the location was perfect, as well that we were able to park our car. a short walk away from the center whitby. it was relaxed and everything that we needed was there. sadly it was dirty (floor, hair towel, oven plates) but I texted that Charlie and he responded very good and as we had a dog with us it was okay with the floor. to get into the flat it is complicated as the description is not right. the doors are grey and there are many keys to put in the keysafe😂😂 but it was still very good there

Positive: Good location, lift to the apartment, secure underground parking. It's a spacious apartment with large bedrooms and a lovely view over the river, if you have a dog ideal walking area at end of Whitehall Landing, nice and quiet too

Positive: Nice apartment overall. Good parking and lift access. Allows pets. Wonderful view of tidal River and 15 min walk into town. Negative: Weak point was kitchen. Fridge too small and freezer tiny and needed defrost so wouldn't open. No tea towels. Large pan has perished and needs replacing. No facilities for recycling in kitchen even though main bins provide for recycling. Only one loo roll for family of 4. Arrival instructions unhelpful as it refers to blue doors which have been painted grey!

Location, location, location as the saying goes! Private parking through locked gates in Whitby is a bonus and a rare find! immaculate property,a must for me is a comfortable bed! Deep mattress, gorgeous bed linen and towels too! Stunning window seat with river views perfect for people watching! Tea bags and coffee in jars and dog biscuits! nice touch! Definitely stay here again! Only negative the heating,the guide book describes a different stytem! The heating is digital n did take some fighting out! Apart from that we found somewhere special that's dog friendly! 👍

Lovely apartment. Very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay and the addition of a parking space was a real bonus. We enjoyed the views of the harbour. Very dog friendly, he even coped with the lift!

Excellent stay in a spacious property which suited our needs. Positive: Free, secure parking. Spacious, well equipped property that was pet friendly; you would not have known a pet had ever stayed there; very clean and no pet smell. Good amenities. Comfy beds. Excellent communication throughout. Negative: The instructions for controlling the radiators didn’t apply to the radiators in the property. They had a touch screen with some options we didn’t fully understand and we struggled to get the radiator in the bedroom to adjust. However, we did have a number we could have used if we needed help, but we sorted it in the end. TV reception not so good if not on Sky, but no big deal as TV has Sky box.

Awesome location,excellent for dogs and ideal for what we required. Positive: Great location, parking was good but we did get the wrong bay ,ideal for dog walking too . Negative: Not enough toilet roll for a week ,also more tea coffee and if possible milk would add the edge for weeks stay . The hood extractor needs a little attention . Tv lost signal regularly.. Makes this a good ,but could easily be great.

Lovely Whitby break! Positive: Love the underground secure parking. No getting wet to load and unload car!😂 Really nice apartment. Negative: Bathroom not disabled friendly. Floor extremely slippery, (even for able bodied) needs handles to get in and out of shower/ bath, as bath is quite high. Windows in lounge difficult to open and close.

A great stay with friends. Easy to walk to town and seaside. Quiet, comfy beds, all doors squeaky - WD40 dose, only 1 roll of toilet paper & shower screen leaks ☹️

Positive: The accommodation was beautiful with great views and easy links to Whitby and surrounding areas Negative: As I was there for 2 weeks, the lack of drying facilities for washing was missing (possibly provide a clothes horse (airer)). I used hangers but was concerned I'd ruin furniture. Also due to hot weather, another set of bedding would have been appreciated

Celebrated my 61rst birthday and was so lucky to stay at this beautiful flat. Weather was fantastic and views were stunning. Short walk away into the centre of whitby. Will be retuning again and highly recommend to family and friends.

Fab anniversary get away Positive: Great location. Little touches were fantastic. Christmas decorations were an added bonus. Very comfy beds and stunning apartment. Negative: The apartment requires a deep clean, hairs in the bath, dust and dirt on floor. Front door could do with an oil - very squeaky. Advertised as Sky TV, but didn’t work, only had 1-5 channels, kept requesting the Sky card. One toilet roll was disappointing.

Positive: The location and views were great. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Ideal place for a small family to stay. Negative: The floor in the bathroom flooded when using the shower.

Perfect apartment for a few days getaway to Whitby. Positive: Clean, well equipped, comfortable and well located with a great view of the estuary.

Fabulous location that more than made up for some difficulty getting into the key safe.

Check-in was a touch troubled, as the doors described in the details were not blue, and the lockbox was not numbered or obvious so we had to trial and error a bit. But beyond that, it was a beautiful stay - gorgeously appointed apartment, lots of nice homely touches, plenty of space, incredibly comfortable sofa and bedding and a lovely view, About 10-15 mins walk from the middle of town, it was a great weekend and I would recommend.

Whitby Stay Positive: The location and the space in the apartment were great. Good value for money, clean and extra towels because of our long stay. Negative: Needed more cupboard space in kitchen. The sofa dips in areas.

Lovely Whitby base Positive: Location. Communication. Ease of check in Parking included Slightly cheaper than other properties in the area. Would consider staying again as a base as know what to expect if price was right. Negative: Not as clean/ well maintained as other properties I've stayed in at Whitehall Landing. Marks on walls and furnishings make it look a little tired and added to feeling of not being clean. Bathroom lock very stiff and shower would often leak onto floor.. Also, it was a shame we couldn't open the window in the lounge, as very hot, however, the fan provided was good.

Spacious and handy but needs a little TLC Positive: Great location, spacious and secure parking Negative: Access instructions didn’t tally with what was there when we arrived (confusing after a long drive) and some maintenance is needed to make it safe and allow window opening when it’s very windy, as the rooms were hot overnight. The decor doesn’t match the photos which was also confusing on arrival, but cute additions. An odd detail was listing toilet paper but only providing one roll for a 4 night stay for 2 adults. It was a little grubby in places (under sofa cushions) but generally clean with lovely towels. Charlie replied quickly to messages and overall I would stay again, but the few niggles did mar the enjoyment a little.

Ideal location, somewhat dated but perfectly serviceable for a short stay. Positive: Excellent location -15min walk to the harbour, free secure parking, large bedrooms, comfy sofa, powerful and hot shower, river views. Great for short stays. Negative: The bathroom door lock requires swift attention as it is almost impossible to unlock. Small fridge so dont rely on it for much more than breakfast items. Bedroom and lounge windows incredibly stiff and damaged - could do with maintenance.

Short mid week stay Positive: Located about a 10/15mins walk from the town centre. Spacious apartment with great views. Lift available to accomodate those who struggle with numerous flights of stairs to get to the top floor. Communication was brilliant throughout with very secure parking available for 1 car. Negative: There isn't much to not like!

Perfect, well worth the money, will hopefully stay here again! Positive: Amazing location, the private parking space was perfect, the bed was amazing and the facilities were brilliant Negative: There was a chocolate bar wrapper on the floor in the living room behind the armchair near the window but that's all!

Wonderful break in a scenic location Positive: Once we found the correct street the instructions were spot on - sat nav led us to the front not back of the property.

Good location, clear easy directions (grey doors now, not blue, which threw us for a few minutes) into the accommodation. Parking under-spaces could be bigger, but our fault in a big car (normal sized vehicles would be fine). Once upstairs, all was good. Bed was the comfiest ever, after our daily walks, was most welcomed. Really proactive host, with listings for stuff to do and where to go. Will use again

Ideal location,property in need of a deep clean,dirty smell and dirty floors ,lingering smell. Positive: Location was really good,a few minutes walk into Whitby. Negative: This property needs a deep clean ,I cleaned most of the kitchen floor with kitchen roll and detol,it was sticky with dirt and was a smell to the property that lingered.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Apartment was lovely, very cosy and homely and well equipped. Lovely views over the river. Very pleasant walk into nearby Whitby. Only glitch was in the apartment description. Description indicated a dvd player and we had taken dvd games to play in the evenings rather than just watch TV. Unfortunately there was no dvd player. Emailed Host and Stay, who responded very quickly, and organised with the housekeeper to bring a dvd player to the apartment the following evening. We felt the apartment information should have been updated to reflect the current apartment contents, but nevertheless the issue was resolved quickly. Would not hesitate to book this apartment again.

Superb stay at Seal Watch. Positive: Wonderful view of the river.The apartment was very comfy and felt homely. Lovely walk into Whitby town . Definitely be booking Seal Watch again. Negative: The only thing was a note saying that the window was stiff to open and close, and not to open it. This was in the living room and it was quite warm when the sun was on it. Needed a bit of fresh air.

Seal Watch is a really lovely apartment with the added bonus of its own secure parking (very hard to come by in Whitby!) Located close enough to the town to walk in within a few minutes but far out enough to be peaceful as you’re not right in the centre. Lovely views from all windows. Very well equipped, clean, and nicely decorated. We have felt right at home instantly both times we’ve rented this apartment. We’ll definitely be booking again in future, thanks for having us!

Disappointed Positive: Location was good Bedrooms were good size and main room overlooked the river , bedrooms were clean and tidy , WiFi worked well Negative: Kitchen was dirty, bins not emptied , cooker greasy, cooker trays had dirty used foil on them, cups were tea stained, units grimey, kettle had water inside , plates were greasy and glasses dirty, floor was very dirty ...I thought the cleaners had missed the kitchen, but also the living area was thick with dust, tv remote was greasy, and floor not cleaned well , table mats needed a wipe, was a warm weekend but we couldn't open the windows as there was a note advising not to open as they get stuck ! Bathroom floor was dirty I'm only allowed to add a few pictures

Seal Watch is on the 3rd floor (with a lift) boasting amazing views over the estuary and harbour. The secure underground car park is a real bonus, especially as parking can be both at a premium and expensive in Whitby. The flat had lovely decor and was really a home from home, with very comfortable beds. I'd suggest one of the nicest we'd ever stayed in. Location was perfect. Very peaceful surroundings with a refreshing and scenic 15-20 minute walk alongside the estuary into town. From the Quay outside the accommodation, you can also view Whitby Abbey on the hill. Whitby itself is always a joy to visit and this time was really nice to discover new places. The 20 min boat ride offered possibly the best value for money of our trip. Magpie Cafe is also a must, but I'd suggest booking! Also worth a visit are Sherlocks Coffee Shop (the one in town), Mr Coopers Coffee Shop and Cosa Nostra. A thoroughly enjoyable short stay in a really nice accommodation. Hope to return again!

Lovely apartment with a great view. Spacious and comfortable. A short walk into the town and to the sea front and shops. Check in was ok once we realised the instructions hadn't been updated and we were actually looking for grey doors not blue! Also there were many lockboxes so it would be handy if they were labelled in some way. We were disappointed by the cleanliness of the apartment but overall a wonderful stay.

Had a lovely stay in Whitby. Accommodation was in a peaceful location close to all local amenities. It had everything we needed to ensure a comfortable stay.

The appartement was clean and had everything we needed, and the location is very good being a 10 minute walk to the town centre. We did have a minor issue, couldn't find the iron, but the owners were very good and brought us one the following day. Overall we had a lovely comfortable stay.

Great apartment in a great location with the bonus of secure parking. Rooms are lovely and large bedrooms, master with a lovely view over the river.

Overall our stay a Seal Watch was ok. Positive: Property was very spacious especially the bedrooms, the living room had plenty of comfortable seating, dining room table and chairs if needed, and a big TV, not that we watched it much. It was great to have a private parking space. Negative: The property was a bit on the cold side. The cleaning could have done with more attention to detail dust on head board, dust on shelves in bathroom, a bit overkill with ornaments on window sills and in the bathroom. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk into Whitby Centre, so anyone with mobility issues might find it difficult.

Seal Watch Positive: The Seal Watch is a real home from home. With everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect for us, quiet but only a short walk away from Whitby centre. Secure onsite parking was good too with access to the property and a lift upto the apartment.

Superb Location, Modern, Clean & Smart would come here again! Positive: Loved the layout & decor of the property, location was superb as well. Clean, Tidy & would stay again! Only issue was the signal for Sky TV was poor kept buffering & the water didn’t get hot enough when having a bath

Nice apartment needs some tweaking Positive: Ideally Located just far enough from the centre but near enough for the short walk to the beach or centre , views from the accomomodation was nice, comfortable , spacious , parking, Negative: Numerous times i had to ring host and stay . The apartment was freezing with no way of turning the heating up as it was wifi enabled and locked . ( wasnt resolved after reporting 3 times) Tv was pixelated and had a pin protection so you was very limited as to what you could watch . ( Wasnt resolved) The switches tripped and we had to get someone round as the fuse box was locked away in a cupboard . Resolved but not ideal having your evening interupted by maintinence when could of been fixed in seconds

Nearly a 10 out of 10! Positive: Excellent location with parking. Great views and fully equipped. Welcome pack really lovely touch. Negative: It was quite cold during our stay and we couldn’t change any settings on the heating. Main problem was not being able to watch any tv. Main tv buffered constantly to the point we had to turn it off and tv in main room had an eco setting that we couldn’t change without a code which we didn’t have access to.

The apartment is lovely! Exactly as described. Clean and welcoming and the little snacks were a fantastic touch.

Great apartment, great facilities, great location Positive: We have stayed various apartments during our visits over the years, but this was, first time in seal watch, we found it modern, spacious, mattress and pillows were great. Parking is easy , view is great from apartment. What more do you need for a long weekend, will book again for sure. Negative: Hot water was not on upon arrival, and there was no big drama as there was a shower, but if it has a bath, then hot water is a bonus to fill it. Went and bought a set of Allan keys to tighten Double bed frame as it was quite loose, rendering the bed very noisy. Again, no big drama, just a small thing that could have been sorted before arrival

Decent apartment with parking Positive: Great location with parking which is a rare thing in Whitby. Not too long to walk into town but nice and quiet. Great views over the river and the steam train too! Clean new towels, bed linen. Nice and secure. Negative: Dusting could have been better, thick on night stand lamp base. Too many ornaments in the bathroom meant hard to put out our stuff, not needed really. Black mold on tiles in bathroom which should be tackled. Not enough hot water for 2 bed ( 4 people) flat, and the shower leaked. Main bedroom, the bed was V creaky and loud because of it - rolling over woke each other up. Key safe could do with marking which one it is there are several with no markings, which if we arrived in the dark would have proved impossible to work out and resulted in a call...

Positive: Lovely location. Comfy and clean. Well equipped. Secure building and parking. Great customer service from Host and Stay. We would book again. Negative: Shower wasn't great. Low pressure and leaked. Needs better blinds in the bedrooms as the rooms were very light in the mornings.

This flat was the perfect base for us to be able to explore the surrounding areas and be able to walk into Whitby for evenings out. Will definitely try to book this flat again when we return.
