Lovely clean, bright cottage in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The bed and sofa was very comfortable and the dog was catered for with blankets so that he could cosy up on the sofa with us. The fire was a nice touch and the bathroom was lovely and clean with an excellent shower. The kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you for a lovely long weekend.

We had a wonderful stay at Kestrel Cottage. It can be challenging finding a place that's suitable for a large dog, but this place was ideal. There's a secure patio and a large (shared) garden. There's a nice walk along the fields just outside the cottage and Happisburgh Beach is only a few minutes away (super dog-friendly). Check-in was seamless, the host was responsive and the place was clean and tidy with all the amenities you could need. Very comfortable stay!

Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely little cottage. The views across the fields were serene. Felt right at home listening to the owls hooting of a night. Would definitely recommend.

Charming, spacious lodge surrounded by peaceful countryside Positive: Kestrel Cottage was a gem of a find! Tucked away with a few other similar properties overlooking countryside, but a short drive to the beach. The property was very spacious, clean and with a modern, neutral decor. We loved the fact we had a courtyard with views overlooking countryside, somewhere to sit and enjoy breakfast and a cuppa in the morning sun, and to watch the sunset at the end of the day. We also heard tawny owls calling out from surrounding trees at dusk. It was ideally located for Cromer and Norwich, and close to Happisburgh beach too. Negative: Kestrel Cottage could benefit with a fan in the summer months. It was very warm at night time! This isn't a negative point of Kestrel Cottage- but just be prepared to drive everywhere. Happisburgh is a small village with not a lot of eating choices - you are required to drive out of the village for supplies/food or bring food with you.

Perfect size and furnishings for two adults and our two dogs. Both the bed and sofa were comfy and the shower room was excellent. I will certainly look to book another long weekend away here.

Beautiful tranquil spotlessly clean cottage. Good size (actually quite a big cottage) with a really comfy cosy bed and large comfy snuggly sofa. Good size tv easy to use. Especially great for our dog as exits to little garden from lounge and bedroom which was great late at night. Really clean with all you will need for cooking and eating and really beautiful decor. If I had to say anything that would have enhanced our stay would be a brighter light in the bathroom for shaving, and we managed to get the heating on which kicked in with force and large radiators which really heated the cottage up toasty but we couldn’t get it to kick in on the thermostat when the temperature dropped. I’m sure if we needed the host would have responded within in a few minutes to help us. We just kept putting it back on. I was worried about cleaning the cups well enough as a jay cloth was supplied but no sponge scourer that I could find. But I hope I cleaned them well enough. Loved our stay would return.

Kestrel Barn was comfortable, airy and well situated to explore the broads and surrounding area. The local beach was lovely and worth the 2 mile walk to get there. The area around the accommodation was very quiet.

Lovely, peaceful accommodation within easy reach of local attractions. Drove the short way to the beach on several evenings for a walk. Could have walked there but took about 45 mins so preferred a longer walk on the beach. Fascinating to explore the groynes in the area and read about land and property lost to coastal erosion. P.S. I watered the plants several times in the outdoor area but quite a few of them were beyond saving!

Nice property, however not quite worth the price.. if another guest used your designated parking space, there were other spaces but not as convenient. The ‘welcome pack’ could use an upgrade.. however, all in all, if you’re prepared to drive, there are plenty of things to do within 30 minutes. If not, there’s nothing in walking distance..

Stayed at Kestrel cottage for a week in July. The surroundings are beautiful, very quiet and serene. The property has everything you could need and plenty of room for two. The comfortable sofa and sky are welcomed at the end of a long day walking. The only thing I think should be considered is another fan in the property, as during the heatwave one was required in the bedroom and living room.

Nice place ..worth a stay, good comms with host and stay ..had a few problems but all addressed and sorted ... A few tired areas that the owner needs to look at but over all a nice place ... quiet ...beach not far at all ... and its a lovely beach

Secluded, peaceful and cosy few days away. It met our requirements perfectly. We felt at home straight away. We enjoyed our time there and wished we had few more days.

Myself, my husband and our six month baby spent the week here. Lovely surroundings and the place was lovely to stay in and had great views would recommend the place to people with dogs or a young baby great place! :) Just a few points to mention - there is a dining table the photos don’t show it! - the area is hard water and the kettle had a lot of limescale in unfortunately. - there is a public footpath at the back so people can walk past the living room patio doors wasn’t aware at first so you might want to shut the curtains if breastfeeding / sitting in your pjs - also a addition of a fan in the property and a lamp in the living room might be nice it got quite warm some days and it would of been lovely to sit in the living room and look at the lovely views with just a lamp on instead of no lights or bright main lights :)

Positive: Ideal location for exploring all the wonderful Norfolk coast between Cromer and Yarmouth

Fabulous place had everything we needed. Will definitely visit again. Our dog loved the big open garden.
