We had a lovely stay at Salty Place for a long weekend. The house was really well furnished and clean. There was plenty of space for all 8 of us … comfy beds and furniture. We ate in most evenings and the kitchen was well quipped for that. The courtyard felt like it needed a bit of love, but it was chilly during our stay to be out there, but for summer guests perhaps a bit of TLC. We had a couple of issues during our stay which Host & Stay were very attentive with, which was appreciated. All in all a great stay and we would love to come back to stay in the future.

Had a bad experience with host and stay from the start. We originally booked another property in Feb to be sent a txt message 5 wks before we where going to be told that the property was no longer part of the host and stay portfolio which didn't leave us long to get another property for 9 of us. After arriving at our new property, while i was out my son called to say there was a man at the door saying he had also booked the property. We rushed back for him to show me the same booking. Luckily while he was on the phone with air b&b they told him that they had to honour our booking as we where there first. Not a good start. The bedrooms in the loft had black hair on them as or a dog had been in there, plus a large stain on the bedding. We called up for them changing in which they did come out quickly. I would say the house hadn't been cleaned very well as there was dog hairs on the rug and wooden floors. Shame really as there was nothing wrong with the property and location spot on.

Perfect stay for a large family with plenty to do

Great property which would have been perfect if the issues raised at the beginning of our stay had b Positive: Perfect location near the beach. Clean and tidy with good facilities. Negative: The light to the WC was broken. We reported it at the beginning of our stay, and the host said they would come out to fix it. This did not happen. This meant we could not use the downstairs toilet for the duration of our stay. With small children this is not ideal. A full rubbish bag was left by previous tenants in the yard. We reported this but it was never removed. We took it out with our rubbish. This is not what we would expect for the price we paid.

We had a really lovely stay in this Victorian Terrace in Saltburn! Host and Stay were great at staying in touch and also gave us an early check in as we had little ones with us who needed to nap… Great amenities with the beach just at the end of the street! Comfortable bedrooms and homely decor made our trip a great getaway for an our family. The only thing I can comment negatively on is the outside space at the back. So much more can be made of it as totally private and gets good sun! At present it’s just a bit of an unloved yard, but it’s so easily remedied 😃 Thank you for a great stay!

Positive: Beautiful property

Great house, nicely presented, comfortable, perfect for a family and friends holiday to spend time indoors, and in a great location to enjoy everything Saltburn has to offer. Easy access to the beach, pool, coastal routes, shops and eating out. Would happily re-book! As other reviewers have said the yard could look better but it’s a really useful safe outdoor space, the large sliding doors are lovely. Minor things which would be helpful for future guests are: provide hand towels and soap for the downstairs loo, provide more than 1 tea-towel and oven gloves and one extra bigger pan for cooking, also nonslip shower mats. Other than that the house was really well equipped. Thank you for letting us stay, we had a great week.
