“The Ships Bell is a beautiful cottage that is full of character. I really loved the kitchen and the smell of the old stone wall. It was really well equipped. the beds were very comfortable and the two bathrooms were lovely. The Ships bell is a very short walk to the harbour and you can see the river from the bedroom window. The only small negative is that there is no parking in the old part of the village. You can stop for a short time to unload, but it can be difficult to get a space. My advice is to pack sensibly, so you can load and unload the car quickly! I would definitely stay again :)”

“Cosy cottage with a quirky layout. The location is just off the Main Street and very handy, note that parking is tricky so best to offload and park in the public carpark at the top of the (steep) hill - charges apply. We found the cottage very comfortable for four of us and extremely well equipped and very clean. The kitchen is unusual in that it is in the former cellar. By its nature the cottage is small but very well planned and we found it very clean and comfortable. If I was being picky I would say that the only flaws are that the table in the kitchen is a bit big for the space available and some of the windows can’t be kept open without a wedge, but these are minor issues. We had a really nice weekend here and could have stayed longer.”
