Lovely lodge, well equipped kitchen. Liked having 2 bathrooms. Quite easy to find. Well furnished and a few toys there for kids and books for adults. Wifi worked well, especially good with kids on their tablets at times. Location good for flamingoland, and also for other places of interest. Only downside was cleaning fee a bit pricey but otherwise worth the money for 6 if us.
Exceptional place to stay in Yorkshire Positive: We booked a single night stay as we needed to break up our journey. How I wish we could have stayed longer! The lodge is exceptional. It's spacious, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen - in fact everything you could ask for, including a dishwasher and washing machine. I shall certainly book a longer stay as we look forward to exploring North Yorkshire, it's an easy drive to the coast or into York. The location is lovely, very peaceful and loads of space for the kids to play. Highly recommended. Negative: Nothing
We had a fantastic stay in Linden Lodge. The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful, very tasteful and modern decor, lovely spacious living and dining area. Compact but perfect kitchen. The bedrooms are a great size for a lodge and the beds were extremely comfortable! The smart tvs were a bonus. We love this area and visited the neighbouring towns Pickering, Malton, and also took our children to Castle Howard and Dalby Forest whilst there. A beautiful location. The lodge was absolutely immaculate, matched photos perfectly, and felt comfortable. The park itself is still being built up, so was quiet and peaceful, which we loved, but it’s still small in size so I can imagine a full park in summer would still be absolutely perfect. I had a few queries and had to contact the hosts a few times - although my queries were not quite rectified- the team were brilliant and got back to me very quickly and in a polite and professional manner. We are already planning our next trip back. Thank you
Stayed here with friends and our dogs last weekend and had a really great time. Such a lovely and modern place and very clean. Nice and quiet location, only negative feedback was the lack of lighting outside which was a problem when letting the dogs out early morning/last thing at night. There was a torch, but we still think the whole site needed more lighting. Check in was very easy and we were well informed throughout our stay with useful information. Very reasonable in terms of price too! Would definitely return!
Brand new site, so very quiet. Good dog park nearby We had a puppy who needs area to run that could not escape. Lots of places for dogs to run, but if poor recall may find themselves in a very busy road. Place lovely, but was vey warm- fan provided. Some plumbing problems, which caused kitchen to flood every time we used sink, but they communicated with us well. Only happened on last 2 days, so didn’t get sorted before left.
Great value for money - would highly recommend Positive: The lodge is tastefully decorated, has built in appliances - everything is of great quality. There was a remote controlloed tower fan, an air fryer, oven, grill, hob and microwave - also a fridge/freezer. Lots of plates/bowls and mugs. Excellent quality towels and bedding. The location is an ideal base for exploring nearby towns and attractions - there is a Lidl just a couple of miles away. There is a decent space between lodges so feels private and is a quiet location. Having a dining table and patio doors to the outdoor seating area was lovely. Negative: The mattresses were very soft. When draining water out of the bath, the other bathroom's toilet bowl water would spash about. For us, having a play park in the children would have made this even better, but this is a personal thing.
Once again a beautiful stay in this perfect peaceful lodge. We feel right at home here, the lodge is in a fantastic location only a stones throw from restaurants, pubs, a Lidl supermarket, some beautiful walks and attractions. This time we did Go Ape with our children and a Gruffalo walk both of which are in the nearby Dalby Forest, and we also visited the North Yorkshire Moors train and took a steam train to the village of Goathland which was absolutely lovely. The lodge was the perfect base to stay at, cosy and clean with all the amenities you could ever need, our children got quite muddy at the forest and luckily there is a washing machine in the lodge so we could get things washed quickly! The internet is now free from the site, as they have had a mast and routers fitted and a lovely gentleman came to advise us during our stay. We had a slight heating issue on arrival but a lovely man came to fix it within minutes and it was working! We will be back soon, thank you again 😊
Great spot just outside Pickering! Ideal for my mum who needs a bungalow type property after doing the first steps up! Lovely and clean, well equipped kitchen, nice and warm A great stay
The stay exceeded my expectations. Positive: The location was great for Flamingo Land and also for exploring around the local area. Communications from host great. Lodge was immaculate!! It had just about everything you could need for a pleasant stay. Site was nice and peaceful. Double bed was so comfortable - so much so that we checked the make of the topper to buy one for our own bed at home! Negative: A lit number or lodge name at edge of site road would be ideal as arriving late in dark the lodge lights were not on so had to go around a couple of times to find it (and partner got out and checked a couple of lodges). A rotary air drier would be ideal for drying clothes outdoors in a windy day. The clothes stand provided is fine for indoor use but not ideal outside.
Positive: Brilliant location, excellent accommodation Negative: Slight noise from a generator
Great stay, lots of space for two couples and our dog. Great location to get to the coast. Local Indian takeaway was brilliant too! Thank you so much x
Linden Lodge Positive: Everything good except dirty drawer in kitchen. Excellent lodge, lovely quiet site, would return Negative: Flush on toilet broken, message to company to report it. Had no reply.
Fantastic short break in a peaceful retreat. Positive: The facilities are excellent. Everything you need for a stay away.
Good location, very easy reach of Pickering. Accommodation exactly as described.
Beautiful lodge in a peaceful new site. The lodge was well equipped and had everything we needed. Only thing to improve for me would be plastic bowls., cups and plates for young children. Thank you for a wonderful stay
Really nice place and a good base for lots of things to do in North Yorkshire.
Lovely, relaxing stay in a beautifully, well equipped lodge on a lovely site. Positive: Very spacious and in a lovely location. Negative: Nothing - would like to stay again!
Lovely quiet location within easy reach of places to visit
Lovely lodge . Positive: Clean Comfortable Everything and more what you need Outside space Negative: Na
It was like a home away from home. Positive: The property was spacious and was well accommodated with necessities. The appliances provided suited every need as well. Its situated on a lovely area, very peaceful with lots of greenery.
Fantastic Positive: Beautiful peaceful site. Very clean comfortable lodge, well equipped. Fan much appreciated. Great areas for the dog to run. Negative: Nothing
Positive: Loved the lodge and it's location
Peaceful and perfect Positive: A perfect and peaceful escape. I booked the lodge for me and my elderly parents as a few days away to celebrate my Mam’s 80th birthday. The lodge was wonderful and was perfect for our needs. There is a walk in shower in the main bathroom for those with mobility issues and cant access the bath/shower in the en-suite. Plenty of space to move around, a well equipped kitchen and so much storage! There was a power cut on the last night but as we were asleep it didn’t affect us. Communication with the host before our stay was very responsive and helpful. I will be returning when I visit North Yorkshire again and it will be my property of choice. I’ve already recommended it to friends and family. Negative: There was no tea bags provided however a quick trip to the local Lidl solved this issue
Fab weekend for 3 adults and our dog 👍 Positive: Absolutely beautiful. Amazing lodge. It was so clean, comfortable and very well equipped with everything. The location was perfect. Great we could take our dog. Comfortable beds, plenty of bedding & towels. Cant fault anything about it. Highly recommended 👍 Negative: Nothing - all fabulous and great quality.
Positive: Rural, well kept, plenty of wildlife, clean, cosy, perfect. Negative: Nothing.
Lovely place but we left feeling highly unsatisfied and disappointed Positive: The lodge its self was lovely, the interior was very nice and beds were comfortable Negative: We were without electricity and hot water for around 24 hours, with two small children. We had to throw away around £100 worth of food that we had bought for the stay. We were made to feel like we had to just get on with it and no body was interested in helping. We were in the middle of cooking our meal when the electric went off again so it has to thrown away. We had to eat our meals out and get takeaways which resulted in a very pricey stay. The lodge was not very clean upon arrival, the mirrors were so dirty we literally couldn’t hardly see in them. The cupboards smelt damp and the decorative items were covered in a sticky residue. To top it off the dishwasher didn’t work on the first two days, we called the maintenance guy but he didn’t bother turning up until the next day when he had to come became the kitchen tap exploded off and water went everywhere. We were told just not to use the tap anymore. All we got told was that they were sorry for the inconvenience, because of all of this we kindly asked for a later check out and got told no. For £511 we were devastated! We felt the place was very clicky with a lot of lodge owners around, somehow everything we did got reported back to the owners, making us feel like we were being watched. The owners weren’t happy because we filled up a small paddling pool for the children when the weather was almost 30 degrees. I have added photos of all the food that had to be thrown out and the broken tap
Daily on-site power cuts and poor cleanliness meant we left early - A frustrating experience Positive: Communication from the management company was excellent. They were always very fast to reply, which was the best part of our experience, and check in via the key safe was straightforward. The lodge itself is very spacious and well laid out. The main bedroom was comfortable and the bed linen and towels were clean. It is well equipped with useful items like a clothes drying rail, a vacuum, iron, ironing board, mop and a washing machine. The WiFi was decent and worked well with speeds of around 20mb, which was enough to stream content etc. It was very dog friendly, the site has plenty of green open space to explore with a dog (watch out for the wildlife if your dog is keen on rabbits, pheasants etc). The “boot room” by the front door was very useful as well. It’s a good spot, but it was let down by numerous issues during our stay. Negative: Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the good points. We spent too much time cleaning and fixing things rather than relaxing, and we ultimately cut our stay short and went home a day early. The main issue was frequent site wide power cuts, both in the day and every night around 10pm for an hour or more. This affected all lodges in the area and at night turned the entire rural area pitch black, which was very disconcerting. On the day we left, the power was out from 11am until at least 1pm. Management replied quickly but could not help. Other websites show this is a known site issue as of May 2026. It happened numerous times over our 3 days there. Cleanliness was poor. There were long hairs on plates and glassware, and cutlery was put away dirty. Cupboards, drawers, and under the sink were dirty, and surfaces and mirrors were dusty and streaky. The dishwasher was unresponsive on arrival and full of dirty plates. It took us an hour to troubleshoot and fix it before we could wash all the dirty crockery and cutlery. The long black hairs on plates, cookware and in the fridge were very unappealing to discover. Carpets were also stained, in need of a clean. There was a slight stale, musty smell in the main bedroom and ensuite. It was also noticeable in the main bathroom. This is likely because the main bathroom shower leaks badly onto the floor even with the door closed, requiring a mop each time. For smaller points, the main bedroom could use a blind to block light, and the red and silver living room curtains and pillows really do not match the rest of the otherwise nice decor. Finally, the arrival directions from the management are insufficient. The Google Maps link you're told to follow takes you to entirely the wrong area, and with minimal on-site signage, we spent a while driving around trying to find our way to the lodge on arrival. Given the price we paid and stressful experience, we would not recommend this property and would not return.
A nice spot but our stay was spoiled by numerous problems Positive: Communication from the management company was excellent. They were always very fast to reply, which was the best part of our experience, and check in via the key safe was straightforward. The lodge itself is very spacious and well laid out. The master bed was comfortable and the bed linen and towels were clean. It is well equipped with useful items like a clothes drying rail, a vacuum, iron, ironing board, mop and a washing machine. The WiFi was decent and worked well with speeds of around 20mb, which was enough to stream content etc. Dog friendly as well which was nice, the site has plenty of green open space to explore with a dog (watch out for the wildlife if your dog is keen on rabbits, pheasants etc). The “boot room” by the front door was very useful as well. It’s a good spot, but it was let down by numerous issues during our stay. Negative: Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the good points. We spent a lot of our time remedying and sorting things out rather than enjoying the stay. Having to clean things and try to fix/solve issues was frustrating. We ended up coming home a day early and cut our stay short due to the problems we had. The main issue was intermittent power cuts which happened multiple times per day. Every single evening around 10pm, the power cut out completely and stayed off for an hour or more. This affected all of the lodges in the area, and all lighting was off. Because the site is far from the road and any other light sources, it made not just our lodge but the entire surrounding area absolutely pitch black. It was disconcerting and caused a real sense of unease. I found a number of reviews on another website mentioning the exact same problem for this specific site, so this is clearly a wider site issue as of May 2026 and needs addressing. Power cuts also happened in the daytime, multiple times during our stay. On the day we decided to leave the power was out from around 11am and was still off when we left around 1pm. It wasn’t an issue caused by the fuse box etc, it was a site wide power outage, so you just had to wait for power to eventually come back on. The site was also not busy during our stay so I hate to imagine what would happen during busy periods. Management were quick to respond but unable to offer any advice. The cleaning standards within the cabin also could have been better. While cookware was plentiful, many items were not clean, and we found multiple long hairs on plates and glassware in the cupboards. Cutlery was also put away dirty. The kitchen cupboards, cutlery drawer and the area under the sink were particularly dirty, and the carpets could do with a deep clean in areas that have accumulated stains. We initially could not get the dishwasher to power on, it was unresponsive and contained dirty plates on our arrival.
We were unable to stay in the property which we originally booked due to a leak making the property uninhabitable. The replacement property we were offered was lovely but not quite as big as the original property. Unfortunately there were no toiletries available at the property as per the details.
Great Stay! Positive: The host kept in touch with key information for your stay. They informed us where the keys could be found for our late arrival, facilities for the lodge and the surrounding areas. The lodge was lovely and modern . I would definitely return and highly recommend. Negative: N/A
Positive: Location, facilities, size of property. Negative: Toilet door did not shut or lock, advised Host & Stay of this but it was not repaired during our stay. No particular information regarding operating oven etc. No information folder regarding things to see/do around the area as well as restaurant and supermarkets. The lodge could do with a tray as well as salt, pepper and maybe tea coffee etc provided.
Modern, spacious, clean and quiet Positive: The lodge was modern, spacious and well presented. A large enclosed decking area which was ideal as we had 2 dogs. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything you needed. Both bedrooms were spacious and had the benefit of 2 bathrooms. The site itself was quiet and peaceful. A relatively new site with plans to expand. Just a mile from Pickering with its shops, supermarkets, castle ruins and train station. Would stay here again. Negative: The only real negatives were the mattresses. They were really soft and saggy
We have just had a fabulous stay at linden Lodge in Pickering. From booking, communication from host and stay was fantastic, sent all instruction, Lodge guide etc so we knew exactly how to get there, get into the Lodge and all amenities. The Lodge was spotless, with a very high standard and finish. we will definitely be booking again
Absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to see and do. The space was clean, stylish, and had all the amenities we needed and more. From a fully stocked kitchen to comfortable beds and fast Wi-Fi, everything was thoughtfully prepared. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!
Gorgeous lodge, beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need available to you. Amazing comfy beds and furniture, very peaceful location perfect for our trip. Very clean, great communication, couldn’t fault it! Nicest place we have stayed by far
Dormimos bien y seguimos viaje!
clean, modern and spacious accommodation. Positive: Lovely spacious and clean lodge. Very well equipped kitchen. Negative: Unfortunately key code did not work on arrival but luckily this was soon rectified by the site manager as the phone number on Booking.com app was invalid. Mattress in master bedroom not very comfy but appreciate that is personal preference.
Positive: Not applicable Negative: The holiday was disappointing because of the hassle we had in paying before we arrived. We paid the full amount and the booking department took the money out in two amounts which alerted our bank as fraud. They stopped our debit card . Had problem sorting it out with the booking department dealing with people who we could not understand. The bank informed us that you should take out only the amount that we agreed in one payment
Great stay for flamingoland tournament.
