Dale's place is in the perfect location for a stay in Canterbury. Within a couple of minutes you can walk to the main high street, enjoying all that Canterbury has to offer.\nThe house is easy to find and get into with a lock box. My only complaint is that parking can be difficult because there are only a couple of roads that your permit covers. That means you might not be able to park on the road the house is on and we unfortunately misunderstood where we could park and got a parking notice for parking in the residents car park around the corner on Boxing day evening. You are not allowed to park in any of those car parks. \nOtherwise, the house met our needs as a family of three and a dog. The staircase is a little steep for little ones with gaps in it, so you have to be careful around that. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook a lot of a Christmas dinner in there. \nOverall we had a good stay! Thank you.

A very convenient spot and perfectly comfortable for a family of four. Location perfect, close to the town centre and also within walking distance of both Canterbury train stations and the bus station. Parking was arranged with a simple phone call, very helpful. Thanks for a great stay.

This is a great place to stay for a quick dive into Canterbury. The house is about a 3 minute walk into town. The cathedral is about 7ish minute walk away. The proximity to town is great, but the street is noisy and parking is scarce. The beds were comfortable, sheets and bedding were clean, and the house is nicely/simply appointed. The kitchen has plenty of cooking implements to get a simple meal made, clean dishes to eat, and coffee/tea available. Bathrooms were clean, no mold as one review mentioned. We had two major drawbacks. For one, we arrived at 7pm and I enquired about the parking permit as all parking in town is permit only. We got two replies, but no parking permit. Luckily we caught the parking enforcer and he didn't ticket us. Second, it wasn't clear that the hot water shuts off at noon, so no hot water to bathe our kids before bed. After some reading, we tried to use the thermostat- dead batteries. Had to go buy some and wait 1.5 hour for the water to heat.

Ma famille et moi, nous avons passé un weekend dans ce logement facilement d'accès, avec une place de parking en face du logement. Le logement est accessible à pied à tous les sites de la ville, ce qui est un plus. Cependant... nous somme très déçu de logement... Poussières avec des toiles d'araignée au salon (étant allergique, c'est moyen..), une fenêtre qui ne se ferme pas au master bedroom. Eau chaude non dispo à l'étage tout le long du weekend. Ayant signalé le problème à plusieurs reprises par message, aucune solution m'a été proposé pour nous aider hormis de lire leur book qui annonce en rien le fonctionnement... Utiliser à 4 la seule petite salle de bain disponible au RDC était vraiment limite... Puis nous avons été réveillé vers 8h par un artisan qui devait passer faire des travaux dans la maison... Perso, ayant payé le prix, Nous sommes vraiment déçu....

The location of this property is exceptional, only a minutes walk from the city centre. Beds were relatively comfortable and the host was very communicative with a handy guide to the area. The property itself we felt were a bit like 'uni digs' and not as nice as the photos made out. The sofas, you sink into the back of, there is mould in the corners of the bathrooms, the upstairs toilet moves to one side and the shower upstairs you have to lift and shower yourself as the thing that holds it doesn't grip enough to hold the shower head if the power shower is on full. Accessing the key lock box is more difficult than ones we've used before, feels like its seized up slightly. This trip was for a uni students reunion (20 years ago), so we've stayed in a lot worse, but for what we paid, it did feel like a blast from the past and not value for money (I guess the proximity upped the price). Also, 10am check out is so early these days, I'd recommend that be reviewed.

We had a really nice stay and loved having a whole house to ourselves so close to Canterbury high street. I slept really well here and it was super clean.

A decent stay in a good location, but there were a few maintenance issues that let it down a bit. With a bit more attention to cleaning and maintenance, both the place and the overall service could be improved.

Es war wundervoll, im Herzen von Canterbury in der Sonne bei einem kühlen Getränk im Garten sitzen zu können. Parkplätze direkt vor der Haustür, allerdings sehr rar gesät.

Really bad, avoid this place Positive: Our kids slept well, and the location is very convenient, so a 2. Negative: There are many problems, and most of them are mentioned by others as well: Key problem is that the house is old and needs renovation (holes in the floor, broken window), plus it is dirty and needs proper cleaning (dusty throughout, everything greasy in the kitchen). Further problems are that the parking arrangement is unclear. The day before arrival we received an email stating we should inform the host about the license plate number, and that it could take two days before parking would be arranged. We've called a couple of times about it, and nobody could send us written proof that the virtual parking permit was arranged. We also called about the cleaning, and were promised that the morning after our first night cleaners would come. At 2 PM, nobody had come and we have left. So, bad place, and really bad communication with the host.

Good, but disappointing and a bit stressful. Positive: Good location, although parking was promised by virtual permit, and this did not happen. Thus, we received a penalty parking notice which was stressful. We had to move our car across town the second night, to avoid another penalty ticket. Company said would pay fine, I am still waiting for this reimbursement. Facilities in house were good. Negative: The cleaners were incompetent: three large bags of rubbish left outside in garden, and two used towels in second bedroom (although clean towels were left on beds).

Pleasant and comfortable Positive: Superb central Location that comes with Free Parking, the Size of the property and access to the Garden exceeded our expectations. It is very peaceful and quiet at just 5min of walk to High Street. Negative: Internet was breaking a lot and was limited. Neither the kitchen nor the kitchenware had been cleaned to an acceptable standard. We cleaned what we could ourselves, but some of items were uncleanable and would be better off replaced.

Needs some significant work - rotten floorboards dirty downstairs bathroom shower door lock dropping off bathroom radiator permanently on internet didn’t work - but it’s convenient and did the job

Very convenient but not clean Positive: The location was very convenient, especially with a small child. Negative: Unfortunately, on our arrival there was a musty smell, we found dust and cob webs everywhere. And also we had some issues with the radiator and the network. WiFi didn't work at all, TV was not working sometimes, we had to sleep with the turned on radiator during the hot weather ( it was resolved on the second day) .

We really appreciated the convenient location of the property. It is very close to the main attractions in Canterbury, and we were able to walk to many places easily. We would also like to thank the host/manager for being responsive and providing support when issues arose.

The house was good there is no issues with the home. Internet was not working and mobile network won't work in that entire town so wifi is must. But it got sorted on the same day. And before our arrival we did the virtual parking procedures yet we got a parking ticket fine. And from the day my stay started till i left i called the customer care atleast 3 times a day. House wise no issues Parking and internet was an issue. Still waiting for my fine amount to be reimbursed, hopefully i will get that.

Aanrader. Goede prijs kwaliteit. Het huis is goed afgewerkt binnen in een rustige straat maar toch vlak bij het centrum. Ideaal voor max 4 personen. Alle communicatie gebeurt normaal gezien via een agenschap maar indien echt nodig kan je rechtstreeks de uiterst behulpzame eigenaar contacteren. Wel opletten dat je op tijd je parkingpas aanvraagt (zoals je in de instructies meekrijgt), er is niet veel parkeermogelijkheid in de buurt anders en de parkeergarages rondom zijn relatief duur. Die parkeerpas maakt het mogelijk een gratis parkeerplaats in de buurt te zoeken.

Faible chauffage en bas. Pas d’eau dans la salle de douche du bas.

Location was great. Clear instructions on check in and checkout. Nice touch with the tea and milk being available on arrival. Lovely place to stay for a weekend.

Dealing with a third party rather than the host direct was frustrating, particularly over the parking permits, which we are still not sure were done. It took ages to work out how to use the TV as we couldn't find any instructions in the house or in the info we were sent. The property was perfectly situated for visiting Canterbury and everything was within walking distance which was great. For our long weekend visit it was ideal for us.

Great place to stay for Canterbury or local area. plenty of space and a short walk into town. Free on street parking once you call to get the permit which was straight forward. Would definitely stay again

Very neat, comfortable home. Pleasantly surprised with 3 sofas rather than the expected one. Had all amenities for cleaning (such as a hoover). Dale was a great host!

We really enjoyed our stay in Canterbury. The location is perfect and we felt it was described accurately. They organised parking for us on the street and the communication was good. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the garden. We did have a little issue with the water pressure in the upstairs shower but nothing too major. All in all a nice stay!

Nice stay at St. Peters . The house was super clean and cozy, water pressure in bathroom is very good so you take shower with great satisfaction, linen is clean, home appliances are working properly, so there is no lack of anything you need. Extremely Disappointing Experience – Avoid if You Have a Car! Positive: I recently stayed at this location and my experience was one of the worst I've ever had. The staff was unhelpful and only offered apologies without taking any real action to resolve issues. We faced constant stress regarding parking, despite providing our vehicle's number plate on time. In the end, we ended up racking up £175 in fines, which was incredibly frustrating. To avoid further stress, we decided to park and pay for parking ourselves, which was not what we expected since the booking was supposed to include parking. It turned out to be a complete lie, as they "forgot" to arrange the virtual parking for us. After persistently requesting a refund for the penalty tickets, we found ourselves having to escalate the issue to Booking.com. Thankfully, they were able to assist us in resolving the matter, but it was disappointing that the help did not come from the apartment host or management staff. If you have a car, I strongly advise against staying here. And if you encounter any problems, don’t expect the staff to listen or help you. It’s shocking how guests are treated at this place. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere!

Loved it. The place is centrally located, can walk everywhere. Tidy and full equipped. Lovely and warm. We and our travelling cat loved it and would happily stay there again

Host very reactive, perfect location and the excellent bonus is the parking which is possible with owner support. House itself has all convenient équipement. Some minor maintenance improvement aspects like Light bulbs to be replaced or furniture could make it a perfect stay ! I all cases overall excellent stay and we will come back !

The location was ideal—close to local shops and restaurants but still quiet and peaceful. The host was extremely respons Positive: I had an incredible experience staying at this house. From the moment I arrived, everything was perfect. The home was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, and the living areas were spacious and comfortable.

Pros: great location, nice backyard. Cons: no hot water, no heating, irresponsive host, host didn’t provide check-in instructions before extra payment over the Airbnb price for insurance (need to provide bank details via unknown service).
