Just returned from a three night weekend stay in this lovely property. Our party of 6 (three senior couples) particularly enjoyed the spacious communal areas, whilst quietly celebrating my husbands 70th Birthday. The house is very well equipped, maintained and exceptionally clean. All three bedrooms were ensuite, which suited our group perfectly, we felt it was exceptional value for money. Host communicated very well, highly recommend and plan to return. Keep up the good work.

Very enjoyable stay, well placed for pubs, eateries and shops. Positive: Extremely close to the centre of Alnwick. House was superb very cozy, with everything you would need. Negative: Bathrooms were very small, 2 of our group were over 6 foot and found difficulty using the bathroom facilities.

Excellent house, really well equipped and fantastic space to relax in with friends. Ideal location to enjoy Alnwick and Northumberland. Would definitely book again. Perfect for a group of friends Positive: The house is very warm, welcoming and well styled. Each bedroom was spacious with plenty of storage and an en-suite bathroom. The kitchen-diner was huge and very well equipped. It was the perfect place for gathering and socialising. Being situated in the heart of Alnwick, it is an easy walk to shops, restaurants and places of interest. Negative: None of the en-suite bathrooms have doors! The downstairs cloakroom did have a door, but no lock. We also ran out of toilet roll and couldn't find fresh supplies. We all found the mattresses and pillows to be too firm. The property is situated on a very busy, noisy road.

Accommodation was perfect for 3 couples. It was an ideal location, big enough and everything we required the property had. kitchen fully equipped. Felt like home from home. The property is beautifully presented, clean and tidy. Due to location opposite a pub, ear plugs are a must, unless you are a deep sleeper, or don’t mind a bit of karaoke. Unfortunately we had a night of some dreadful singing!!! Overall a great weekend and regardless of the bad singing we would stay again. ☺️

Short break in Alnwick We were travelling with friends for a short break as part of my 60th birthday celebrations. There is no on site parking at the property but there is a lot of free parking available very close to the property with stays up to 24hrs, there was no problem getting spaces for our 3 cars. The property is on 3 floors, there is a great open plan kitchen/ diner and there was a really good selection of glasses and crockery. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and cosy, but there were no doors on the toilets upstairs, but there is on the downstairs toilet. It is close to the town centre and there are many good restaurants. We ate in the Thia restaurant Leo, it was excellent and the Market Tavern was also very good, both are recommended. Alnwick is a lovely town and has some lovely shops and Barter books is a must visit, it is fantastic. Alnwick castle is also worth a visit. Lovely beaches at Warkworth and at Amble. It's a great area and we will definitely be back.

Short break in Northumberland We had a short stay with four of our friends in Alnwick, visiting Bamburgh castle, Lindisfarne, Alnwick and Cragside

Fabulous place to stay in a convenient central location, within a few footsteps of the main shopping street with lots of places to eat. Lots of beautiful beaches and castles all very local. The house was very homely, clean and so well equipped, we didn’t feel like there was anything missing. We were a family of 6, and the house provided enough space that we weren’t on top of one another. Very tastefully decorated period property with a modern feel. Very clear arrival instructions and plenty of free places to park close by, we didn’t need to contact the host whilst there but knew they were easy to get hold of should we need to. Alnwick Castle is well worth a visit, as is Bamburgh Castle with its beautiful beach. Would definitely return and would highly recommend.

a fantastic family stay in Alnwick. Great location, right in the centre of town, though as a result it can be a bit noisy with traffic and the pub opposite but honestly not a problem for us! Lovely home, kitchen especially was beautiful.

Beautifully decorated and presented, top quality furnishings and decor. Kitchen is great for a family and has everything you could think of and, again, no scrimping on quality.

A lovely property right in the town centre walkable to everywhere. We found parking easily round the corner everyday . The beds were very comfortable with lovely bedding . Ideal for 3 couples with 3 en-suites . Wonderful social and well equipped kitchen and utility room. Having read the reviews I was prepared and took ear plugs as the pub directly across the street has karaoke on Friday and Saturday night, other than it was very peaceful . We will definitely come back ! We arrived on Christmas Eve at 7pm to no heating, but with lots of communication we were warm within an hour and a half .

Fabulous house in a great location. It was spotless, cosy, well equipped and right in the middle of town. We had a great stay and enjoyed our New Year celebrations immensely! Would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyable stay in a very comfortable and well located house. Positive: The location was ideal for the town of Alnwick, but also a wonderful base from which to explore the natural beauty of Northumbria. The beds were very comfortable and the bedlinen really good quality. The kitchen was excellent and had everything we could have wanted. Negative: It is very good that each room has been created to have it's own en suite, but the basins were a little small in which to be able to shave etc.

Fantastic location in the heart of Alnwick, a perfect base for Northumberland adventures. Character property with a modern feel, very comfortable.

Lovely house (the kitchen is dreamy) and location, very walkable to a free car park, shops and restaurants. Wasn’t so happy about the extra £25 insurance I was messages about form the host to pay on top of the booking cost (but felt obliged to pay it), spoke to air b&b who were saying conflicting info on this. Was for my fathers birthday so didn’t want to loose the property late in the day. But over all really liked the property.

A beautiful house …well equipped, very central and within reach of so many lovely places to visit. Carlo s fish and chips and Lilberts restaurant both a must to visit! The hosts were helpful and responsive! Would definitely revisit!

We had a great stay in Alnwick. The house was in a good location and the town has lots to offer. It was good to be able to walk to different sights from the house.

There were four of us, two couples, individually and as twosomes, we were very impressed with the property. What's important is our comfort within the beds, access to the different rooms, supplies within the kitchen. This property excelled in all of those areas. Communication was as close as expected to immediacy.If there is a return to Alnwick,we will look to book again.

What a stunning place to stay. Beautiful furnished and decorated. 3 lovely generous doubles with en-suite. The road as busy as in town centre, but quiet at night, although no parking at the house , having a lay-by at the front to be able to unload, and then a public carpark just up the hill at the back of the property means it’s not an issue,

It has an excellent location in Alnwick, close to good restauraunts and plenty of parking. Communication prior to arrival with Host and Staywas very good with quick responses to any queries we might have. We will certainly return.

Great central town house stay in the wonderul Alnwick Positive: Lovely stylish property in a great central location. Negative: Toilets were a bit tight. Beds were not split as requested. No stair gate to stop dogs going upstairs so we had to make our own.

Clean, comfortable property in the centre of Alnwick. Positive: Clean, comfortable, well decorated property in the centre of Alnwick, with easy access to the town's amenities. Clean, comfortable bedrooms with ensuite shower room. Well equipped kitchen with all the required mod cons. Good wi fi signal. Negative: Ensuite shower rooms had no door, which we found somewhat uncomfortable ... There was only one key to the property so, as two couples, we had to use the keysafe around the corner. Not a major problem, but a little inconvenient.

Wonderful home in perfect location for walking and sighting. The home had everything to make our stay relaxing. It was easy to find, central location and just perfect in every way. We will definitely be returning.

Really enjoyable, lovely property, in a great location Positive: Location and property overall was brilliant. Alnwick is a lovely town and this accommendation was right in the middle of the town! The property was clean, with lovely furnishings, great kitchen/diner area and comfy beds Negative: The two toilet/shower areas that served each of the two 1st floor bedrooms, did not have a door! This affected privacy when using the facilities. Also the stud wall position made the toilet/wash basin area quite narrow. I personally could not sit on the loo in a straight position and had to turn my legs to the left or the right! It is a pity the stud wall was not positioned a further 200-300mm out from its current position, there is room to do this. Overall a minor issue and it would not stop me staying at this lovely venue again!

Absolutely excellent cottage for a base to explore Alnwick and the North East. Very well equipped with good quality items. Great location, peaceful, clean and comfortable with a great attic 'den' that my daughter loved. Helpful communications and instructions from the host

We stayed here as we were in the area for a family wedding. The accommodation was clean, as described and in a great location. I just wanted to note some things for anyone staying in future: - there are no doors on the en-suites - there isn’t a door to the top bedroom or that en-suite so the top bedroom lacks privacy as the landing stairs lead straight into the bedroom - host said toilet roll isn’t provided but we found it was (?) - if you want to park for more than 24 hours you will need to park in the long stay car park on Howling Lane and walk to the accommodation. Host made it sound like parking was closer and didn’t give any other suggestions so it took us a little while to work out what to do

We enjoyed our stay in a beautiful property and great location. Positive: For 2 couples it was very well equipped with en-suites. Beds were so comfortable. The place was spotless. Negative: There was no parking on the street. The en-suites were immaculate but very tight to use and small sinks.

We stayed as a family of 5 with a small dog. Plenty of space and amenities for us all. Great kitchen with everything we needed. Pub across the way was quite noisy in the night so something to consider if you have young children but it didn’t keep ours awake! We had a great stay and everything was a short walk away and a short car journey to Alnmouth beach. Would recommend

Beautiful house. Clean and tidy, exactly as in the listing. Very responsive hosts. Had a lovely stay with easy walks in to town and plenty of free parking. There’s so much to do in the surrounding area. Pub opposite is noisy on Fri and Sat nights and there was a surprising amount of traffic noise at night too. If you’re staying with someone else in your room then be aware that the en-suite is very narrow and has no door.

Very comfortable stay. The property was well equipped and in a great location to access all Alnwick has to offer. Communication throughout was excellent. I warmly recommend the property to other visitors.

Lovely house, well appointed and fabulous kitchen and comfortable beds. Great to have en-suite in each bedroom although they were slightly tight on space. No recycling facilities, only one bin outside. Great location with all Alnwick attractions walkable. Also easy access to lots of other towns.

Superb property in a great location in a wonderful historic town. Positive: Very tastefully refurbished and decorated proprety in an excellent location in the centre of Alnwick. Lovely lounge and spacious kitchen. Lots of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Negative: The ensuite bathrooms were very narrow and did not have doors, which meant that privacy was compromised. This was a real shame as otherwise the property was absolutely perfect.

Lovely house in the town centre a 2 min walk to the castle and gardens - we visited both. House is really nicely done, the kitchen was amazing. The only thing we struggled a little with was the sloping roof in the upstairs bathroom but everything else was perfect. Thanks to for a lovely holiday

Fabulous property! Positive: Great location, beautifully decorated clean house with everything you need. Negative: The only slight downside would be the traffic noise outside but for a 2 night stay it was just a minor issue.

Lovely house with great facilities, especially the kitchen. Very clean and well maintained. Convenient location, minutes from the castle, gardens and town. Parking no problem later in the day or early morning and it's free! The only downside is the noise from the pub opposite late into the night on Friday and Saturday nights.

Ideally located in the town, and easy to walk to everything, be it to visit the castle, take a wander over to Barter Books or just take a stroll through the town. The place is beautifully furnished and just like the photos. No complaints but anyone sensitive to nighttime noise should be aware that it is centrally located so there may be a little noise. Also, as another reviewer has mentioned, space is tight in the bathrooms. These weren’t issues for us and we had a great stay.

Lovely house very close to amenities in Alnwick. Positive: Great location, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable . Really clean, good shower, plenty hot water. Negative: House very hot upstairs, made sleeping difficult, however appreciate it was a particularly hot weekend. Didn't open windows due to noise from street below. Would prefer a door on ensuite for privacy. Difficult to brush teeth as glass shelf above sink too low. Very noisy outside due to close proximity of pubs and windows not double glazed.

Great location, immaculately clean, comfortable beds, had everything we needed. Host was very responsive and always answered within about 5 minutes. A really lovely house in such a beautiful town, with a place to pull your car over outside to unload, and walking distance to the castle and garden and a super town. Be aware that the existing louvre blinds on the bedrooms, while smart, do not adequately cut out light and noise at night. It was difficult to get to sleep because of the light and because there was karaoke in the pub opposite until 12.30 on Friday and Saturday. In the top bedroom, there is no door on the bathroom, and there are two Velux windows above the opening to the bathroom which have no blinds on them, so when the sun started to rise at 4am the room was flooded with light. We have fed back to the host that blinds should be added here - we simply couldn't get a decent night's sleep, and sadly we wouldn't stay here again because of that.

Loved our stay here, hopefully will be back soon! House was ideally situated for exploring the local area. Town centre and the friendliest pub ever just on the doorstep. Everything was spotlessly clean with comfortable big beds and good linen, fast wifi throughout the house. Kitchen is well equipped with quality appliances and crockery. Free parking nearby and a drop off area outside the door. Communication was perfect and our hosts provided an app giving clear information on the property and places to see in the area. Their attention to detail even included the provision of games and books.

Noisey Positive: Lovely house, with everything you need. Really comfy, well decorated and fantastic location in Alnwick. Lovely large kitchen/dinning room and bedrooms. Negative: It was really noisey. Busy road outside, the lounge and bedroom windows face onto this Also the pub across the road has karaoke on Friday and Saturday night and this was really loud. It was hot sleeping bout couldn’t open window due to noise. We didn’t sleep well which was shame as fab otherwise. Would have liked more directions where to park.

Positive: Location and accommodation were ideal Negative: The information on where to find the lock box for the key was poorly communicated by Host & Stay. Although part of a comprehensive guide it should have been clearly messaged in an email or text, as other information was, without having to review a multi page document.

Positive: The central location of the property meant Alnwick was easily accessible on foot.. The house is very comfortable and beautifully kept. Negative: Unfortunately the road noise is a little intrusive as the rush hour builds.

Great property and great location. Very clean and tidy with quirky top floor bathroom. Would definitely recommend and return. Our only suggestion would be for blinds on the two velux windows in the attic bedroom as it gets light early with no covering on those windows. Thank you.

The house was lovely, perfectly placed in a central location close to everything you came to Alnwick for. Alnwick Castle and Gardens a short walk away. Barter books just down thr Road. Thr playhouse across the street and close to well reviewed pubs and restaurants. The house was lovely, just as described, However, we did find there was an issue with the electrics. On 3 occasions, the downstairs sockets stopped working which knocked out the fridge, kettle, Internet etc. This proved a bit troublesome but luckily I knew how to get it back on in the fuse box. Something that needs addressing for future stays. overall I was happy with the accommodation.

Beautiful well appointed house, with a contemporary look. Central location in the town. After a 6 and a half hour journey, we found we couldn't open the door to the house. After speaking to Host & Stay a locksmith arrived who eventually got us into the property causing a further delay. The house itself is stunning with a beautiful kitchen diner with everything you need. Lovely large bedrooms. The only downside to this property are the ensuite rooms. Let's just say sizewise they were very challenging and didn't have doors on them as were so narrow!

Great house, great facilities, amenities equipment, very clean. Alnwick nice town and very good for touring the north east costal areas. Would defiantly return. Few points to note if being very picky: - Hall to Kitchen door, quite east to bang your head if over 6ft, solution do it once and bend down more. Ceilings in Attic on suite quite low. - there was an issue with electric tripping the kitchen sockets, happened a few times, reported the guys they said they will check. No big issue just reset the switch

A beautiful house for our long weekend. Beautifully decorated and furnished. The beds were really comfy. Everything was spotlessly clean. We had a very short walk to Alnwick’s shops, pubs and restaurants. Would highly recommend this property.

Great place to stay for visiting places locally. Lovely house, great size kitchen and bedrooms. Beds were so comfortable with lovely pillows and linens. If I’m being picky the on suites were a little tight but still good, as I would rather have one than not 😀 There is a small space outside the house we used to drop off and unload and there’s plenty of free parking near by.

Excellent location. There are a few loudish pubs across the road but didn't bother us at all. Kitchen and supplies were excellent. Loved the ensuite in every room.

Fantastic house, right in the centre of town with free parking nearby. Gorgeous inside with the best equipped kitchen we have seen. Superb location for a break with so much to do nearby. Would love to stay here again.

Pleasant and Comfortable Positive: Very central location - walking distance to shops, dining out and local attractions. Very well presented, equipped and warm clean property. Reading material and local info plentiful, cleaning and hot drinks items provided. Kitchen area impressive. Spacious bedrooms with large beds and some drawer space. Showers very good. Negative: No wardrobes in bedrooms but wall pegs provided to hang clothes on. Very compact en-suites in the two 1st floor bedrooms - difficult to manoeuvre to use toilet. Very small sinks. No doors to both 1st floor en/suits and 2nd floor bathroom, compromising privacy.

Great location for touring the area and well equipped and clean apartment. Positive: Great location, comfortable accommodation that was so clean and well equipped. Negative: A seco0nd key would have been very useful. Oven did not operate and fan in downstairs toilet didnt work.

Very good all round! We had a fabulous time. The house is wonderful and beautifully kitted out (very tasteful), especially in the kitchen.

The property was very clean and spacious and very well equipped although the previous occupants kitchen rubbish had not been emptied - an important oversight. Beds were extremely comfortable. It is very central to Alnwick, just yards from the Playhouse and transport. However there is a very noisy pub right across the road with karaoke nights on Friday and Saturday so unless you want to join in be warned.

The house is very well equipped nicely decorated in a Central location. Very noisy at times as single glazed windows. But everything within walking distance and great accommodation. Loved Alnwick it’s a great place to visit.

Stunning property Positive: Absolutely stunning property a real WOW! Great central location decorated to show home standard with everything possible you could ever need and much much more.I loved it so much i could have stayed forever. It is ideally situated close to many Bars and Restaurants and a great base for touring Northumberland but after our days out sightseeing we were happy to get back to the house and chill out with a bottle of wine it was so cosy would definitely recommend this property 100%. Negative: We had to leave 🤣
