Great location and well suited to a short stay for one.

Very unhappy with stay Positive: location, double bed was big, check in process was easy, small touches like having soap, washing up liquid etc was excellent. Negative: Boiler was constantly running, couldn't adjust thermostat. Toilet seat was broken on arrival. Sofa bed was stained and filthy when opened bed to use and had broken legs. Felt bad making my children sleep on it. The blanket on top of sofa smelled . Complained first night but nothing was rectified even though was told host would be informed. Left one night early as very unhappy.

Although a good location in Montpelier, we couldn't even get into the flat and had to wait 15 minutes on the phone - the lock was so stiff we had to jam the key into the door. It does not look like the images. The flat was filthy, with bedsheets that we had to ring and ask to be changed due to hairs, stains and rips on the bedsheets. When we came back in later on that evening, there were still hairs in the new bedsheets. There was mold in the kitchen windows and a damp smell throughout, food splattered on the wall, dirty toilet and mold on the shower curtain. There was food all over the kitchen floor that we kept our shoes on in the house. We looked for another place to stay but nothing was available last minute, and we were cautious of complaining to the host as other reviews had said their reservation was cancelled late at night. It was an incredibly disappointing trip and definitely not worth the money. Luckily we have got a partial refund with Airbnb. Please stay elsewhere.

Awful experience, dirty apartment, had to relocate. Positive: Ease of access via keysafe Negative: This apartment was filthy on arrival. Dirty towels strewn across the bathroom, dirty kitchen, full bins, urine still in toilet and not even a toilet roll in sight. Phoned host and stay, the rental company and was told they would try and find a housekeeper to clean up, then nothing after several calls. Found out next morning they had cancelled the booking at 9.30pm on the first night of a 2 night stay without having the courtesy of a call to inform us so. Had to relocate and pay for alternative accommodation, then had a 3 week battle to get a refund. Eventual refund made without any notification of them doing so, obviously pained them greatly. Use ‘host and stay’ at your peril. Disgraceful.

Not value of money - expensive and offers no comfort - Positive: It was close to the town centre and a local pub across the road. Negative: The mattress was really poor quality so we both got up with bad back pain. It’s two single beds put together to create a double. The bathroom was awful I’m 5’11 and had to bend in the shower to fit. The extraction is minimal and the property smelled of must and was very very cold on arrival . The towels and our wet clothes did not dry out over night. The duvet was too small and flimsy for the bed, In general Not the cleanest or freshest!!!!!!!

Lovely location and fine for our stay! Had some issues getting into the property as the lock was stiff and had to contact the company who were nice. No shower towels were supplied, and we had to search for a cover for the sofa, which had stains on it. We ended up fitting 3 people in the bed though. Light bulbs for the lounge area and lamp here weren’t working. No wine glasses so we had to buy our own! Window in the bedroom didn’t stay open unless we propped something under it.

Without doubt the worst Airbnb experience I have ever had in Cheltenham — and I visit the town two weekends every month. The apartment looked nothing like the photos advertised. On arrival, the shower was filthy and had to be cleaned before it could even be used. The bed and bedsheets were absolutely disgusting, covered with urine stains and hairs, proving they had not been cleaned or changed. To make matters worse, the entire place reeked of damp. This property is in no way fit to be listed on Airbnb as described . It was unhygienic, misleading, and completely unacceptable. Future guests should think twice.

Great stay. Thank you for having us! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in a beautiful area surrounded by everything that you need.

Positive: The light and the location. Negative: The apartment is very nice. But the cleanness was poor. As soon as we walked in we could smell an unpleasant smell. it was coming from the bedsheets in the bedroom. They smelled really awful, of badly dried laundry, it was so unpleasant. Also the rug in the sitting room was pretty grotty and the carpet overall was old and dirty. In various places the wallpaper was pealing off too. Also there was no bin bag in the bin and no bin bags to be found. We had to use supermarket bags that we had. And there was no sugar and not even a half pint of milk in the fridge. And I had to reconnect the router to the telly too because there was no signal and once I managed, there was no TV channels so I had to log into my personal account to at least watch the BBC iplayer. The bad smelling bedsheets was the worse of all though.

Lovely little apartment! Clean, bright and modern with big Georgian windows letting in lots of natural light. Plenty of amenities with everything we needed for 5 nights and a big comfortable bed. Perfect location in Cheltenham with Montpellier on your doorstep and a short walk into town centre. Lots of lively bars and restaurants in the area but the apartment was peaceful. Host was friendly, responsive and very accommodating.

Positive: I booked this accommodation for 4 nights. They payment was taken from my bank account in two separate payments and my bank thought it was a fraudulent transaction and declined the second payment. So i did not get to stay in this accommodation. No one from host and stay has responded to my emails. because of the way they accessed money i was left with a blocked card and no way to pay for an alternative. I needed to speak to the bank fraud department to unblock my card. Negative: After I returned home, I found out that host and stay accessed my bank account again, 10 days later and took the remaining 341 pounds. thieves... Booking.com have not been any help either.

Property has a lot of character. The market was right outside our door on Sunday. That was so fun!

Host was responsive and check in easy. Despite this, the pictures as advertised are incorrect. The sofa and carpets are very visibly stained. The Kitchen tap drips consistently. There is wallpaper hanging from the ceiling in the living room and coming unattached from the wall in the hallway. Only two windows can be opened in the property and have to be held so with items available in the rooms, as they will not stay open otherwise. There is a dent to the bedroom door and what appear to be make up marks and scuffs to all rooms. No bin liners are provided, regardless of length of stay. All in all, this property is in a lovely location, but most certainly doesn’t present as advertised. Thankfully I had no need for the “sofa bed”, but if anyone is to, I would advise bringing own linen that includes a mattress protector

Potentially a pleasant apartmetn but needs easy to operate heating and better kitchen equipment. Positive: Location good; apartment pleasant but problems: Negative: - no written instructions - no heating (I contacted owner to get central working but the instructions provided failed to get it working) - very poor quality cooking pans - a leaky tap - smart TV programs kept freezing probably due to weak wife

Disappointing flat not in keeping with advertising photographs. Positive: Huge bed just as well as we didn't know where the bedding was to make up the sofa bed. Mother and 2 adult daughters fitted in fine! Negative: Poorly maintained flat. Low standard of cleanliness. Sofa very stained. Wall paper peeling from the wall. No instructions on how to operate central heating, tv and wifi, or where to find bedding to make up the sofa bed. Noisy boiler located in the bedroom. Lack of clarity on provision of toiletries and toilet roll insufficient amount left for 3 guests for 2 nights. 2 bath towels 1 hand towel for 3 guests. Towels stained and hard. Dismissive attitude from host when asking for customer service. Poor guest experience in terms of preparedness for our stay and provision of basic facilities. Host dismissive of customer concerns when raised.
