Great value flat stay in central Liverpool Positive: Great location and well appointed flat. Negative: Outside being renovated and a bit hard to find due to scaffolding. Key pickup from minimart very easy and for the location and price incredible value.

Good value for money. Very close to Liverpool one with lots of options to go out. Plenty of supermarkets to buy things. Keys collection is an issue, not next to the property, need to go and collect at a news agent 10 min walk.

The flat itself was exactly as described. Beds were very comfortable and rooms spacious. However, outside the flat door was a working building site, albeit, safe. There were bannisters in place so as not to enter building site area. The workmen were really chatty and friendly, I had a good laugh with them. The location was great, a short walk to Albert Docks and transport networks and bars and grocery stores around the corner. Streets were quiet, which was good. TV had all apps for logging in to Netflix etc. KItchen was very well equipped. Power shower was delightful. Chargeable off-site parking for the two days was £50 but was just around the corner. Great for carrying luggage to and from flat. Really good value for money, excellent and speedy response to all correspondence from Host. Very friendly communication. Would definitely stay again.

Good location, but might look somewhere with later checkout for check time Positive: The location was perfect 👌 Negative: 5 towels for 6 guests, work being carried out on the building and workmen started around 6 a.m ish, but not told about this. No option for a little later check out even when asked if I wanted an extra night due to availability. The fan in the bathroom didn't work so after a few showers was very hot in there.

stressful Positive: I was travelling on my own and was left with nobody to call as the key collecting instructions were not there. It took me two hours to get the keys. Had I have come late at night, I would have been totally stranded. This was a failure at the hosts end as I had added an extra night and whilst I had sent all my authorisation and deposit notices, the host had not merged the bookings. It was extremely stressful and an awful experience that I would not be booking this again. Negative: Keys were at location that was too far from the residence. The apartment was in a scaffolded building that felt very unsafe

Location was the only positive here Positive: Location was fantastic, 5 minutes walk from Liverpool one and Albert dock. Beds were comfortable. Negative: Check-in was supposed to be from 3pm however the cleaners were late finishing and so I had to wait around for a full hour to get the keys while my family waited at a cafe. Then there was construction work going on from 8am that we hadn't been informed about and woke us all. The bath also leaked into the master bedroom and wet all the carpet, our luggage and clothes, causing a really bad smell in the room. We were told maintenance were coming to fix it, however there was no evidence of anyone having fixed it as it still leaked again the next morning. The accommodation said suitable for 6 people but there wasn't even 6 cups, bowls or plates available so people had t finish eating, then wash up the dishes before others could eat. There was not enough hand towels or toilet rolls either..... 1 hand towel to 6 people for 3 days! Some washing up liquid instead of washing tablets would have been more beneficial.

Shouldn’t be allowed on here. Positive: Nothing Negative: Filthy, unsafe, broken bed, water leak under flooring, dirty sofas/sofabed, disgusting bathroom. Complete building site would avoid at all costs. Got a full refund.

A building site. Positive: Apartment is comfortable, well equipped, and in a good location. Negative: Building is covered in scaffolding and is effectively a building site. 10am check out time is ridiculous, especially so on a weekend, so wouldn't stay again.

The location of this apartment is great for those wanting a central location for shopping and sightseeing. The apartment is clean however it would benefit from some maintenance. We did experience some issues during our stay, the host and airbnb have been helpful with these.

We had a disappointing experience at this apartment. The couch was stained, the living room windows couldn’t be opened, and due to ongoing construction right outside, there was no sunlight in the living room and a lot of noise. The bathroom had no window, the ventilator didn’t work, and there was mold on the ceiling. My friend also saw a bug inside. We had to pick up the keys from a separate location about 10 minutes away, which wasn’t ideal. Even worse, we were told last minute that we needed to return the key to the same location — and the day before checkout, they introduced a fine if we didn’t. That was never mentioned upfront. The apartment was poorly maintained, communication was unclear, and important details were not disclosed. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

AVOID THIS BUILDING SITE. This property is currently under going serious construction and to enter you have to walk through the building site and into a dark car park which is not safe. There is signs in the property to say no short term lets, you will be asked to leave. The apartment itself has scaffolding covering every window so there is no light into it. The sofa is covered in stains and the floors are filthy. The host stopped responding to us once we entered the property but luckily airbnb were there to assist and gave us a full refund.

Disappointing Positive: The location was great. The suze of the accommodation was very good. Negative: Very tired and dirty. We had to place a spare sheet on the sofa before sitting on it. Things not working: TV, Toaster, Wifi, Things to work on: Cleanliness. Response to queries, rather than a generic one.. No bed side lights in one bedroom. There was so much scaffolding up you could not see out of the windows, so made the property very dark. Basically the place is a building site, so unable to open windows or the balcony doors. Walking almost a mile to collect key. Had a written confirmation of early check in at midday, but could not get key until 3pm, which made us late for our concert.

Great location just such a shame about how dirty the apartment was. Positive: The location was great! Negative: On arrival the property was extremely dirty, looks like it was never cleaned from the previous people. Bathroom was the dirtiest where we had to clean it ourselves before using it. There was lots of construction work going on around the entire building that we weren’t made aware off. The collection of the key was further away than anticipated too.

Dirty and damaged unit, short term rentals not allowed There were signs posted around the building clearly stating that short term rentals were not allowed and that guests would be asked to leave. The host told me not to worry about the signs with no further explanation. VRBO was also of no help. The unit was dirty with black mold in multiple locations. The floorboards were coming up and the mattress was stained from urine and blood. The key pickup location was about a mile away. Host was dismissive of all concerns.

Great location, apartment itself is nice and clean. Building is terrible and key collection was a disaster Positive: Apartment was clean, in perfect location to the city centre. Negative: Key collection from L1 Mini Market was not very smooth. Was given incorrect PIN number to get key and took 2 phone calls to get the correct PIN for the key. Was also initially given the wrong key for a different apartment. Staff on phone were friendly but took over 45 minutes at the mini market to get it sorted and get the correct key. Apartment block is a complete building site. Scaffolding everywhere. Unable to open windows because it was straight on to scaffolding. Apartment block not the easiest to find straight away, could do with better signage.

Ubicación perfecta para disfrutar de Liverpool Positive: La ubicación es insuperable, muchos bares restaurantes, a un paso de la caverna y de donde ocurre lo entretenido en liverpool. El departamento tiene lo necesario para 4 personas, éramos 6 así que tuvimos que solicitar más mugs, pero llegaron con solo pedirlos. La comunicación con nuestro anfitrión fue excelente, cuando necesitamos alguna cosa el siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudar y a ayudarnos. Negative: Éramos 6 personas de mediana edad, por lo que las dos que dormimos en el sofá cama no dormimos de lo más comodos hacia el final de nuestra estadía (culpo a los +35 años, más que al alojamiento para que consideren en su decisión de usar el sofá si tienes esa edad o mas) .

Perfekte Lage für den Städtetrip Positive: Die Lage im Zentrum war perfekt für einen Städtetrip. Einerseits die Innenstadt mit allen Bars, Restaurants und Shops. Andererseits auch nur 5 min zu Fuß bis zu den Docks. Sämtliche Bus und Bahnstationen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Bequeme Betten, ausreichend Handtücher. Negative: Schlüsselübergabe war sehr kompliziert und etwa 10 min Fußweg entfernt in einem Mini Markt. Trotz vorheriger Kommunikation waren die Abläufe unzureichend. Alles musste gesucht werden. Das ganze Haus wird gerade kernsaniert und ist eine große Baustelle. Balkon gar nicht nutzbar. Badezimmer schon etwas abgenutzt.

Liverpool is an interesting, vibrant and friendly city, but I would not recommend Ropewalks Abode. Positive: As regards situation in Liverpool, it was central and handy for sightseeing, restaurants, etc. Negative: Poor communication from 'Host and Stay' - email links which didn't work, no information about £30 non-returnable damage cover. Key collection was difficult and it took 2 hours to access the apartment due to non-receipt of relevant passcode, wrong passcode given, second passcode enabled key collection but on arrival it did not fit the lock; several phone calls to 'Host and Stay' office later, someone from maintenance came with the correct key. My main grievance is that the apartment is on a building site surrounded by scaffolding, plastic sheeting, tape, etc. - this fact was not included in the booking information from booking.com but is mentioned in several reviews going back to at least April. I would not have booked this property if I had known. For what we paid (£569.90 + £30 damage cover) it did not represent value for money.

Negative: The place could use a bit more kitchen utensil’s and frying pan. A better outside signage for fire exits. As not visible with the place is under construction eluminated exits Construction surprised us, a note in booking that that was occurring would have made us less wary upon arrival Just minor: kitchen window was broken and while very clean place there was some staining on the nice furniture. Shower tends to spray out. A more detailed location for key pick up and a description of the use of keys with fobs would be so beneficial as we were fortunate to have someone entering the buildings show us the steps

Positive: The location was brilliant. A 2 minute walk to Liverpool 1, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Was awkward to find at first, as Google maps takes you to the other side of the street, but no big deal. Would definitely stay again

Bad Positive: The location was good and the water pressure in the shower was good. Negative: Key collection awful. Directions to the property were bad!! Cleanliness in the apartment was awful. The apartment was shoddy. Kitchen utensils were lacking and dirty. Bathroom mouldy. Smelled dreadful. Spare keys useless.

OK ish Positive: Clean and good location. Negative: It's in a building site. The bedrooms smell damp, there is no cladding on the outside wall, scaffolding and building work going on all around, we honestly thought we came to the right place. The fridge smells really bad too

Really fed up with the waiver which I did not expect and thought ridiculous. It was badly described on both booking.com Positive: Clean, well furnished but a bit short on crockery Negative: Access difficult. The key had to be collected from a shop a fair walk away leaving others stranded outside with luggage. The entrance door was straight onto the pavement with a complex system of fobs instructions for which had been sent on different emails so everyone was looking things up and getting confused. We were on the 5th floor where the walls were all stripped back and scaffolding everywhere so externally tatty.

Positive: Everything, it was amazing and we didn't have to wait until 3pm to check in as the apartment was already cleaned and ready to go when we arrived at the bag drop. Top class service. Very clean and in an amazing location, will definitely stay here again. Negative: Maybe add an extra couple of toilet rolls in the bathroom

Excellent location to enjoy the city. Positive: The location was incredible. The overall property was excellent Negative: The main entrance area didn’t have lighting. The common area to access the apartment is not the nicest.

stay was very enjoyable 4th time in Liverpool and i will be back. Positive: Location was perfect for our party everything close by 5min walk to centre shops restaurants and bars, off licence just across the road for everything you need. Negative: The Wi-Fi code i was given didn't work could have done with a laminated sheet with the Wi-Fi code on also some information as to where we could put our recyclables and the rubbish out as well.

the location is good as v close to shopping centre and central part. however, the building is old and smelly. the apt is on the top floor. the apt looks better in pictures than actually. we of course wash all the dishes and silverware before using but this was man - first time where I see dirty plates with dry catchup souce on them. every time we enter to the apt there is some kind of smell inside. after awhile you stop noticing. the major issue is there is some kind of construction work is happening next building (balcony and living/kitchen room side). the construction starts at 6 am and they are quite noisy. we stayed two nights and in both mornings we woke up due to construction noise. i reported this, and send pics/video but apart from apologies host did nothing and host said they are not aware of it. i asked to change to another similar apt but I was ignored on that. yes you are not the one who is making construction noise but you are letting out apt and benefiting from it.
