Amazing spot to stay for a few days so close to city and local amenities

Was amazing

Positive: We liked the modern furnishings and decor, the property was also very spacious. A nice addition of the coffee machine and the check in instructions were clear as well as being easy to follow. All rooms had been cleaned to a good standard. Negative: Unfortunately the WiFi did not work all the time whilst at the property, I am not sure if this was due to all of us being connected to it at the same time but I would have thought this would have been catered for with it being able to host up to 5 guests. The one parking space at the rear of the property was rather small and would be difficult for a larger car to access/use. Thankfully the car we had was small enough for it. Some of the towels that had been provided had stains/marks on them before we used them, which was a bit disappointing to see.

Overall very enjoyable Positive: Very clean and well appointed in a good location. Negative: Second parking space unusable for all but the smallest of vehicles. Would have liked to see fresh milk and possibly bread in the welcome pack (could charge a little more to cover the cost)

Very well presented property. Ideal for our needs with two dogs, Grandma and the boy. Good location for visiting Durham and accessing local dog walks. Great showers which is always a bonus.

House was a convenient location for our stay, it was clean and had everything we needed. Only downside was the second parking space at the back of the property which was extremely tight to get into as it had brick walls on both sides of the narrow path but we were grateful for the space and the coverage of cameras for both cars.

Great communication in the lead up to our stay and what a delight when we arrived! Everything so clean and tidy. An excellent base for exploring the North East. Not much in the way of facilities in Burnhope itself except for the friendly and welcoming cricket club next door. The only (tiny) issue was the dodgy WiFi internet connection.

Have to say we were all very impressed with this property which exceeded our expectations. The house was extremely clean and well equipped for a home from home stay. We used this house as a base for visiting Beamish and would highly recommend as a place to stay.

A very well presented and comfortable house with easy parking right by the door in a quiet spot just off the village main road. Lovely sitting room area and nice dining set up. Nice to have some milk and tea and coffee already in but close to a local shop . We really felt it was ideal for our stay for visiting durham .

we had a wonderful stay, house was beautiful, clean and tidy. lovely house, in a great location we were visiting Beamish the living museum and the house was in a nice distance for this. we also visited the Garage bar and grille which was within walking distance and also dog friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay, the house was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay.

This is a lovely house, very clean and cosy.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house, the beds were comfy and the house was lovely and warm. There is a little shop within walking distance, and all the basics were supplied including towels, hair dryer and WiFi. Super close to Beemish and other local attractions, would heartily recommend.

Extremely clean and comfortable. Just a comment on behalf of the vertically challenged. We found the bathroom mirrors too high to see through.

Lovely and quiet - WiFi could have been a bit faster, but clean and warm and quiet

The house itself was lovely and clean and in a nice quiet area. The host was also very quick to respond to any queries. I would not hesitate to recommend the house and host.
