Stay was nice. Positive: The hottub and lodge was lovely Negative: The lodge wasnt cleaned properly and we paid extra for a birthday banner and balloons which were no more than £5 worth and was rushed no effort at all and the price was ridiculous for what we recieved

This is a lovely place. Bright and airy and next to a pretty lake with lots of ducks. There aren’t too many walkable dinner options other than JJ’s on the site. The home is well-equipped, including some things that do not appear on the listing, such as a hairdryer. We didn’t initially have a kettle, although one was given to us quickly. It took a while for the hot tub to heat, and sadly one of the outside seats was broken, which meant that all four of us couldn’t sit outside together at the same time. Be aware that you will be asked to pay either a non-refundable £40 damages cost (or £250 refundable, although the deductions policy sounded quite foreboding pushing us to the £40). This really should be made clear before arrival. The home was clean, but with quite a few signs of wear and tear, which is to be expected. The fridge door needed to be fixed while we were there. Overall we had a great stay, and the reception was very helpful throughout.

Lovely place to stay, only issue was out hottub was cold one of the days of our stay, woke up Saturday moring and was cold, but was heading out however on return around 8pm, was still cold, did escalate this but unfortunately think it was a little late for any call out to resolve the problem! However lovely site and great location!

Brilliant place if you are looking for a quiet retreat, the owners were very welcoming and gave us some good advice on n Positive: Was a very quiet and well kept site very peaceful hot tub was brilliant which topped the weekend off. Negative: Absolutely nothing

Pleasant Positive: Lovely location on the lake. Negative: It would be nice to have a complimentary pack upon arrival, especially for those arriving on a Sunday when everywhere is shut. OR even a small charge for a starter pack of - washing up liquid, wash cloth, tea towel, WC paper, tea bags, coffee, milk. Or at least be told before hand that you need to bring these items with you as they are not provided on in the unit or on site. A curtain rail that obviously was not secured correctly fell down during the night hitting the person sleeping on the bed below it. Not a pleasant experience.

We were pleasantly surprised by how big Luna lodge is. The location was lovely and watching the ducklings on the lake was lovely. My only gripe was the lack of crockery, there was 6 of us booked but only 3 glasses as it was after 5 there was no one to contact so I had to wait until the next day. I also wasn’t aware of the security deposit to pay on arrival either £40 non refundable or £250 refundable. All in we had a lovely few days away.

Very peaceful location 20 mins from York so was lovely to check in and use the hot tub after a day in the city. Hadn’t realised we were booking with the park owners not a private host- communication over checkin could have been less stressful if they’d just stated to pop into the check in hut on arrival. The lodge was as pictured. We were met with a running hose flooding the deck on arrival. The lodge could have been cleaner! Previous holidaymakers had written clean me on the hanging lamp shades and dust had started to cover the writing, there was long black hair all over the sofa, bedroom and bathroom. Despite all this we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Checked out on the Thursday and was greeted by an email on Sunday charging us £50 for misuse of hot tub with no explanation causing a lot of stress. Numerous messages later asking for an explanation which we have had none. We did get our money back but no apology. Disappointing! Wouldn’t book again!

Gorgeous surrounding and very friendly staff. Would recommend and definitely return. Positive: The property was spacious and very bright and airy. Negative: Felt the property could have been a little cleaner when we arrived.

Lovely lodge, would definitely recommend and revisit, I’d just bring more with me next time. Positive: The property was in a great location to explore the surrounding areas and very spacious inside. There was 6 of us and our dog and there was plenty of room. The facilities onsite were also very good. Negative: The only negatives I have is, My daughter slipped in the shower that is over the bath in the ensuit as there is no bath mat. She did hurt her back but was ok with just some slight bruising. You need to take ALL your supplies. None of the bathrooms had hand soap in, which I wasn’t expecting and they only provided 2 dishwasher tablets which isn’t enough for a 4 day stay. We also went out and bought some champagne flutes as there wasn’t any in the lodge.

Lovely spot, just spoilt the 2 nights having the of tub issues on night one Positive: Spacious Warm Negative: Hot tub not working on night one and initially suggested when we called the helpline number to wait until morning, this wasn’t satisfactory, we said this and tried another number on the booking info, someone came but he just said it was his night off, so this really was a favour, he did sort it. But not really good enough and I have fed this back but no one has been in touch. Also there were it’s from a burst/ popped balloon by the bed in the main bedroom and part of a balloon still attached to the lounge wall , we assumed from the previous party

Good size of lodge.Easy to find it.Everyrhing was clean and working fine. Hot tube was perfect in the cold evenings. York is 20 minutes drive and shops 5 minutes away.

Excellent and will definitely return Positive: Exactly how it looks on the pictures very clean and well presented they have thought of everything here nothing is missing Negative: Just needed to warm the hot tub up
