Great mini break to Whitby. Location is excellent - right at the heart of Whitby. Positive: Location was excellent - less then 100m from the main bridge at the centre of Whitby up a small side street but still very quiet (no noise issues at night). Clean modern apartment. Plenty of space for a family of four with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Negative: Can't really fault it!

Great stay had a fabulous time everything we needed and wonderful weather a bonus. Positive: Great location , everything we needed in the apartment. Good communication from the owners. Negative: Parking , I know this is not the properties fault from the location , but difficult with a 3 year old.

Schönes Appartement.. leider mit Ratten in den Wänden und Whetherspoon vor der Tür.. Positive: Das Appartment ist sehr schön, groß, sauber und modern. Die zentrale Lage in Wassernähe ist ein Vorteil, aber auch ein großer Nachteil was die Lautstärke angeht. Die Wohnung liegt in der 1. Etage und ist über eine sehr schmale Treppe zu erreichen. Es gibt 2 saubere Bäder/Toiletten, Spülmaschine und Waschmaschine. Whiteby ist ein sehr süßes Städtchen und alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und Shops sind von dem Appartement fußläufig erreichbar. Negative: Vor der Buchung sollte man wissen, dass man zusätzlich 25£ für eine Versicherung zahlen muss. Zudem steht in der Beschreibung "mit Meerblick", aber den sucht man leider vergebens. Es gibt allerdings seitlichen Blick auf den Hafen. Wir bekamen zuerst eine veraltete und dann die falsche Park-Karte ausgehändigt, sodass wir letzendlich jeden Tag mit dem Auto und der schwierigen Parkplatzsituation zu tun hatten. Am schlimmsten war allerdings die Geräuschkulisse (hier ist die zentrale Lage und die Wohnung im 1. Stock definitiv ein Nachteil), denn nicht nur dass das Brummen des Restaurants im Erdgeschoss das Wohnzimmer zum vibrieren bringt, auch die (betrunkenen) Gäste des Wetherspoon gegenüber, unterhalten sich lautstark die ganze Nacht und kotzen gerne auch vor die Tür. Davon sind sogar die Kinder aufgewacht. Dazu kommt spätestens ab Mitternacht ein lautes Kratzen und Fiepen in den Wänden des Schlafzimmers, das einen glauben lässt, die Ratten säßen direkt neben dem Bett. :(

Positives: Great central location. Beautiful view from the living room. Great facilities (except no washing up liquid) - host provided shower gel, shampoo, soap, dishwasher tablets. Plenty of space for two adults and a toddler. A good price that's competitive. Parking discs provided and clear information about where to use them was given. Also pay to park nearby was only £10 for 24 hours. Cons: Carpets were dirty and so were the laminate flooring so our socks got dirty. Blinds and other surfaces were dusty. Limescale in the bathroom/showerhead hasn't been tackled in a while. The double bed mattress was extremely uncomfortable - springs sticking up. Pillows for the beds were wafer thin so lots of broken sleep. A suggestion for ear plugs for future guests as the bedroom windows are above one of the smoking areas for the pub next door. Likewise, another pub near by had music playing until late. Storage for food other than the fridge/freezer would have been useful.

Excellent high quality accommodation in central Whitby Positive: Very clean, great spacious accommodation and good to have two bathrooms. Negative: Whilst central location was excellent, there was some noise very early in the morning (5:30am).

Positive: The location was brilliant right in the centre so easy to get everything, place was immaculate and the communication before arrival was great Negative: It needs new mattresses, the double and the 2 singles were very soft and could feel the springs in them

Positive: The apartment was in a great location. Perfect to nip down to the singing kettle cafe for the best breakfast in Whitby. It has everything we needed for our short stay Negative: The stairs up to the apartment and were narrow and steep. As I walk with a walking stick I did manage but the emulsion coming off the main staircase wall onto your clothes was not good

Fab location but could do with a deep clean Positive: Great location, good basics in place and good communication from team with access details. Negative: Not as clean as you’d like for a holiday property.

We had a lovely time in Whitby and enjoyed staying at the Lobster Pot. Positive: The apartment was located in the harbor close to the amenities. The apartment was clean and tidy and had a lot of appliances including washing machine, microwave, oven, hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, tv, iron & ironing board. There was also cutlery, crockery, glasses, utensils and pots and pans. Negative: The step at the front door was quite high and there were 15 steps up and 5 steps down to the apartment although we did manage this but it wouldn't be suitable for anyone with accessibility needs.

A very 4 person small place but for the centre of Whitby its great value. Negative: The barrel delivery to the pub next door. Every morning at 7am...

Awesome 😊 Positive: Perfect location! Everything good quality, all equipment in kitchen provided, even down to washing up liquid, handwash and tea towels!! Will definitely return 😊 Negative: Only that it was noisy late at night and morning….due to central location

Avoid unless you like dirt and an aching back Positive: Location was great, but terrible for parking Negative: It definitely wasn't clean, very uncomfortable beds and couches, cutlery was dirty, hair and grime on the floors and beds, bed sheets were stained and had flakey skin on them

Loved Whitby but you need to be fit if you like exploring Positive: Right in the centre of Whitby Easy level walk around the inlet area Parking permit included Negative: Parking permit good but had to walk a long way after finding parking spaces. Couldn’t access our street between 10am and 4pm with car to load/unload luggage. Steep stairs - no lift. Not good for anyone who is not fully fit and mobile. Apartment needs a proper clean every now and again. Blinds dusty and tiles in bathroom need a scrub.

Negative: The steep stairs coming in with only one handrail. Parking was awful!

Lovely apartment and very clean. Both bathrooms were well equipped and very clean. Really great place right Nextdoor for breakfast. The stairs are quite steep so bit tricky for my 86 year old Mum but she managed ok. Would use again.

Great Apartment in a superb location Positive: This was not the first time we have used Host & Stay and will definiteley not be the last, we stayed in The Lobster Pot in Whitby for the second time. The apartment is in a perfect location for bars, restaurants, walks and of course the Abbey, the apartment is a 2 bed, 1 ensuite shower room, room 2 as a seperate bathroom with a bath, it is absolutely spotless with everything you need for a stay in Whitby ( cutlery, wifi, smart TV, fresh linen etc ) I would highly recommend this apartment wether your staying for a week or just a couple of days, it was perfect for all our needs. Negative: N/A

Fabulous, was an amazing weekend I would most certainly return, Positive: Fabulous location, clean and well equipped apartment a little in the small side but adequate.

No help! was promised a cleaner following day and no one came. Was told someone would get back to me within 7 - 10 days Positive: Location was good Negative: It had not been cleaned. old towels, full bins, used toiletries, not hoovered, hairs on bed, hairs in fridge, cup marks on table and food waste left in kitchen. This obviously made us believe the bedding had also not been changed as the rest of the property had not been cleaned. Spoilt our weekend.

Negative: Very deep step from road and steep staircase to access apartment. Some noise from pub after hours and early morning brewery delivery but not excessive.

Great apartment, pity about pub noise. Positive: Great location for local amenities, apartment lovely. Negative: Too close to the pub behind, late night noise and woken every morning with them emptying the bottle bins.

There were 4 in our group and we found the apartment to be modern, comfortable, spotless and more than adequate in terms of space for 4 adults. Every requirement is catered for within the apartment should you wish to prepare your own meals and relax indoors. A home from home. The property could not be closer to a host of bars and restaurants. The railway station is but a few minutes walk away. If we had a question via email, we received a response generally in minutes. The host also publishes a phone contact for any questions or issues that may crop up. The best accomodation we have booked via Airbnb. We will definitely look to book this property on our next visit to Whitby. Great apartment in a great location.

Positive: The flat was really comfortable, well equipped and well located. Negative: A few areas weren’t as clean as would be expected - bathroom floors (particularly the corners and behind the doors), under the bedside cabinet in the twin bedroom, the bin lid in the kitchen, the cutlery and crockery had stains from food/drinks not washed off. It was difficult to operate the windows. There was a lot of noise from The Angel. It would be helpful for potential guests to see a photo of the stairwell to see how steep the stairs are. The first step into the stairwell from outside is very high. A slip mat for use in the showers would be helpful. The bath in the main bathroom is very deep with a high step out.

Positive: Spotlessly clean and comfortable beds Well equipped kitchen. Freeview and Netflix. Negative: Outside noise. Bins being emptied at 6.00a.m. every morning and noise from Wetherspoons late at night.

We had a pleasant stay and could manage ok there. Positive: The property was close to all the amenities. Negative: Guests should be warned in advance of the steep staircase access. people with mobility problems or young children would struggle. Whilst basically clean, more attention should be paid to details like loo holder, towel rail, taps etc. Early morning noise from the pub/hotel next door disturbs sleep.

Giving this a 3 star for location only. Location is great right in the centre can walk pretty much everywhere. parking is a nightmare not many spaces in the bays suggested/ free parking. The apartment itself needs a totally deep clean the floors are filthy the showers are thick with limescale and everywhere has a sticky touch. The enterance hallway stinks and then the living room smelt of gone of milk/sick smell (has improved since we moved the fridge off the wall) the dishwasher is out of use and did not leave any washing up liquid so be prepared to buy your own! If your light sleeper this isn’t the place for you the weatherspoons pretty much move there kegs every night all night from 1am then have deliveries early morning Would not stay here again.

Lovely visit and clean and tidy. Comfortable furniture and good space. Positive: Location was brilliant, Clean and well equipped kitchen. Negative: The smell in the stairwell is very off putting and strong maybe an air freshener at the bottom of the stairs would help!!

Very disappointing start due to changeover clean not being done - eventually got in at 8pm. Flat ok but not worth the mo Positive: Central location Negative: Not cleaned when we arrived. Backed onto a Wetherspoons, so noisy. Entrance hallway absolutely stank. Flat had an unpleasant smell. Ceilings very low. Listing says parking - misleading. We had to pay to park in a 24 hour car park as the free ‘W’ zones were constantly full and miles away from the property. Very expensive for what it was.

Positive: Good location. Negative: The property was not clean: Cupboard in kitchen was full of food from previous people. Freezer was frozen solid with ice and not clean. Bin in bathroom not emptied. Carpets in bedrooms need a good clean. Dish washer had a piece of paper in it saying not in use. Steep stairs to property and an awful smell. Were only left a 2 day parking permit for a week. Had to call a couple of times to get more.

Very central but shame as flat could be very very nice if spruced up and not besides Weatherspoon!! Positive: It is a flat so own breakfast. Really nice little flat Negative: Stairs are steep. Location was very good. Central. Weatherspoons next door. Barrels being moved at around 4.30 in the morning.Noise from the pub.Front door does not close properly.

Dispite the bed and the smell on entry this did not spoil our stay, there is everything you need, the location is perfec Positive: The property is very well equipped, very clean and a great location … Negative: The mattress on the double bed is lifeless maybe time for a change, at the bottom of the entrance it smells a bit damp…

really enjoyed our stay in spite of the above but would not choose the Lobster Pot again. Positive: The position of the flat is great but unfortunately is very noisy from the hotel opposite which has a very busy Wetherspoons attached. The noise starts very early as there is also a greasy spoon cafe underneath the flat. Beer deliveries and bottles being deposited in the waste bins. Lots of food smells from the cafe. Negative: See above the flat its self is very nice and contains everything you could want - no complaints there.

Negative: Very steep stairs to apartment, not able to get close to apartment in the car to drop luggage off. The cleaning was not brilliant as there was Plastic and bits on the floor when we arrived And the window blinds were thick with dust which isn't good for my asthmatic friend .

Great property in a great location Positive: The location of the property is fantastic and a great size Negative: The bedding was stained the mattress in the master bedroom needs replacing. The dishwasher was out of order. The pillows in the living room were dirty and the property needs a deep clean. The hallway and stairs leading to the property are filthy and need a clean. Positive: Loved that it was by the harbour and close to amenities. Good furnishings, clean and comfortable. Good communication regarding stay from the Host. Negative: That other people staying in the flats left the main door open regularly. That was woken at 6am every morning due to the cafe below serving food and could hear the chatter. Car parking was a bit of a nightmare - the nearest 'W' areas weren't close so if you were elderly or had walking issues, this wouldn't be appropriate.

From booking the apartment information was supplied and accurate - smooth transition accessing the apartment, great location for everything. I would have no hesitation in staying at this property again. Great host Thankyou very much

Nothing like the description Positive: Great location although proximity to bars means a certain amount of street noise until late. Negative: Shower cubicle was broken and in pieces. We arrived to find repair man doing his best but unable to repair it. Extractor fans in both bathrooms not working. We were provided with one hand towel for 4 of us. Washing in the machine, bucket and vacuum cleaner in the lounge, toaster dirty, flat generally dusty throughout. Awful smell in communal entrance. No response to any of this from agent.

Positive: Location was good. Had nearly everything we needed. Clean Graham the maintenance man was very helpful very informative and very quick to come to our aid. Negative: The shower wasn't working in the en suite. One of our party could not get into the bath to use the other shower. Had a leak in the middle of the night. Which we had to clean up and use all the towels . Mattress uncomfortable in yhe double bedroom.

Great location, flat looked like pictures. Next to pub & did get loud but didn’t bother us. Reported a smell in flat on arrival day, like damp/drain sour smell. It never completely went away. Partner was in the shower first morning & downstairs cafe owner was at the door saying water was coming through her ceiling lights. So had to get him out the shower very quick. Reported this & got told maintenance would be there to fix it when we were out. When we left it still wasn’t fixed so we could not use the shower in en-suite in the 4 days we were there. We book an apartment with en-suite because there was 3 adults all trying to get ready at the same time. If these issues where fixed we would have booked this place for future trips to Whitby but we will now be looking elsewhere where.

Great location in the heart of Whitby. The apartment was wonderfully equipped and extremely clean. Be prepared for some noise in the early hours as the pubs close up!

Really good apartment in a fantastic location. Positive: Excellent apartment in a fantastic location, clean, modern and well equipped. Negative: Being told that there was a further charge for damage insurance days before our arrival, did not sit well this should be included in the price charged when booking and not as a hidden extra.

Positive: Position was good. Nice and clean. Negative: The terrible drone/vibration noise in the lounge room from the building below. Stopped when the business closed later at night. Also the noise from the pub where they stored their kegs and rubbish bins.

Whitby very good place to stay with lots of choices for eating ang drinking an site seeing Positive: Very good location Negative: Very steep step to get into and out of the building from alley way along with steep stairs. If carrying luggage you are limited to what you can carry. No bath mat in bathroom or slip mat in a high sided bath along with no hand rail for balance. No permit for parking in W zone near by could have done with an H parking permit, map wasn’t clear as to were we could park.
