The video sent prior to checking in was very helpful for accessing the property. We had an enjoyable stay to see in the New Year in Hexham. Good friendly atmosphere in the town and some excellent places to enjoy a meal and a drink. The cottage is in a nice part of Hexham with a handy Co-op nearby. There is no dedicated parking but found no difficulty finding a space. Good bus services past house. The property has been tastefully furnished and is well equipped. We were there during a cold period, but the central heating generally kept the living room and sleeping area comfortable. The entrance door opens directly into the kitchen area. The small kitchen has no heating and so was always cold. This is not helped by the fact that the entrance door is draughty compounding the chill. The kitchen however, was only really used for preparation of breakfast and snacks. Nice powerful shower and everything was spotless on arrival. The property was nice and private, would stay again.

Good value for money. Positive: Fit for purpose, and clean. Negative: Nothing.

heerlijk weekend, zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Positive: lokatie, fijne inrichting, supermarkt om de hoek. Negative: extra kosten voor eventueel vroeger inchecken/bagage drop waren belachelijk hoog.

A clean and caringly furnished property that made good use of the small space. Well equipped, given the limited cooking facilities. Brochures and maps of the area were much appreciated. The front door opens straight onto the street and in the daytime this is quite busy. It quietens at night though. An electric fan would be a welcome piece of equipment.

Nice place. Kitchen very small but adequate for our short stay. The road was a bit noisy so light sleepers may need ear plugs.

Very nice place, felt private and very comfortable and chilled with plenty within walking distance as well as easy to find a place to park really close to the location.

Thoroughly enjoyable. Positive: Good location/base. Provision of detailed guidance from Host on Stay covering the property, facilities and local sites, restaurants, shops, etc Negative: Can't think of anything.

Nice and cozy 10 minutes walk from the centre

Spoilt by the road noise (not the owners fault) but a warning of the issue should have been notified Negative: Toaster found to be faulty on first morning and though reported to hostandstay was not replaced so unable to have toast for breakfast (we had purchased bread, butter and preserves at a local shop). Main problem was the excessive road transport noise which started at 4 in the morning and lasted till 01:00 hours. This caused lack of good sleep which led to cutting short our stay to go home and get a good nights sleep.

ALRIGHT FOR A SHORT STAY, Positive: Spotlessly clean, modern decor, hot water, plenty of kitchen utensils although we did not use many of them. Very close to a supermarket with long hours, Negative: Had difficulty collecting keys from the key pad and needed help,. Then we could not access the property and once again needed help from the owner who also had difficulty. Departure time of 10.00 is early as our flight was late at night so had to keep the luggage with us. rather than leaving at a reception,. Property at top of a hill. Would be better with a car.

Tolles Apartment, toller Aufenthalt! Positive: Als das Apartment endlich gefunden war, konnten wir auch die Schlüsselbox finden. War aber sehr kompliziert durch irritierende Angabe der Adresse. Negative: Die Adresse wird auf allen Maps zu einem falschen Haus geführt. Es sollte die Adresse des Millers Couch House angegeben sein (wo die rote Tür tatsächlich ist) - dann ist es auch kein Problem mit der Beschreibung die Schlüsselbox zu finden. Wir mussten lange im Regen suchen und mit einem Mitarbeiter von booking.com telefonieren bis wir alles gefunden hatten.

Much better than the Travelodge! :) Positive: Lovely place, very clean and well maintained. Very kind and considerate hosts. Negative: The beds are set up as 2 singles, rather than a double, due to the position of the stairs leading up.
