A very enjoyable stay Positive: This is a really nice apartment, tastefully appointed, with a good layout and a comfortable bed. The location is great for exploring Whitby. Lovely cafes and breakfast places very close by on Skinner Street. The Beer O' Clock next door is worth a visit - great little micro-brewery - very relaxing and refreshing if you have been walking part of The Cleveland Way! The apartment is close to the railway station and bus station. Negative: The parking is a problem if you have a car, but that is the case for most of Whitby. Pack light and eat out - there are a lot of steps to carry your bags up and it is not always possible to park close to the place. The apartment is lovely, but it is perhaps a bit too minimally kitted out. OK for a short stay. There is street noise so not great if you are a light sleeper. A blind over the back door would be a nice addition.

A great find for a lovely stay in Whitby! Positive: We loved the location and the apartment was spacious, comfy and very clean. The big windows let in so much light and made it feel quite luxurious and we also loved the outside space. Negative: The check out time of 10am felt very early and considering we could not check in until 4pm (we were offered an early check in at an additional cost but didn’t need it on this occasion) felt a big turnaround time that could have been pushed to 11am at least. It also would have been helpful if dishwasher tablets were included as if they were they weren’t readily locatable and would have helped to keep the apartment clean and get more use of the kitchen.

Great location. Plenty of room. Good views from room. Everything you need in thus apartment. Well priced. Central for all the bars and restaurants literally 2 mins walk away also not far from train station..we parked in the Marina car park which was about a 10 min walk. All good. The apartment is comfortable in its furnishing and facilities, with a few flaws that take away from the overall experien Positive: The property is very close to the centre of town, making it very convenient for coming & going as needed. The bathroom facilities are very good, and the bed is very comfortable. Negative: The front door was a bit tricky to lock, and the blinds in the bedroom (even when closed) allowed a lot of light in- making it hard to sleep a lot of the time.

Negative: Entrance to the property not welcoming, rubbish and dirty on entering from the street through the door way to the entrance of the property. The outside terrace in need of cleaning, full of bird excrement and requires some TLC.

Positive: Great central location, ideal to get around Whitby. It was modern, spacious and well laid out. Negative: It was a bit limited with some of the basics. Only 2 tea spoons and 3 mugs which means that bit more washing up or the dishwasher on for only a few things. It could have done with a deeper clear, some of the surfaces had a layer of dust on them so you could tell it hadn’t been done for a while. These are ‘even better if’ items and I would stop at the apartment again

It felt like a travel lodge rather than a holiday apartment. Positive: Location was good. Apartment finished to a high standard. Negative: Felt unwelcoming, the apartment felt soleless. The facilities appeared stingy ie 2 x teaspoons, 3 x mugs, 5 x dish washer tablets, very poor selection of utensils and pans. The hob was ridiculously hard to work, we had to Google the instructions. Alot of thought has been put into the image of the apartment and not enough thought regarding the guests overall holiday experience.

Great location, superb facilities, comfortable stay, would definitely book again and recommend Positive: Perfect location, easy to get to everywhere we wanted. Gorgeous property, beautifully decorated and clean, had all we needed. Negative: No parking but could stop and unload then park elsewhere. Bar underneath could be heard but not late. Early deliveries were noisy but we're early risers. Could have done with a fan. Patio set would be better as metal or plastic so we could clean it down after visiting seagulls.

Nice apartment in central Whitby but poor housekeeping Positive: Comfortable spacious dog friendly apartment with parking close by. No need to move the car all through the stay as lots to do in Whitby. Very central position. Negative: Outdoor seating area dirty and furniture in a poor state. Kitchen and bathroom clean but the place hadn’t been dusted. Minimal crockery and cutlery and no washing up liquid/sponge, good to have dishwasher but don’t want to put it on for two cups.

A great place to experience the amazing town of Whitby. Positive: Lovely spacious apartment in the heart of Whitby. It was well appointed and had views of Whitby from the windows at the entry. Negative: It was a bit difficult working out how to open the door to the apartment. Some help would have been useful in the property’s instructions.

Positive: Nice location. Modern kitchen and bathroom. Good space. Negative: Should have been cleaner. Crumbs on floor. Cobwebs in places. Not enough glasses. One wine glass. Very stingy on toiletries. Enough for one night only. Customer service replied quickly but in fact did nothing to rectify the situation. For example they said they would replace the glass but didn't do it for our stay. Also didn't send a cleaner. Seemed like platitudes rather than actions. Also they claimed their green credentials but no recycling for guests. Also, no external garbage meant that the bin started to smell after 3-4 days.

Negative: Could do with curtains in the bedroom to keep the street lights and early morning light out

Really enjoyed my stay, booked again for next year. Think owner needs to take a look at reviews as it’s the same issues Positive: Great location for us, nice modern apartment. Clean Negative: Unfortunately I couldn’t get job to work, I think a welcome pack would have been nice. The entrance needs freshening up swept and table chairs in garden area needs painted or stained. Unfortunately first impressions wasn’t great but inside the apartment was beautiful

Heerlijk verblijf Positive: Mooi appartement (Sea Salt) op een prima locatie midden in Whitby. Mooi raam met zicht op het stadje. Alles ziet er goed verzorgd uit, prima bed en badkamer. Negative: 2 kleine puntjes: - er is geen kledingkast alleen een rek en daar is slechts 1 kledinghanger voor beschikbaar. - iets meer bestek is prettig (zeker als je de afwasmachine gebruikt).

Wonderful Whitby Positive: Was comfortable and central. Negative: No clothes hangers,all furniture very very dusty . Outside terrace area needs a really good sweep and a wash. Terrace wooden furniture couldn't be used as dirty.A suggestion would be to replace with rattan that can be cleaned.

Pleasant and good location. Positive: This was our 3rd stay. We like how central it is to everything. Its a bright apartment with a comfy bed and nice bathroom. Negative: Its starting to feel a little paired down for the price point. No coffee machine/free pods, no little welcome pack. The free things are rather tight tbh ie 2 sachets of sugar and 2 sachets of milk for 3 nights? I realise its self catering but a lot of other places are far more generous. The windows needed a good clean.

Negative: Although the property stated it was dog friendly, it had ( approx 16) external metal stairs with holes which proved to be very difficult for my dog to manage. Her paws and claws getting caught.

4 night chilled stay Positive: What a lovely find the Sea Salt apartment is, it spotlessly clean, right in the middle of Whitby, it's home from home and everything you need. There are stairs to get up to the apartment but we were ok with this and knew before we stayed. Its a great view of the town from the window. Bed was really comfy, plenty of sockets for charging things. Shower was spot on too. Really loved staying here, although we didn't meet the host Charlie the communication was brilliant 👏 and we had no problem with this at all. parking overnight is a 10 min walk from the apartment at £13 for 24 hours. This was West Cliff Carpark. Negative: Nothing to dislike.

A lovely stay in a lovely well kept property. Positive: Central location in Whitby, close to many facilities. Negative: There is no parking (but that can’t be helped), some of the glass bannisters hadn’t been cleaned, but didn’t affect our stay at all! Can be noisy from pubs (again didn’t affect us, we were aware when booking)

Highly recommended, would be my first choice if available. Positive: The location was in the centre of Whitby, very close to where we wanted to be. Parking is an issue, and access was limited. Having said that, the apartment was great, clean, spacious and with good quality fittings, a very comfy bed and lots of hot water. Could do with more cutlery and a larger saucepan, as we like to cook our own food. Negative: The door from the street was awkward because the wind was strong, and it was difficult to keep it open so we could move our bags. There are two short flights of metal stairs to the apartment door, which may be difficult for someone with mobility issues. I managed to find free street parking nearby, but I think I was very lucky. Whitby can get very busy.

A nice stay Positive: The property was well presented, really nice decor and felt very cosy. Negative: Not enough towels, only one each which isn’t ideal when you need to wash your hair. There was only 5/6 teabags between 2 of us for a two night stay and when asking if anymore could be provided, we were told you only get a starter pack included but there was lots of coffee/sugar. On the entrance to the apartment outside, there was a lot of bird poo which can’t be helped. It was also quite loud with people outside.

Positive: The apartment was in a central location. It was well presented and very clean. Negative: Struggled slightly with the key box.

Positive: The property was super clean and comfortable. It has a perfect location right in the centre close to the Abbey, the train station and the beach. It was quiet and we found everything we needed. The staff were super helpful and kept in touch the whole time providing all necessary information. We would definitely come back!

Great apartment for visiting Whitby and surrounding areas. Positive: Location was great. It was clean and comfortable and modern. Negative: Minor things like no hangers on the clothes rail. Also only a small j-cloth for kitchen use. The kitchen could have been better equipped.

A little gem of a place Positive: Communication from Charlie, the Agent. Cleanliness, location and the bed is so comfortable. Negative: No shelf in the shower for products, & no shelf in the bathroom for products.

Sea Salt Apartment Positive: Perfect. Situated right in the centre of Whitby, the apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished and has everything you need. Communication with Charlie and Rhys was excellent, self check in was easy. No negatives whatsoever, I would 100% book this apartment again.

Overall, a good stay in a great location, but a few improvements would make it excellent. Positive: The apartments are in a fantastic location—perfect for exploring the town centre and the West Cliff. They’re furnished to a modern standard and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were disappointed to find hair in the bedding on arrival, and some areas clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a while. It didn’t ruin our stay, but it was a letdown. Negative: The bedroom is quite bright at night due to street lighting, so an eye mask is a good idea. We suggested blackout blinds to the hosts, and noticed other guests have made the same recommendation. We received a lot of emails before our stay, mostly about upgrades and early/late check-out options. Condensing these into one or two emails would be much better. The volume of pre-arrival emails didn’t match the responsiveness when we raised concerns after arrival.

Negative: Not clear about parking but this could be a booking.com problem. We were under the impression that parking was included but had to park nearby. Had to quickly get our luggage etc out of the car then go and find a parking space.

Outside area not suitable to sit out and misleading from advert. Dirty chair and table and dirty ashtray on table. Not too clean outside. FANTASTIC STAY Positive: Excellent location beautiful apartment would 100% stay here again. Park in cliff street car park 2 minute walk. 2 great pubs with live singers on. Negative: Black out blinds would be good as the sun shines through first thing so no late mornings, and the balcony needed a clean but that is being really picky.

Beautiful place to stay Positive: The apartment was absolutely beautiful very clean and loved the location a beautiful 2 minute walk to the harbour and beach ⛱️ with some lovely food shops and other nice shops on the way. Whitby has stolen my heart ❤️ Negative: Nothing to not like. I would suggest putting a fan in the apartment has it was very hot 🔥 days .

Lovely private place in a great location Positive: Loved the property, loved the big rooms and private feel, bed was super comfy, fittings were high quality not flimsy stuff you usually get in apartment stays. Central location with private outside area, windows were hefty enough to block out noise when closed so that didn't bother us at all with the seagulls and street noise, but blinds do let a lot of light in. We didn't cook but seemed like there was plenty of cutlery etc. Negative: For a weekend was fine but the sofa is quite small and not really a cosy environment for getting comfy if you want to spend time at the apartment at night. Only one toilet roll and very little coffee/tea sachets. Check in at 4pm is quite late, and early check in fees are too high in my opinion. These are small things though and didn't affect our overall stay

A lovely apartment! Positive: The apartment was very modern, clean, with a comfortable bed and well equipped. Negative: The centre of Whitby is busy so plan ahead for parking as there's not much parking nearby. If you're a light sleeper or not used to busy areas, take ear plugs with you to help take the edge off it. Don't let this put you off as it's a really nice place, we certainly will be returning!
