I would never stay there again and would not recommend. Positive: The location was nice. Negative: The apartment has a funky smell with mold visible on the walls in the bathroom. The bedroom carpet was stained and dirty and the bed was uncomfortable (could feel mattress springs). Every morning the smoke detector would go off because the people upstairs made toast. They didn’t have a hair dryer and said they would reimburse me for one that I bought and left there (with a receipt) but they never did.

Disappointing, damp & dirty Positive: Location Negative: Disappointing, damp & dirty. Carpets stained , bed lumpy, dead flowers on vase, dishwasher not emptied,crumbs on sofa, hoover in middle of floor, 1/2 toilet roll left for our use, no toiletries in bathroom, empty handwashing bottle , mirror had to be wiped before could be used. Was very damp especially in bedroom . Was not advised that our stay would be in a damp basement! No effort made to welcome us , in past have received a note from host & on more than one occasion had biscuits/cake left ! No even fresh milk .. although we did not use the dirty kitchen & literally couldn’t wait to leave !

Je suis désolée pour le mauvais commentaire et j'en ai fait part à Host&Stay mais malheurement ce logement est extrêmement sale, cela ne vaut pas le prix. L'emplacement est parfait, hyper bien situé, mais entre ce que vous voyez sur l'annonce et ce que vous trouvez à l'arrivée il y a beaucoup de différences, ustensiles de cuisine sales, placards infâmes, tâches sur le canapé et la moquette, impossible de manger ni à l'intérieur ni sur la terrasse qui sont dans le même état, le propriétaire doit revoir l'état et la propreté de ce lieu. Cela ne m’empêchera pas de relouer à Host&Stay, mais je serai plus attentive aux avis, car ces problèmes ont apparemment déjà été soulignés auparavant.

Had to find alternative accommodation- still waiting for a refund despite many messages and reassurance from the propert Positive: Could be lovely but its not Negative: Dirty, ripped cushions, broken blinds, nasty marks on the carpets.

The flat was not properly cleaned and is not maintained. The pillows were yellow, the mattress was brown, and there were stains on the carpet, sofa, pillows, and even the sheets. Plates were still in the dishwasher from previous guests. Basic supplies were missing, like bin bags and a sponge. A lamp and the kettle were broken, and the bathroom door lock didn’t work so if the door closes fully you need someone from the other side to open the door for you. Some bed slats were broken, making the bed uncomfortable. There were no curtains in the bathrooms, and one window faced directly outside... The musty, damp smell in the entire flat was so overwhelming and probably the worst part. We had to buy cleaning spray to feel comfortable sleeping. Customer service just dropped off new sheets with no further help. Considering the price being charged, the standard falls well below what is acceptable. The location is the only good aspect, but be aware it’s at the top of a hill.

Convenient situation. Facilities need improving Positive: Location was good. Inside flat clean. bedroom fine. bed comfy. Nice bathroom though no Curtain or blind. Kitchen fine. Fresh milk would have been nice but little pots ok. Communication was friendly through emails. Negative: Outside was untidy. Steps down to flat and patio area dirty . Old cigarette butts. No table in lounge. Only a cover over a fold up bed ! Light fitting on ceiling hanging loose. They promptly got us a new kettle and put a bulb in light. Flashing lights in lounge ! Electrics ??The flat was a bit noisy with footsteps and noises from above flat. Washing machine on late at night . I couldn’t find a hair dryer. Maybe there was one ??? No mattress cover on bed.

Dirty, musty and bad customer service. Positive: The property was nothing like promised on here. Left within 30 minutes of arriving. Negative: The house was dirty (used tissues and dried up contact lenses on the floor). “Clean” linnen were dirty and put in a storage closet with tools and boxes instead of a linnen closet. The beds were uncomfortable and had no support. The mattresses and pillows were stained yellow and smelled musty. The entire house had a musty odor which made it impossible to stay there. Contact the customer service and were very helpful when we were still in Brighton, acting like they would find a solution. The second we left the country they told us we had no evidence (which we had) and stopped responding.

I need another holiday Positive: Location was nice but the apartment is on a steep hill Negative: Dirty upon arrival, large amounts of dust in bedroom, and heavily stained carpet,really bad old smell in bedroom. Foam pads for the pull out bed were also heavily stained. Living room floor dusty too. Broken spotlight hanging from ceiling. Bathroom window broken and bathroom door lock is broken, we got locked in several times and had to put a tea towel around the door. Kettle blew up during our stay so we contacted them and they said they would make sure the kettle was replaced after our stay! Smoke alarms in all 3 flats are connected so whenever one alarm is set off they all go off! Terrible ventilation because the kitchen windows don't open so there's just the double doors in the living room. We spent a good 30 minutes wafting towels to try to get the smoke out from cooking. Most un relaxing stay ever.
