Perfect Positive: The check-in was very easy staff were very friendly helpful, the lodge was beautiful hot tub was perfect, was so peaceful and tranquil, our dog loved his walks the lodge was pet friendly which was amazing

Positive: Very comfortable accommodation and quiet location on site. A short drive or a 7 min walk to main entrance and on site restaraunt. Really good facilities, very clean and pleasnt stay! Facilities on site very good.

Will not return Positive: It was spotless, spacious with everything you could need in the kitchen area. It was a lovely quiet site and the bar on site was lovely. Negative: The hot tub was a little small- perfect for the two of us but I can’t see how 4 adults could use it. I am frustrated that the day before check in I had to pay a refundable deposit of £250 plus admin fee or £40 insurance. I have only ever left properties clean and tidy to only have these options the day before when I had paid for the property in full at the time of booking just feels like a rip off. Since the deposit could be held for up to 2 weeks I felt I had no choice than to pay for an insurance. Never in my life have I ever damaged a property. What a waste of money.

Allerthorpe is lovely, perfect for a quiet chilled get a way, lodge was lovely and modern but could have done to be clea Positive: Lovely and quiet, nice location, beds are really comfy, the restaurant on site is fab! Negative: Real lack of amenities ie, no hairdryer or hoover, there was dog hairs all over the carpet. Lack of kitchen equipment, only had 2 knifes so had to go ask for more.

Don’t waste £450 on a two night stay here! Positive: It was a beautifully designed van, unfortunately it was foisty and stunk of stale cigarettes Negative: The outside furniture could not be used as it was green with algae. Algae was up the sides of the van and on all of the decking the hot tub was for four people but unfortunately was more suited to 2. There was also still food in the freezer and the oven was dirty. when we spoke to Host and stay they advised us that there should be a deep clean three times a year and unfortunately this van had never had one The biggest problem we had was the stale stench of cigarettes throughout the van. We did complain to host and stay who rather rudely told us that the outside area was the business of the owner and nothing to do with them. I did advise that my agreement was with them, not the owner and that I felt they should’ve dealt with this. Lynn did attend the property and took the cushions away as they were so disgusting and did bring me some air fresheners. I still await hearing from them regarding compensation, but I don’t expect I will hear anything back.

The hot tub was perfect, everything was spotless. Neighbours were lovely and the site felt expensive and upper class. Positive: Hot tub, comfort of the bed, surroundings, views. Negative: Nothing I didn’t like.
