Enjoyable stay for an anniversary few days with friends . Lovely stay Positive: Beautiful lodge warm, and homely but of high standing

A chilled break Positive: A nice quiet location, Negative: An explanation of why our lodge reservation was changed

The location was easy to find, and when you enter, the Host and Stay hut is well signed. I did find it a little odd that there were a good handful of representatives there, and yet i was stood outside waiting whilst someone else was being inducted and welcomed. However, once they did eventually check us in, the lodge was lovely! Great view of the lake from the hot tub! We couldnt use the outdoor furniture because it was wet, but it was too cold to sit outside anyway! They had cute fairy lights set up outside, but the batteries had ran out. What we loved was all the little extras that were there - the milk, the chocolate muffins, all the teas, coffees and biscuits. A lot of the lodges weve stayed at before didnt have handwash, shampoo or condition, but this place had all of them! Also loved the fact we had a smart TV, so we could watch Netflix, Prime or Disney in the evenings. Aldi is 5 mins away - its a bit of a tight road to get to it. Theres also a KFC, Subway and Burger King close

Amazing location, restaurant on site was exceptional. Positive: Loved the location of it being right on the lake, close to restaurant and bar. And only 25 minutes into York town. Negative: When walking in we noticed freezer leaking all over floor, I went to see the reception and they said they would send someone out. When we got back we noticed that non of our drinks were cold that we had out in the fridge, that’s when we noticed that someone before us had switched the fridge and freezer off. No other issues other than this.

Quite place amazing views Positive: Caravan it’s self was lovely hot tub amazing on site restaurant was amazing Negative: Double bed was a disgrace not comfy and used Settee was the same. To pay for 2 nights then get an email saying we have to pay an extra £40 for insurance charge bit rubbish really . It needs to be stated on booking pay page. Not luxury really
