Terrible in nearly every way Positive: The location is in the centre of Canterbury Negative: One of the worst places I've ever stayed. The showers are weak and they transition from scorching hot to freezing cold every few seconds, no signal or WiFi connection on the tv so we can't watch a damn thing, the rooms were so hot upstairs dispite opening the window that we barely got much sleep, and a lack of necessities in the kitchen like kitchen towels to clean or wipe anything. Me and my partner are not satisfied.

Terrific location for access to the vibrant pedestrian center of Canterbury, including the cathedral. The host is very proactive with communication; I especially appreciated the clear information ahead of time that the parking space is indeed quite small. I rented a small car based on that (a Fiat 500) and it fit perfectly - a larger car absolutely wouldn't have. The place itself does have rather thin floors, so if you're a group you'll hear the others in your group moving about on other levels, but that wasn't anything too distracting. Overall, it's clean, uncluttered, and was a great base for the area. We loved staying there and will hope to stay there again in the future!

Check-in was easy and the location good, but the accommodation was extremely disappointing. A strong, unpleasant smell, especially downstairs, aggravated my rhinitis. The carpets were old, dirty and stained, and the mattress had yellow stains. We spent three days without heating. The ground-floor shower was broken, while the upstairs shower had rust-like marks and yellow stains. Even after repairs, neither shower maintained a comfortable temperature. We reported the heating issue immediately, but the technician arrived only on day three, at 8 pm instead of the stated 2–5 pm. He knocked loudly and repeatedly, shouting outside until we opened the door. Kitchen utensils were old, the chopping board burnt, washing-up supplies missing and the clothes airer broken. We stayed seven days only because alternative accommodation was unaffordable at short notice, spending most of our time outside. The property urgently needs deep cleaning and maintenance. I would not return or recommend it.

A wonderful central location, with the added bonus of a private parking space. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The bed, linen and towels were all very clean, and the host was extremely responsive and helpful. However, the property is somewhat worn and could benefit from a more thorough clean (particularly the carpets and the top bathroom.) The main drawback is the soundproofing. The walls are very thin, and conversations next door can be heard remarkably clearly, including the neighbour’s morning alarm, which made a lie-in difficult. The views of the cathedral from the top bedroom are lovely, and with a good clean and a little TLC, this could be a really great place to stay.

We had a good stay. We enjoyed sleeping bang in the centre of canterbury. The house was spacious. It was hot when we were there. so it was very nice there was a ventilator in the house. Also much appreciated that there was a washing machine. Though the house itself is a bit worn, the towels and sheets were very clean and the bedroom was lovely. All in all we would definately stay here again!

Every day we had to fight with the people that worked in the restaurant who parked illegally and constantly blocked us in. The neighbours were on our side and helped us in getting vehicles moved by these ‘well known’ lawbreakers. There were several occasions when we were unable to use our car, which changed our plans adversely. On the day of departure, I had to threaten the guy who blocked us in with his white fiat 126 (or whatever) with physical violence because he just shrugged his shoulders and tried to walk away!I come on holiday to relax - not live in fear on whether I can use my car or not. You need to sort this out with these inconsiderate people or no one will want to stay here.

Great hosts! And perfect location right in the city!

Enjoyable - It was great to be able to stay in the City within easy walking distance of everything. Positive: Location was very good - right in the City Centre. Comfortable and clean. Suited our requirements. Towels, soap and shower gel provided - was not sure if they would be. Also tea and coffee and some milk packets - thank you. Negative: Sub titles on TV. Some wine glasses as corkscrew provided. Sofa cushions could be better.

It was good for what it was I have a few issues with the downstairs bathroom but aside from that not much else

Excellent location Positive: The location for walking access to all of Canterbury's amenities,, including a parking facility was excellent. Negative: Minor issues with bathrooms and the comfort of second bedroom has been bought to the attention of hosts for attention with an immediate response.

Whenever I had questions, the host replied very quickly and was very helpful. The location was excellent, very close to the cathedral, and we even found a favorite pub nearby. The property had two toilets, which was very convenient. The living room was spacious and easy to use, making our stay very comfortable overall.

Needs repainting kitchen was old blinds broken metal bar sticking up between kitchen and living room, grout in bathrooms mouldy carpets stained. Tv no signal Bed was comfy Nice location

Very good, everything perfect

Location was good and we enjoyed having two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Sheets on Master bed were stained and replaced with more stained sheets. I washed them in the washing machine. There were even stains on the duvet. The property is in serious need of renovation. Threadbare stained carpet and needs a new coat of paint and new furniture. The couch was very uncomfortable to sit on.

Property was just as advertised! Rooms were comfortable and when heater was turned on, the place warmed up very quickly and nicely. Location was perfect for us as we were working at the Marlowe theatre. Lots of good food and GREAT coffee places around. Located on a relatively quiet street so nights were peaceful. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking to be extremely close to lots of things to do!

Good location, but it is worth pointing out that the parking space only accommodates a small to medium size car. The cul de sac is narrow and there are several parked cars outside the restaurant at the entrance.The house is warm and comfortable, but there were a number of maintenance and cleaning issues. Hence only 3 stars.

Would not recomnend Positive: Location Negative: Communication poor. Carpet dirty, light outside did not work, TV kept losing internet, carpet on stairs dangerous, loose, one strut of bannister loose. Only one comfortable chair, one chair broken, nearly fell off, kitchen counter flaked as if painted. Noisy outside. Garbage everywhere. Bins overflowing, waste piled up in alleyway. Creepy people around. Felt unsafe coming home in dark especially with no light outside. Police knocked on door looking for, a, criminal one evening. Awakened every morning 6am by waste removal collecting bins from nearby shops. Bathrooms had black mould. Disgusting.

Location was perfect

Good, clean accommodation close to the centre of Canterbury.

Very convenient location, the town centre is just a few minutes walk away. Lots of restaurants, shops and beautiful attractions right on the doorstep. The flat itself was well stocked and fairly spacious and the host was helpful and friendly. Check-in was easy and it's great to have a parking space right outside the door. The walls are quite thin so unfortunately the neighbours are audible when talking loudly, closing doors etc. Also the external windows are extremely dirty. However, inside, the flat was clean and tidy. Overall a good experience.

Positive: Location was fabulous right near everything and a lovely little place to stay. Negative: The walls are fairly thin so can hear noise through to the next door neighbours

Énorme déception, tarif très élevé . Positive: Emplacement Parking Negative: Moquette très sale, vitres dégoûtantes, le thermostat de la douche du haut ne fonctionne pas , douche inutilisable , problème de chasse d’eau des WC du haut , une chaise inutilisable, l’ensemble est en mauvais état, sale , pour un prix très élevé . Problème de douche signalé de ma part , problème récurrent d’après les avis ( hélas lus trop tard , délai d’annulation dépassé ).

Good kitchen equipment comfortable beds Fan available Parking was really appreciated Good communication Negative: Rubbish and Recycling There was no information as to how and when the rubbish and recycling was collected. We discovered what night when we heard others moving their bins. On arrival the main outside bin was full and overflowing and the recycling bin not around. It was discovered full of rubbish down the road. Others obviously use the bins. There were also no cloths in the kitchen for wiping the surfaces. The windows were also very dirty and it made the accommodation feel unclean even though it was very clean.

Positive: Location only Negative: Bed horrible and without duvet cover

Proche du centre - Maisonnette située au début d une impasse donc du dépôt des poubelles par les locaux. Positive: L emplacement est proche du centre seulement situé au début d une impasse si bien que l ensemble des logements occupés par des locaux déplacent leurs poubelles à partir entre 6/8 heures du matin. A noter également deux containers à poubelles situés à proximité car deux épiceries sont implantées pas très loin donc vous êtes réveillés de bonne heure. Autre maison de deux étages - il y a une petite chambrette (6 m2)située face à la porte d entrée au rez de chaussée qui est visible par les passants … au premier étage cuisine / salon et dernier la grande chambre.

Nice apartment brilliant location. Would definitely recommend. Positive: Very clean and tidy. Had most of the things we would want. Towels provided were excellent. Not really much to complain about. Negative: If I am being really picky Would have liked a chest of drawers so that we didn’t have to live out of the case. As we were only there for the weekend it didn’t bother us. Car park space was fine.

Positive: Location and parking (although very tight) Negative: Stairs and no full length mirror. TV didn't work.

Positive: Sehr zentral gelegen. Sauber. Zweckmässig eingerichtet. Bequeme Betten. Sehr rasche und verlässliche Kommunikation mit der Vermieter-Organisation. Eigener Parkplatz. Negative: Als wir angekommen sind hat die Heizung nicht richtig funktioniert (war nicht richtig eingestellt). Auf unsere Aufforderung hin, ist aber am nächsten Morgen verlässlich jemand vorbeigekommen und hat die Einstellung korrigiert.

Positive: We loved the location and that it included a parking spot. Any questions we had were answered quickly. Check-In and Out were very easy. The home is more spacious than it looks on the photos. Negative: Sadly the home was not cleaned well when we arrived. For example some of the sheets and the floor were stained and the kitchen counters were sticky.

The location was great but the property needs a bit of TLC Positive: Location was perfect, right in the middle of everything! Most of the property was clean and tidy! Lots of natural light in the living room. Top floor bedroom was nice. Not much street noise thankfully. Negative: All windows were dirty and needed a clean. Blinds in the windows also needed a clean or replacing (the ones in the downstairs room didn't keep out much light). 2/4 chairs at the table were unusable as the legs were loose or broken. Musty smell as you go up the stairs and in the living room. Tight parking space; if you wished to leave the key in the lockbox rather than risk losing it out and about its a very tight squeeze to keep locking it away.

So convenient for the city centre, yet quiet too. Positive: The central location and how quiet it was too. Bed comfy. Negative: One shower stuck on very hot, more furniture in bed room would have been good.

The apartment was unclean, but hairs in the bed was totally unacceptable. We had to spend a whole day fighting for a refund. At first was told that a refund was impossible. We lost one whole day of our holiday trying to get this company to do the right thing. Never again. What’s even more concerning is AirBNB said I could qualify for a refund as the pictures of someone else’s hairs inside the bed, all over the sheets wasn’t eligible!
