We had a lovely stay. The cottage is beautifully decorated, comfortable and exceptionally dog friendly and safe, which we loved. However, there were two significant disappointments. We booked largely for the hot tub and river access. Despite the hot tub being prominently advertised, guests must purchase their own logs to heat it, as well as for the log burner. These aren’t available to buy on site, so you have to source them yourself. This appears to differ from previous guests’ experience in reviews. A request for additional logs was refused. We also discovered that the river shown in the photographs isn’t accessible to guests. Both facilities were key reasons for our booking. We feel the additional cost of using an advertised hot tub, and the lack of river access, should be made clear before booking. It says in the book logs provided for your stay, but this isn’t what we got. It’s a lovely place and we enjoyed our stay, but transparency would have avoided these disappointments.

Excellent property with beautiful surroundings. Perfect for a quaint weekend break with the dogs, or as a couple. We particularly enjoyed the picturesque views and rural feel whilst lodging in a stunning building with an abundance of history. The property itself is immaculate with everything you could ever need for a comfortable stay. With the owners living just next door, it was easy to communicate and ask any questions not covered by the comprehensive property manual. This AirBnB truly is countryside chic, which we enjoyed. I would though be mindful that the nearest town is 15-20 minutes drive so stocking up on all goodies prior to arrival is advised in our experience. The check-in process is very simple and the owners couldn’t be more helpful. Thank you for the stay! Even better if: - Small issue with the shower flooding - Increased lighting by the hot tub area - Hot tub is wood fired & takes hours to empty then fill then heat. Perhaps the owners could help facilitate ahead.

We had a lovely peaceful stay! The property is spotless, welcoming and has everything you could possibly need. It’s extremely thoughtfully designed and furnished and in a stunning setting. The hosts were lovely and knowledgeable about the area and the thorough guidebook is so helpful! The hot tub is relaxing, beds are super comfortable and the absolute ideal for us was how dog safe and enclosed the garden area is. Couldn’t have asked for anything else and thoroughly recommend such a wonderful stay!

An amazing space in a great location! The hosts have clearly put a lot of work into creating this space, every detail was considered and we had everything we needed. We had booked a private chef to come and cook us a meal and the kitchen had everything that could have been needed. Hot tub was amazing and great that logs were provided for this. Highly recommend!

Perfect! The location is beautiful, you can see local wildlife and sitting out at night looking at the stars. The house is exactly like the picture's, everything you needed was there. The bedrooms were bigger then we expected, also a modern bathroom. The kitchen was so easy to use. The hosts left a fun guide and we highly recommend using the suggestions, we definitely did for food. The host came and welcomed us in with their adorable dog. It was beautiful part to visit and I'd happily go again.

This is a lovely cottage which has been lovingly restored, in a beautiful, quiet setting. Every detail of the cottage has been carefully considered and we found we had absolutely everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Our host was on hand and exceptionally helpful and responded quickly if we had any queries. The hot tub was a great feature, and (unlike many places) the wood was included in the price. Just be aware that it can take 3-4 hours to heat up, so plan for that if you want to use it on the day of your arrival. All in all this is one of the few places that I would highly recommend, knowing that it will not disappoint.

Fantastic property in a wonderful location if you are looking for peace and tranquility. The property itself has been done to a very high standard and has everything you could possibly want. Especially in the kitchen. Very well equipped. The owners came and said hello but kept there distance. They just wanted you to know they were there if needed. The only issue we had was the key box code hadn’t been shared with us so we had to ring the out of hours help line. But the lady was super helpful and sent the code straight through. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. Great for walks, great for cycling and perfect for getting away from it all.

An immaculate cottage in an amazing location. The property has the WOW factor. The hosts had thought of everything that you could need in this beautifully presented cottage. The spacious tastfully decorated interior was only matched by the beautiful surrounding countryside. We didn't want to leave. The addition of the hot tub meant that we could enjoy the well kept grounds even on a very chilly April weekend. Fantastic stay!

Beautiful location and stay! The house was lovely and clean and has been designed to a high standard. Perfect location for some great days out. Honor and Alex were great and very friendly. We all loved the hot tub. Our kids loved playing on the large top field and trampoline. Perfect location for star gazing on a clear night. We had a really enjoyable stay, would highly recommend!
