Lovely flat in a great location, beach, pubs and restaurants all close by. Very spacious living area. Great having the small garden for our dog, not many flats have this. Just a few little things would add to this place some oven gloves, a few more coat hangers and a clean of the back windows. Overall we would definitely look to stay again when visiting Saltburn.
Lovely apartment with excellent central location. We visited in winter so didn't need the back yard apart from letting our dog out however this needed tidying up as the bushes on the right were so overgrown and dragging the fence down from neighbouring property. Also the windows outside were very dirty. The small shower head did have mould and mildew on it which the cleaner should have noticed. Kitchen well equipped apart from no oven gloves! Overall had a nice stay, first visit to Saltburn as usually stay in Northumberland but would definitely return.
Beautiful flat, within walking distance of a lovely cafe culture and bars and restaurants. Beach and views amazing! Area reminded us of a little Brighton. Great as we were able to stay with our four dogs. Little court yard out back with parking to rear. The bed was so comfy. A really special find!

Beautiful apartment in a perfect location. parking is available outside on the street and is a short walk from the cliff tops. Having the back yard was a massive benefit with a small dog.
Fabulous apartment for two people and a dog too, brilliant location. Great kitchen and lovely rainfall shower. Small back yard for the dog with a gate which can be kept shut for the pet. We did have an odd incident where the gate had been propped open whithout us realising and the dog escaping. All was ok but we were confused as to how it had been unbolted and left open. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
The flat was great for two people in a good location. Positive: Location was great. Negative: The flat was very nice. There was a very strong smell of coffee and a bad smell from the fridge. The bin in the yard were overflowing and had not been emptied for weeks. The coffee table didn't look like it had been clean.
Positive: location was great ,comfy bed Negative: Unfortunately we didn't find the place very clean which was very disappointing after most of the reviews said how clean it was and there was dog hairs on blue sofa as mentioned in the guest book at the property by previous guests they also mentioned a doggy smell luckily we didn't have to put up with that maybe more checks should be made, this wasn't great as we do pet free as my wife suffers from allergies .Overall, the place is a good size, but we do feel for the money the least you expect is clean accommodation, and when it says pet free for it to be pet free.

Lovely place to stay. Obviously very new with everything you need for a short or long stay. Very clean.
Just what was needed for a Christmas break. Positive: As with other Host and Stay properties, a great standard of cleanliness, fixtures and fittings. Spacious and light living room and kitchen. with everything that you need Did not use the outside space but can see it would be used later in the year. Negative: The bathroom is a little tight on space. Would have liked a physical information file rather than the online link. Wifi was really slow, could not use the TV streaming or email services. No recycling bins either in the flat or outside.
Enjoyable apart from the English weather. Positive: The location was ideal. Negative: The toilet seat was dangerously loose and I reported it on day one. My brother called in to see me on his way home on Day 5 and he fixed it. The lift down to the seafront was out of use awaiting repair following fire damage. Disappointing as my mobility is poor and so unable to access it without having to drive.
Lovely apartment in a perfect location to explore the area - which is beautiful. Very well equipped, really clean and great to have a parking spot and a back yard to let the dog out. Beach is a few minutes away with some great picturesque walks from the doorstep.

Gorgeous house in a gorgeous town. Positive: Home from home Negative: Parking. Got a biggish car, so abit tight to get down the alley, but that's our issue. Loads of parking on the sea front though.
Clear instructions, lovely accommodation. Close to all amenities. Only downfall was the WiFi,at times weak. Apart from that will definitely recommend.

Positive: Lovely flat very modern close to everything, we have stayed many times at different apts and always been happy with them ,we will be back up there again next year and would stay at this one again. Negative: Most other places have left nice little extras and did find this one left no cleaning products either. It's a shame people that have been before do not clean oven trays and such after use

The carpets are filthy and the windows very dirty at the front and the back. Really bad damp smell in bathroom.. Bins haven't been emptied for weeks
The location of the property was perfect, very close proximity to shops, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, sea front and bus stop. The property was also a good size, especially the kitchen. However, there needs to be more storage in the bedroom and the outside area needs some attention (which has been mentioned in other reviews and in the visitors book). The sofa in the lounge wasn’t very comfortable which I appreciate is often the case with a sofa bed. Overall we had a pleasant stay but we were disappointed with the condition of the outside area which was one of the reasons why we chose the property.
Really enjoyed the stay but the venue was a base for travelling around so did not spend too much time there. As with other guests reviews back yard needed some work

Lovely clean flat in a great position a few hundred yards walk to the sea, shops and restaurants. Comfortable bed good shower and nice big towels. Rear garden needs weeding and tidying up as per other comments.
Very nice to stay in. But please do some thing about the outside. Positive: The inside was 5 Star. Well equipped and very comfortable. Negative: The outside seating area was like a rubbish tip. The paving slabs uneven and causing a trip hazard. With weeds growing through at over 1m high and building materials were stacked against the wall . The outside of the windows were filthy. I consider that seating area. NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE and should be removed from your advertising . We deserve a refund having lost part of the facility. When we arrived we entered the property from the rear and found both the bedroom and kitchen windows open and a bunch of keys ,in full view on the kitchen window cill. I was able to reach in and take the keys and open the back door. I was told by one of your staff that the owner looks after the outside. Which clearly is not being tended too. I look forward to your response to this important matter.
9 Pearl St. Positive: Lovely wee town, nice shops, bars and restaurants. 2 minutes and 175 stairs down to the beach, 175 stairs back up too. We really had a wonderful time. Negative: 175 stairs up from the beach, especially after a meal and a few drinks in The Ship Inn. 🤣
The interior of the flat is great and has everything you could need. The location is ideal The garden needs a serious tidy up and the exterior wheelie bins were overflowing which was a shame and why my rating was 4 not 5.

Positive: Would have given the property 5*, but a couple of things let it down. No toiletries in the bathroom, wi-fi hit and miss, back door leading to patio area unlocked upon arrival and patio area could have been given a tidy up. After coming back to the property from a day out, the back gate was widen open as if someone had been into the back garden as the gate had been left propped open. But saying all that, the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, glasses etc. Comfy bed with good pillows. Excellent shower. Living room comfortable and nice place to relax. Excellent location. The property was very clean and tidy.
This was our very first time using Airbnb so was not too sure what to expect or how everything would go but we need not have worried, thanks to host and stay all ran smoothly, where we stayed was just what was required, anytime we communicated with them their response was immediate. The place was just right for us with all that we needed for a short break, in an ideal place just yards from the beach and some fantastic scenery, restaurants and even Sainsbury’s right on our doorstep, all I can say is thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pearl street, the kitchen was well equipped, the place was spotless inside. The back yard could do with weeding, would be a lovely space to sit in, otherwise everything else was spot on.

Modern and well equipped Positive: Very modern, with absolutely everything we could possibly need, including a washing machine and a dishwasher, which were not mentioned in the advert, so a welcome surprise if we had been staying longer. You need to update what facilities you have on your advert. Lovely..... Negative: ....BUT, Curry smell as soon as we walked through the door and strange smell in fridge. Outside bin overflowing, not emptied for weeks, it was hidden behind the shed, we hadn't noticed it until we came to empty the kitchen bin before we left. So pulled it out, so it could be seen from the window 'hoping' Housekeeping would take the hint before the next guests arrived (apparently Thursday is bin day - we would have put it outside the yard up the lane ourselves when we had arrived, if we had noticed it beforehand - we were there Wednesday to Monday). The yard/garden not exactly as pictures as shrubbery has been cut right down which is a shame, as it could be nice to sit out in warmer weather, old rusty barbecue left in yard and a few cigarette ends.
Number 9 Pearl Street was lovely, well placed and very easily accessed. The only let down was the general untidiness of the rear yard. We felt that, with an afternoon’s worth of work and cleaning, it would have merited the same five stars as the rest of the accommodation. Overall, that will not put us off returning to 9 Pearl Street.

Positive: Great location. 5 minute walk down to beach and good choice of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Apartment was comfortable, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Negative: Although it was very clean, there was a very strong, overpowering smell of stale food in the flat. We bought some air-freshener but couldn't get rid of it. Not a huge problem as we were only there for a couple of nights and were out most of the time but it would have been an issue for a longer stay.
Our stay was great, Dale and his team were friendly and helpful, all our queries were answered very promptly. The accommodation was well presented and comfortable.
Would recommend to others and will always return to this property when staying in Saltburn Positive: This is our third trip to this property, it is always spotlessly clean and welcoming. The kitchen is excellent and location 100 yards from sea front and equally to the shops and supermarket. Also nice to have a small courtyard and outside space. We visit friends in Brotton several times in the year and will always if possible book this property. Negative: The only downside of our trip this time, when we arrived the fridge was not working, we reported this straight away to host and stay, however whilst they had spoken to the owner no one could come out until the 6th Dec after we had left the property, luckily the weather was cold so we could keep the milk outside the back door but if it had been in the summer would have been different. Perhaps there should be a call out service for things like this. Other than that our stay was lovely as always

We picked it because it was pet free but we suspected the owner had a dog as there was a photo of one and a bit of doggy smell. As we have allergy to dogs the smell was probably more apparent to us and we did take preventative anti histamine.

A dreamy weekend on the Yorkshire coast. Positive: Everything was clean, confortable. There was a good natural light inside apartment and we can find all we need in the neighborhood. It is easy to find a place to park and you will also have a private parking if your car is not too big. We made incredible memories there and we will probably return. Negative: We struggled a bit with the boiler but our stay was perfect!
A peaceful few days away ruined by Host and Stay - never again. I thought it was odd that on arrival to Saltburn, I still hadn’t received the key lock details… so as we sit there locked out of the accommodation having lunch I call Host and Stay. They tell me I haven’t paid for insurance and won’t get the key to the proper until I do.. sorry what? Apparently hidden in the listing is something about needing accidental damage cover, payable by the guest! No mention when paying the bill in full. We were quoted £25 insurance for our 3 night stay, or alternatively pay a bond of £250 which you might get back 2 weeks later if there’s no damage, minus a £10 admin charge. Scandalous. The accommodation was OK, lacking a number of basic amenities..only one toilet roll, a handful of shower gel, a wobbly toilet seat and a bedroom window that won’t open as there is no key - it was very hot! The house is split into two apartments and being on the ground floor it was loud and paper thin walls.
It was a home from home in an excellent location. High quality furnishings and equipment, with easy access to parking nearby. We will definitely rebook this accommodation, which says it all!!
Fantastic location. We used this spot as a base to travel up the coast to Newcastle. The house is so close to the beach and all amenities. It is very well presented and clean. We loved it. Would highly recommend
Very comfortable - would recommend Positive: This is a ground floor flat with parking space in alley behind. The flat was very clean and tidy with a well stocked kitchen and we were very comfortable. Negative: To access the rear of the building to park, it was necessary to get round to the alley. It was only accessible from one direction, the other being blocked by kegs from a local bar. The other end of the alley was on one occasion blocked by bins blown over by the wind which we had to clear.
Lovely cosy apartment in tranquil area. Would love to return. Positive: The accommodation was in a prime spot close to the train station and close to all amenities and it was extremely peaceful. The property was well equipped and so cosy. The bed was extremely comfortable for a good night's rest. Negative: Nothing to dislike.

A really lovely stay in Saltburn. Really close to the train station and the beach. Everything was within a 5 min waking distance! Really peaceful area and lovely views.
An excellent little house with a great location. Positive: Location and private parking. Quiet, comfortable and very clean. Nice to have a back garden to sit in. Would stay again. Negative: Only the kitchen window could be opened in the house, and given how hot it was when we stayed it wasn't ideal, hence it was a bit stuffy when we 1st arrived. Had issues with the front door lock, very difficult to lock/unlock, as if the lock itself felt like it was about to fail. I did message the owner about this, and they did offer to sort it for us, but given our shortish stay we just used the rear door. It was just to make them aware so they could sort it for future bookings.

Worst stocked air bnb I’ve stayed in. No fairy liquid, or any cleaning products other than on dishwasher tablet. So we couldn’t properly clean up after ourselves which seems counter intuitive. Two tea bags left and no coffee. Milk sachets left l, some which were out of date. If you stay prepare to be mithered by messages by host and stay. However, good location and spotlessly clean. Was just expensive for what you got.
The flat is very spacious and recently refurbished throughout. All the furniture is new and of good quality. The kitchen is large and has all new kitchen units. The flat's location is excellent with Marine Parade at one end of the street and Milton Street with its restaurants and bars at the other. The off-street parking is a bonus in Saltburn. Wish we were able to stay for more days at this property. Maybe next time! Please note that Host & Stay have a policy of charging you a £25 damage insurance or taking a deposit which is refunded sometime after departure (who knows when). The deposit is returned MINUS a £10 'admin fee'. This insurance is described against the property but NOT referenced in the price breakdown contrary to AirBNB's terms. So the price you pay will be +£10 or +£25.

Super, smashing, great!!! Positive: This property far exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival the parking was almost outside the door, but obviously in busier times it may not be so easy. Once we had obtained the key from the key safe we was pleasantly surprised at the size of the accommodation The lounge is a great size and very comfortable with nice warm furnishings and a good size tv although we hardly watched it. The kitchen is a very good size with everything you could possibly need and is absolutely spotless. Behind the kitchen is a patio area which is also a good size and very well kept. Then back inside as you walk towards the bedroom you have a very good sized shower, a toilet and vanity sink unit and the finish in it is top notch. Then you walk into the bedroom and it's also a very good size with the most comfortable bed we have slept on for a long time. This is a really nice, really comfortable and really clean flat /apartment with great access to the sea front, great access to the local shops, pubs and restaurants. Would we visit here again? Definitely!!. Fantastic!! Negative: There was nothing not to like but it would be nice to have a TV in the bedroom, but that's just our personal choice.
