Great location just off the main street, wonderful flat, spotlessly clean, just right for two. We had a great time, lots of walking, good restaurants. Will stop again if we can.

Diving week away with the Wife, who doesn't dive..... Positive: Fantastic stay at Seahouses, great space for 2 people. I fully recommend and would stay again. Negative: To be finicky, the bed was too hard for me, but once I got comfortable, I had a great night's sleep.

Great little appartment in centre of town, great for a couple. Positive: Very clean, excellent position, good parking, warm in winter. Negative: The brand new hob looked good but was not good to cook on. We hardly used it as we ate out mostly. Took a long time for the on demand hot water to come through shower. The fire escape type access was a little offputting. Perhaps a warning on the description.

All in all a nice place to stay 4* Positive: Location was ideal, situated in the centre of town with an allotted parking space. Everything we needed was in the apartment from cooking to cleaning. A very nice place to stay. Negative: The mattress on the bed was the biggest issue for both me and my wife. We both said it was the worst mattress we had ever slept on it was so uncomfortable, this has been mentioned in previous posts. I also think if you have 2 cleaners coming in after your stay they could do a better job ie make sure all pots and pans are clean and the portable hoover is emptied of debris, just little touches I know. I also had to report damage to freezer door (broken )and worktop as I’d paid an insurance on the property.

Wonderful break in an ideal location if you're looking to be in the centre of Seahouses... Positive: Excellent location - right in the middle of Seahouses, so only needed to use the car once during the 4 night stay. Apartment had all the basics you needed . So ideal for two people... Negative: The metal stairs up to the apartment are fine for the fit and healthy and if you're very careful but could be a bit tricky if you're not great on your feet. It was dry and sunny during our stay... in winter the steps might be a bit more difficult...

Failed to answer any of our queries, their only responsive communications were to demand extra insurance fees, explain why these were legitimate, and that failure to pay would result in our booking being cancelled with no refund. Airbnb later confirmed that this is now allowed (!) by the platform via some obscure T and C about a ‘third party API’. House is basic but fine, but bed, furniture and provided goods are all the cheapest, nastiest stuff they could possibly get their hands on. Very cheap and uncomfortable mattress, better off camping on that front. House also had distinct, strong stench of male cat spray in bathroom (to which I am allergic). Airbnb seem to have chronically diluted the quality of their customer experience (and apparently their insurance guarantees to hosts). My partner is an airbnb super host of many years and we both agree after this that there are now plenty of better alternative rental platforms around. Utterly unrecommended.

Would love to stay again but wouldn't due to access issues Positive: Lovely flat, great location Negative: Not happy with the access to the apartment. It states there is stairs but doesn't tell you they are external metal fire escape type staircase., that gets slippy when wet. Miss advertising. I am a 76 year old lady who has difficulty walking but can manage internal staircases but really struggled with theses steps. Wouldn't have gone to the property if I'd known about the access situation . I feel that in future it should clearly state on the accommodation that tge steps are external and not suitable for everyone.

Me and my partner were a last minute tag along for a family holiday so were after a place in seahouses quite last minute, with central location for a good price. This ticked all those boxes. We stayed Monday to Friday and from the get go the hosts were very responsive and helped with any questions I had. The address provided lead us straight there and the parking spot was a bonus for being in the centre of seahouses. Lock box for the key was also very straight forward. The property was in perfect location and had everything we needed, with a co-op right across the road. The only negative I could have for the property is the sofa had a few marks on- but this is me being picky and it didn’t bother us but may bother some clean freaks out there! Other than that this property was very clean and I would recommend this stay for couples wanting to visit the area!

Locating the flat was difficult as directions indicated that we would be located on the Main Street, unfortunately after asking at a local shop we realised that the flat was actually in a block of flats behind the Main Street and situated behind a busy Indian restaurant. There was an allocated parking space for the flat however the area was small so often got blocked by the delivery drivers to the Indian restaurant and was not easily accessible. Flat it’s self was hard to access too as the neighbouring flat has a bench on the upper veranda used to enter the front door, leaving just over a foot between the bench and railings for you to squeeze through. This felt very unsafe balancing our luggage, pram and baby over this obstacle to gain entry. The flat on the surface seemed clean and tidy, but upon further inspection areas where very unclean, the filter above the kitchen window was filled with dust and yellow grime and grease, the handles to the cupboards and doors where dirty, the fridge handle was dirty with food crumbs inside and cups and plates where sticky and greasy as if they had not been washed up correctly. There was a really unfortunate mould / wet smell that we eventually worked out was coming from the bathroom and dissipated once we knew to keep the bathroom door closed. Still the bad smell meant we had to keep all the windows open to ensure a fresh air supply and had to purchase air fresheners from the local shop which put us off spending time in the flat. We stayed for 2 nights a Saturday and Sunday night which meant that the Indian restaurant was busy so it was very noisy with cars coming and going for takeaways service and the back door to the kitchen is constantly open meaning you could hear everything inside. The noise from the Indian calmed down between 10pm - 11pm at night, however this is when the noise from the neighbouring flats began. I am not sure if they are permanent let’s or more holiday let’s but they were at the time occupied by a group of young people who stayed up drinking on the verandas of the flats until around 5am being very noisy on the Saturday and on the Sunday night until a similar time trying to sing karaoke from what we could make out. Overall I would say not a suitable accommodation for a young family or anyone wanting a quite retreat. Not what I would of expected from a super host.

Great location but info from host could be simpler Positive: Good location, had everything I needed for the short golf trip Negative: The Host web site don’t make it easy to track down the key box code. I left about 4 phone call messages as no one answers their phone, it was just my wife ringing me saying that she had seen a message at home. I now have a very long email basically saying the same thing over and over and over again.

Dale's place was just perfect. From location, to privacy, to the simple, yet complete interior of the apartment. Literally the perfect spot for a cosy weekend (or longer!) stay. Plenty of room for two people. The apartment felt bright and airy. And the shower was lush! It felt blissful coming back to this place after a day spent outdoors, in castles, and amongst the beauty of Northumberland.

Seahouses is a brilliant holiday spot and this apartment is really convenient, right on the high street. The apartment is bright and clean, well equipped and modern. It’s run by a company so doesn’t have cosy touches (super clean, but bright ceiling lights rather than cosy lamps). They have a guidebook online but its details about the heating system are out of date so we couldn’t get the heating on at first. We figured it out, but their reply to our enquiry was a copy paste answer from the out of date guidebook.

Absolutely fantastic, will stay again. Negative: The car parking instructions look simple but when we arrived we used the space below the apartment as per instruction. This bay was marked 1. When we lEft, the bay next to us was empty (the first time in 4 days) It was marked with a 4, our apartment number. Fortunately App 1 had been empty all week, just random locals parking there. If the numbers were painted in front of the space rather than in it, it would make things clearer.

Positive: Location was great. Everything in the kitchen you needed. Apartment was very warm and spacious. Negative: The steep metal steps weren't ideal. We couldn't find the wheelie bin for No 4. A small lamp in the living room would have made it much more cozy. Too many spot lights for an evening relaxation in the living room. The mattress wasn't the best.

Lovely apartment Positive: Super clean, spacious, everything you needed, great bathroom, plenty of cupboards and hangers. Car parking space Negative: View opposite is the back of Indian and car park not a pretty outlook when you first drive in quite disappointed but once in apartment changed our minds as the apartment was lovely. Just one other thing when paying the bank would not pay and put my card on hold as it was in 2 payments so they thought it was fraud but host and stay were very helpful it took quite a lot of calls to the bank not host and stays fault but maybe one payment would make it easier

Excellent stay. Positive: The location very close to all amenities. Negative: Mattress was a little uncomfortable.

The location could not have been better. Our car space was good. The apartment was easily accessible and in a good position for seeing Seahouses (which is a lovely resort) The apartment was exactly as described and the photos matched. Clean linen and towels. Comfortable seating. All the pots, pans and utensils you need. The communication from Charlie was excellent. The steps leading to the apartment were metal and you needed to be careful on them.

Excellent except for the bed. Positive: The decor was good and the shower was excellent. Negative: The mattress was so uncomfortable and made for 3 poor night's sleep. It appeared to be an old fashioned sprung type which creaked if you moved and you could feel the springs pressing into you. It needs replacing as it ruined an other wise nice apartment.

10/10 highly recommend Positive: So close to the town, very clean, loved having the linens, towels. It was the perfect place for our weekend away Negative: My only slight critique is the stairs up can be slippy when wet but the actual property was amazing

had a lovely week in Seahouses. Apartment was perfectly placed right in the centre of the village and all required amenities such a supermarket and Fish and chips shops with 1 minute walk. Northumberland is a beautiful county and seahouses the perfect base for a holiday there. Highly recommend this property and it's location.

Seafarers is in a great central location and the parking space that goes with the apartment is a real bonus. The apartment itself is clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Great stay. Great location. Positive: fairly comfy clean and neat small apartment for two. Location superb in a lovely sea fishing village with all you need as soon as you walk out the door pub, fish n chips, harbour, Co-op store and Beaches. Negative: wi-fi was crap could not stream from Netflix account etc it worked a little better but not much if you move the router to the back of the tv instead of on the little table its on as i think the overhead electric cables out side the window interfere with the signal then and only then did ITV .. BBC and other work better but still had small issues.

Warm, comfortable first floor flat behind Trotters bakery, Main St, Seahouses. Positive: Great location in centre of Seahouses. Warm, comfortable and well equipped. Negative: The access was up a flight of steep metal steps and along wooden decking, which hadn't been made clear to us and was a bit hazardous in rain and frost. (From the listing, we actually thought it was the flat above the bakery at No. 38 Main Street and only discovered it's location when we called Host and Stay on arrival to check where to park).

The apartment was a perfect place to stay in a beautiful location for a couple of nights. Lots of places to eat, super convenient for the co-op, Indian restaurant, pubs, amusements, bakery… and more. It was very easy to find, easy to park and no trouble entering as described with the lock box. Everything was clean, and we even had a view of Bamburgh castle through the lounge window! If I had one complaint it would be the bed - springs and noisy but it’s such a small thing and we got used to it after one night. I will definitely consider using this apartment again when visiting Seahouses in the future… if it’s available!

Photos were of a different flat. Flat didn't have the listed bathtub (only a shower). Bed was uncomfortable (very hard with spring core). Otherwise good kitchen, compfy couch etc, good heaters Location is great, but might be loud in summer. Easy to get to all local shops/restaurants/the beach. Great to make day trips to Northumberland sights. Host uses bot for responses, when communicating with a human, they only seemed to be an employee unable to deal with complaints without an extra complaints form.

Lovely village. Property needs improvements and listing should be updated. Positive: Seahouses is a great location and very handy to have an allocated parking space below the flat. Seahouses is a great base to explore Northumberland from and is a lovely village to stay in. The ‘Seafarers’ flat had the basics and was tidy. The property guidebook was useful. Negative: Very uncomfortable bed - at first I thought it was just a firm mattress (and that’s a matter of preference) but when it came time to go to bed, I could not only feel but also hear every spring in the mattress. The popping and tinging of the springs woke me up every night and it was just lumpy, tough and uncomfortable. I would recommend that the mattress and pillows are replaced soon. I didn’t sleep well once during my stay. The ‘Seafarers’ property info on Host and Stay website is not current and doesn’t all apply to this flat. The photos are also different as it has clearly been redecorated since they were taken. It is mostly the same, however, the photos and list of amenities both feature a bathtub and now there is just a walk-in shower, which was disappointing. I was not impressed that shortly before my stay I was informed that I needed to pay an additional damage waiver/insurance before I arrived. This meant that I paid more than quoted on the property listing, despite having already booked and paid. It was not made clear a time of booking. Views only of car parks from front and rear of property but on a clear day you could see the distant outline of Bamburgh Castle, though the window was very dirty to look through.

We had a lovely time. The accommodation was perfect for us. Immaculate, clean and cozy. The location was perfect for walking distance to shops, restaurants and great views along the beach.

Seahouses apartment Positive: Very clean, modern apartment. Good location. Well equipped kitchen area. Negative: Bed not too comfortable. Only one small sofa, wasn't very comfy for two people. Ironing board was broken, this was reported immediately but wasn't resolved.

Positive: Clean and simple Negative: The location left a lot to be desired, a car park on one side and the backs of shops and restaurants. Only one hand towel in the apartment. I didn't like the fact that before I was given the key code to enter the apartment I had to pay £20 'insurance fee'.

Squeaky Bed! Positive: Lovely apartment, with everything you needed supplied for your stay. Very spacious and clean, loved the size of the bathroom! (they're normally quite tight for space!) Plenty of storage and a good size hanging rail for clothes! Very comfortable overall. (apart from the bed!) Negative: (a) The steps to get into the apartment are like fire escape ones. I always was a bit wary of going up and down them, especially if it was a bit damp. (b) The bed! The mattress was so springy!! You only had to touch it and you could feel the springs. Once in it, it squeaked with every move and when one person moved the other got bounced about! Didn't have a good night's sleep all week. (we actually came home a day early to our own bed!!)

Positive: Nice apartment but could be difficult to drive on to the main Street especially if a car was parked near the entrance. Negative: The back yard was dirty and untidy. A spare toilet roll would have been handy!

Seahouses is a great place to stay. Positive: Bathroom and Kitchen were good although the kitchen needed more utensils. Negative: Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable as was the settee. No opening window in the lounge area for ventilation.

Excellent. Would stay again. Positive: The location was perfect for walking out the door to pick up freshly baked bread, go to the restaurants and walk down to the harbour. There was so much to see within a half hour drive. We would definitely stay again. Negative: Nothing.

Ideal location and lovely apartment ! Positive: I honestly could not fault anything with the property, great central location and Seahouses is very close to many different places. The apartment was in perfect condition and decorated brilliantly, it made us feel very at home and comfortable here. The hosts provided many additional facilities that we did not expect, and communication was great leading up to our stay. Very spacious shower, water pressure wasn't the best but this was not an issue at all for us. If you have mobility issues the upstairs apartment would not be suitable due to the fire escape entry, but this was no issue for us and was stated in the booking. We didn't want to leave and would absolutely be back again to stay! ! Couldn't recommend enough :)

Très bien situé nous avons eu des ennuie de chauffage au début mais l hôte a été très proactif et nous a aider rapidement. Petit appartement douillet près de tout! Seul était bémole à été le lit qui était très inconfortable. On sentait les springs dans notre dos. Mais tout le reste était parfait

Seafarers in Seahouses Positive: Apartment was in a good location. Clean and tidy yet a bit dated! Negative: The apartment access was an outside metal staircase, with a dangerous top step with no lights. So I had to use a torch! The walkway that leads to the apartment had restricted access due to a seat partially blocking path approximately 12 inches to squeeze past ,( bearing in mind the access is on upper floor looking down 15ft) also the decking that was on staircase walkway was a tad slippery when wet . In my opinion an accident waiting to happen. Apartment not suitable for people with mobility issues!

We had a great stay in Seahouses. Location couldn’t be any better as you are in the centre of town. Lots to do and the accomodation was clean and spacious. Would love to stay again.

Good size and location of apartment but comfort, condition and lack of Wi-Fi disappointing Positive: Good size apartment in a central location with free parking Bed linen and towels were spotless thankfully Negative: Poor access due to neighbours outdoor bench blocking the stairway. Bed so uncomfortable and castors on laminate floor made it very dangerous. Was once very nice but a bit shabby now I took multi purpose wipes as usual and needed them to give everything a once over but I am a bit picky like that. Free Wi-Fi not available for 2 out of 3 nights

Good but not great. Positive: The apartment was central and near all amenities. Negative: The entrance to the apartment was through an alley way and into a back court. There was lots of litter lying about and the front door actually faces the rear of a bakers shop and an Indian restaurant. The stairs up to the apartment were fairly steep and an elderly or infirm person would struggle. Sofa could do with a good clean and the apartment itself could do with a freshen up. Also Wifi does not work.

Location is great but would not stay here again also the access to the property steep grated stairs Positive: Good commuincations leading up to the stay clear guidance for picking up the keys and lock box code Negative: We have stayed at this property before But this time we felt it was very tired not very clean not sure if the host is checking or who they are using to clean but the bedroom was very dusty the bathroom was not clean the shower head was filthy and the kitchen area had a 3 legged table and this lead to a smal bowl being broken as it fell off The bathroom grouting is in poor condition which just makes it not feel like a nice clean place to stay If it was charged at “budget” rates then you would overlook this but the cost at circa £120 per night we expected the place to be a lot cleaner

Nice flat horrid smell in bathroom Positive: The flat itself was really lovely, clean and bright with everything we needed. Negative: Unfortunately the bathroom had the worse smell ever. We opened the window and left fan on but it didn't make much difference. It was so bad i felt I couldnt stay in there too long, no showering. It was obvious there was a problem as there were several air fresheners all in one area. As we were only stopping 3 nights not showering wasn't really a problem, a week would of been different though.

Positive: Flat was clean and comfortable Negative: The location of the flat was a bit disappointing but only because it was round the back of commercial properties which were a bit unattractive and perhaps a little smelly. Sort of surrounded by commercial waste skips! No one's fault but this would definitely deter me from re booking.

The apartment is located behind the Indian restaurant - at the back of the high street. Good location for exploring Seahouses and the surrounding area. Quite basic but okay for a short stay.

A comfortable well equipped apartment centrally located with easy access to all amenities and coastal walks. Main entrance overlooked the kitchen and bin area of a local restaurant whilst rear of property overlooked car park with views beyond.

The flat was just as described, with everything you could want during your stay. Parking was just outside. Communication and follow up was good. The location was really excellent. Right in the centre of Seahouses and an easy drive from many attractions. Seeing the Puffins at the Farne Islands has to be the highlight . I’d also definitely recommend a drive down to Amble and a visit to The Old Boathouse for a memorable fish meal.

Nicely positioned property right in the middle of the village. Very clean, with basic, but adequate, level of furnishings. Close to absolutely everything. It's a real benefit having parking available in the middle of Seahouses but it can be a bit tight getting in and out, particularly if like me you're not used to such spaces.
