The location and house was lovely. The just was fairly responsive but none of the showers worked in the property and the house alarm kept going off and none of the issues got sorted in the 8 days I stayed at the property. Everything else was fine

We stayed here while we were visiting family over Christmas. The house was great for us (5 adults) in terms of location, size, equipment etc. There were a few issues with maintenance (lightbulbs not working for example which should have been noticed by the cleaners) but Host and Stay responded promptly and dealt with issues where possible, given that it was the Christmas period.

*Please note if you are looking at this property: wifi is not included!* We took it as a given that Wifi would be available in 2025, especially for £100+per night, and missed it on the listing under missing amenities. The house has an internet router/connection, shame it is not available for guests. Not ideal for those working from home whilst away. The home is comfortable and cosy, great for what we needed after our house flooded. The host was incredibly helpful and quick to respond when we had an issue and gave clear instructions before/during our stay. We were unlucky with the cleaning- the bathrooms and kitchen were not fully cleaned (pee splatter on bathroom bin, pee on toilets etc., dusty) and someone was sent out to address this however we were still not 100% happy after they came - they a cloth on a dirty toilet seat and then went to wipe the kettle and kitchen appliances with the same cloth! So we ended up cleaning ourselves. Hopefully they can address these issues.

Well appointed although missing a few items such as bedside tables, bins in bedrooms and clocks. Lovely quiet location. We agree with previous comment that the shower seemed to range from hot to very hot.

Great place

Perfect for any length getaway with a home from home feel. Positive: Bright, fresh, airy - great kitchen and wc facilities. Negative: Bedding was a bit crunchy but totally minor point - great property thank you

The property is in a great location—peaceful but close to shops, with easy parking. It looked lovely on first glance, but several issues became clear during our stay. In our en-suite, the hot water tap had no pressure and flooded the floor. Some floor tiles were sharp where grout had come out. The shower was extremely hot and unpredictable—there were no clear instructions for use, and at one point the hose actually flew off. This unfortunately led to my dad being scalded, which could have been much worse had someone more vulnerable been using it. The host did kindly offer to send maintenance, but we were too busy to arrange a time. There were also cobwebs on doors and ceilings, a missing threshold strip, and an unkempt garden. Smoke detectors were either out of date or had no batteries, which is a serious concern. With more attention to safety and upkeep, this place could be fantastic. The layout, parking, and location are excellent—it just needs better maintenance and cleanliness.

Fab place very comfy and a home from home, FYI there is no WiFi but to is connected as smart to as advertised phone signal good enough in surrounding area to use as hotspot
