💯 would recommend for a lovely family stay, we shall return love Whitby x Positive: Lovely modern premises, very clean and had everything we needed. Great location for us walkers. Negative: Nothing

Family holiday home Positive: Good family sized house, comfortable walk into Whitby. Good sofas and kitchen seating. Negative: Garden was unkept and there was not enough outdoor seating. The house was not fully clean and we had to defrost the freezer. No response or refund or apologies from the agency or owners. The bedrooms all needed more storage. These issues have all been raised in previous reviews.

Great property - location not good for those with mobility issues Positive: House was excellent. Spacious, well equipped and comfortable. We were a group of three adults, two kids and a dog. The property was perfect for us. Negative: Not quite enough space for two cars on the drive and location was slightly too far out of the town. Walking in was no problem but the hill back was difficult as we were pushing a wheelchair and the dog is elderly.

Nice spacious house for family get together in walking distance of Whitby. Also easy access to moorland villages by road or rail.

Redsky - Fab house, great location! Positive: The location was fab, 5 mins drive from Whitby Harbour,close to shops like Sainsbury's and Aldi.The house itself was great, exactly like the pictures. Very clean and comfy with great art and decor. The bedrooms were spacious, the house was light and airy ,with good sized living room for all of us to chill out in the evening. Negative: Small thing but little touches like a starter kit (washing up liquid, sponge etc)was not provided despite messaging a couple of times and being told it would be. I would have bought my own but was told it would be dropped off. Also shower turned cold after only half of the family had used it. After a day at the beach, the kids really needed to shower off.

Fabulous house for family reunion. Great position for local walks and good to have playground nearby for footballl games.

Home away from home! Positive: Loved the spacious size of the property and the large, open plan kitchen with a dining table for 6 people. The rear garden is enclosed and has lovely, mature trees and sunlight which is a peaceful place to sit and relax. The decor inside is very tasteful and fixtures and fittings are modern and made it like home from home. Location/ distance from Whitby and other local places of interest/places to eat is excellent. Large sized smart TV is great as we were able to watch Netflix (using our login). Driveway and a safe neighbourhood with a children's park amd green space less than 100 metres away to walk our dog. Negative: Check in at 4pm is a little late. Perhaps a degree of flexibility e.g. 2 - 3pm to suit guests travelling large distances or with young children. Mattress in main bedroom could do with an upgrade e.g. a sightly firmer or higher spec one to make for a comfier sleep.

Lovely base for touring the local area Modern 4-bedroomed house in a quiet residential location near the centre of Whitby. Well equipped and good size for a family of 5 plus a dog. Enclosed garden is great for the dog.

Happy holiday home A very good safe location for families, with small play area near. The house was perfect for our needs being two couples and two children & dog. A central location to explore the area, with a 30 minute walk to the town, & supermarket a short drive.

Great Weekend Great property with good size bedrooms and a lovely kitchen diner that seats 8 people. In a good location with a 20 minute walk into heart of Whitby and 10 minutes from the pub up the road. Lovely and clean and well furnished, it was a great place to stay and we all enjoyed it.

Overall, a pleasant experience and we wouldn't hesitate to rebook if we were ever back in Whitby. Positive: Location, parking and two bathrooms including a downstairs wc. The rooms were a great size and plenty of space for family and friends to sit around a table and in a private garden. Host and Stay were at the end of a phone to sort a minor issue, a faulty bathroom light fitting, this was resolved very quickly. The location of the property is very quiet. We would book through Host and Stay again, we couldn't fault their service. Negative: We like to cook, having a single oven/grill made preparing some meals more difficult. Hanging clothes was possible in all bedrooms, but in 3 of the bedrooms, the hanging facilities were prone to coming off the wall as they were only fixed into stud walls.

Lovely home in a beautiful place. Positive: The house was lovely, and very well prepared for us. Lots of things carefully thought through - particularly plenty of hooks around the house which are so useful. Garden also very pleasant. Great location - walking into Whitby was good exercise - and the problems of parking in Whitby itself were avoided. Also being able to explore the lovely coastline, and venture onto the moors, and especially ascend Roseberry Topping. Close to supermarkets (once we realised where they were). Negative: Having booked through Booking.com the messages received from Host & Stay were a bit confusing / inconsistent. Description might have clarified the parking did not include access to the garage. Main omission - nothing to aid re-cycling - only one grey bin (although neighbours had re-cycling bins). Perhaps it was to avoid guests having to worry - but in today’s world, we all need to do what we can!

A beautiful house, spotless and very well presented. Positive: The property was spotless and very well equipped! It was my dad’s 80th birthday and it was a beautiful space for 3 generations to spend the weekend together. Negative: Nothing to dislike!

Very well situated for a nice walk into Whitby, spacious property and kept clean. It listed a tumble dryer but there isnt one and apart from a washing line outside, would of been handy to have an airer inside of the property for the bad weather. Overall we had a pleasant stay as a family of 5 adults 2 children and a dog.

We had a lovely stay, the place was clean and homey. Lots of sites to see and all within 10 minutes, nice neighbourhood and plenty of parking. We had a fun family holiday and very dog friendly.

Pleasant stay, Will be coming back! Positive: Good location for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, all rooms clean and as you would expect. Plus everything works as it should. Very responsive host, any questions you have are answered quickly! Also sainsburys 5 min drive from property. Negative: No Complaints

Positive: Spacious . Comfy, clean . Couldn't walk to town as elderly parent . So about 4 mins in the car or uber. Everything cleaning wise cutlery pots pans .

Nice and quiet location. Enjoyed our stay. Positive: It was spacious and reasonably clean. It had comfortable beds too. The location was really nice and quiet and we knew it would be a walk to the centre so that didn’t put us off, it took us about 30 minutes. You’ll walk down a big hill on the way down and up on the way back. Negative: There was only 2 dishwasher tablets left for us for 6 people for 4 days and 1 toilet roll per toilet as well which wasn’t enough for us. The kitchen (place mats etc) wasn’t the cleanest. The hot water ran out so we weren’t all able to have a hot shower every morning. I think it needs a good deep clean and weeds being removed from the front of the house to make it nicer.

Lovely place and situation, spacious clean rooms. Stairs a bit steep with nothing to hold on to at narrowing twist at bottom, however this would be no problem for most visitors.

Our stay was lovely a nice relaxing stay in a lovely house. Positive: The property was lovely, it was very clean. Negative: The location was a little out the way for us, it was about a 20 minute walk into Whitby. Could have done with more towels as there was 7 of us but only 5 bath towels.

Only being a bit picky but hard to find a negative....may a few weeds in the front and back garden and just the bathroom sink didn't drain away quick enough for the next person to use but these can be quickly fixed and really didn't detract from our stay.

Great stay Positive: Decor, size Negative: Kitchen equipment-saucepans not big enough for property that can sleep up to 7 people. No weighing scale or casserole dish for the oven.

We loved the house and will come back x Positive: Initially we went to the wrong address because 4 Nightingale drive takes you to a completely different address on Google maps. Negative: Our takeaway went to the wrong address because we couldn’t find the correct post code for Red Sky house.

Lovely home in good location. Well furnished, comfortable, lovely bed linen and nice garden and I would stay there again however, it was not as clean as it should have been and the basin was blocked. There was no oven glove. I reported all this Day2 but received no response until our stay was over which was disappointing.

Great stay, tidy and clean house. Spacious downstairs, the two smaller bedrooms are quite small, but that’s fine if you don’t have too much stuff. The only minor negative was that the sofa seat cushions kept sliding off, but it wasn’t the end of the world. It’s a pleasant 20 minute walk into Whitby, as it’s downhill but it’s a struggle uphill coming back if you’re not too fit. Overall a lovely stay, no complaints.

Clean modern property within walking distance of Whitby with all modern amenities.

What a lovely house and lovely perfect location in Whitby. Everything was perfect with only two minor cons. 1. The bed mattresses onnthe double beds were not to my taste but thats very subjective. 2. Lots of dog hair on the sofa. Apart from that it was amazing.. and then two issues as such definitely was not a deal breaker.
