WOW! This place looks even better than the pictures and hits all the high notes. It's a wonderful open space that's perfect for a relaxed, sociable couple, who appreciate a unique modern style. The host is never to busy to answer your endless questions, which is massively appreciated. Warm log fires, oodles of natural light, and it couldn't be more central with just a 3 minutes walk to the market - one of the best markets I've been to in a while.Never underestimate the power of eclectic art, and well selected luxury furnishing to make you feel extra special. Riley's Fish shack is also a credit to the town - a standout place in more ways than one. I rarely have the same escape twice, but I'll be returning to stay right here, and do the very same thing again and again. This place is unique, and for all the right reasons!

A beautiful property that the owners have worked very hard on to decorate and furnish in style. We visit family and friends regularly and Peacock House will definitely be our first choice in future. Very comfortable bed and responsive heating system. There are a number of steps but my wife who normally needs a break after 250 yards of walking managed albeit slowly. Despite being on the route to the Metro and at a weekend we didn't experience any undue noise and the location of the property within walking distance of the sea, bars and restaurants in Tynemouth makes it ideal. Good information provided prior to arrival and the parking permit makes a real difference although try and avoid the spot directly opposite the property under the tree that a seagull with a problem chooses to rest in overnight!!!

Loved our stay at Peacock house. It had all the amenities we were looking for when staying there with our 7 month old baby: washer/dryer, dishwasher, bath etc. Very easy to warm the home and it was very comfortable. The only thing I would say is that there were many more floors and stairs than I was expecting and they are all carpeted and very steep so I don’t think we will stay there again with a baby, but I would recommend it for anyone that doesn’t mind all the rooms on different floors!

Great place to stay. Positive: Excellent location in Tynemouth for bars, beaches and Metro. Plenty of room for 2 people to have a relaxed stay. Well equipped. Negative: Be aware there's lots of stairs.

My partner and I had a brilliant stay at Peacock House. A beautifully designed space with everything you need for a home away from home stay. The bed particularly was very comfortable. Only a few hundred yards walk from the best bits of Tynemouth. Would really recommend Tynemouth market which is just opposite the house.

My wife and I were travelling up for a friend’s wedding and headed up to Tynemouth where the groom is from. We had an amazing time celebrating over the weekend and were so lucky to head back to Peacock House each evening to rest and relax. We absolutely loved the house and could not recommend it enough for any couple staying for whatever occasion. We will be heading back to Tynemouth on holiday and when we do go, we’ll be staying here again. Thanks go to Charlie for excellent communication and helpful instructions

It did the job but I wouldn’t hurry back. Positive: Great location. Well appointed kitchen and very spacious lounge and dining areas. Nice space to have Christmas in, once I had sourced some sofa throws and cozied the place up a bit. Good Sonos music system. Negative: Bedroom pillows were flat and need replacing. Generally a bit style over substance with some DIY needed, eg, door handles came off in your hand on main door to hall and both handles on log burner doors. Sofas uncomfortable, TV really small for the room size and seating area. Dining room chairs too high to fit well beneath table. Also despite having booked it for 17 nights, was still made to pay £30 to check in 2 hours early!!!

A fabulous home from home in lovely Tynemouth Positive: We had a lovely stay at Peacock Hpuse - a really lovely home from home we hosted a lunch on the Saturday with friends in the wonderful well equipped kitchen at the huge kitchen table and popped over to the amazing market at Tynemouth market which was a few footsteps away. We would love to come again as apart from the fabulous standard of the accommodation, the location is perfect for proximity to Newcastle and the coast.

We had a nice stay at Peacock House. The living room is grand but not quite relaxing. Good location close to the metro and beaches. The bed was comfortable. The first few days were quiet. However, there is workshop beneath the property which disturbed us a couple of times in the mornings. It should be noted that there are a number of steps from front door to bedroom and then up to kitchen and living room. We were fine with this but others with mobility concerns ought to be made aware of this. We stayed for a week and felt it was rather shabby treatment that in addition to one bath towel each, only one face/hand towel was provided for both to use. A solitary loo roll was really quite mean we thought, and a second tea towel would have been useful.

Superb stay in gorgeous apartment. Positive: Everything! Loved the decor and its quirkiness. I had to do some work while I was there and colleagues in the Teams meeting commented on the lovely backdrop. We didn’t cook but kitchen was lovely, and ideal for entertaining if planned as part of your stay. Bed very comfortable. Shower powerful. Enjoyed people watching from the living room windows on market day. Location by the beautiful Victorian station was excellent. Two minute stroll into town. Will definitely book this property again. Negative: Nothing

This was one of the most beautiful apartments we've stayed in. The drawing room was extraordinary - it was like being in a miniature stately home! Kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom - especially the bath in the bedroom was a real treat as well.

The house itself is just beautiful. Full of character, stunning art and spacious. Main oven and TV in the bedroom need fixing, but otherwise impeccable. would 100% stay here again.

Superb property in a superb town. Positive: This was our third stay in Peacock House. We love the style of the property and its location which is so close to the centre with its range of shops, bars and restaurants, and to the beautiful Victorian train station from which the trams now run. We will be back again to enjoy the coastal walks and the general vibe.

Good stay, with a few more bits it would’ve been great. Positive: Great location, huge space, stylish and slightly quirky design. Negative: Would’ve been nice to have a few more utensils in the kitchen (peeler, masher etc), plus no cooking oil or logs for the fire, albeit there were firelighters and matches.

Great accommodation in central location Positive: Great standard of accommodation offered. Understand why the property is restricted to two adults as there are locked rooms for private areas of the flat for when owner visits. Multi level period property with decent kitchen including air fryer. Great location in Tynemouth, with resident parking readily available. Negative: Issue with kettle when we arrived and quickly resolved. Provide more than one toilet roll.

I loved the decor and the location. It was minutes walk to the town with lots of cafes and bars. Next to train station for easy travel. And also close to lovely beach. We loved it and will hopefully be back one day for another relaxing break.

One of the nicest AirBnB’s we have stayed at on our travels. Peaceful and private, would recommend to anybody visiting the area. We would without question rebook in the future!

Fantastic stay in a gorgeous property. Positive: This was our second visit to Peacock House. It is a superb property with quirky, characterful furnishings and decor all done to a very high spec. We also love the location right by the attractive Victorian train station with trams to Newcastle in one direction and Whitley Bay in the other, complete with brilliant bar, 'Platform 2' and excellent Italian restaurant, 'Devanti Classico' (literally a 2 minute walk from the property). Could also hardly be more convenient for the lovely town square and beaches/ coastal walks. We will definitely be going back to Peacock House again. Negative: Nothing

Lovely property, great location, additional small touches would have made it perfect! Positive: Beautiful property, really well equipped, and close to the centre of the town and all amenities Negative: Considering how incredibly well equipped the property was it would have been nice to have had some proper coffee for the cafetière, oil for cooking and logs for the wood burner! We also found the property was cold during the day, I realise it's not practical to keep it heated all day but instructions on how to turn the heating up if needed would have been appreciated!

Excellent property well presented, quirky style and clean. Very enjoyable stay great coastal location with plenty of amenities. Only irritation to be informed week before stay that a £25 insurance premium or partially refundable deposit was required. It would have been nice if this had been made very clear at time of booking particularly when rental for property was quite high.

Second stay at a nice property in Tynemouth. Can't fault the location and decor. Please note the damage deposit which has been introduced since our first stay in 2022. You have to check under Additional Rules to find out the amount, as this wasn't communicated by message from the hosts until a few days before check-in.

Peacock House is a great base to visit Tynemouth and surrounding area. Positive: The location was very central in a lovely area. The property was equipped to a high standard. Also, the bed was very comfortable. Having a parking permit was a big bonus. Negative: We can’t think of anything.

We had a lovely stay at Peacock House. It is big enough for four to share, but the other bedrooms are locked and not available. The lounge/dining room area are spacious and grand, rather than cosy and completely relaxed, due to the delicate furniture. Great location, quiet. Had to leave bedroom curtains closed, due to the building behind and people inside.

Excellent accommodation -last minute deposit request unexpected and poorly handled. Positive: Accommodation was fantastic and well resourced. Everything inside really well maintained and felt care had been taken. Great space and decorated individually with some lovely touches. Location great with access to metro really close so could visit Newcastle . Lovely high street. Priory and fantastic beaches in easy walking distance. Part of the coast I'll definitely visit again. Negative: Think the hosts of property need to be aware of how the booking process works for customers as I didn't like fact that got an e-mail saying could cancel without any loss of money THEN 24 hours after ( and week before stay) another email saying had to pay £25 insurance or £250 ( then would get back £240 but processing wouldn't start till 7 days after leaving property) deposit to gain information about how to access. I phoned to say had own insurance in place and person on phone initially seemed not to understand then just repeated I had to pay their insurance before hanging up on me! Poor experience and left doubtful would get this money back. I did but took a fortnight so clearly someone making interest on it. A deposit is fine but needs to be clear and upfront in main booking process not last minute when other options are not available and some may struggle to access the £250 so have to pay the higher cost. A pity as would really like to recommend property to other people ( its superb) and stay again myself but won't while run under this company. It just felt like I was booking under a 'rogue company' particularly after phone experience.

Having never been to Tynemouth before we did not know what to expect, but the area, bars, restaurants are walks all exceeded our expectations. Negative: The weather....but it is the North East of England on a ban holiday :)

Second stay at Peacock House, highly recommend!

Stunning property in a perfect location Positive: Tynemouth is a great little seaside town and a terrific jumping off point for Tyneside and Northumberland. Peacock House is mega-close to the Metro station which connects you to Newcastle, the airport, St James Park, Whitley Bay, etc. You're a 2 minute walk from dozens of places to eat and drink, all of which are a great standard. Peacock House itself is big, quirky and cool. A really memorable place to stay. Negative: My only gripe is that there's a security deposit with a £10 charge for processing it. I've advised Host & Stay who manage the property for the owners that the £10 should get lost in the overall fee so that it's transparent at the point you book with Booking.com. I hope they pay attention.

Great location; a large home; easy parking!

Peacock House is a little gem right in the centre of the village close to all the amenities you could wish for. The property is clean, comfortable (a really great bed!) and well equipped and tastefully decorated. Parking outside the property with the parking permit is a real bonus! Highly recommended property and venue!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Peacock House. It felt like we were staying in a very special place. Extremely grand and impressive. We loved it. It’s in an ideal location and is just like the photographs. The lounge is absolutely magnificent. We would definitely stay again and since leaving every time I see anything in TKMaxx or any shop with a ‘Peacock’ on I feel the need to want to buy it for the beautiful house. We had a really nice time. Thank you.
