Absolutely stunning seafront apartment - recently renovated with high quality furnishings. We have stayed in many Airbnb's all over the country & this is by far the nicest! And it was dog friendly too! Easy access to the beach (via loads of steps or the funicular) and plenty of bars & places to eat. Would definitely stay here again!
Amazing location, right on the see front with amazing views of the sea that the pictures don’t do justice! If you can get up and watch a sunrise; you won’t regret it. Modern, spacious and clean throughout with lovely detail and decor without being cluttered at all. Nice to have a coffee machine. Extra bits like salt and pepper, tea and coffee etc (basic pantry style stuff that you don’t think to pack/buy when staying away) would have been fab. Perhaps they usually do but we had one sachet of coffee and one tea bag! Free parking right outside the as great, we parked up and then didn’t need the car again until check out. Lush that dogs are allowed in such a modern, lovely space. Contact from the host felt quite incessant but perhaps that’s as I’m a low key guest who can manage from one email with all info in and not daily reminders for everything. Would 100% stay here again and/or book with host and stay. Thank you!
A lovely short break Positive: The location was fabulous! Sea views are always a bonus for me. Great windows to enjoy the view. Negative: We heard a lot of noise from apartments in the same building. Someone had a very yappy dog, which set off our dog. We could also hear their washing machine.
Firstly the actual apartment was stunning with a perfect location but that's where the good review ends. The apartment was unclean with thick layers of dust throughout, it clearly only gets a a surface clean likely taking a matter of minutes between guests. The bathroom mirror was dirty along with the tap. On the throw in the bedroom was a suspicious looking stain, this clearly doesn't get washed between guests( or checked). On the first night I showered and later on during our first evening we then had a maintenance man call twice unexpected at 2030-2045 to notify that the shower was leaking and that we could not use the shower again. My partner had not showered at this point. We were informed we could not shower in the morning and would need to be about in the morning for the shower to be fixed. Disturbed on the first night and unable to shower and again the following morning. I have tried to raise this and communicate this with host and stay and 16 days later have had no contact
We came for a 4-day get away an wanted to be near the seaside. Charlie's apartment right above the beach was absolutely perfect. The living space (one room kitchen, living and ding) was perfect size for the two of us and our 2 dogs. The kitchen had everything we needed for breakfasts in the morning and there were enough amazing restaurants and pubs nearby for a noon time pint and/or an evening meal. The Ship Inn was a perfect stop for a pint and the Seaview restaurant has amazing local seafood that did not disappoint. The apartment bedroom had plenty of storage and the bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom/shower was also very nice but the absolute best part of staying here was the view and closeness to the beach. We spent a large amount of our 4 days on the beach with the dogs. We walked along the beach as far as Marske and while the tide was out, over to Hunt Cliff exploring rock pools and searching for fossils. A 10 out of 10 for the location, the apartment and the host!
Nice apartment for 2 in a good location Positive: The location was great, it was easy to park and the bed was comfy. Good communication from the hosts. We would stay again. Negative: Couldn’t get live TV as couldn’t get the main channels to work due to a poor signal. Don’t like having to pay the extra insurance premium when using Host & Stay properties.
Enjoyed a fabulous weekend at this quality apartment. Perfect for 2. Great location and very comfortable. A stone’s throw from beautiful Saltburn beach with restaurants, shops and pubs easily accessible. Would thoroughly recommend.

Me & my partner had a lovely stay here and would definitely come back! A 5 minute walk down the steps to the beautiful beach with great restaurants and pubs surrounding. The free parking was a bonus! The apartment itself was spotless and very cosy and peaceful :) A nice, relaxing couples getaway in a great location, 10/10.
FANTASTIC ACCOMODATION BUT SPOILT VIEW AND CERTAIN OTHER THINGS SPOILT IT. Positive: LOCATION WAS SUPERB , ON THE CLIFFS ( OVERLOOKING THE SEA) . ON FINALLY GETTING INTO THE FLAT IT HAD BEEN BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED OUT WITH CHRISTMAS DECOR AND A LARGE TREE AND WAS SPOTLOUSLY CLEAN . KITCHEN UNITS WERE SPACIOUS AND HUGE LOUNGE WITH 55" SMART SONY TV. (WHICH HAD NET FLIX AND AMAZON AS WELL AS BBCI PLAYER ETC WHICH WAS VERY GOOD INDEED. BATHROOM WAS WELL LAID OUT WITH EXCELLENT SHOWER UNIT . LOVELY LARGE BEDROOM AND VERY COMFORTABLE BEDS AS WELL AS PLENTY OF WARDROBE AND DRAWERS. SALTY BAY FLAT IS IDEAL FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE MOBILITY PROBLEMS AS IT IS GROUND FLOOR (NOT THE BASEMENT OR ONES ABOVE) ALTHOUGH THERE ARE A FEW STEPS TO GET UP TO THE MAIN ENTRANCE. Negative: THESE ARE THE REASONS I DID NOT GIVE SALTY BAY A FULL 5 STAR RATING WHICH IS UNFORTUNATE AS THE FLAT ITSELF IS EXCELLENT............ AFTER A 3 HOUR CAR JOURNEY ALL YOU WANT TO DO IS GET IN TO YOUR ACCOMODATION AND SETTTLE DOWN. NOT SO! KEY CODE BOX WAS OBVIOUSLY PAST ITS SELL BUY DATE AND WAS RIDICULOUSLY AWKWARD TO GET INTO AND JUST WOULDNT WORK EVEN AFTER 15 MINUTES OF TRYING DOING THE EXACT CODES GIVEN. VERY FRUSTRATING AND AGGRAVATING ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS RAINING AND COLD! EVENTUALLY TOOK 20 MINUTES ...DEFINETELY NEEDS REPLACING WITH NEW UNIT. THEN, AFTER FINALLY ENTERING THE FLAT AND BEING WOWED BY THE DECOR AND FACILITIES OFFERED TO MINE AND MY WIFES HORROR THE BEAUTIFUL BAY WINDOW LOOKING OUT TO SEA (AS IN BOOKING.COM PHOTOS ) WAS CRISS CROSSED OVER WITH SCAFFOLDING (WHICH IN FAIRNESS WE HADNT NOTICED THE OUTSIDE DUE TO THE DARK AND TRYING TO GET IN!) AND COME THE MORNING INSTEAD OF A WONDERFUL VIEW OF THE SEA WE HAD STEEL NOUGHTS AND CROSSES TO LOOK AT !!! WE WERE NOT INFORMED THAT THERE WAS WORK IN PROGRESS TO THE BUILDING ON THE EXTERNAL SIDE AND IN FACT HAD WE KNOWN THIS WOULD HAVE CERTAINLY LOOKED FOR OTHE ACCOMODATION. ALSO....IF YOU ARE GOING AT A BUSY TIME OF THE YEAR DO NOT GO BY THE DESCRIPTION HOST AND STAY GIVES OF PARKING.....YES IT IS FREE BUT NO, NOT GUARANTEED, AS ITS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AT NO CHARGE AND THERE IS RELATIVELY A SMALL AMOUNT OF ON ROAD PARKING. WE WERE VERY LUCKY AS WE MANAGED TO PARK RIGHT OUTSIDE AND ONLY USED THE CAR ONCE . OTHERWISE PARKING IS WAY AWAY DOWN THE ROAD. SALTBURN IS A LOVELY PLACE AND VERY POPULAR AT ALL TIMES OF THE YEAR SO THIS DOES APPLY WHAT I HAVE SAID. REALISTICALLY A PERMIT SHOULD BE ARRANGED BY HOST AND STAY. FINALLY THE NIGHT BEFORE WE WERE GOING TO LEAVE THE FLAT ABOVE HAD LEFT AND SURPRISINGLY AT AROUND 8PM THERE WERE LARGE NOISES AND BANGING AND HOOVER NOISES WHICH SUGGESTED THAT THE FLAT WAS BEING PREPARED FOR THE NEXT PEOPLE THE FOLLOWING DAY. THIS OF COURSE SHOULD NOT OCCUR

Perfect for a short break, especially if you like walking and cafes. Positive: Very spacious period flat with great views. Obviously it’s been modernised recently. Location was perfect. Negative: Flimsy curtains in bedroom - please fit some decent ones that block out light!
Beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed sitting at the table looking out to sea, felt very homely. The bed was super comfortable too providing us with restful nights.

This is a great place to stay, the beach is right across the road, there is plenty of free parking outside and is only a two minute walk to lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and had everything you need. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Saltburn by the sea.

The apartment is well appointed and is handy for the beach down the tramway which goes up and down the steep incline which saves time walking down the many steps. The fare is only £2 per trip. The apartment is spacious and the lounge is large with high ceilings and good views out to sea.

Perfect location Positive: It's gorgeous. Has pretty much everything you'd want, the view from the living room window is incredible and you're as close to the seafront as you can get. Very little noise from people in the above apartments. Negative: Could've done with a fan being provided, struggled to sleep the day it was ~30°, but was fine the other two nights. Probably won't bother you outside of heatwaves.
We love saltburn and it was lovely to have such a great view of the sea, in this lovely fist. Happy to stay there again, highly recommended
Lovely place and stay in Saltburn, so can recommend it - looks better in person than the photos, so overall, a positive experience for the week. Sadly, the management company was disappointing. On the day of check-in, we phoned and politely asked whether there's any possibility of an earlier check-in (2pm rather than 4pm) if the place was ready, or just to drop bags off; something most AirBnB owners are happy to do if it doesn't cause problems with cleaning schedules. In this instance we were greeted with a robust 'you have to pay £30 for anything more than 1hr earlier as you'll have use of the facilities for longer and that's our policy' . Not a great first impression - it's not like you're benefitting from a hotel's spa access! It was mainly clean, but there was considerable dust in some of the clothes drawers which needed wiping out before use and some surfaces had been missed, which is not untypical of AirBNBs, but it could use a deep clean. Coffee machine issue not addressed.

Great location, great views. The apartment was nice, modern and clean. The front door Yale lock was awkward to open. The kitchen tap was broken but still working (so no problem). No dishwasher tablets left. Overall really good though and I’d definitely stay there again.
Clean comfortable stay at the seaside. Positive: Superb location in a lovely seaside town. Spacious, well furnished rooms. Decent storage and coat hooks. Glorious Seaview and plenty of pubs and restaurants within easy walk. Negative: Shortage of towels. We had to buy hand towels from nearby Sainsbury (and dishwasher tabs)
Great location but a few problems Positive: Great location, lovely views, free parking, comfortable property, large comfortable bed Negative: We had a few problems during our two night stay. The boiler stopped working, so we didn’t have hot water for one day. The shower drain was blocked (and very smelly). The kitchen tap still had a constant drip (even though this was reported by another visitor several months ago). The coffee machine didn’t work as the wrong sized coffee pods were supplied.
We had a lovely stay, shame about the tap! Positive: The sea view, excellent facilities,plenty of everything in the kitchen. The bed was soooo comfortable. Negative: The constantly dripping kitchen tap!
Apartment in a great position for sea views Positive: The views were fantastic and the apartment had a brilliant shower Negative: Cleanliness. When we got in touch with Host and Stay they re-cleaned the apartment the following day. There were also a couple of issues which couldnt be rectified while were there but this maybe because it is the owners responsibility to rectifiy. i.e no plug in sink. I did find Host and Stay difficult to contact as the number given only goes to a person who just passes messages along to other people but once they were aware of our issues they acted quickly to put the issues right. However, this is the second time we have used Host and Stay and the first time was no issues. So, would I use this organisation again? Yes, I would, basically let down by a cleaner.

This was a stylish, spacious and comfortable apartment in a fantastic location right on the seafront. Parking available within a short distance and sometimes right outside, depending on time of day. Well equipped kitchen.
Great apartment, great location, great views! The main door Yale lock requires attention as it’s not easy to open (you have to really pull the door and turn the key to the right). The apartment door also takes some closing and may need adjusting. I read a few reviews before booking about banging and heard this fairly loudly at 2.30am (no idea what it was but didn’t sound like central heating for example). The apartment was nice and clean, shower was great and we had everything we needed.
Great place
We had a wonderful couple of days. The only slight issue was being woken at 5am by loud banging which sounded like it was the door, then there was shouting. It was only after we went out that morning we realised that there was a care home next door and one of the residents must have been having an episode. The second night was completely peaceful. Once we realised what the noise was it wasn’t an issue and the location and the flat were just perfect we would book again.

Comfortable, stylish and well equipped property in a beautiful and accessible location. Positive: The location was perfect- beautiful views, beach and pier and great eateries very accessible. Shops close by and loads of free parking. Communication with host was speedy, friendly and helpful. Negative: The waiver and deposit came as a surprise and was a bit annoying to have to complete separately. I chose Booking.com over Air BnB to avoid hidden costs. Maybe it could all be included in the initial booking so client can book then forget about it until the trip arrives. However, it was not a big problem and didn’t spoil anything!
We really enjoyed our stay, loved Saltburn and apartment. Loved the view over the sea. Great meal out at night. Would lo Positive: Great position, in relationship to sea and town centre. Wonderful large rooms. Bed very comfortable. Great little touches of tea, coffee, milk, washing up and dishwashing tablets. Every thing thought of . Negative: Didn’t like the damage waiver fee with admin costs so either an extra £10 or £25 pounds. The app won’t let me opt for the £10 admin fee. Only option was to pay the £25 or I wouldn’t get key code.

Really nice flat, high quality and super clean. Lovely location with amazing views. Managed to spot dolphins from the dining table! Great idea having the online guidebook too. Only small negative was the lack of noiseproofing between floors.

Nice place Positive: Lovely views nicely set out. Negative: Issues with cleaning dusty in places. Shelf in fridge door was broken (reported) and had not been cleaned. Toilet roll holder was broken and dust in drawers in bedroom.

Stayed with Host & Stay 6 times before but I have to say the stay was okay this time.
Amazing location, right on the seafront. Parking very easy right outside the property. Only a few minutes walk to pubs, restaurants, supermarket, train station and beach. Lovely high ceilings in the property and very spacious.

The apartment is fantastic! Unfortunately there were a few issues in the apartment, damaged fridge door, broken shower tap, no internet, and bin store mess. Maintenance repaired the shower tap but was unable to connect the internet. Fortunately we had great weather so didn’t spend much time in there, it would have been very different if the weather had been bad only having the basic channels on tv. There was no follow up regarding this. In my opinion the three housekeeping issues should have been resolved prior to our arrival, unfortunately the internet is obviously a different issue.
Gorgeous location and a lovely property with great facilities. Positive: Sea views; high ceilings; comfortable bed; very clean and great facilities. Negative: Couldn’t get the WiFi working - although staff were very helpful in giving advice. Not too much of a problem though, as there was 4G and 5G in the area!
