Had a fantastic weekend in a very modern house with all the amenities you would need. Dog friendly and an enclosed rest yard that’s secure for them to be left to explore. Will definitely return my only feedback would be that the double bed room felt a like small and would be more suitable to put in the larger room(maybe swap them around) and a small TV in the bedrooms also.

Positive: Location perfect everything near by including shops local beaches Negative: Front and rear gates need repairing especially rear gate as not secure for a dog to go out in as wouldnt close

Home sweet home ! Positive: Une maison parfaite et cosy pour un séjour à Newbiggin by the Sea ! Nous y avons passé 1 semaine en famille avec notre chien et n'avons manqué de rien : bien décorée et confortable, petite cour fermée, chien accepté, stationnement facile devant la maison, TV et wifi, plage magnifique à 100 mètres, superbes balades pour tous, un petit Morisson à 2 pas qui fait aussi bureau de poste.. Nous avons adoré et en garderons un super souvenir. Nous ferons de nouveau appel à Host & Stay pour de futurs sejours en Angleterre. Je recommande sans réserve ! Negative: Absolument rien !

The owners really bent over backwards to help & had Excellent communication with owners who were so Helpful . Property was amazing and just as pictured and we visited with our dog who loved the sea front. Local Pubs welcome dogs. Would 💯 %recommend this property

Positive: Location Fantastic comfortable beds Well eqipped Easy parking Negative: My husband & I slept in single beds as the double was in the smaller room and right next to the outer wall. Back windows extremely dirty, an egg had been thrown at the landing window. Must have been a while ago, looked disgusting.

Great location, very close to beach. Negative: Bathroom tap was powerful which meant we had to supervise use by children to prevent a mess. Number of reminders on leaving time was excessive.

This property really is as immaculate as it looks on the photos! A fantastic and very comfortable home for a family break. The price was good value and we enjoyed our stay. The surrounding area leaves a bit to be desired and we had to do quite a bit of driving to get from place to place but we had fun and Northumberland is beautiful. The host has obviously been stung before by guests not respecting the property/the check-out time so we had a lot of reminders, automated I think, which felt a bit like a telling off, on top of a big deposit/£25 fee as insurance for the stay. The house itself was well-equipped though and extremely comfortable (the bedrooms are gorgeous). All in all, a lovely stay!

Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden und kommen gern wieder nach Newbiggin-by-the-sea. Positive: Das Haus ist gut eingerichtet, es gab weitgehend was wir brauchten. Die Lage nah an der Bucht von Newbiggin-by-the-sea ist super, nach 10 Minuten Gehweg steht man im Wasser. Auch der kleine Supermarkt an der Ecke ist toll für kleine Einkäufe - bei unserer Ankunft am Sonntag haben wir uns sehr gefreut, dass sie selbst da bis 22 Uhr aufhatten. Für auf dem Land fanden wir die Busanbindung in Ordnung. Die Menschen sind nett und unkompliziert, in den lokalen Dialekt muss man sich etwas reinhören. Negative: Als wir kamen, waren die Böden teilweise noch nass vom Putzen, das Sofa roch nach nassem Hund (das blieb leider auch so), in einem Abstellraum lag die schmutzige Bettwäsche der Vormieter und müffelte vor sich hin. Mit dem WLAN hatten wir wie viele andere vor uns Probleme. Schnell stellte sich heraus, dass es gar keinen Internetanschluss (Glasfaser) gab und der rot blinkende Router eher so Deko war. Host&Stay hat zwar immer nett auf Anfragen reagiert, das dann aber nur an die Hausbesitzer weitergegeben, die sich nie gemeldet haben. Schade.

Positive: It was very comfortable and perfect for us. We did manage to park outside some days but parking in the free car park was not far and very easy anyway

We chose this property for its excellent location and modern, minimal interior, both of which we really liked. However, the cleanliness did not match the high ratings in previous reviews, which was disappointing. On arrival, the property didn’t feel fresh, and several areas appeared to have been overlooked. The glass on the kitchen door hadn’t been properly cleaned, there were cobwebs behind the sink in the bathroom and we found multiple hairs in the bathroom that weren’t ours. Both the kitchen and bathroom needed a more thorough clean, and there the kitchen window inside and out. The outside areas also lacked upkeep, with weeds and an overfilled cigarette bin, There were a couple of issues that have been mentioned in earlier reviews, including dirty windows and the Wi-Fi code being difficult to access, suggesting these points haven’t been addressed over time. The beds were also mentioned in earlier reviews which still need to be addressed

Very nice property. Positive: The minimalistic decor,the local shop a 2 minute walk away,the beds(were soft,but surprisingly comfortable)felt homely. Negative: The 'hidden' drawer where the cutlery was stored,the impossible wifi code,tried every way but gave up and the low ceiling coming downstairs,fine for me but my husband who is 6'2 hit his head badly(he only did it once though!)

Positive: Location, value for money, Negative: No tv in bedrooms. Toilet downstairs. Didn't spoil our stay though. Would definitely come back/ recommend.

Lovely stay in Newbiggin. Positive: Very spacious little house. Good location. Morrisons 30 seconds away. Beds are very soft, kitchen is a lovely size. Garden gets some sun during the day, so was able to get some washing dried. Negative: Thought there could have been a few more little bits to make it feel more homely. We were only left 1 toilet roll, im sure we could have contacted for more, but we just went and bought some for ease. More tea bags too would have been great, and a small milk instead of the UHT little cartons. This is all picky stuff and DID NOT ruin our stay. Would have maybe liked a small chest of drawers in one of the rooms to keep smaller items of clothes like socks and underwear.

Wonderful little house , comfy beds and everything you need . So close to the beach which was great and convenient. Garden could do with a little more adding to it but overall a great stay .

Dale was a great host. We couldn't find something at the start, and Dale was straight on it and let us know where it was in the house. We would stay again.

Dale was so helpful and responded immediately with any enquiry or query. The house itself was clean and perfectly located within walking distance to the stunning beach and shops and high street. Very lovely location. Easy parking outside property with big car park at the bottom of the street. The online guidebook was brilliant and so helpful too. We would come back and stay here again.

Positive: It was comfortable and very clean. Negative: We couldn’t find the cutlery and had to ring to find out where it was. It was in a ‘secret drawer’ and for those people who have never see a drawer like this, it needs to be pointed out.

Absolutely beautiful and stunningly clean, everything we needed and in a beautiful spot.

The road that the property is on is a bit tired and typical of many ex-mining communities. However, inside of the property is light, well maintained, comfortable and matches up to the photographs online. We had a comfortable stay and everything we required was provided. The house is within a few minutes walk of the beach, which is great for a peaceful early morning stroll. We found Newbiggins by the Sea to be a good base for exploring many beautiful and historically interesting places in Northumberland, including Holy Island and Bamburgh, it is also an easy drive into Newcastle.

Thanks for a lovely stay. North Shore cottage was a great base for our day trips to Newcastle, Lindisfarne and Alnwick. Nicely decorated, clean spacious, quiet and everything we needed.
