Great location, nice and clean however we had a few issues. Window in the kitchen would not fully close, top part would not stay up so cold draft as it was winter. Whenever the hot tap was run anywhere in the property including a shower the tap in the 1st level bathroom would vibrate very loudly to the point it would wake up the kids, even went off in the middle of the night. only way to stop this would be to fiddle with it until it stopped. 2nd level ensuite tap was very loose on the sink. No parking permit as promised, did ask the host but never came back to us regarding this.

Perfect situation for restaurants and beach. Disappointed in downstairs living area particularly seating would be very cramped particularly If seven people were staying there(Which is advertised). run out of toilet rolls which were quite thin and cheap Bedrooms and bathrooms very nice however bit noisy in bathroom (son thought an airlock in pipes) and sink didn’t drain away very quickly However, most worrying was the access to the property up a fire escape steps which when going out or in in the dark were dangerous as pitch black definitely needs some lighting. Hope these comments are helpful as we really enjoyed our stay

Great location,everything you need to have a great stay.Can definitely recommend Positive: The position…it was private.there was everything that you needed in the house to makee your stay comfortable Negative: Great family accommodation,but not child friendly if you have a buggy or pram as the accommodation is above a restaurant and there are 2 flights of steel stairs to carry the buggy up.

Great Northumberland trip Property was close to all amenities and great for. 7 people family stay with dogsOnly criticism was it would benefit from more cleaning cloths, tea towels paper towels toilet paper and bin bags. On the whole though we were very pleased with the accomodation

Was exactly what we needed and I would recommend! Positive: Great location, nice layout, responsive host and easy to access. Their cleaner also found my niece’s bracelet that got lost in the flat!

Positive: Die Wohnung lag sehr zentral und man konnte gut aufs Auto verzichten ,da gute Bus und Bahnverbindung. Negative: Wir hatten die ersten paar Tage Probleme mit der Aussentür zur Straße hin . Wir kamen mit dem code rein aber konnten die Tür nicht mehr von innen öffnen .Zum Glück war mein Sohn noch draußen um mit dem Code zu öffnen und wir mussten den Schliessmechanismus zukleben um die Wohnung zu verlassen. Damit hatten wir viel Zeit verschwendet. Nach dem Wochenende hat man erst auf unsere Beschwerde reagiert.

Stayed here with my family for a week, to be closer to my Dad (who had dementia). The place was exactly as described and a wonderful location for the lovely town centre (I use this term loosely! It’s a single street! But filled with great cafes, pubs and cute shops!) We had a great time and would highly recommend! The only thing I would suggest other bookers take note of is that this is not ideal for the elderly (perfect for the young tho!), as there are a lot of stairs, and that the restaurant below does play music, which can be heard sometimes but it’s not too obtrusive. So not a reason not to book, just depends what you’re looking for!

Clean, comfortable, chic apartment in central Tynemouth Lovely stay in Tynemouth. Beautiful apartment. We particularly wanted a place with two bathrooms so my Mum could have her own space. Lovely, well stocked kitchen with everything you need. Decor is stylish and contemporary. Comfortable beds, bedding and fluffy towels. We were aware the space was above a restaurant, but the music/noise didn't bother us and it closed by 10pm. We were visiting family so it was great to have a clean, comfortable space to sleep and relax. Perfect location for Tynemouth just near Front Street.

Great place to stay. Good commune area, great for hosting. Easy access to the local town and beach. 3 spacious rooms ideal for all our party.

I stayed here with 6 friends. There are a fair few steps leading up to the place. But once inside we were pleasantly surprised. The place was great. it had excellent cooking facilities, a large fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The corner sofa was plush. The 1st floor had a double bedroom and a bedroom for 3 which had a double bed and a single bunk above. There was also a bathroom with a toilet, sink & bath with an overhead shower. The next floor had a double bedroom and a bathroom with a toilet, sink & walk in shower. ALL throughout was exceptionally clean. There is even a parking permit allowing off street parking. But the location makes this place even better. It's just around the corner from a high street full of bars, cafés and gift shops. An absolute must place to stay for your trip to Tynemouth.

Nice apartment close to metro station, beach and shops. Positive: A lovely well kept apartment, cosy and warm and perfect for the middle of January. We had everything we needed and the communication from the host was good. It was great having two bathrooms. We found some board games in a chest in the lounge which we had a lot of fun playing. Negative: The communal space was limited but it was fine for the four of us. The lounge lighting was quite bright, it would have been nice to have had some softer lighting or a lamp.

Really great stay here. Perfect location and lots of space for a weekend with friends. Very well appointed and comfortable. Well cleaned and managed. Would highly recommend. Great communication and service as usual from Host and Stay.

The house is beautiful, all very fresh and new, and everything functioning perfectly. For 7 friends it was great. Plenty of bedroom space - perhaps would've liked one more bathroom/toilet but it was fine. Living space was lovely, maybe would've liked slightly bigger for so many people, but it was good. Location is perfect, super close to the beach, high street and train station. Overall a perfect stay and we would come back. The only negative was the late check in time and early check out time (4pm and 10am). We would've been much more comfortable even just an hour extra each way.

Number 33 is an excellent base for touring the Northeast coast. It is well equipped and comfortable, we had a problem with a squeaky bed and the host was helpful and dealt with our request promptly. The property is central in Tynemouth, easy walk to the beaches. Lots of good restaurants and café shops. Best fish and chips at Longsands, Riley’s fish shack is a must.

Cracking place for the couple of days we spent there with everything you need to get you started, nice character to the building, clean and tidy!! The only little thing I would pull up on is the parking isn’t overly clear as we went in our Ford transit as we had a lot of supplies for a wedding and the parking is down a back ally but once you work out the parking zone it’s fine. We will book again when we’re back up seeing our friend

Great stay in a central location. We really enjoyed our stay here, would definitely stay again. Perfect for our girls trip.

excellent stay for finishing the coast to coast cycle

We stayed on 10th - 12th March for my mums birthday and had a fabulous time. Host & Stay responded to our queries very quickly, even late at night. The house was in a prime spot in Tynemouth, just minutes away from the main centre with shops and restaurants and from the beach. Inside it was pristine and the decor was lovely - especially the kitchen/lounge area! I would recommend reading the instructions on ‘finding the property first’ as it is above a restaurant and you have to enter down a wide alley way just of the Main Street. You also have to go up a metal stairway so may not be suitable for prams/wheelchair users but this did not cause a problem for us. I would just say don’t let first impressions put you off as the whole stay was great and we could have definitely stayed longer. We will be back again :) thank you.

Clean and tidy and looked exactly as the pictures and description. Host communicated clearly. Location was great although as some other reviewers have mentioned there is some noise from the restaurant downstairs. It is not loud or late though and couldn’t be heard in the bedrooms. Some noise from the hot water pump. A few tiny improvements would have made it perfect for us; a corkscrew, hand soap in the bathrooms and larger towels. But a great stay in a lovely place. Thanks!

Excellent location. on the whole a good stay & clean. Place was smaller than expected. Very little toilet paper provided. No dishwasher tablets. Couple of radiators wouldn't work. Plumbing very noisey when the hot water taps were in use. Quite a lot of noise from the restaurant/cafe below. These are only small problems but felt needed to be pointed out.

Great instructions to find & access the property. spacious property, very well equipped exactly as described. felt very safe & secure location is fantastic, parking permit a great addition. communication was immediate & helpful.

Stayed many times in tynemouth, so already knew of the flats central location. Warm and cosy flat, great main bedrooms , good to have two bathrooms. Please note that it could be tricky with very young children or elderly due to the external stairs. We ate out each night, so only used the kitchen for snacks, tea and coffee. Very comfortable stay for three adults - would stay again . What not, to love, about tynemouth, we loved the sauna and dip on the Sunday, great beach walks, lovely food, especially at Riley’s

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. There are lots of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby and the beautiful coastline is a 10 minute walk.

Good location let down by very poor inclusions and and servicing. Positive: Good location. Negative: Equipment was minimal In the kitchen, listed inclusions not provided in kitchen or bathrooms. No tablets for dishwasher, nor sachet for washing machine and clothes dryer inoperative. Phone call to maintenance was unsuccessful in resolving our issues.

Not just an apartment above a restaurant but a really warm, comfortable well-fitted out, clean, well designesd property. Access to the 4 levels is by easily managed steps which the oldies in our party tackled with ease. Not always the case with lots of modified old properties. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Lovely house- great location. 5 min walk from the beach and shops and restaurants on the doorstep. Perfect for a weekend away in lovely Tynemouth.

Lovely stay at this property - ideal location right in the centre of Tynemouth and easy to walk to the high street and seafront. Living area downstairs was slightly smaller than we had imagined from the pictures but was still a lovely, clean, modern house.

Great location, just around the corner to front street with all the shops, restaurants and pubs. Although we only used the kettle and toaster, there was a well equipped kitchen with everything needed to cook a full meal. Great having 2 bathrooms. Free parking pass was a bonus, we were made aware by the host that the permitted parking area was a short walk to the apartment. All in all a pleasent stay and we would recommend the apartment and hope to return at some point in the furture.

Good location with good facilities. Positive: The location was great, smaller than expected but comfortable. Negative: Limited essentials in kitchen, some music from bar/ restaurant downstairs. Unexpected insurance cost after booking that wasn’t included in up front costs.

Positive: Very centrally located for anything in tynemouth. Negative: Clean and comfortable

Overall a really nice space in a great location next to the beach. Although was rather disappointed I was asked to make a rather large deposit for breakages or a €35 non returnable fee after I booked. With this in mind I wouldn't stay again and rather would book in a hotel for a short stay.

Great place for a short stay Positive: The location of this property is excellent right in the centre of Tynemouth. It's on 3 levels so you need to be prepared for stairs! It was very cosy and clean and perfect for a short stay. Negative: On arrival it would have been clearer if the instructions had said the entrance is down the alley called "Back Prudhoe Terrace". Once inside I collected the parking permit which was provided, however it was 2 months out of date! I called the number and was put on hold for almost an hour and then the owner turned with a new permit, why they had to keep me on hold I don't know and how come no-one else had noticed it...? Whilst the beds were OK the pillows were absolutely rock hard, so very uncomfortable, also the bunk beds are very squeaky making it difficult for anyone in that room to get to sleep. There was not enough toilet paper, when you're only there for 4 days I didn't expect to have to go and buy toilet rolls. There are no outside lights when you first enter through the gate making it very dangerous at night especially when it's wet. There are lights in the next door alley but they didn't work after the first night so every night we had to rely on our phones, but this needs to be addressed as it is dangerous.

Very nice and modern apartment with all amenities you could need. It was a little difficult to find in the dark when we first arrived as we weren’t aware it was above a restaurant and did not know what the gate looked like. The apartment is in a great location, close to the beech and all restaurants, bars and shops. We’ll definitely stay again.

Short distance to shops and restaurants and to the beach Negative: The bathroom at the top of the stairs -people in the street can see straight up the stairs. There are no curtains or blind so that isn’t very private. Couldn’t find the parking Permit that was mentioned in some of the info sent

Wonderful Tynemouth No. 33 is the perfect base to visit Tynemouth and surrounding area. The property was immaculate, well stocked with everything you would need, comfortable and great location for the beach and restaurants. Thank you very much we had a lovely holiday. Will book again for next year 😃

A lovely clean property right in the centre of town - lovely places to eat and drink near by. The weekend market in the old railway station was amazing - as was Rileys fish shack on the beach. Also loved doing beach yoga with Auburn Yoga and joined in the big swim in the sea. Wonderful!

Great spot with plenty to see and do right in the heart of Tynemouth Positive: The location was superb and the accommodation was very well presented. Everything we needed was in easy reach with a supermarket around the corner and the metro station within easy walking distance. Plenty of bars and cafes close by too. Negative: Entrance was difficult to find and as the yard was shared with the downstairs cafe feel that it could have been tidied up a bit and prettied up so that it was more welcoming as we were wary of what we were going to find when we walked up the outside stairs. What we did find was perfect though.

Sue to layout of accommodation there isn’t an awful lot of communal space for the amount of people they can accommodate. The bedrooms and bathrooms all really lovely but lounge/diner/kitchen felt cramped with 6 people in it

Great place to stay, clean, light and bright and a lot bigger than expected. Highly recommend

We had a good 4 day stay in Tynemouth and the apartment is in a good location in the town. Right near the high street but also 5 mins from the beaches. Fixtures and fittings all look new and of high quality and its all decorated with style. Having said that the washing machine was broken and the hob didnt work either. I reported the hob via a telephone call whilst we were there, was promised someone would come and look at it but noone did. However, the aspect which i would want future guests to know about is the apartment, which is lovely, but is situated directly above a restaurant, which plays pretty loud music most of the day and all of the evening till they close. It can be heard very clearly into the apartment. It was disruptive. Equally, just outside the entrance door to accommodation are the restaurant generator and air fans, which make a low level but constant noise which can be heard in kitchen/lounge area.

It was exactly as described, really lovely. Perfect to walk to restaurants and bars and to the beach. The inside was immaculate and very comfortable. Really pleased with the stay. There is a restaurant underneath which can be slightly noisy when you sit in the kitchen and lounge area, it didn’t bother us at all and once we went to bed we couldn’t hear it. We visit the area quick a lot to visit family and will definitely be back to stay again. Thank you for having us
