Disappointed we had to leave early due to my husband being unwell and needing to get to his doctor.

A great place - but beware of the need to set up a damage deposit or waiver policy. Positive: A great little place for a couple, and a great base for exploring Northumberland. Negative: The need to set up a separate damage deposit or waiver policy was a real pain. Why not just include that risk in the basic price on Booking.com? It took a lot of admin time to set up - and still hasn’t been refunded two weeks after our stay. A serious black mark on what was otherwise a great place to stay.

Comfortable, quiet, idea for a getaway. Positive: Lovely cottage ideal for 2, very quiet with parking. Negative: Nothing, the road was very narrow but it was a quiet and secluded spot.

Very good but wouldn't re book this cottage. Positive: Well maintained and good value for money. In excellent location for all Northumberland's beauty spots. Negative: However we found the bed and the settee / chairs quite uncomfortable. The seating is the modern style of very deep front to back cushions which doesn't the leg length of most people. Also, I broke one of my golden rules which is never book a cottage with a WC only on the ground floor.

Great Break in Norrhumberland Positive: Location in the countryside but near to beaches peaceful, wonderful for wildlife especially birds. Cottage Immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Large very comfy double bed. Fabulous balcony for sitting out, relaxing, reading, and enjoying the birdsong. Negative: Small inconvenience at night as elderly couple, that shower room and toilet was downstairs.

Perfect to recharge your batteries Positive: Comfortable settees and large bed. The towels are lovely and fluffy. The house was lovely and warm.Lots of parking next to the accommodation. The cottage is set in an area with no other buildings around so lovely and quiet. Waking up to the birds was lovely. We watched the birds in the woodland opposite the house. Very near Bamburgh but slightly too far to walk. Negative: Plastic flowers - totally unnecessary. We bought our own daffodils and hid all the fake ones.

Daisy cottage is ideally located for visiting Seahouses, the inner farne islands and Bamburgh Castle. There isn’t any restaurants or pubs within reasonable walking distance but it’s very peaceful and away from busy roads. We did travel further than local attractions and visited Vindolanda, Hadrian’s wall and The Sycamore Gap. The road to the property is single lane with passing places but because we were out of season this wasn’t an issue. Very warm and comfortable with all the amenities needed for a nice stay. The bathroom is downstairs and the only bedroom upstairs but again, not a problem.

Great place to stay, easy access Bamburgh, Seahouses and a shot trek to the Scottish border. Nearest shops we found were in Seahouses. Good area to cycle, very quiet roads. The cottage was clean, in good condition and felt cosy. I would stay there in the future.

Lovely cottage and beautiful surroundings, spoilt by Host & Stay demands Positive: Great location, luxurious cottage Negative: I was highly irritated by the demand for a ‘damage waiver’ fee of £25, sent after paying in full for the booking. I interpreted this as an optional insurance and did not respond only to find the key code I had been sent did not work as a result. Luckily, we arrived at the cottage during office hours and was able to sort it out by phone; had we arrived later, we would have had nowhere to spend the night. For the sake of transparency, all fees should be included in the initial booking to avoid guests feeling they are victims of extortion! And please note: no damage was done.

Almost perfect Positive: Very comfortable living area and bedroom, exceptionally clean. A good location albeit out of the way and approaching lane a problem if a vehicle is coming the other way. Negative: The bedroom is upstairs and tje bathroom downstairs which isnt a problem unless you need the toilet in the night. The bedroom is so big with lots of wasted space there is room for a shower room with toilet upstairs.

Positive: Good location near Bamburgh. Very quiet. Great to have a lobby/coat/boot room as an entrance. Well decorated throughout. Lovely, large bedroom. Very clean throughout. Good communication about getting access to the property. Negative: All the kitchen knives were blunt and in need of sharpening.

Negative: The shower was little better than a drip

Peaceful stay. Handy for bamburgh. Needed a car though to get anywhere. Positive: Nice quiet area Negative: The stairs were steep.. it was ashame the bedroom didn’t have a on suite.. it was big enough. The decking was in a poor condition. House keeping could have been better.

Very enjoyable stay in a lovely cottage that is perfect for a couple looking to explore the area Positive: A lovely stone cottage in a quiet rural location, yet still just a few minutes from Bamburgh and the A1.

It was OK but could have been so much better.. cottage needed updating. Negative: Downstairs bathroom. Veranda was dirty and all the flower pots were full of weeds. Actually all the pots in the whole location were full of weeds. No flowers at all. Looked dreadful.

Good size for two and we'll equipped Positive: Decent size. Massive bedroom - maybe big enough to make it ensuite. Solid old cottage. Good facilities. Heated floor in shower room. Decking area to sit out. Negative: Minor things but there was no kitchen roll or cloth/ scourer in the property so we had to purchase these whilst out so we could clean dishes etc.

Daisy Cottage was perfect for our visit to Farne. The location was quiet and we especially enjoyed the woods and song birds from the patio. Would definitely come again.

Positive: Location good but down a single track unmade road. Seating deck sheltered an sunny but looked onto trees. It was very clean and nicely furnished. There is good food shopping in Seahouses when you track it down. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Negative: The seating deck was small and very overlooked. Only a few feet from the same seating on either side. The cottage was in a row of three so no privacy. The kitchen window overlooked the parking area. The staircase was steep and the bathroom downstairs with no water upstairs. Far from ideal in the middle of the night. Kitchen spotless but obvious things missing e.g. no hand towel and nothing to wash dishes with except 1 J cloth. I bought a pan scrubber and kitchen towels. No information about local facilities. The only food shopping is in Seahouses. Please remember that not everyone can access a QR code.

Overall a very happy stay Positive: Mainly the location was ideal Negative: The shower was poor in that the water pressure was low low so washing your hair was next to impossible

This quiet, secluded cottage was ideal for our relaxing stay.

Positive: It was very spacious. Cosy living room and very well equipped kitchen. Just a few minutes drive away from Seahouses and Bamburgh. Negative: There could be a sponge and kitchen towel in the kitchen.

Peaceful, great weather and comfortable. Positive: Gorgeous cottage. Very comfortable bed. Great shower. Beautiful surroundings. Very peaceful base for exploring Northumberland. Negative: We would've appreciated another hand towel as only one was provided.

Ok for our purposes in visiting Bamburgh and Lindisfarne. Positive: Outside balcony area - although we couldn't use it because of bad weather. Negative: Door keys difficult to use. Poorly equipped kitchen. Just the minimum eg more teaspoons would be good. A scourer. Hand towel (we used the one from the bathroom) Tissue box in bedroom but no tissues supplied. Only 1 toilet roll. Poor lighting in lounge for reading. Just little things but overall detracted from the experience.

Positive: We were very impressed with the management service , and swift replies to our correspondence. The Cottage was really lovely, well equipped, extremely comfortable, clean, and cosy. Having a washing machine and dryer available was a big bonus. The beautiful coastline, and countryside around the property was an easy drive in all directions. We enjoyed a couple of meals in the Apple Inn, which was quite close by.

If the bathroom had been en-suite, it would have been perfect. Positive: Location Negative: No en suite bathroom. Had to go downstairs Could have done with one more side table by the armchair

Warm, comfortable and remote cottage for a perfect getaway. Positive: Property was a very homely and well equipped cottage. Very remote location which suited us well. Negative: Shower wasnt good as the water pressure was barely a trickle. Freezer box was packed with ice and we couldnt open the door.

Very enjoyable and relaxing.just tarnished by the oven not working so we couldn’t cook anything. We reported it early t Positive: Beautifully decorated and spacious. Very clean and tidy. Negative: The oven didn’t work. Only 5 satchels of coffee. No curtain over the front door which you have to pass at night to get to the bathroom.

A relaxing and peaceful stay in comfortable accommodation. Positive: The property was comfortable, clean and well equipped. We had a problem with the shower but it was easy to contact the host and report this and the shower was very rapidly attended to. The location was quiet and we loved it. Negative: Nothing springs to mind.

Lovely base for a stay in the region

Great little cottage Positive: This beautifully presented cottage was in a really quiet location only a short drive from Bamburgh. It was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities you could wish for.

A peaceful break away from the crowds. Positive: Although two miles from Bamburgh village, I got to really appreciate the tranquility of the rural surroundings - away from the school holiday crowds, yet within striking distance (by car) of many of the key sights of Northumberland. I'd recommend a morning or evening walk along the local lanes.

Really enjoyed it and will go again… Positive: Enjoyed our stay. Only issue was no outside furniture for patio. Sure this would be available if we asked but would rather it was just there. Maybe owner thought it was too early in year to sit outside. We had unseasonably good weather so can understand…

Well appointed accommodation in a quiet country setting. The rooms feel spacious and everything worked. The WiFi is unreliable - as mentioned. We found our way around for food, eatingat The Apple Inn was a great experience so we wnt twice. The only supermarket in the vicinity is the Co-op in Belfield. The milk in the fridge when we arrived was very much appreciated. The site had a power cut due to the high winds but Heather at Stay was very helpful and it was restored very quickly. She also looked up restaurant information for us. We have had a great stay.

Positive: Beautifully furnished cottage in a pretty rural setting. Negative: Reported the oven as it made a very loud unusual noise while it was on which I was quite concerned about.

Fabulous place Positive: Beautiful cottage. We felt at home there right away. Spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfy bed, huge bedroom great shower etc. Nice and remote, so perfectly quiet even with adjoining cottages either side . Negative: Very little.....and now I'm really 'nit-picking'. WiFi was a pain, but we were warned about this and that's what it is. TV channels were variable as well, but this might have been as above.. Perhaps a clock in the bedroom would be a nice addition.

Cozy cottage stay Positive: Loved the peaceful location. Lounge was really cozy. Very well equipped kitchen. Bedroom great size for a cottage. Immaculately clean. Negative: There was nothing to dislike.

Positive: Clean comfortable cottage. Negative: The description said the kitchen had a washing machine, dryer, and a dishwasher. There were none of these, but there was a communal washing machine and dryer in a shed outside. No sign of a dishwasher anywhere.

4 night stay a daisy cottage Positive: We stayed 4 enjoyable nights at daisy cottage the cottage was clean comfortable and well maintained. Negative: Daisy cottage was a little to rural for us although the peacefulness was nice we were a little to far away from anything to be able to walk anywhere.

Very peaceful Positive: Ok more remote than expected Negative: Provide knives which cut properly and more kitchen equipment for cooking. Recycling info inc a caddie for food recycling.. Access road is very narrow and would be better used if verges were cut. This limited out ease of access..reversing quite a distance to allow cars to pass.

Relaxing, comfortable stay. The cottage was well situated for all the great things to do Positive: We appreciated the tea, coffee sugar and milk there on arrival. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Our bathroom was cosy and well planned. The towels were lovely as were the robes you provided. We knew the wi-fi would be intermittent from your information but it wasn't too bad. Negative: All of it was great. Many thanks.

Cottage met expectations and communication good Positive: Clean and comfortable Negative: Toilet downstairs but I did know that when booking. Also parking was awkward as there didn’t seem to be enough room

Cosy but not clean Positive: The location was excellent for getting to the places we wanted. Place had most things we needed. The place was comfortable but in need to be cleaned properly. Negative: We found the kitchen was dirty, grease on cooker hood had not been cleaned in a while, dirty cups in the cupboard, not washed. The kitchen had not had a good enough clean at all, which was very poor knowing guests were staying. I've held back from completing the review due to holding deposit charges. You have to pay once you confirm your booking. Do watch and read everything. This was not returned to me after 21 days of checking out despite saying it takes 14 days, which is still a ridiculous amount of time to keep an extra £250! So, as I said, read the extras. The cost of the stay was a reasonable amount.

Comfortable stay. We found the roads in a little challenging - not used to narrow country lanes. Positive: Quiet, scenic location, comfortable, spotlessly clean, lovely historic building. Negative: No ensuite for upstairs bedroom. Poor wifi.

Clean and warm although bedroom heater did not work but we were warm enough at night. Negative: Bedroom heater didn’t work but we managed to keep warm

Our first stay near the wonderful Northumberland coast and we hope it will not be our last. We would happily stay at this cottage again.

Very enjoyable week in a very comfortable cottage. Positive: Very clean,warm and cosy.Lots of hot water! Bed was very comfortable. Lovely little balcony which got the afternoon sun. Negative: Would have liked an extra toilet upstairs, maybe off the bedroom.

A peaceful location and a superb cottage just perfect for re-charging your batteries. Positive: Location superb. Very quiet and peaceful. Cottage was absolutely lovely. Exceptionally clean and with all kitchen equipment in top condition. Luxurious bathroom and a large comfortable bedroom with super comfy bed. Stairs a little steep and not perhaps suitable for elderly or disabled . Negative: Nothing.

We waited a while but then I tried to telephone but couldn't get through. I then sent a message. I did get a reply quickly thankfully. Also, the password for the Internet wouldn't work so it was 2 days before I could get Wifi
