Had a lovely family weekend in Whitby staying in this apartment. It’s within walking distance to all of Whitby, which was a big help! The lounge area was great, especially after the kids were in bed so we could relax. Would definitely stay here again if we were to come back. Thank you.
Fantastic location on Chubb Hill Road & opposite Pannett Park which is great if you have kids. Lovely clean modern apartment however the shower cubicle is in need some attention. Parking spaces are limited but we managed to get one directly outside which was great. All in all We enjoyed our stay here.
Convenient location and cosy flat. Positive: The flat is easy to access from all different parts of Whitby. Good space and comfortable beds and sofas. Shower was very powerful. Perfect for our family of 4 and dog.
Looked just like the photos, really clean and smart in a lovely building opposite Pannet park (which had a brilliant play park for the kids). My children loved the bunk beds which was one of the reasons we booked this apartment! Manged to get on street parking just outside the door. Less then 10 mins from Trenchers 😋
Positive: Place was in a great location for walking to whitby next to the park for children. Parking was easy just outside. Negative: Hoover was full to the brim. Coffee machine didn't stop and the try was missing, but this is been very picky as it was a lovely apartment. Double bed up against the wall.

Excellent apartment, great location and would stay again. Positive: The apartment was clean, modern and comfortable. It was a lovely property and the location was very good. We found parking outside the property, which was useful when Whitby has issues with parking. It is near a lovely park and would recommend anyone to stay here. It is also pet friendly. Negative: There wasn't extra toilet rolls, which the host apologised for and we couldn't open the balcony doors in the bedroom to let air in. I am sure this can all be fixed and didn't spoil the visit. Also the biscuits were out of date ! All minor issues that can be sorted. Also be aware that the water gets extremely hot in the tap and shower.
Very nice apartment for a family Positive: The location was good. The facilities available were nice. The furnishings were modern and it was spacious. The towel for the dogs paws and the umbrella were very thoughtful. Negative: Nothing was bad. The sofa smelt a little bit sweaty when we arrived. The shower was sticking and hard to turn on and the kitchen tap is loose but these are minor things.
Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable stay Positive: Very spacious and clean. Good location and very helpful and friendly customer service. Negative: The only issue was the shower, it was incredibly stiff to turn on. So much so I had to turn it on for my wife each time she used it. Worth taking a look at :)
Excellent stay. Positive: It was a lovely, clean and comfortable apartment. Had everything you needed and the location was excellent. Negative: Double bed was on the small side but ok for a couple of nights. Was not happy with consistent emails regarding a damage fee. This should be included in the price with Booking.com. Was concerned that I was receiving scam emails.
Positive: Whitby is a Beautiful location. .the apartment has washing machine and dishwasher. Lovely view over to park.not far to walk into town. Negative: Not clean .... kitchen floor was filthy and shower was black with mold . Reported to guest services advised looking into property in Ilfracombe..er I went to Whitby .. please be aware they ask for money for insurance to cover any damage you may cause on top of price quoted This was our 4th time here for my Dad's birthday,last time there was rubbish was left under bed . Not impressed when you pay £60 to have it cleaned .
Lovely accommodation, not so keen on "Host and stay"!! Positive: Lovely apartment, very clean, in a good position Negative: Lovely apartment, not such accommodating "Host and stay" company ! It was a lovely apartment in a good position in Whitby. On street parking was easy, although we were very lucky and I think it could have been more challenging if there wasn't a space outside of the apartment. However, I did find Host and Stays check out policy somewhat unreasonable to be honest. While I completely understand that they need the apartments vacated for the next visitors and this was obviously highlighted when I booked it. The clocks had gone forward the night before we left in the morning and there was absolutely no flexibility around the possibility of staying an extra hour even though we'd lost an hour from the booking. Also the check in wasn't until 4pm which is late in my opinion. We had so many emails from them too, and an email reminding us we needed to check out by 10am otherwise we would be charged as mentioned in the terms and conditions! Not massively appreciated as it came half way through day one of our stay! There was a party of five of us however there was only four chairs available and, I think, only four dinner plates. Also, as noted in numerous reviews the shower was very hard to turn on. I think I would hesitate to use a "host and stay "apartment in the future. Date of experience: 28 March 2025
The apartment was fantastic & the hosts were very proactive with lots of informative and helpful information given prior to our stay. The apartment was lovely and clean and was just as advertised, plus it is in a great location close to the centre and right opposite a lovely park. The only issue we had was parking, as it was only on the roadside and was extremely limited in the spaces available. However the hosts did have information available showing different car parks approx 10 minutes walk away
This is a beautiful and modern apartment. We had come to a wedding at Sneaton Castle and this was perfectly situated. The apartment was warm and welcoming with a modern feel and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Everywhere was clean and was perfect for my family. Will be staying again when we next visit Whitby. Thank you

We found the property was modern and clean. We were a short walk (10 mins) from whitby railway station and harbour. Opposite a lovely park where the whitby museum was located. We were 5 mins away from the cinder track route to Robinhoods bay.(7 miles ) 3 h route which we enjoyed very much. . We found lots of places to eat in whitby and especially enjoyed The Duke of York at the bottom of the Abbey steps. We would not hesitate to book again.

Do not book this apartment Positive: Nothing. It was dirty. It was advertised as having a balcony. The beds were tiny. The apartment was filthy. Big waster of money. Negative: Everything. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE.

Perfect for what we needed. Walkable into town and the Abbey was only another ten-twenty minutes away. Quiet area, nice park across the road to walk through into town. Clean, had the basic amenities needed, nice and comfortable sofa.

Positive: Good apartment. Easy access. Good location Negative: The beds were uncomfortable, old mattresses. Not enough cutlery... Constantly washing up. No bread knife. Towels were just coarse. Would recommend to take your own towels.
2, Pannett apartments was a great find for our family! Comfortable, spacious and great location for wandering down into the town. Would book again should we return to Whitby. ☺️

Positive: Close to centre, absolutely spotlessly clean. Negative: We had an issue with the heating on our stay and couldn't get in touch with owners about it, The apartment was absolutely freezing.
A lovely apartment let down by poor cleaning, maintenance and false promises by the owners agents Positive: Decor and layout Negative: The smell of urine on the bedding of the double bed, the metal door threshold sticking up dangerously, the lack of soap/hand wash, toilet roll holder, towel ring & door hooks in the shower room plus the black mouldy shower tray & tile grouting (mentioned by previous guests which I’d wrongly assumed would have been fixed well before our stay!) and the false promises to drop off a replacement duvet and cover for our 2nd night, fix the threshold, the wasted time in returning to the apartment, so they could access the property and the multiple emails and calls to try to rectify these issues …I’m still waiting on a satisfactory response from Host & Stay-more than a month later!
Lovely 2 night stay in a very central location.
Positive: Very comfortable stay location excellent only problem was the shower it needs updating and grouting quite dirty. Spoils it because the rest of the bathroom was beautiful Negative: Shower needs attention. The metal strip at the front door is coming away and needs repairing as its a trip hazard and very dangerous. Freezer needs defrosting
Cosy apartment, very close to everything, great walk practically on doorstep along the cinder trail No hand soap, t towel, dish cloth foil etc so take own We didn’t have any issues with parking but could imagine it getting tricky in height of season Unfortunately parts of the flat do not match up with some of the descriptions but still a decent place to stop
It was ok… hoped for better! Positive: The apartment is nicely furnished and in a good location. Negative: Unfortunately we had an issue with the building alarm that was going off constantly. Despite reporting it twice to the host it was not sorted out and kept us all awake for the first night. Thankfully after 24+ hours (!) it went off by itself. Needless to say it was not the most pleasent experience for our holiday and the issue just wasn’t treated as urgent. I’d also recommend to make guests stay more comfortable you provide basics like tea and coffee, shower gel etc, this is pretty standard these days. There wasn’t even a cloth to wipe down surfaces or clean cutlery, yet the check out instructions requested to leave things ‘clean and tidy’ - how is this possible when there’s nothing to clean with? I don’t mind buying these things if it were a longer stay but it was only a couple of nights.
Lovely modern flat with excellent location, and easy walking distance to attractions. Positive: Modern flat in easy walking distance to the sea front and attractions. Furnished well including free WiFi and smart TV. Highly recommend, will definitely be back. Negative: Shower was covered in black mould and water didn’t drain properly. The shower handle was a bit stiff to switch on/off but seemed to loosen off. On stripping the beds at the end of the stay, the sheets and mattress covers on both double beds had stains, so better attention to detail when changing the beds is needed.

The same ussues that are repeated over and again in previous reviews are still an issue, and that is really disappointing. The shower.... SO difficult to turn on + off and adjust the temperature...we had to use a towel to get some traction but still difficult. Also, the shower unit itself (alrhough clean) doesn't look great with lots of black all over the grouting. The kitchen tap, again, very difficult to use. We also had an issue that will need sorting before the next guest: the fridge door has to be pressed really hard to close. The ladt person in there before us obviously hadnt shut the door properly and so the freezer box is one big lump of ice and unusable until it has been defrosted. The apartment itself was lovely. Clean and nicely decorated. The large lounge windows were an absolute godsend over this hot weekend too. We had no issues with parking either 👍🏻

Great location!! Easy to walk down to town & beach. Flat was quite compact. Neat & tidy. Spotless surfaces. However, could do with a more thorough clean. Carpets in living area and bedroom were stained. The sofa needed a good hoovering under the seats. Cushions were stained. The kitchen tap seemed to have a limescale issue, making it hard to move. The shower was also hard to get on and keep at a comfortable temperature (so hot, it was unbearable to stay under) Both these issues seem to have been brought up by previous guests, but still remain. The toilet bowl needed a deep clean. No complimentary bits left for guests. Just having a pint of milk in the fridge for tea & coffee would have been a great gesture. Any bits and pieces to use in the kitchen, seemed like those left by previous guests.

Would have been nice apart from the heating Positive: Nice location near park and well presented property Negative: The heating was a nightmare - off when we arrived, then set really low (16) at some points and then crazy high (28) at others. So the first night we were freezing and then because of this and the heat from the windows the flat became a sauna (which no bathroom fab and difficult to open windows didnt help with - top only and no poles). Also not enough room to unpack kitchen stuff

Overall it was a nice and comfortable property. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again when we visit Whitby. Positive: The property was well presented with very nice and modern decors. It has a washing machine and dishwasher which was really handy. Internet connection was good. The property was walking distance to the town. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean. I do like that they have pillow covers under the pillow case. Actually the whole property was clean and tidy. The sitting area was airy and bright and overlooks the park. Surprisingly it was quiet at night despite the road being busy during day time. The only sounds I hear were the sea gulls (lol). We had a great time. Negative: The only thing is that the shower was quite difficult to turn on as the knob was a bit tight. Parking is also limited although we manage to have one.

Bright, apartment in nice location, opposite the park. Positive: Good location, parking all free, found some outside the property most times after being out if not 5 mins around the corner. Bright, airy, modern apartment. Negative: Having to pay £250 deposit and £10 being kept back for admin fee this is very unnecessary and after many years staying away has been the first time of being told to do this. Took 4 days to answer email about the stiff bathroom tap, I hope this is sorted for future users as they said they would as I had noticed on other reviews as well. Not being made aware the carpet was quite heavily stained, let down the accommodation on entering but was clean and the rest of the accommodation was good, bed comfortable, so having said the above I would stay again.
Positive: The apartment was superb, very spacious, clean and comfortable with easy free parking and lovely views opposite the park ...excellent 10/10 Bottle of complementary wine made our experience all the better. I would definitely stay here again ! And intend to re book for later in the year Negative: Host and stay's access arrangements were unclear, we didn't realise we could not gain access to the apartment unless the breakage waver had been paid ...this was lost in a long email of information! And i hadnt noticed the link !! Consequently we were unable to gain access on arrival. I had no problem with paying the waver , but the experience was very stressful, having to make several phone calls on the doorstep to the apartment to gain entry. I suggest payment for breakage waver should be completed on booking , we would be happy to do this 😀 I would definitely book this lovely apartment again 😊 10/10

Positive: The apartment was lovely, clean, tidy, great location I came with a young lady I support who has mental health issues, she totally loved the apartment. Negative: The toilet seat seemed slightly loose, the kitchen tap was stiff to manoeuvre but just little things like that.
Negative: The faucets are just a little bit faulty.
We wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Positive: It was light and airy. Very clean. Negative: Plinth under kitchen units kept coming off.Tap in kitchen was loose. Fridge door didn’t shut properly ( previously mentioned in someone else’s review ) Landlord gas certificate expired a few months ago. Shower was difficult to turn off. Parking was horrendous, no fault of them but we wouldn’t stay again for that reason. Bed in our room was very small and uncomfortable, I slept on the sofa for 2 nights.

Bestens Positive: Die Einrichtung war super, wir fühlten uns sofort willkommen und behaglich. Der Ausblick auf den Park war traumhaft! Alles war sauber und roch gut. Unterkunft war Fußläufig zu City und Strand. Negative: Verkehr war im Wohnzimmer zu hören, Schlafzimmer war aber leise und Schlafen mit offenem Fenster ging auch. Die Dusche ließ sich nur äußerst schwer anstellen.
An enjoyable break in a lovely apartment. Negative: Fridge door didn't close. Clock on wall didn't work. Old rusty baking tray in oven. Too many emails from host company. Having to wait a week to get deposit back.
