Very lovely place for couples

Good stay Positive: Very clean and location. Near to station and several takeaways, Coop etc. But not people noisy as set back from main road. Negative: Main thing - 6 steep steps up to property which wasnt clear from pictures (see pic) and cant see last couple when dark even with garden light on. And partner tripped on step down to patio doors so important have to be aware of steps.

Beautiful Whitby hideaway Positive: Beautiful small apartment, well refurbished and a lovely place to stay . Very unique 👌. Very close to public transfer links , both bus and trains only minutes away. Convenient for Whitby pubs , shops and restaurants. Really quiet place to stay , even the noise from the seagulls seemed subdued . We would highly recommend. Negative: The steps in and out are steep and could really do with a hand rail . The step in through the patio doors should have a white stripe on and its easy to trip on the way in. Not good for people who have mobility problems.

Excellent birthday stay Positive: This is the third time staying at the knight retreat and again the location is excellent, homely and well looked after and the communication for the owners is open and friendly

We had a lovely stay at Charlies Airbnb. Very central to everything. The apartment was cosy and well equipped. Charlie was an excellent host and responded quite quickly if I had any questions. Whitby is beautiful. Thoroughly whites our stay. And for comfort , location and quality I would recommend Charlie’s Airbnb.

Perfect mini break Positive: Perfect location, immaculately clean, facilities good, decor very tasteful, very cosy, instructions for check in and out easy, hope to be back. Negative: Only improvement I would say is a later check out. There was also quite a bit of noise from above but didn't bother us that much as we are easy going and everyone is there to have a good time.

Hidden gem Positive: Lovely little apartment in a great location, very clean, the clean smell hit you when going in. Great kitchen with everything you need and more. Lovely shower in a small but fresh and clean bathroom. Large tv in bedroom and living room. Bed linen was lovely quality. Washing machine and dish washer was an added bonus. Negative: Small bath towels rather than bath sheets. The noise from above ( floors were creaking when people were walking around) annoying but didn’t spoil my stay.

Lovely little place to stay and great for relaxing after a nice day of wandering around town. Easy walking distance for all local shops and restaurants and the bus station is just around the corner for if you want to travel outside Whitby. If you park on the street by the apartment and want to travel by car, I recommend being out by 8am at the latest as the street does get blocked quite early on. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again.

Positive: The location is amazing, perfect for the town centre . Everything you need is provided . Plenty of plates, glasses , cutlery , ironing facilities, cleaning equipment, didn't want for anything Negative: We arrived and the property hadn't been cleaned from the previous occupier . We ended up on the phone to booking.com and host and stay till after 9 that night with no help from either. We ended up cleaning the property ourselves and sleeping on a bare bed as the bedding was dirty. We later found out it wasn't the owners fault but pretty much ruined the first night

Excellent and quiet (away from the main road) location. Positive: Location, Location, Location ! Negative: Parking outside is impossible as you will get blocked in completely!

The flat was ideal for being central to Whitby and had everything you needed including a bottle of wine which was lovely after a long journey. Host provided all the information before arriving. We didn’t worry about parking outside the flat as it was very busy. There is a long stay car park a 5 mins walk away which was ideal for our stay. Would totally recommend the host and property for those exploring Whitby and the surrounding area.

Relaxing chilling enjoyable Positive: Location and comfort

Pleasant stay close enough to walk to attractions. Positive: Clean, comfortable with a very modern renovation and refurbishment. Rain shower was excellent too. Negative: Although there’s no mention of supplying shower gel in the amenities list, I’d taken for granted there would be some available, but no! Brought none with us, so had to nip out to buy some. Never stayed anywhere that doesn’t supply shower gel. Check-in after 4pm and checkout before 10am times are a bit restrictive compared to other places we’ve stayed. Especially as there’s no facility to drop bags off if you arrive early and none for bag storage after checking out.

Great location, had all amenities required too!

We wanted a short break after Easter and this was an ideal option. It was clean, comfortable and close to the town centre without being noisy. Although parking outside the flat isn't easy, we got parked nearby and left the car there for our stay. With trains and buses so close to hand we chose to use them to explore beyond Whitby. Everything in the town was an easy walk. The furnishings and facilities in the flat were very clean, good quality and comfortable and everything was as described.

Knights retreat was in an ideal location, was clean and tidy, perfect for a weekend get away and we very much enjoyed ourselves so thank you for providing that. However there are a few things which did affect our stay, parking was not as described - no free parking available and it was very difficult to get the car unpacked and packed again. We got blocked in whilst packing the car for check out and then had to find the owners of the car which was quite stressful and saw us having to check out in a rush to avoid getting blocked in again. Also, the upstairs neighbours were incredibly loud, could hear their full conversations, children shouting and running around until midnight. Despite these few hiccups, we could not fault the accommodation it’s self, cleanliness, location, ease of Keysafe at check in and responsive on messages.

Felt so at home, warm and cosy. Really comfortable and so close to the centre of town so, easy walking distance to everything you need. Would absolutely choose this place when visiting Whitby again. Lovely stay overall.

The parking outside flat was difficult but plenty of parking 10 mins walk away. Could do with some outside lighting to the 1st set of steps as difficult to see in the dark

Great little place, exactly what we needed for a weekend in Whitby. Nice location easily walkable from the centre and nice well stocked kitchen and living area with Netflix etc. managed to get a free parking space right outside the apartment

This place was in a great spot, being walking distance to everywhere. Parking was difficult as everyone else parked there and you can get stuck in.

A compact cosy pad in the heart of Whitby Positive: Compact, clean, cosy. Great location just across the road from Baxtergate. Close to everything. Nice, modern, quality fixtures and fittings. Very quiet. Slept like a log. Negative: All good no negatives. Don’t expect a great view from the patio it just overlooks an unadopted road and the bins but lots of places in Whitby are tucked away in backstreets and alleys.

The place was clean and exactly how it was described, perfect walking distance between anything needed. Will definitely be staying again👍🏽

Very inflexible when we requested a slightly earlier check in (30 mins) due to it getting dark earlier we wanted to be able to get into the accommodation while we had some daylight. The property has very steep steps leading to the entrance so when we arrived we were even more puzzled as to why they didn’t allow us the extra time to navigate these steps in daylight Excessive contact throughout stay re consequences of breakages and leaving the property late.

Lovely clean apartment. Great location for Whitby, although the private road is a little chaotic with cars parked making it harder to get in with cases. But this didn’t spoil our lovely stay at this property. A real home from home.

Really happy with our stay. Would recommend and stay again! So close to many amenaties within walking distance. You feel in the middle of everything, but not bothered by the hustle and bustle of a busy coast. Close to many food and drink places. The apartment was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. One comment, which is more of feedback, not a complaint, is that 4pm felt late to be checking in. When we have stayed places before we could be in by 2/3pm which would have been easier. You could also hear the person upstairs faintly, but was not a problem. The outside space is lovely. 10/10 for the shower, I wish we could have taken it home with us! Extra points for having a washing machine. Parking would have been accessible outside the door, however someone was parked there when we arrived, eventually had to park at the train station car parl (£53 later) but that was of no fault of the property, just an FYI that the side street you can utilise for parking can sometimes be busy.

Very central location within easy walking access to all of Whitby’s attractions. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen worked well for simple meals. The comments about parking in other reviews are accurate. We managed a four day stay with a combination of street parking and long term overnight paid parking.

Perfect place everything about this property is great highly recommend a stay.

A wonderfully situated apartment. Very close to bus an rail and all amenities. Well equipped kitchen and most especially for me; a comfortable bed. Oh, and shower is amazing.

Nice, comfortable accomodation but parking was a nightmare. Managed to get a park in the lane where the apartment is but couldn't get out due to nose to tail and double parking. Would strongly suggest using one of the local car parks if planning to drive out.

Everything you need for a great stay, including an excellent shower and large TV with Netflix etc. Perfect location. Good communication/information provided. Car parking on site is an issue as others have stated so we just used one of the long stay car parks which was around 5 minutes walk away, priced at £12 for 24 hours. Bottle of wine in the fridge was a nice touch

Well what can I say the apartment was immaculate It was like being at home The decor is lovely really modern I can’t recommend this property enough so close to all amenities but very quiet The kitchen as everything you need if you want to cook one day The bed was soo comfortable and the shower was to die for I really can’t recommend this property so much we will definitely stay again we have stayed in Whitby at least twice a year for probably 15 years and this is the best property we have stayed in We will definitely be staying again thank you so much

Massive tv Negative: Loading and unloading was difficult due to private road. Upstairs neighbours were noisy. The outside furniture (chairs) needed a clean. Also would be better if outside decorations / accessories could be cleaned up / refreshed

Great apartment, so close to the harbour. Warm and cozy on arrival and also a bottle of plonk in the fridge, great touch! Couldn’t fault anything and had everything you could need. Very clean and tidy. Definitely worth booking. Free parking on the street outside the apartment, we just left a note in the car to say where we were staying and was never bothered to move it.

Feels like a home away from home. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again. Negative: There was no where to store hair and body wash in the shower. That is the only bad thing I could say about this property.

Whitby weekend Positive: Fantastic little apartment, ideal location. Slight mix up on arrival but it was sorted very efficiently thank you. Would not recommend for anyone bad on there legs as the steps up (although only about six) but they are steep. It has everything you need, the amenities are great, a very well looked after and finished apartment. There is parking on the street but if you do get a space you could end up blocked in, so we used the one near the coop. Just off the main road into Whitby, and right next to the bus station, although you would not know it, it is very quiet. Nice little outside area to sit and enjoy a coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night.

An excellent place to stay! It was right in the heart of Whitby and close to all the attractions, including the harbour. The apartment itself was clean and had all the home comforts you need. The shower was amazing! I would definitely recommend the apartment.

Such a nice apartment, let down by check in/out times ☹️ Positive: Location and Cleanliness Negative: 4pm check in and 10am checkout they could easily change the times on both these times by a hour in the holiday makers favour, doesn’t take six hours to clean such a small apartment.

Amazing location, and modern comfortable apartment. Great communication for keys, and to help with any assistance required. My only tip is to be careful if you are parking a car, make sure you are at the end as during the week otherwise you will jammed, and the cars are there for the entire day. I would definitely go back.

Great Airbnb but parking is an issue

yes lovely flat. nice and warm feeling. you can chill out easily and peacefully . the only thing is a few steep steps to flat but nothing we could not manage.
