The perfect base for our short stay exploring Hadrian's Wall, we would love to return. Positive: Spacious comfortable cottage with every amenity. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, lovely enclosed garden. The children's room with books was much appreciated, we're only sorry we didn't have time to use the study for our own reading!!! Negative: The black toilet seat!!
This was a beautiful house, in a wonderful location. Everything in the house was of a high spec and incredibly well kept. The beds were really comfortable, all of the children commented on this, the garden was enclosed and sunny. Host and Stay provided a lot of information which we needed, although it would have been useful to know about the local footpaths, as there are many that start near the house. We met the owner, who was absolutely lovely and very helpful. This is possibly one of the best Air BnB's which we have stayed in.
Stayed in this lovely cottage for 3 nights over New Year. The house was warm and welcoming, with even the Christmas tree lights on. We loved the style and decor, bedrooms and bed linen etc all lovely. Very well equipped kitchen, literally thought of everything, welcome basket etc all lovely touches. Lovely quiet village with a few short walks and local pub. Easy reach of Hexham and Corbridge. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!
Great place to stay, the place was clean, comfy beds, good sized bedrooms and comfy beds. Kitchen had quality appliances. Living room was spacious and had a good TV. The local area was nice for walks and had a pub close by. We were a short drive to Hexham and other Attractions. Ideally located for several of the Hadrian's wall attractions. We really enjoyed our stay
Our family stay in North Cottage provided a serene ending to our travels in the N of England. The cottage is beautifully restored with everything needed for modern luxury. The location in the historic landscape is a great base for exploring, we especially enjoyed evening strolls and coffee in the garden. Clean and cosy throughout. We loved the welcome pack and fresh flowers! The perfect place to unwind and relax.
Super clean and comfortable, we loved our stay. Lovely walks from the house and a great base to explore stunning Northumberland. Garden was a little oasis in the mornings! Lots of helpful information and guides provided too. Would highly recommend a stay here!
The property was excellent and Jane and Andrew very attentive. Positive: Tastefully laid out and decorated. Exceptionally comfortable and well-equipped. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Wonderful quiet, scenic location with lots to see and lovely countryside. Friendly attentive hosts. Negative: Nothing about the property. The booking was made nearly a year in advance because we had seen it, yet we were asked by Host & Stay to pay the full amount. We have never experienced that before. We found Host & Stay’s messages quite unfriendly after a long period of silence. The offer of a pop-up chef was repeated, but it’s not something we would appreciate! No directions given to find the property - fortunately we knew where it was!
