Spent two nights here with our dog. Perfect location for the beach and the town was nice. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. Beds were comfy as were the sofa and chair. The view was incredible. We would definitely stay there again.

Really lovely. Positive: Beautiful views. Very comfy apartment. Negative: Someone else had a noisy dog on the second night.

Brilliant - we will definitely be back for a weekend and Sunday walk on the beach. Positive: Fantastic location, very well equipped, dog friendly, clean and spacious for our family of 4. Super views over the sea and beach. Really nicely decorated, it had a boutique hotel feel to it. The kitchen open space was great, lovely comfy beds and bath towels. We would definitely recommend and we will definitely stay again! Negative: The only minor niggles were that there was no hand soap in the bathroom (although there was some in the kitchen) and there wasn't any washing up liquid. Although there was a dishwasher, we ran out of mugs as we had quite a few cups of teas throughout the stay and would have preferred to have been able to wash them, rather than only have the option of the dishwasher. An extra hand soap (1 for kitchen and 1 for bathroom) and washing up liquid would have been good.

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend. The apartment is light, airy, clean and modern. It has everything you need and the views are truely beautiful. My children and I loved sitting for breakfast watching the surfers and the world go by. 5 STARS!

We had a great stay at sandy cove. Couldn’t fault the property and the views from the apartment are great and exactly as described. We will defiantly be returning in the future as the full family loved it.

Sandy Cove in Saltburn is a great place for a short break. I stayed there for 3 nights with my partner and her Cockapoo dog. The appartment is in an ideal position being close to the sea and the centre of town. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk. There's the Cleaveland way and miles of beach for those who like walks. I highly recommend a stay at Sandy Cove in Saltburn

Excellent sea front property, amazing views. Easy parking, beach, train station and amenities all within a 5 minutes walk.

Positive: Been here before love the property we cannot fault it very spacious apt lovely view right across marine parade. Negative: The only thing that's not good is parking we got lucky right outside property but all across the front it's 4 hr parking unless you have a permit which according to the traffic wardens that should be provided by the property owners they should have permits for each apt

Fantastic apartment with great views across the seafront. Great location. Plenty of space with excellent facilities including a really good shower. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. It’s a lovely flat with great views over the coastline and of the cliffs. A really short walk to the town centre

We have stayed her a few times now, brilliant location with amazing views. Comfortable flat but getting tired. In need of some tlc, also cleaning standards were low and not basic amenities provided such as toilet roll, washing up liquid or hand soap. Host was quick to respond but items didn’t arrive until day before we left. Overall a good stay but little things let it down.

Festival stay Positive: This is the 3rd year that we have stayed in this clean and comfortable apartment. We would thoroughly recommend it. Very convenient location for our visit to the Saltburn Folk Festival. Owners always reply promptly to any queries. Negative: Quite a lot of stairs, which was not an issue for us but might be a problem to anyone with mobility issues.

5* location but desperately needs TLC & deep clean. Positive: Very comfy mattress, pillows & duvets. Impeccable location - couldn’t be better! Free on street parking where available Negative: Upon arrival we were met with: Dishwasher that had dirty pots A stained wet rag (presumably the tea towel left on the side) Crusty hob that hadn’t been cleaned Crumbs all over the living room rug. Black mouldy bath seal No tea towels or recycling facilities Peeling paint in the master bedroom. Damp? Stained bed frame & living room pillows Ironing board but no iron that I could find? Outside windows were very dirty, genuinely blocked the amazing sea view Very dusty including all the bedroom drawers and blinds. Only 2 hangers in the master bedroom wardrobe Overall the property wasn’t cleaned to a high enough standard and could really benefit from a deep clean.

Amazing location, free parking on single yellows outside property. Fantastic views from the front window. Easy to find & check in. We were kept awake with a low battery fire alarm on the panel downstairs which we were told engineering came to fix however same fault on the panel when we returned later that day. Dishwasher flooded & didn’t work during the stay although reported. All that said it was a quiet, spacious break, we look forward to staying again.

We had been to saltburn before but staying where u have a view of the sea makes a big difference , the apartment view was amazing , walking distance to everything you need whilest your there The beds were so comfy and apartment very spacious Just a couple of things could have helped during our stay No oven gloves and no hand towel in the bathroom Also we reported the dishwasher wasn’t working when we arrived but was never fixed We would return as the weekend was so hot and sunny And would recommend to anybody to stay here Good value for money

As the property was only managed by Host & Stay when our dishwasher had failed they had to sort authority from the owner to replace it. The battery had also gone on the heat sensor, the support team asked me to replace, obviously they had no idea of the property (ceilings were 3m and I am only 1.5m!). Luckily the maintenance guy who came to luck at the dishwasher was able to replace for us with the aid of a tall set of steps!! I waited in all day on Wednesday to hear about the dishwasher being replaced only to be told at 4pm that it wouldn’t be done. I really hope it has been sorted for the next guests! I was told to leave the keys for the maintenance team to come in, however this wasn’t an option for reasons I don’t want to disclose. Lovely property but I felt let down my the Home & Stay team who filled our complaints form for us, surely that should be up to me to do!

This was the second time that we had stayed at Sandy Cove in Saltburn. The location is excellent and is only a 5 minute walk to the town centre. The beach is also only a few minutes walk away. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to cater for all tastes. The appartment is very spacious, clean and light. Can't fault the place and will most likely return for another stay in the future.

Positive: Location is the best, overlooking the pier, close to everything! The interior is super modern with comfy beds. Negative: The shower screen fell off and it wasn't very clean.

A great place to stay for location, views and comfort. Positive: Views and location are perfect! It is very clean and comfortable and nicely done out. We had a fabulous stay. We stay here frequently as we love it. Negative: The King Size mattress wasn’t great as it was dipping in the middle. There were only 2 tea spoons.

Fabulous break in a lovely location! Positive: The location was amazing, the accommodation was good, well equipped and very comfortable. Negative: I would honestly stay here again but it was lacking some personal touches. The apartment felt cold and impersonal. The cleaning products were limited which doesn’t encourage or help guests leave the property to the best standard? One dishwasher tablet for 3 days? A spoonful of washing up liquid? No recycling bin? Help guests to help you?

We had a lovely stay here. Spacious, bright and comfortable with a gorgeous view. perfect location and very clean. A little noisy at times as the back of the property is a shortcut path between 2 pubs but only in the larger room and no fault to the owner. Thanks for a lovely stay, we would love to return again!

Great location just near the beach.

We've used Host and Stay for the past few years for our escape to the coast and have always had a great experience. The properties are well equipped, modern and very clean. This time we stayed in Sandy Cove in Saltburn and the location was perfect and the views were amazing. I think this may have been our favourite spot so far!

Second time we’ve used this company to stay in Saltburn and had a lovely stay. There was a slight hiccup at the start but once we contacted them via phone and message they were able to sort it out the same day. Flats are always lovely and done to a high finish and it had everything you would possibly need right there on the seafront.

We had a fantastic couple of nights in Saltburn by the Sea. The accommodation was perfect. Amazing views, comfortable bed and excellent facilities. We have been recommending it to all our friends.

Nice flat in a brilliant location to explore Saltburn. Free parking right outside for our stay made everything even easier. So much to explore locally and even a little further afield.

Great stay as always just a couple of minor issues this time. Normally exceptional experience. Positive: Seaview and close location to the beach Negative: Dishwasher was out of action. Dirty towel left on dining room chair. Reported sink leaking from what appeared to be the waste pipe possibly from when the dishwasher had been looked at. Was advised that maintenance would potentially visit during our stay but did not. We used the left dirty towel to soak up any further leakage.

Great place and communication, the company is well organised, the £30 early check in fee is a bit much, if the place is ready and they should reconsider this as the personal touch is lost. But would defo stay again. Thanks for a great weekend

A complete and utter disgrace. Regrettably, I had an awful experience with Host & Stay. Due to a family emergency, on the 23rd Dec I had to book last minute accommodation for over Christmas (24th-27th Dec). I was informed that the lockbox code would be sent to me the day before check in, however it was not sent. Upon arriving to check in on Christmas Eve, it had still not arrived. I rang 6 times, left voicemails, messaged on Airbnb and emailed without any response. I got in touch with Airbnb, however they were unable to help me. As a result, we were left without any accommodation on Christmas Eve/day. To make matters worse, the lockbox code was sent via an automated email at 6.15 on Christmas Day at which point our booking was CANCELLED without contacting us first with absolutely no concern given to our accommodation arrangements for the rest of the stay. I have repeatedly received automated stock emails. The one staff member I spoke to was abroad and unable to solve any issues.

Great stay in a fab location. Positive: Great location. Comfortable with well stocked kitchen etc. Negative: There were a few areas that maybe hadn't seen a duster for a while. One of the blind pelmets had fallen off and was laying next to the wall. Carpet in communal stairway needed fixing.

Positive: The property was brilliant, very very clean and nicely furnished. Wonderful views over the sea but handy for town. Would definitely visit again and recommend to others Negative: Only issue was the front door of multiple occupancy building. Don't know whether the lock was faulty or whether other guests didn't know about deadlock but we were locked out twice and other guests also a couple of times. It made us a bit nervous about going out and whether we would be able to get back in. Didn't detract from a lovely stay though

Go to short seaside break Positive: This is a beautiful property with gorgeous views of wide stretches of golden sand, tranquil and beautiful Negative: There isn’t anything I didn’t like. Host and Stay are superb!

Positive: Beautiful apartment and the best view in Saltburn! Negative: The only thing was there wasn't enough forks so had to use spoons for our fish and chips . Plus some peeling paint work. Apart from that it was splendid!

brilliant Positive: SUPERB location! brilliant sea views! lovely style, super comfy beds and extremely well equipped excellent communications from Host & Stay ( arrival instructions etc- very impressed) Negative: drains smell really bad- needs attention- I note previous reviewers have commented bathroom is starting to look tired what really lets this property down in outside. it’s unbelievable that inside is cleaned beautifully ready for the guests and is such a high spec but outside is full of rubbish- pizza boxes, papers, all letters, overgrown mess! our first impressions we were a little horrified , but when we arrived at our apartment we could relax. baffles me that this is not sorted? it’s really letting down a very beautiful location and apartment

Close to shops and amenities Negative: Lounge seating wasn't that comfortable, we had to buy our own dish cloths as the sponge scourer were not adequate. We had the maintenance man in trying to unblock the drain for more than an hour whilst we were trying to prepare dinner

A nice apartment in a great location. Despite a few minor issues we would stay here again. Positive: It has been done out to a generally high standard. The views straight out over the sea were great. It’s a really good size & a very good location. A couple of minor things let it down. The bath surround was a bit of a botched MDF job with some dubious sealing. The free standing toilet roll holder could not have been more wobbly without falling over. It’s a shame because it’s otherwise a good standard. Negative: It could have been cleaner. There were food crumbs around the dining table & near the sofa. The lounge floor was generally a bit gritty. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher! The bedside tables had not been wiped down. There were sticky labels left on one of them. The back of someone’s earring was left on top of the dressing table, the top of which also needed a good wipe down.

Positive: The apartment was modern and beautiful with all the amenities you could need. The location overlooking the sea, pier and surfers was mesmerising in the morning sitting drinking coffee. The place was spotless and was perfect for our well earned rest. Saltburn is a great base for other trips out. The town is great with fantastic restaurants and bars. We were so relaxed after long walks that we were asleep early. That's a good sign of a great holiday. Negative: Nothing. It was perfect in every way.

Negative: it’s extremely noisy, you can hear every noise from above. it needs work, paint/plaster falling off the wall above dining table while eating. drawer front in large bedroom falls off, wardrobe very flimsy.

Nice place, would stay again, just a little TLC needed Positive: Lovely place, great location, amazing water pressure in the shower. Negative: The finish of most of the accommodation is wonderful, but it needed some TLC is a couple of places. Cold tap had hot water coming out and vice versa. Plaster peeling off the ceiling falling on to the table. TV didn't work properly due to something with the virgin media box.

Loved it!! Apartment was perfect! Wish we had gone for longer would definitely love to stay again. Positive: Location was great! Quiet, scenic but close enough to walk to the shops or the beach. Apartment was really lovely spacious modern and clean had everything you needed. The view was amazing.
