Positive: Beautiful house in a great location. Lovely decor, modern & fresh. Cute garden with patio & decking. Good size double bedrooms. A smaller one with bunk beds. Nice bathrooms. Top floor kitchen & living space Good enough for a family of four. Negative: Parking space was super tight for a family car. Lots of steps ,if you have bad knees its not the house for you. Could have been a little cleaner.
Quiet house in a central location Positive: Central location yet still quiet as the bedrooms are on the ground and first floor with living area on the top floor. Bedrooms were spacious for our family's needs. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. Communication with the host was very good. Negative: Nothing - all was good.
Excellent location with car parking space and a secure garden which is super hard to find in a busy place like Whitby. House was exactly as described and as per photos, gorgeous furnishings and spotlessly clean. Fully equipped with all kitchen utensils, cafeteria, coffee machine and hoover, iron, washing maiden and hairdryers etc. Also a washing machine, dishwasher and freezer which is super handy on family breaks. Loved the extra touch of the safety lights on each level. About a 10min walk into Whitby. Perfect for families especially with a dog. We will definitely be booking again.
A great place to stay in Whitby. Positive: A weekend in Whitby with 4adults and 2 children- the location was superb. The accommodation was excellent for our needs. Do not go here if you have any mobility issues as there are lots of stairs. Parking is very tight, but useable. The house is comfortable and quite well equipped. It was clean with nice towels provided.
Great townhouse and very close to town but not too close so that it was noisy. The apartment was lovely and modern whilst still feeling homely. Parking was a bit of a squeeze although they do state that small cars are preferable. There are quite a lot of steps up to the townhouse from the car park space which, if you've got a lot of bags can be quite hard work. The hosts were really responsive throughout the stay which was great. The apartment was just about big enough for us (4 adults and a baby). Would stay here again at such a good price and the addition of a car park space makes it very worth while in Whitby town centre.

Amazing cottage for a stay in whitby Positive: One of the best places we've stayed in Whitby. Excellent location. One parking space then a parking permit for our other car to park close by which was ideal. The cottage itself was great and the garden was ideal when the weather was nice Thursday and Friday. Dog friendly too which is a big plus for us! Negative: This wasn't an issue for us but there are quite a few steps up to the property so just be mindful if you have any mobility issues when booking.
Excellent quality place but access challenging Positive: Super standard of accommodation with 2 bathrooms, comfy beds and excellent kitchen. Good TV with Netflix too. Nice seating area, safe for dogs and young children. Close to town. WiFi excellent. Negative: 63 steps from the car to the top floor kitchen was hard. The parking space and ability to turn or line up was difficult but it did take a large 4x4 OK. Broomfield Terrace is a narrow pain of a road. The details were economical with details of parking availability on Booking.com. It only said free and no reservation required. It wasn't until the joining instructions that it was clear there was only one space but a card system with free parking for 4 days on streets 5 minutes walk away up a steep hill was the best offer. With the size of the house 2 cars coming must be common? Finally, Host and Stay bombard with messages about things local which probably can be researched on Google and are a bit threatening if you don't do things right like overstay the 10am kick out time for example.

Positive: Excellent location, great that it has parking, and the second parking ticket is great if you have more than 1 vehicle. Negative: 3 flights of steps upto the property, slight pain with a pram but didn't mind.
Positive: Ideal property on three levels for a family group with a baby requiring two bathrooms. Facilities were clean and modern. Negative: The steps leading up to the property were quite challenging in terms of carrying luggage and a pram, etc. Parking space was very tight.
Lovely house across the road from a beautiful park and easy walking into Whitby. \nkitchen well equipped with every cooking utensil. Good quality towels and bedding. \nThe living area is compact but was fine for 4 adults, it would be a squeeze for 6 large adults. \nLots of steps so would not be good if you had mobility issues or prams/buggies. \nWe were there over Christmas and the management company left gifts, which was a nice touch.

Beautiful home, tight parking. Positive: The house was beautiful, modern and clean. Negative: The parking space was way too small for our SUV...we initially struggled to find the space and when we did...my husband had to climb across from the drivers seat to the passenger just to exit the car.

Positive: The location of the property is excellent, just a short walk from the centre. The property is spacious and comfortable, over 3 floors. The dedicated parking space and extra parking permit were really helpful, especially as we had two cars and parking in Whitby can be difficult. Negative: All in all, a good stay, however there was a reminder email on the final day to leave the property clean and tidy, which i am always happy to do. What I would mention in regards to this is that there was barely anything provided to help with this. A very small amount of washing up liquid, no dishwasher tablets at all, one cloth and no sponges to wash up with. Add to this the tiny amount of watered down Hand-wash. We had to buy all of the above. I frequently book cottages and have never had an experience like this before. All good putting that aside though.

Road to the car parking space was closed with ongoing construction making access very difficult - builders vans had to move for us to be able to get along the road. We had not been informed of this. Bin store overflowing and smelly. Read the description - lots of steps up to property and then accommodation is over 3 floors.

Very well situated. Walking distance to the town centre and free parking too. Place was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable and plenty of room for 5 adults. We didn't really use the kitchen/ living room but looked like there were plenty utensils and dining wear if you wanted to stay in. Parking space was tight so might not work if you have a large car. VW Tiago was just about fine.

Location of property was perfect for exploring Whitby. Everything within walking distance. App with all information on was useful. There are some manageable steps that lead up to the property. Check-in was easy . Parking was tight but managed to squeeze an SUV in the bay. Generally the property was well presented and had everything needed. Including WiFi and Netflix!! Only very slight gripe is that some areas if the house were dusty.

We loved our stay . We would consider using again but bear in mind the access and parking situation . Positive: The location . Literally 3 minutes walk into town ! There was adequate space for 4 adults and 1 17 year old . It was comfortable and had quality finishes . Other than the things I pointed out it was clean and tidy . Negative: The parking space is small and very very difficult to get into and out of . Couldn’t find the bins . There are around 35 steps to access the property . This should be made very clear on page one . We took grandad with us who had a stroke last year . He is doing amazing and managed it daily but it was very difficult . There are 3 steps into the appartment ( from the outside ) with no handrail at all . I wanted to use the outside space which is great , but , it is absolutely filthy . This has not been cleaned in days / weeks , never mind the night of our arrival . The cushions were stored in a cupboard which was under the stairs . When I opened it the ironing board fell on me causing an injury . The vacumn cleaner was thrown in there , an iron too and various other items had just been “ pushed “ in there . It was dangerous and untidy . The bunk bed bedrooms blinds were thick with dust . It was difficult in the kitchen to store food as there were no food storage cupboards .
Lovely house over 3 stories, shall but perfect for a family, very close to the centre of Whitby and although the parking place is small we could fit a 5008, just. Overall a good place to stay
Good location Positive: Great location , but you need to be fit to manage the stairs. Negative: The parking bay allocated to this property is very tight to get your car into…. Anything bigger than a Fiat 500 and you’re going to struggle.

A beautiful house in a lovely and quiet location. Close to the town centre but far enough away to not hear traffic. The only thing that wasnt ideal was the amount of stairs to get to the accommodation. this may have just been something I overlooked when booking but regardless I would definitely book again.

Me and 5 of my friends stayed for 3 nights in Whitby. The property was lovely and in a great location with a 2 minute walk into the town centre. The kitchen is on the top floor and has a lovely view. We were able to cook easily all the night we were there and there was plenty of space for us all.

We had a lovely stay in Oyster Cottage, which was in a great location. Everything is within easy walking distance. The property was very clean and nicely furnished, the beds were extremely comfortable. Communication with the host was good and instructions very clear. Would recommend but be aware of the steps up to the property.

Positive: Very clean, location good. Bottom floor bed very comfortable. Outdoor space is great. A very nice cottage but not if you struggle with steps! Negative: We didn't realise how many steps there would be to the house. The second floor bed are 2 single beds put together so not as comfy. A bigger sofa, not enough seating space.

Positive: Very clean, spacious, near to the pier (4 mins on foot), quiet and safe. The only disadvantage is that the assigned car park was occupied by another car but the given scratched car allowed us parking at W zone. That's great. ☺️
Lovely property and super close to the action!
The oyster cottage was lovely and we could have really enjoyed our stay, hadn't it been for a drainage problem with the main bathroom. This meant we couldn't use the shower/bath at all and the sink was draining very slowly. We reported this problem straight away and were reassured that someone would come and fix this problem. However, this didn't happen and my messages were met with a standard response wether we had tried certain things to fix it. Very disappointing! We have hardly ever experience any issue with in Airbnb property, and any issues has always been sorted straight away. We wouldn't stay at this place again unfortunately.
Our recent stay at the above, we have the following comments Cleanliness , overall good but we found party balloon under the sofa with lots of dust on the floor a false eye lash under the table in the seating area and in the bed room there was a tin of Hydrodation tables under the bedside table. Communication, very good. Comfort, very good especially the beds we all had a good night's sleep. Facilities, very good our only comment would be perhaps a brolly for the outside seating area as it's a sun trap with no shade from the sun. Value for money. Good but not for the weak or infirm. Positive: It was close to the town centre Negative: It took 60+ steps to get from your car to the living room. Parking was very, very tight and confusing. You would think that flat 8 would use parking space 8, but no, it was number 13, and they didn't tell you that on the paperwork.
We had a lovely stay in Oyster Cottage, it’s a great location. Close to the harbour area and the Cinder Track. Having some outside space was also a bonus, so we could enjoy the rare bank holiday sunshine.
The place was just as described, easy walking distance to the town and very comfortable and clean accommodation. Would recommend and happily stay again.
Excellent location, although lots of stairs. Positive: The location was amazing, so close to the centre of Whitby. The rooms were comfortable, clean and airy. The beds were good and bathrooms a good size. We loved the large window/balcony in the living room with a great view. Communication was good and clear, and easy access to property. Negative: The car parking space wasnt very clear, maybe my own fault as tried to park in number 8, instead of looking for cottage name. The space to park is super tight to try fit in. There was a lot of stairs from the parking space up to the property, then 3 floors up to kitchen with the shopping. We didn't mind the exercise but it's worth keeping it in mind if not 100% fit.

Had a nice stay here, property was clean inside and nicely furnished. Beds really comfy and there is some outside space with seating. Location is easily walkable to harbour and the abbey. House is upside down in layout and kitchen/lounge is on the top floor, there is no storage space in the kitchen, but that was ok for a few days, you might have issues if you stayed longer. There are more than a "few" steps to the property as advertised, there are quite a lot and if you have mobility issues then dont stay here. The car parking space is also not great, it is very very small, the actual spot is opposite where have bins chained to the wall so trying to swing around to get in without hitting the strangely placed columns is near impossible. Anything bigger than a fiesta and you'll need to find some other parking. Be aware of Host and Stay, frustrating that after payment they demand more money for security deposits or insurance policies and then they keep £10 for an admin fee!
Great location and clean, new feeling interior! Good communication from host company, with very clear communication throughout. Obviously sucks to be stuck with additional external deposit system & additional inexplicable £10 admin fee?! But it all went smoothly and our deposit came back promptly 👍
There were some great aspects of Oyster Cottage. The location is very good - just a few minutes to the harbour and the local shops. There was a parking space (it is very tight but we managed in a Berlingo just about) which I believe is unusual in Whitby. The towels were lovely and the shower was great. We had all we needed. However, it is located up a slope and then another 37 steps to the house (not ‘a few’ as in the ad). When we arrived, there were no hand or tea towels and there was a footprint-type mark on one of the bed sheets. The biggest thing is how close you are to the other Air BNB properties - I’d estimate 7 metres. We regularly made eye contact with those in other houses, including one person in bed. Having said that, I would return as it was well located. We had a comfortable stay, though it might be tight if there are six of you for a period of time.

Positive: Just by the town and beautifully decorated throughout. Modern bathrooms and lovely kitchen/living area. Nice sitting area outside Negative: Car parking. Space provided far too small which resulted in me damaging front bumper. Turning into space provided was a real problem as cars parked in property opposite had their car blocking a turning out of the bay. Slats also missing from the ground floor bed and those remaining kept falling out.
Lovely three level town house close to the centre of Whitby. We very much enjoyed our stay, the property is quite new, well appointed, clean and easy to find. The allocated parking space is quite tricky to get into with a larger car, especially if the resident on the other side of the roadway has their car parked too. Also the property is up a hill, which may prove challenging for the older or less able.
Perfect location 10 out of 10. Ideally placed for everything. House was also comfortable and very well equipped. Downside was the ridiculously tight designated parking space which unfortunately really isn’t fit for purposes unless you have a small car.
Oyster cottage, brilliant! Positive: Location was really good. It's a very clean house.. Equipment in the kitchen was good and lots of it. Comfortable beds with nice white bedding and towels. Outside seating with comfortable cushions was a bonus. Negative: The only downside if any was the number of steps up to the property, which can't be helped and the parking space was a bit tight to get into even with a small car, but still very much appreciated parking space in Whitby
