Brilliantly located for all Saltburn amenities and a great bolthole for a couple seeking comfort and a touch of luxury. Positive: The decor, huge comfy bed, great bathroom, homely living room with a fabulous settee with plenty of space for a couple to chill out on. The location of the property is excellent too. Negative: The 4pm check in and 10am check out times.

We had a beautiful stay in Saltburn and found the apartment the perfect size for two. Everything was clean and tidy and the location was just a minute away from the shops and local conveniences, with the beach and seaside a short stroll. We would love to come back one day and thank you for your hospitality. We've had the nicest holiday in a long time!

A great apartment for a single person or a couple. Nicely decorated and a very comfy king size bed! The apartment is perfect for Saltburn shops & cafés. It is only a few minutes from the beach. Parking is free and plentiful - I parked right outside the front door.

Good value for money, great location and Milton Street has everything! The apartment has everything you need, Positive: Great location and ease of on street parking. Cozy bed and underfloor heating. Negative: Signage or instruction to get to the property could be improved. We spent a while trying to get into the wrong apartment! The kitchen is a bit musty, but it is a basement flat. The heated towel rail needs fixing.

Good value and beautiful area. Under floor hewring was lovlely bit did leave a few damp patches in the kitchen floor. Could use an extractor fan as sofa and bed linen felt damp on arrival

I stayed two weeks in the Airbnb for a business tripp. The Apartment was super clean and the bed very comfortable. I really enjoyed the underfloor heating. But in the bathroom is no underfloor heating, so it was really cold in the bathrom, especially the floor, because the Apartment is in the basement of the building.

Lovely stay local to the sea. We went to Milton street market (in a church) for tea it was a good evening. Apartment was also a perfect size and relaxing energy. Thank you :)

The apartment was well presented very clean. The decor was lovely very quirky could not fault that . the only thing was when you opened the wardrobe and cupboards it smelled damp didn’t put my clothes in also no carpet on the bottom stairs uneven stones my husband felt a bit unsteady the fire door half way down the stairs doesn’t fit properly

Lovely stay, would stay again Positive: Really nice space, central location - what else can I say! Negative: There was only 1 toilet roll, we had to buy a pack because we needed a tiny bit more (luckily shop doen the road). And the other thing was that I was spammed with messages about purchasing extras/ hiring a chef etc... once is enough!

We had a good time, Saltburn has lots to offer and the apartment is a good base to enjoy it. Positive: This property was in a perfect location for us, very close to all the shops, cafe bars, restaurants and other activities Saltburn has to offer. Plenty of free parking close by. Very clean, cosy and well presented with quirky touches, this apartment has everything you need for a few days away. The super king bed is very comfortable, but easy to bang your toes or shins on the carved bed ends. There are a few steps, but good handrails. Negative: The front of the property could do with a bit of a touch up, but any doubts this raised were very quickly dispelled once inside. The owners are in the midst of renovating the three apartments to a high standard.

This was our first visit to Saltburn and we loved it. Such a gorgeous little seaside town, very quiet and peaceful. The air BnB was in a perfect location - very easy to walk into the town and down to the beach. The BnB itself was lovely; very nicely decorated and cosy inside. It was a little cold as it was in the basement, however this was welcomed due to the very hot weather at the time! Thanks for hosting us :)

Lovely area to visit I enjoyed the coastal walks along the Cleveland Way. Staithes is a beautiful place to visit and everywhere is reachable by bus. there is a supermarket within two minutes walk, it’s all very convenient.the accommodation is well equipped and comfortable .

Great place! Stayed for the bank holiday and couldn’t have picked a better place, walkable to the beach and local pubs etc. only downside was us being unable to plug our fire stick into either of the tvs so we’re limited to free view tv but wasn’t a huge issue as we were out in the sun majority of the time. Will definitely be staying again

Positive: The apartment was very clean and tidy. Very homely and decorated very well. Had everything we needed and was 5 mins walk to the shops and beach. Will definitely book again. The owner answered any questions we had very quickly and their online guide to the apartment was very helpful. Negative: Ermmmm... Nothing we didn't like.

We have stayed twice and will always stay here. It is immaculate. Tea coffee and milk supplied as are sponges fairy liquid and tea towels. Bath towels too.

Comfortable apartment in a great location. We had planned to come by train and this would have worked as the railway station is a few mins walk from the flat. We had a change of plan and drove and had no trouble parking. The apartment is a basement and so a bit dark but it didn’t feel gloomy. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The basement flat was lovely, it was clean, tidy, spacious. The kitchen had everything you need to make meals and eat in. We felt at home as soon as we came inside the flat.

So walking through the main door the hallway comes across a bit grim... sloppy paint work.. dark... exposed electrics etc... but once inside the accommodation we liked it and felt right at home... very clean... we liked the little open plan layout... perfect for short stay.... Comfy Sofa... Very Comfy bed... Kitchen had everything we needed... felt cosy... about cosy... the heating... so there is underfloor heating in the living room and bedroom... there is also radiators... but radiators these never came on... TRV's on both Radiators where up full.... the bathroom had an electric towel rail but it was dead.. spur on etc but nothing... I reported this to Host & Stay but no solution was offered... TV's quite old no Smart'ness.. NetFlix etc... 4pm Check in and 10pm Check out seems mean... felt rushed on our final morning.. OW! so the little blind in the bathroom opens directly into the kitchen.. theres no glass!! so any odours or sound effects will be recieved in either direction 🤣

Would definitely stay here again of went back to Saltburn. Negative: Check in 4.00pm No complementary toiletries as advertised, not a major issue as Sainsburys over the road.

What a superb apartment in Saltburn. Positive: Lovely basement apartment in the heart of Saltburn. In very close proximity to numerous bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants. There is a Spar and a Sainsbury's within a 3 minute walk and a railway station ( trains to Middlesboro etc) just as close. Free parking right outside the door... Negative: The only minor niggle would be that we weren't able to get the heated towel rail to operate.

POOR Positive: The only thing that satisfied us was that the weather in Saltburn was fine that day, and it had nothing to do with the hotel. Negative: The air quality in this room is extremely poor. If you want to catch lung cancer or get tuberculosis, this is the place for you. The kitchenware in the kitchen has a musty smell. And the most important thing is that this room is actually in a basement, with no sunlight at all. Passengers who want to live in a dungeon can choose this (and the situation of this basement was something we didn't know in advance). The landlord's service is extremely poor. This is the worst part. After booking, we couldn't agree on the check-in and check-out times. I said I wanted to cancel the order, but the landlord didn't agree. I changed all my schedules according to his forced check-in time (he even wouldn't allow me to store my luggage). Finally, the check-out was only a few minutes late, and I was charged the full room rate for the entire day again! Oh! In addition, the cleaning fee for their apartment also needs to be paid separately!!

Had a great long weekend in Saltburn. The flat is spotlessly clean, has everything we needed. Warm and cosy. It is a basement flat so can be a little dark but has some quirky lighting so more than makes up for it. Loved it. You won’t be disappointed. Plenty of shops and the beach is a 5 minute stroll away. Just a had a fantastic 3 night stay at The Key of Sea apartment. The apartment is beautiful and absolutely pristine and spotlessly clean with lovely and quirky furniture. Everything thing about it is gorgeous, from the bedroom to the shower room to the living and kitchen area, just immaculate. Host and stay were fantastic in keeping us updated with all relevant information in making our stay a very memorable one. A special mention to Charlie at host and stay as well for all the updates and information, it was very much appreciated . Cosy place in Saltburn Positive: The apartment was clean and tidy. The bed was really big and comfortable. Even though it is a basement apartment there is enough light in the living room during the day. The apartment has a great location with everything within a few minutes walk. Really nice place to stay. Negative: Would be good to have a lamp on the table in the window as in the evening it's a bit dark when eating here.

This is the 3rd place that we have stayed in slatburn and we think the best! great location, easy to walk to nearby amenities and very quite location given that there is a variety of traffic, people walking and the train line. host was very easy & responsive to any questions that we had. We plan on coming back to this appartment!

Gorgeous apartment. Spotlessly clean apartment, very tastefully decorated, with all the accoutrements needed for any eventuality, lovely large sofa and super king French bed was very comfortable, the underfloor heating was a plus, parking right outside, shops 50 meters and beach 5 only minutes walk away, all in all very enjoyable, we had a lovely stay and will certainly be back 😊

While Host & Stay were a good company to deal with, the apartment itself was in need of a deep clean. The sofa smelled terrible and needs either replacing or a deep clean, the main room had a heavy musty smell. It looks like it used to be the cellar to the main house. The smell was so bad, i ended up feeling ill from it. I booked for a quiet stay while i was in the uk looking after my Mum. I didn't get that as the immediate neighbours had no consideration. I feel let down by it and it wasnt worth the money. Sorry.

The apartment was easy to find with convenient street parking, though this might be challenging during busy times. Accessing the building via the key in a lockbox was straightforward. However, upon entering the apartment, there was a musty smell, possibly due to it being a cellar conversion. The kitchen and living room were spacious and the bathroom appeared new. Unfortunately, the accommodation was let down by a lack of cleanliness. The carpets and skirting boards seemed neglected, but the most disturbing issue was the bed frame. On lifting the mattress, I found a large accumulation of hair and dust along the head of the bedframe, indicating it hadn't been cleaned for some time, supporting images confirm this. The most disappointing aspect was being required to pay for insurance immediately after booking, with the key code withheld until payment was made. This unexpected charge should have been disclosed at checkout. Due to these issues I would chose not to stay here again.

Great location, easy access, clean and mostly well equipped. Instructions for appliances could have Positive: Spotlessly clean, imaginatively furnished and decorated. Negative: Uncomfortable dining chairs and sofa. Instructions for induction hob missing - could not get it to work. Couldn’t get grill to work either because of inadequate instructions. Despite following instructions for heating, the radiators did not respond. I can’t complain about the lack of natural light because I knew when I booked that it was a basement flat, but I should have anticipated the drawback of this.

This was our first time with booking using Airbnb. everything went better than ever imagined. location was great. Property was beautiful and comms throughout were brilliant! want to go back!

Shame about the Administration, had they been good the stay could have been half good. Positive: The flat really is beautifully done up, it has most things you would expect and need. It’s also very close to the station and the Sainsbury’s. The bed is very comfortable and you get two massive large screen TVs. You can adjust the room temperature yourself which was much appreciated. Negative: The flat is in the basement, had I know that before, I would not have booked it. Basements freak me out. The bathroom door did not close and the towels were super small. However, the real downer here was the administration. The company they employ is unprofessional, snotty, patronising people with crying children in the background who clearly are nowhere near the UK and who have no idea how to help you with anything. They say on the website you should pay a deposit when booking which I did and they immediately took the whole money without notifying me first which made me very suspicious. Then they asked me to pay £240 deposit for breakage cover for a 2 night stay! That is 120% of the total price I paid, they will not give you the access information until you paid. I did not trust them at all and I would stay away from them at all costs!

Easy on road parking and good location.

Lovely, cosy apartment. Close to all amenities with free parking. Big, comfy bed. Advertised as having a washing machine and dryer in the apartment, however there is not one. Due to it being a basement apartment, there was a damp smell from the cupboards in the kitchen. Also no lock on the bathroom door and it doesn't close all the way due to it being a sliding wooden door. We had to use the bin in the bathroom to hold the door shut. Overall 4/5 stars due to comfort and location. One star knocked due to false advertisement regarding the washing machine and damp smell.

The flat? It's fine. The company? I'll gHost and Stay away. Positive: The flat was well equipped, clean and tidy. Designed by a follower of Buddha. Street parking (in winter) was available nearby. Top Tip - take your own illumination if you want to read in the lounge. Negative: Big doubts about the company. They needed to be prompted on the arrival day for access details. Turns out they use another company to 'verify your identity' and take £250 deposit off your credit card. Then they have the cheek to charge a non-refundable £10, The clue's in the company name - Superhog! Then they needed another prompt, a week after the stay, to return the deposit.

Lovely little basement flat. Very cosy and comfortable. Close to the seafront and all the local shops and restaurants. Had a great weekend stay here!

Positive: Quiet location! Negative: Website shows a bright clean app. Reality was it was dark and gloomy and rather grubby in places. I managed to get hot water in bathroom sink once in 2 days. Was hit with an extra £25 payment after we had booked and paid. Do not know why you need 19 emails during booking and after!

Sofa damp Linen clean but pillows very poor - one very lumpy the other smelt of sweat. Dirty glass in cupboard with mould in it. Overpriced & extra charge waiver fee- made it a most as expensive as the hotel which included breakfast.

Good stay in Saltburn but reservations about the requirement for a deposit and non refundable fee. Negative: The issue we had was with the management company Host and Stay which required from us a non refundable £25 payment or an up front refundable payment of £250 plus a non refundable £10 fee for admin . These charges were not made explicit on the Booking.com listing of the property and notified to us after booking. Our apartment stay in Whitby the day before was excellent with no hidden charges or deposit. We also experienced a barrage of fine print emails from the company - we had 27 in total which was not conducive to a relaxing break. We have still not received the deposit 8 days since we got home although we have been notified it will be returned

A lovely basement flat, a bit bohemian but with all the mod cons. Just like home from home, it had everything you needed. The bed was particularly comfy. Well placed for the beach, a Spar and Sainsbury's on the doorstep, and plenty of takeaways a short walk away.
