Definite 'wow' factor when you walk in! Positive: Very spacious apartment. Perfect for a family or group. Beautiful interior & well-furnished & equipped. It has the wow factor & is full of character. The location is right on the sea front & ideal for walking to shops, bars, restaurants, the beach! Negative: It's a basement apartment so the views from the windows are mainly the concrete wall. But the sea's right opposite! The front entrance area tends to collect litter which is obviously out of anyone's control. Just looks messy at times. The steps down to the front door perhaps could be slippy in bad weather & I think the hand-rail didn't reach the full way. It was a shame the tv in the 'master room' wasn't set-up so after trying a couple of channels & needing to register my email address for them, I gave up. Also, if you're a light sleeper, you can hear the road traffic from the coastal road. The master bedroom's en-suite shower room could do with some deep cleaning around the shower edges (inside & outside of the cubicle).

Regency Mansions flat 1 Positive: the place is beautiful with everything you need Negative: we didn't find any instructions for the tv in the living room . couldn't.t get the tv in the bedroom to work. luckily because we had only 2 nights we managed by playing games.my grandaughter would have liked to use the dance mat but we couldn't get it set up.

While this property offers plenty of space and modern comforts, it's a bit of a mixed bag but definitely worth a second look. Inside, you'll find a welcoming, well-designed layout with many helpful features, ideally located near the beach and town centre amenities. For your safety and comfort, I recommend using only the front door and walking around to the car park—please avoid the back stairs, which are not maintained and have a strong odour. During peak season, the busy road can be a bit noisy in the basement apartment, but once inside, you'll enjoy spacious bedrooms, some with en-suites or family bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and all the tools you’ll need. The utility room is spacious enough for sorting your post-beach gear, featuring a washer-dryer, drying racks, and space to organise everything. The open plan living and dining area is bright and welcoming, with a large smart TV (including Sky and Xbox), a dining table, and sofas that comfortably seat six to seven people. We enjoyed days on the beach and family movies – and will certainly consider staying again if we are back in Redcar.

Positive: The location and the apartment itself were perfect for what we needed. Great space for families. Negative: There was a collection of small bags that's had had white powder in left in a draw in the living area that one of the children found, there were empty alcohol bottles left in the draws in the children's room, everyone is entitled to do what they like but they should have been removed before new guests arrived, as it is not what I would like my children to be around. The house bathroom smelt badly on arrival and the smell lingered. The crockery in the kitchen all had to be rewashed before use as it was not clean, nor was the air fryer.

Really enjoyed our stay here, we know the area well and visit family and this is the best accommodation that we have stayed at. It’s right on the seafront and 10 min walk from the station.

Good value for money Positive: Great location on the sea front. Big rooms and loads of space. A big playground walking distance. Negative: Damp smell throughout the property and kitchen was a bit old and outdated but enough for our needs.

Fantastic stay in huge apartment! Positive: Fantastic space, plenty of room and lovely decor. Couldn't believe the size of it! On first entering, I thought we had the wrong place, it's huge! lots of room so you don't feel on top of each other, great to have extra bathrooms. The kids loved all the hiding places and we all felt very at home. Would book again for sure. Negative: There still seems to be some issues with damp which is understandable as it's a semi-ground floor flat. It's clear that steps have been and are being taken to address it but there is still a damp smell when first entering property. Didn't affect our stay though and would book again. Could have done with an extra key as due the door needing to be locked from outside if some of the party stayed home, you have to either lock someone in or someone out! The steps in the hallway are difficult to see due to the flooring colour. Not so much of an issue usually but with young children and a partially blind adult, they were a little hazardous. Perhaps painting the lip of each step a different colour would rectify this and make them more visible.

Unfortunately the apartment was damp and full of mould Airbnb have been amazing but unfortunately the hosts are yet to still respond to my complaint my husband suffered after visit with his asthma black mould in window next to bed my child couldn’t sleep in it. The apartment smells so bad of damp and water was coming down the walls in the living room, very disappointing the hosts do not take health issues seriously.

The flat felt somewhat regal. There is so much space whilst still having a cosy feel. With the added bonus of Sky TV there is plenty of channels to entertain a whole family. The location is perfect as you just have to cross the road to get to the beach. We felt very spoiled! Having a parking space made our stay so much easier. Would 100% love to return.

Excellent value for money top quality apartment. Redcar is a nice place to visit. Positive: Property was very impressive and was decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. There is plenty of space with generous room sizes and it is very well maintained. The equipment is also very good with most things that you need. The apartment is in a quiet part of town and right on the seafront. Negative: Basement/ ground floor apartment so not the best views and there was a musty smell when we first arrived however this cleared relatively quickly and did not effect our enjoyment of the property in any way.

Positive: Easy access into Redcar, great value for money

Great location and price. Positive: Perfect location for the course i was attending and great being right opposite the sea. The apartment was a really good size for the price. Comfy beds and a really nice large living room communal area. Negative: On arrival, there was a really bad smell coming from the kitchen sink. We contacted customer service but didn't get a reply. In the end, we just had to make sure the plug was in and closed as it was the drain that smelt terrible. It would be worth having somebody clean the trap under the sink. The apartment was advertised as having a coffee machine, which it did, but it would have been nice to be told what sort so i could have bought some pods for it beforehand. Perhaps have a couple of pods supplied on the first day. We were surprised to find an xbox 360 in the living room, which was exciting until we found it didn't actually work and only had one controller. This wasn't advertised, so it would have been a bonus anyway.

A nice place to stay and great value. We didn’t realise it was a basement apartment from the photos, but otherwise everything in the flat was nice.

Spacious Apartment, great decor, but needs some attention when it comes to cleanliness. Positive: The apartment was spacious and very comfortable beds, with 7 of us staying there you didn't feel ontop of one another. The location was great, everything within walking distance and a good base for visiting other areas such as whitby. Negative: As soon as you walked in the apartment there was an overwhelming smell of damp, even if we sprayed and put plug ins in, it didn't make a difference! The apartment wasn't the cleanest, bathroom had mould and hair left around the shower area, could do with a deep clean throughout.

Positive: Everything about this beautiful apartment was exceptional. The decor, the furniture even down to the ornaments were done with style & grace. It felt very grand & opulent. It was so comfortable too from the beautiful velvet sofas to the super comfy beds. In fact the first day we got there I had a nasty fall & shattered my shoulder but because we absolutely loved the apartment we decided to stay until the end of our little holiday & we're so glad we did as it was absolutely no hardship to stay at home & just enjoy this wonderful little find. We'll most certainly be back & would recommend it to anyone who wants a little opulence in their life. Negative: There is absolutely nothing we didn't like. Perfect.

great place, comfortable and spacious. would stay again. Positive: This apartment was perfect for our needs. It was very spacious. We were a party of 3 adult men travelling for work. It had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which helped immensely, as no one had to wait to get showered after work. The beds were very comfortable and we made use of the washing machine. Negative: the only bad point, which i can't blame the host for, was whoever was in the upstairs apartment was a bit noisy in the night, walking backwards and forwards to the toilet.

Redcar in Winter Positive: Loved the decor and having the Christmas trees made it extra special. Very spacious apartment, and the location was good. Easy walks along promenade and good train/ bus service. Comfy beds with nice bedding. Handy having a washing machine. Negative: Wasn't anything to really dislike. Small additions to increase the amount of crockery and cooking utensils would have made it even better.

Communication from start to finish was fantastic. Wow the property was fantastic, exactly like description and photos. It catered for our big family visiting family, a home from home. Thank you so much, we will defiantly use this property again.

Regency Mansions in Redcar, Cleveland is on the sea front with parking space to the rear of the property which is ideal, but if i was able to smell the damp before I booked the accommodation i would never of booked to stay there. I suffer from breathing problems with asthma and copd, the smell of damp hits you as soon as you open the door to the property, it's then tried to be masked by air freshers which clearly will not work! Grubby soft furnishings, damp walls making wallpaper lift, bathroom's have black mould visible around bath and screen, toilet seats are all broken, toilet cleaning brushes disgusting and need replacing. Not a healthy place to stay and since I stayed ive been poorly with my chest due to the damp.

The property was incredibly spacious and in a really nice location. The host was very attentive and responsive throughout our stay.

It’s a fantastic apartment and we would love to stay there again. Positive: Fabulous location, spacious, clean and comfortable. Loved having a bathroom each. Negative: Only one key so we had to come and go together which was inconvenient. There was no way to lock the door without the key and we didn’t feel comfortable with the door unlocked so at one point my companions locked me in. We weren’t told before our arrival that there was scaffolding blocking the car parking spaces and the agency wasn’t very helpful. We wouldn’t have minded if we had known and we had been given information on parking options.

Had a great time

Good sized accommodation, convenient for the beach. Kitchen let it down. Positive: We liked the size of the accommodation, having three bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Negative: The kitchen is very small and we didn't feel it was clean enough based on our experience of similar holiday accommodation. - The microwave was dirty and had fingerprints on it. - The oven was dirty. - The fridge didn't look like it had been cleaned. - Crockery had cracks and chips on it. All in all it was a bit shoddy compared to the rest of the accommodation. We didn't like the response of the management company. They are good at saying the right words and writing the right things but didn't take any action on some of the matters. With regard to the broken microwave it took two days for an engineer to come and look at it and say that he couldn't fix it. We would have preferred to have had a standalone microwave for the last two days at least because we had younger children with us and we use the microwave a lot. The management company just kept apologising but they didn't fix this for us. They appeared to be polite in their responses but I got the impression they were hoping to get away with it. That's how they made me feel. They said housekeeping would contact us about the kitchen but they never did. In the end we just cleaned things ourselves before using them. NB there is a cafeteria not a coffee machine.

regency mansions flat 1 Positive: the flat was lovely and very convenient Negative: couldn't work the microwave or grill tv remote missing in bedroom,couldn't get normal channels on tv ,good job one of us has netflix. a bit grubby throughout needs a good bottoming .tables sticky.hard to get in touch with anyone english when something is wrong. still enjoyed the stay and would come again if we didn't now have a caravan here.

Great central location for short stay. Positive: Location was great, huge property but also cosy to watch TV in evening etc, very quirky furnishings throughout. Great place for group of friends or families. Liked that info was in online guide. Interesting history of building. Negative: Little outside space could be better maintained. No coffee machine as was listed. Contacted Host and Stay who replied but nothing was rectified.

Everything was perfect. Large spacious room with everything we needed. Lovely modern kitchen and bathrooms and fresh white bed linen Free parking, 30 second walk to the sea and 5 minutes to the shops means we didn’t have to get the car out at all The accommodation was really quiet considering we were on the main road and cool even in the hottest day of the year at over 30 degrees

Positive: The whole apartment had been renovated since my last stay and it looked really good. Nice new kitchen and floor through the hallway. Redecorated in the living room. This property is the perfect location for my stay and great value for money.

I thought that maybe having a tv in the big room would be very handy. To have a big mirror in the hall way would be amazing but there wasn’t anything that I could dislike

Positive: Decor and location Negative: Entrance very untidy, stairs in awkward. Rubbish under the bed. Untidy cupboards and rusty old frying pan in drawer. Damp in bottom room and drains smelly. Hot water control in boiler too low. Heating control not where it was supposed to be, so had to call to find how to adjust it ourselves.

This is a lovely space and the decor was well chosen. It is really spacious. There was an issue with some damp and mould and I think this place suffers as it is a basement apartment. I think this should be made more clear in the listing. Redcar itself is a little run down. Prefer some of the other places on that coast such as Staithes, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and even Loftus.

Smart, spacious apartment in excellent location Positive: Excellent location, comfy beds and the bathrooms were really nice with powerful showers. The sofas were comfortable and there were plenty of places to sit throughout the apartment. Loads of space, and wardrobes in every room. The sea was just about visible from the windows and we could see the iconic Redcar penguins from the windows too. Negative: The kitchen was poorly equipped and small. The flooring needed repairing in places.

Huge lovely apartment, very clean and tidy. The only thing I could suggest is to have blackout blinds in the bedrooms. Would stay here for sure.

Do not stay here!!! The house is full of damp and absolutely stinks. They have attempted to mask this with an unnecessary amount of air fresheners. Soaked wet and stained carpets in the main bedroom. Mould up the wall in main bedroom. All plates cutlery and cups needed washing before use as they were dirty. Left in the hallway were coffee cups with floating mould in. This property is spacious and that’s about the only positive. Can’t stay somewhere which is a risk to your health. Don’t book, you’ll regret it.

Exceptional apartment Positive: Beautiful apartment, exceptionally clean, well presented with extra touches that went above expectation, great communication from booking til the end of our stay. Negative: It was very hard to find any faults, but only downfall was a less mobile family member who lives nearby couldn't visit the property due to stairs to the front door, but this did not hinder our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host communicated quickly and answered all our questions regarding the property and our stay. There was mentions of damp in previous reviews and this was our main concern. They assured us the issue had been resolved and it had. We have stayed in many air bnbs and also other sites offerings but honestly this one stands out for us as genuinely feeling homely. We didn't want to leave. The place is massive and will sleep 7 without feeling in the least bit cramped. You have your own parking space and the beach literally over the road, what is not to like? We will definitely stay here again next time we visit.

We found Redcar a super place to stay and overall the apartment met our requirements. Positive: Size; Location; Excellent towels & bedding; Good facilities; Free on-site Parking. Negative: Smells in kitchen and laundry room - like dirty drains (used candles and bleach to counteract); Cleaning - Lucozade bottle under sofa, dirty wet towels in bathroom, dust on television stand. Oven pans and frying pan unusable. Would have preferred better outlook (being a basement apartment that we were unaware it would be, meant could not see view properly and could not open windows efficiently because of security.

Location was nice Positive: Liked the location and property was in perfect location. Only problem was host and stay said it’s in ground floor flat but it’s wasn’t. It’s semi ground floor and can see the sea view from the windows, the makes me bit upset. Apartment was little cold because it was slightly semi ground level. Anyway thanks Host and stay Negative: I didn’t like the flat was in semi ground floor.

OK but tired in places and damp issues. Positive: Lounge and dining room well decorated and large rooms. Bedroom 2 & 3 both nicely decorated and comfy. Negative: Issues with damp in the main bedroom, wallpaper lifting in places and signs of mould and blown plaster. Also very bad smell of damp in utility. Kitchen had broken door and fake draw on sink unit. Overall the flat could do with a new damp proof course and revamp.

Second visit here. Lovely apartment very relaxing, love the decor and large rooms. Very clean on arrival apart from a couple of very large cobwebs but to be honest the apartment is massive and a job well done. The only other point on cleaning internally was when we lifted the blinds there were a decent number of little dead flies on the window sills. Easily missed if you don't pull the blinds up. 9 out 10 for cleanliness inside. Outside is quite scruffy on the steps leading to apartment this has been mentioned before and wouldn't take much cleaning. The scaffolding still being up spoils the appearance, nothing the owner can do about the scaffolding. Creates an instant bad impression of what is a wonderful apartment. Bedrooms are massive as is front / dining room and nicely fitted and decorated. Kitchen is small but functional, could really do with more pots and pans. Appliances in the kitchen are great. Lovely warm apartment, can't believe how quickly it heats up. We'll return.

Easy Check in Process! Great Property!

Positive: Lounge and the huge amount of space Negative: Kitchen is poorly equipped En-suite basic

Pleasant Positive: The property was spacious, well furnished and had good facilities. The location was good, parking was ok the place was close to all the amenities. Negative: • On arrival, access to the property was difficult due to an Acrow Prop being positioned directly on the steps in front of the door, it was particularly difficult gaining entry and exit when moving luggage. • On entering the property there was a noticeable smell of damp • The mattress in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable. • On the Friday night/Saturday morning of the stay there was a power cut in the area which caused the boiler to fault and had to be reset numerous times. Whilst I realise the power cut was out of your control it is fortunate, we were able to keep resetting the boiler. • We had to replenish the toilet rolls in all the bathrooms ourselves • We were unable to use the allotted parking space for the Apartment on Saturday/Sunday. A builders skip had been deposited in the bay adjacent to ours with a chute coming down from the first floor. There were building materials on the floor in our bay which would have been on my car if I had parked there. (see attached photo) • Finally during our stay the sink in one of the bedrooms was slow to drain and only did so when the toilet was flushed. However, and fortunately for us it was our last morning the toilet itself flooded and cover the bathroom floor in water, which we cleared up. It was disappointing that when bringing these issues to the owners attention, all we received was an e-mail apology. I definitely wont be staying at this property again and would avoid any other place hosted by the same company.

Positive: the size of the apartment and decor throughout is fantastic. comfortable beds. Great location. Negative: The overwhelming smell of damp. it was so strong I have brought the smell home with me. The cupboards in the utility are full of mould. Its such a shame as the apartment is great. I was also sad to see the steps/ entrance to the property hadn’t been swept. it was full of dirt and cig butts. The last people to stay had also left rubbish bags outside. The host and stay rep was still parked up when we arrived, I don’t understand why he didn’t dispose of the rubbish.
