A last minute 2 night short break. Booked as we knew the area. Positive Great spot for fishing Nice decking Good quality bedding Good location for touring area Negatives Instructions for caravan location not detailed enough. A map of the site prior to arrival would have been beneficial. A cleaning pack was provided which was not eco friendly as all disposable items, this included dishwasher tablets but no dishwasher. Cutlery poor quality. Cigarette butt outside near ash tray. Shower cubicle very small We had to get patio equipment from under main bed which could be difficult if you have mobility issues. TV in main bedroom blocks mirror. Personally have stayed in other places cheaper with more luxury items.

A lovely, relaxing stay with fantastic fishing Positive: The location was beautiful, a lovely holiday park and a lovely front lake setting. Very peaceful and the fishing was great for my son and husband. Negative: The property had a smell of damp which went when we turned the heating on but came back when it went off.

Very nice quiet place. Having the lake just off the veranda gave lovely peaceful views. Each plot seems to have its own fishing pitch. The place itself felt homely and open

Lovely park, my partner loved the fishing, absolutely beautiful accommodation, Serenity was the perfect name for this lodge, it is in a serene location and had everything you needed and more, cannot fault it, we will be back x

The lodge is very comfortable with good beds and a great shower. There are plenty of bathroom supplies and generous sized good quality towels. We self catered and the kitchen had everything we required, although we brought our own gas bbq. The best thing about the lodge is its position on the lakeside , which meant watching the ducks and the fish and great sunsets.

Awesome, great relaxing venue and brilliant for star gazing at night. Positive: Lovely location, great chalet, beautiful site. Negative: Single beds are a bit small.

Basterebbe poco per fare il salto di qualità Positive: La posizione, comodissima per esplorare Castle Howard, York e Whitby. Bellissima la vista sul laghetto. Negative: La pulizia lasciava un po' a desiderare, pensili un po' unti e alcune stoviglie sporche. Le dotazioni della cucina erano carenti. Comunicazione con l'host assente: abbiamo scritto il secondo giorno perché non riuscivamo ad accendere il riscaldamento e non ci ha mai risposto (siamo stati 5 notti). Nessuna indicazione su dove gettare la spazzatura e la differenziata.

We’ve just had a fantastic 2 night stay at this lodge in Brickyard Lakes. The place was spot on and exactly as described: super clean, brilliant layout, and really well equipped for everything we needed as a family of four. ​The lake views were stunning - it was so peaceful and quiet throughout our stay. We had such a lovely, relaxing time and will without a doubt be looking to come back again in the near future. Highly recommend!

What makes a break is a sense of value for money. Didn’t get that .. ridiculous check out time ! Positive: Location lovely Negative: The smelled of damp Poor value for money

We had a lovely stay at Serenity. The property was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated and the setting on the lake was stunning, which made evenings feel so peaceful and relaxing. Location is great for exploring local attractions like Castle Howard. We’d definitely return.

We had the most fantastic stay at Serenity. It was extremely clean and well prepared for our stay; I was pleased to find tea and coffee had been supplied as well as cleaning products and family games. It really helped to make our stay more comforts and manageable with 2 young children. The property and location was beautiful, we enjoyed sitting out watching over the lake at night after busy days exploring the local area and York, itself. We would definitely stay at Serenity again if we ever get the chance to come back again!

Very tight space and definitely not suitable for anyone over 6ft; particularly in shower and bedroom.

Nice but spoilt by the bed. Positive: Sad that I was given the wrong code for the lodge and had to search for lodge Negative: What we didn’t like was a. No one there to meet us l b. Lodge was lovely but the bed was horrendous and needs to be replaced at once, was so old. c. Cooker dangerous as red hot door kept swinging too. Obviously not level. d. tap in kitchen swings around, not good. e. Both plugs to sinks in bathrooms don’t work very well and are sticking

The location is absolutely stunning if you don't mind the country roads to get there. Super lovely place to stay, with all you might possibly need gor a short stay.

Lovely location but few things that let it down, for example: Struggled to find the place, ideal if W10 was communicated with description Really strong smell which came from sink Few little maintenance touch ups needed, like a blind in bathroom

We had a lovely stay at serenity. The scenery from the lodge is beautiful and very peaceful. The beds are comfortable and the lodge is described as seen, clean and tidy. They have games etc in the lodge too which is a nice touch. It was very hot when we were there so could have done with an umbrella on the deck, there is a stand there but no umbrella unfortunately. One thing I was disappointed in is it’s advertised as flexible but after booking, when I asked about flexibility they were unable to help me with even a slightly earlier check in or later check out. Check out is at 10am and check in is 4pm so even if other people are staying the night before I do feel that is more than enough time to do a change over. Even getting in an hour earlier would have helped us massively on the day of our arrival. Having said that, the place is very picturesque and many people have asked me about it so I have recommended. I would return as we did have a nice break away :)

Positive: The chalet was nice and comfortable and had everything we needed and the views were amazing Negative: The WiFi was terrible. Could not get a signal anywhere and the WiFi was so weak it didnt let us open anything. Plus the televisions in the bedrooms wouldn't work because there was the WiFi was so bad.
