We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this host & stay property in Pinchinthorpe. The location is truly beautiful l, and the accommodation itself is simply one of the Airbnb places we have ever stayed. The standards are exceptionally high throughout— everything aspect of the property is thoughtfully done, immaculate and very comfortable. I stayed here with my wife and 19 year old son, and all of us loved it. We would happily return in the summer, if the place is available. We really cannot recommended this place highly enough— it is simply charming

Beautiful accommodation - our son wanted to buy the place and stay forever! Extremely clean and tidy, everything we needed for a few nights away. Trust the instructions for the location - you can't see the door to the cottage as you drive through the gates but go straight ahead and park and that's the front. Neighbours/owners who live next door were super polite and friendly and helped us. Thank you - will definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay, the house had all amenities we needed for our family break. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the added bonus of the alpacas which our daughter loved. Great location for Whitby, Saltburn and surrounding areas.

Lowcross Cottage is an absolutely beautiful property, it is presented immaculately! We stayed whilst visiting family. We have stayed in local hotels in the past, and also in similar type of accommodation but in the town itself, where parking can be a bit hit and miss. Lowcross Cottage is less than 5 minutes from my son's house so it is ideally situated. We shall be staying again on a future visit without a doubt!

La maison est spacieuse et confortable. Il y a également une terrasse où on peut manger. Elle est bien située : un chemin de randonnée et une aire de jeux pour enfants se trouvent à 5 min à pied, accès facile aux grandes villes des alentours et à la côte. La vue et les alpagas sont très sympa. Point négatif : ils faisaient des travaux sur la propriété et ont commencé assez tôt le matin, nous avons donc été réveillé tôt tous les jours... Il aurait été mieux de ne pas faire de travaux lorsque le logement est loué.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed lots of local walks. Our daughters loved saying hello each morning to the alpaca’s. Hope to visit again to explore more of the area as it’s a great location.

Great place, spacious and private and very quiet. Great for families. Nice facilities with a good sized kitchen and garden area.

I used this accommodation whilst away working, it was extremely clean and comfortable within peaceful surroundings. The host was very friendly and provided clear instructions and information. Will certainly stay again and recommend to others.

Fantastic little cottage used on a buisness trip - would stay again

Absolutely fantastice place to stay, lovely accomodation in a very nice area. Stayed for work but would definitely book again. Stay itself was perfect.

Unfortunately wouldn’t stay again. Positive: The cottage was lovely—clean, well-equipped, and in a great location. Negative: We would have happily given it a 10/10. However, our experience was marred by an uncomfortable encounter shortly after arrival. Around two hours after checking in, we heard loud banging on the door which we believe was the owner who spoke to me and my girlfriend in a rude manner regarding where we had parked. There was nothing to indicate that parking there wasn’t allowed, and had it been approached in a polite or respectful way, it wouldn’t have been an issue at all. Sadly, the tone of the exchange made the rest of our stay feel uneasy. We don’t believe paying guests should be spoken to that way. While the cottage itself was great, we won’t be returning due to how we were treated. Check in time it 4pm is also late compared to other places and could be better.

Beautiful property, very high spec throughout, perfect for couples and families, will be back Positive: Everything about the property was amazing. It felt like home from home, it was clean beyond belief, the fixtures and fittings were top end. The privacy aspect was very good, loved the idea of the key safe when checking in and out. Negative: I thought the check in time of 16.00 and the check out time of 10.00 was unfair. I felt the typical times of 15.00 check in and 11.00 check out would have felt better value for money and the extra hours would have been more beneficial to the weekend. Also, I agree with the refundable deposit, but didn't like the fact we were charged a £10.00 admin fee. I thought it would have been a good idea to provide logs for the burner as an additional option which would have saved having to bring them with us. We ended up at Low Farm by mistake, as the post code was ambiguous, I think if the cottage was registered on what3words, and/or a easy to see sign post at the top of the access would be beneficial.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lowcross Cottage, the location was great with good walking tracks on the doorstep but also Positive: The property gave us everything that we would have wished for and more. Negative: No negative views.

Accommodation was well located, close to walks and cycle tracks. Peaceful setting. 15 minutes from the coast. High end specs to the interior furnishings and fittings. Decent space for 4 people. Highly recommend.

We love coming here but it been un clean every time let’s it go so much I think it puts a toll on your stay and makes u Positive: The property is nice and has just enough for your stay Negative: - only gave us half a toilet roll for 4 nights, we had to go and buy more and more hand wash and other bits like that as they were all empty - really unclean, floor was covered in mud, dog hair, crumbs - dirty plates and utensils were put back - floor of shower was yellow so not cleaned - hairs in bed and all over sofa - mud marks on spare bedroom door

We stayed at Lowcross Cottage back in the summer when it was very hot. The cottage is so very beautiful, we came back to stay over Christmas. Obviously summer was very hot, and this time the weather was cold. The cottage keeps lovely and warm due to the controllable underfloor heating, plus the woodburner made things very cosy!

Romantic, cosy, exceptional Positive: Loved this property, welcoming , cosy and ideal for a little getaway. Location private and beautiful views. The cottage had everything you need with an amazing fire that kept us toasty. Negative: Nothing… all excellent

We had a relaxing and very enjoyable stay. The cottage was clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities and great parking. We felt at home straight away. The surrounding area was peaceful and close to forest walks, places of interest and supermarkets in Guisborough. It was a lovely treat having alpacas in the field next to us - definitely one of the highlights of our stay!

Great stay, very comfortable and clean, had everything you need plus a gorgeous kitchen to cook and make drinks whenever you wanted. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely clean, modern single storey house - I wouldn’t have called it a cottage.Has everything we needed.A few points I’d like to make though -There is no sign to say which building is the cottage, we guessed as there was car outside the other one.Access has a gate & a bin across half of it - the gate is not mentioned in instructions.The digital guide says there’s a Sky remote - there isn’t .So many links to “deals” in all messages from host & repeated several times.Discovered CCTV cameras recording any outdoor movement, even patio area - invasion of privacy & made us feel uncomfortable when going outside.No charging electric vehicles notices everywhere, does not make you feel very welcome,Shower - unable to lower temperature below 38No oven gloves!

Would recommend.

This is the third time we have stayed here and it won’t be the last!!! A truly great place and location

We loved our stay here while visiting family in the area. Very comfortable beds and everything you need for a little home. Our little one of 15 months also enjoyed the space and running around the grounds.

Lowcross Cottage stay Positive: Liked the layout of the property and peacefulness of the location. Plenty to do within a short distance. Negative: The shower floor never completely dried out which caused a stale smell to linger in the bathroom.

Our stay at Lowcross cottage was perfect for our family! The kitchen and bedrooms are very spacious. There is a lovely outdoor space with a table and chairs. It is a great space for little ones with a travel cot and high chair on site. A short walk to a lovely local cafe for breakfast or lunch. The space was clean and equipped with what we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lowcross Cottage. The cottage was lovely and clean and airy and we felt at home straight away. It is very central to beauty spots and near enough to towns for groceries. A brilliant pub nearby. The host was very friendly and very helpful. We will certainly return again.

A lovely place to stay .

Positive: Lowcross Cottage is attractive, spacious, well appointed and maintained. Negative: However, there are a number of shortcomings in the kitchen that detract from the overall high quality of the accommodation, namely; a: the oven is very dirty and quite worn b: the pots and pans need a thorough cleaning c: as the cutlery and glass ware has been lost or broken over time it has been replaced by none matching items so that complete sets no longer exist. They need to be replaced with completely new sets as this would much improve the visitor experience at meal times. Toiletries in the shower room would have been appreciated. (As has been the case in most of the other self-catering accommodation in which we have stayed).

Everything perfect, great location and beautiful home, had everything you could ever need. Thank you

Great place to stay .

Positive: Easy to get to from where I lived and the directions given were good. I had trouble getting the key in the door but I think it was because of the cold. But other than that, it was exceptionally clean, heated floors, which were a luxury on your feet, and the Alpaca's in the field were lovely to see on our arrival. There were shops and a few pubs not far to get to in the car if you got a little bored, but it's ideal for a nice relaxing weekend away. Negative: The check-out time was 10am on the Sunday which I thought was a little too early and there was no leeway with the time as they said the cleaner will be there shortly after!! Or an extra charge would be added....

Beautiful place, really comfortable, clean and private. Minor things, you get sent to use this website, where you are asked to use the email and telephone number on there. The oven looked like it could possibly fly me to the moon, but I just wanted to cook a pizza lol. I left a message and emailed, but no one responded, all weekend. I didn’t want to use the emergency line, but managed to download the instruction book for the oven. Also, ran out of logs, and there wasn’t much to light the fire with, kindling etc. not helped that the lighters had ran out. Although the underfloor heating is great, but we wanted to use the fire. Lovely place would stay again, but just a couple of suggestions.

When we first arrived the boiler wasn’t working and so we had no hot water or heating for the first night, however this Positive: The property was the perfect size for us and had everything that we needed. What a fantastic well presented Airbnb. lovely surroundings we had a chat with Joanne who was a really nice lady, she left some food out to feed the Alpacas. We had the best stay our top air b n b so far. highly recommend:)

Beware of Host and stay Positive: The house was in a lovely location, and the decor was very nice. Negative: Where do I start! There was a horrible stink in the bathroom coming from the shower that got worse over the weekend. There was a dirty mop in the cupboard that hadn't been bleached. But the worst part was the company they employ, host, and stay. Bombarding us to part with our money with both emails and messages constantly both before and during our stay: hire a private chef, get a Gin delivery, get in earlier for £40 from 11am, then another from 2 till 3 £20. Then, during our stay, if you break anything, you must pay. And if you're not out by 10am, you'll be charged. What can I get out of your wallet basically. It's such a shame it could have been much better An awful uncomfortable time. We were on edge constantly.

The accommodation and the location and the surroundings were perfect. Just one thing spoiled our booking…. And that was Positive: Perfectly presented Negative: Directions were not good (especially arriving in the dark)

Great accommodation in a fabulous location. Positive: Location fantastic. Hosts excellent and friendly. The alpacas were fabulous. Property well maintained and had everything we needed. Negative: The bed is rather firm.

Leuk verblijf met een sfeervolle woning. Positive: De locatie in de buurt van het North Yorkshire Moors gebied en het Notrh Yorkshite Dales gebied. Negative: De ingewikkelde communicatie met de aanbieder van de woning. Voor 3 nachten verblijf moesten wij 300 GPB als borg betalen. Dit geld werd geïnd via onze creditkaart en deze verhuurder brengt 10 GBP voor administratiekosten in rekening. Door het geld te innen moeten wij de nodige transactiekosten betalen. Wij vinden dit verre van prettig. Daarbij hebben wij een WA-verzekering dit alle schades aan vakantiewoning dekt. Wij hebben dit met polis en al naar de verhuurder gestuurd (Host & Stay), maar deze houdt vast aan zijn eigen regels. Wij zullen dan ook NOOIT meer een woning via Host & Stay huren.

Lowcross Cottage is modern, spacious accommodation in a peaceful rural setting yet only minutes drive to the heart of Guisborough. A great central location for visiting the sights and attractions of North Yorkshire. Would definitely book again.

There was just a smell problem from the Drains and the kitchen units were not cleaned properly however the owner was very very responsive and sorted out the next day. Very pleased with him and he was very helpful with our questions of what to do. Highly recommend recommended

Excellent place to stay - happy to recommend Positive: Modern, comfortable and spacious. Great setting, private and plenty of room to park. Terrace was useful to relax in the sunshine. Loved watching the alpacas. Negative: No instructions for the microwave.

You need to update mattresses and pillows in the bedrooms, the house needs a full deep clean and the wooden floor needs finishing near the bathroom. Also, more than one roll of toilet paper is required and if people are staying more than a couple of days, you need more than 1 tea towel

Freezing cold with no heating on arrival Positive: The place is beautiful and clean Negative: We arrived to the post code at 6.00 pm. It was pitch black. We couldn’t find the property no lights, no signs. That made it impossible to find the property. After half an hour of turning around we called the agent and he guided us in. We received no door code by email or text so he had to guide us again on the phone. We went inside the property the heating was off and it was 7 degrees , we turned the heating on but it took 2 days to heat the house and it was time for us to leave. It was so cold we had to use the log burner , used the beds blankets wrapped around ourselves and close the door to have some heat in the living room. Went to bed our bedroom was 11 degrees like sleeping in a fridge. It’s a shame the place is beautiful but we don’t think we will be back again 🙁

Altogether a lovely comfortable stay Positive: Modern, clean premises and well situated to visit local villages , towns and attractions. Negative: Lack of instructions on how to use the central heating and the microwave and oven. Contact Host & Stay , they will put you in touch with the owner. Was also not happy with the £30 nonrefundable payment to cover breakages . This is something I’ve not previously come across.

Good morning Alpacas Positive: Clean, tidy and good location. It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Lots of parking and nice to look out at Alpacas in the morning. Negative: Couldn’t find any fault

Lovely house to stay will book again if we are in the area. Owner greeted us on arrival was very friendly. When we were leaving he let us leave our cars there while we went for breakfast next door which he recommended to us. Alpacas were friendly. Very nice. Would stay again Positive: Been before so knew it was nice! Negative: Hard copy of microwave would have been useful. A wastepaper bin in the twin bedroom would have been useful. Separate bin in the kitchen for recycled items i.e. bottles, paper etc would be good..... quite a few other places do a smaller open-top recycling bin.

Positive: Cottage bellissimo, tutto nuovo e molto pulito, silenzioso e tranquillo ma in posizione molto comoda per visitare i dintorni.

Great place to stay. Looks just like the pictures but the rooms are actually bigger than you’d think with nice, wide corridors. It was clean and everything was easy to use. We know the area well so knew what to expect. Good points: comfortable beds, modern kitchen, patio much larger than expected, beautiful surroundings, alpacas on your doorstep, friendly owners. No real bad points but possibly need more kitchen items (utensils, cutlery and crockery). I’d give this place 9/10.

Super okolica Positive: Super lokalizacja, w okolicy są lamy, co jest plusem. Dom bardzo ładny, czysty. Byliśmy zadowoleni. Negative: Musiałam dopłacić dodatkowo przed przyjazdem za ubezpieczenie. To dodatkowa opłata o której nie znalazłam informacji… Otrzymałam link do strony i polecenie zapłaty. Nie podobało mi się to, bo zwykle nie klikam w linki od nieznajomych. Obsługa jednak mnie poinformowała, że inaczej nie otrzymam kodu do domu. Więc zapłaciłam. Po zapłacie okazało się, że płatność za dom nie przeszła i powinnam zapłacić także przez inny formularz. Nie zgodziłam się, więc płatność ostatecznie została pobrana przez booking. Kosztowało mnie to dużo stresu. Był moment w którym myślałam, że to jakieś oszustwo.

Photographs are a true representation. I guess staying directly next to the owners place is unusual, especially when he stared up his Lamborghini outside the bedroom window :O). The rear garden was spectacular and there was a small gate off the terrace to access this . However it was the owners garden. Parking was easy, huge space directly outside the cottage, well away from any road, a great feature and peace of mind regarding security. The kitchen was great, overcomplicated oven that you really need a PHD to understand :O). There was a dishwasher with a two tablets to use, but no washing powder with the washer, seemed strange. Host&Stay said they didn’t provide this :O(. Regarding other items in the kitchen they were minimal & basic, I can only just by my previous experience with an AirB&B. Lounge had a log burner but there was an extra £10 charge for logs. Overall great cottage spacious and clean.

Overall the cottage was lovely and very clean . It did state there would be logs for the log burner , that was not the case ! Kitchen had no instructions for the oven or microwave. Also it does not mention that the owners house is attached and it feels a little overlooked . It would not stop us coming back though as it is a lovely cottage .

Highly recommend this beautiful cottage which has a lovely country feel but close enough to the village! Positive: cottage is beautiful !! it is very clean, spacious and modern. Private, convenient parking right outside the cottage. Beautiful views of the countryside but only 6 min from the town. Negative: We loved everything. Only thing we could suggest is a few more utensils for the kitchen and some instructions on how to work the digital stove and microwave.

Positive: beautiful comfortable cottage. clean and homely feeling Negative: difficult to find as a gate was closed over at the start of the road the property was on and there was no sign. microwave didn’t work. I called the phone number and was asked to check if it was plugged in. I emailed pictures as requested but never got any further response. The bathroom needs hooks to hang a towel or clothes on. Bin in the main bedroom would be good. There was also construction going on at the property which we would’ve preferred to have know about.

We all said WOW when we arrived . The location was just lovely with Alpacas to feed on the door step. The interior was just beautiful ,clean modern but cosy at the same time. Beds were very comfy, enhanced with stylish furnishings it really was a fabulous stay. We would definitely stay here again. Big thank you to the owners who were very friendly and helpful during our stay. It’s a 10/10 from us.👍😊👌
