Great place, very clean and tidy, great location to the centre. Lovely view and my little girl who is nearly 2 loved it looking out at the boats every morning and evening more special we seen a seal in the morning out the window swimming. Quick response when we had any questions. Would stay again
Loved the view from this apartment, and it was an easy walk into Whitby. It was spacious and clean, with a good size kitchen and dining space. As a family of four, we felt like we had plenty of room. There were plenty of supplies for washing up (tea towels, sponges, washing up liquid) but only one dishwasher tablet and no shower gel or bars of soap. There was a cafetiere and a teapot, but not a coffee machine. This is not a complaint - I just like to know what is there and what I need to bring, so I hope it's helpful for others. The hot water and shower all worked well and the beds were very comfortable. We had a very good stay and would definitely return if we came back to Whitby.
A pleasant enough few days away Positive: Nice spot on the edge of mooring strips, looking up to the abbey. Negative: A balcony would have been nice and a second set of keys for 4 people are really needed. Getting out by 10 is a bit hard if you are disabled like me. I hope you won’t mind that the last thing to do is put on the dish washer and the cleaner will kindly unload it, thank you.

The Property was as described, within easy walking distance of the town and beaches. Private and locked parking is especially nice if you have a valuable car/motorcycle.

Stunning apartment with gorgeous views Positive: My sister-in-law and I recently came back from a 3 night stay at Seal View, in Whitby which we booked with Host & Stay via booking.com. The booking procedure was simple and Host & Stay kept in touch with us via regular emails and also included a very useful link to a digital guide which gave us all the information we would need during our stay. Seal View is a stunning light and spacious modern apartment situated on the third floor of a four storey block with gorgeous views overlooking the River Esk and marina which is about a 10 minute walk along the river from the main centre of Whitby with its shops, pubs, restaurants and historic places of interest. This 2 bedoom apartment was spotlessly clean and has its own dedicated parking space in the gated underbuilding garage, an absolute bonus! The apartment definitely has a touch of luxury about it and was equipped with everything you would need to make it home from home. One of the highlights was watching the historic steam engine trains pass by on the other side of the river which we were fortunate to see while there. We would definitely recommend this apartment and will look at other Host & Stay locations for any future road trips. Negative: We only have one negative comment to make this being the lift appeared to be out of order (stuck on the first floor) on the day that we arrived (Saturday) so trying to carry all our luggage up to the third floor (6 flights) was not ideal. We did report this and were informed later that day that the lift maintenance company had been informed and that an engineer would attend as soon as possible. We checked out three days later (Tuesday) and the lift was still out of order so having to walk up and down the stairs all the time that we were there was not only hard for us, but would have been an enormous problem for a person with mobility difficulties. In saying the above, this was just an unfortunate event which coincided with our stay and should not deter anyone from staying in this wonderful apartment.
Positive: The accommodation. The cleanliness. The decor. The attention to detail. Negative: Confused over room number and parking space. Didn't receive clear enough instructions. Said we would be welcomed at accommodation but unfortunately weren't ,hence the room number etc .We needed clarification and support. .

Seal View is a fantastic Apartment with the most amazing views up the river towards Whitby and the sea. You can even see the Abbey. We had an amazing stay for my Dad’s 80th birthday. The Apartment is so comfortable, cozy and warm. The kitchen has all the utensils that are required to cater for yourselves. There are big electric radiators in each room. There is a Freeview TV, Radio, CD Player and a cupboard full of DVD’s. The beds are really comfortable. The bathroom is spotless. There is also underground secure parking. Whitby is a lovely 15 minute walk along the river. Seal View is highly recommended. I will definitely be returning.
Really lovely place, was in good walking distance of the city centre. Nice local called “the middle earth”. 20 minute walk from the abbey, lovely view of the harbour especially at night time.

Great apartment, great views and location, easy parking. Positive: Apartment was really well set up, pretty much everything you could think of kitchen wise. Negative: First world problem, but the duvet was a little thick for the season, we woke up too warm a couple of times

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment in Whitby, clean, spacious and a great location with lovely views over River Esk. We enjoyed the 10 min walk to the centre of Whitby because there are a couple of really nice pubs on route which we may never have used if we wasn’t walking by. I will definitely be booking this apartment again soon.

Great location with parking. Lovely space and views. Within walking distance to town centre with restaurants close by. Ideal living space and the rooms were a good size with lots of storage. The kitchen had everything you needed and you could tell the whole place had been well cleaned before arrival. The host was quick to respond to queries. I will recommend to friends and family and would stay here again.
Fabulous apartment in a great location just a short walk into Whitby town centre. Great view of the River Esk and Whitby itself from the massive lounge window. Private parking is included with this property which is a rare find in Whitby. The apartment itself was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. The bed was particularly comfortable. Great communication with the host from booking until checkout and who replied to messages very promptly. We would highly recommend this property and will definitely book again in the future. Thank you for everything 😊
