Great sleep, warm, comfortable, great location, 3 toilets and 2 showers. Perfect. Positive: Location excellent - 5 minutes to the Gardens, 10 minutes walks to town and Barter Books, 15 minutes to supermarkets, 20 minutes to the Castle. In the car, 5 minutes everywhere. Town high street, and various retail parks all nearby. Lovely green location amidst trees and pastures. Estate is lovely - neighbours friendly and gardens well kept. Very quiet area. Slept blissfully and undisturbed! House had nice front lawn and nice back garden and patio with bins at patio door - very convenient for getting rid of rubbish and recyclables. Private driveway in front of garage beside front door. Lovely house. Great central heating, very comfortable and homely - felt like our actual home. 2 bathrooms - one for 2 daughters and wife (the bigger one) and the ensuite for me (dad) - great, and a secret WC in the utility room next to the kitchen (also for dad - great!!)! Dishwasher, hot water always, plenty of crockery, glasses etc. Excellent microwave! Beds so comfortable, everything clean and well presented. A fantastic, comfortable, relaxing stay in a great location. We love Alnwick, had been last year, however, staying at Homewood made it absolutely fantastic. Will absolutely stay again - amazing! Negative: Nothing. It was absolutely superb.

Positives: great and fast communications with host, friendly and amenable , nothing was too much trouble. House was good , perfect location and good size for 5 people. Had everything we needed for our stay. Negatives:1 shower was not working and did not get fixed so spent 5 days with 5 people with 1 shower which was not easy. House though lovely and good size styled very old fashioned . Couch and chairs were extremely uncomfortable to sit on . Resulting in bad backs, so not very good for relaxing in the evenings as a family. But despite that we had a lovely stay and would use again .

Fabulous family home within a few minutes walk of the town of Alnwick. Superbly sited for visiting Alnwick Gardens and Lilidorei Very clean spacious well laid out home Hosts easy to get hold off, good comms and support throughout ( Thank you Charlie ) Thoroughly recommended

Brilliant location with Alnwick Gardens, Alnwick Castle and the town centre all a short distance on foot. Really good space for a family. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Lovely, well equipped house in quite residential area. 10 minute walk to town centre, suited us well but may be an issue for anyone with mobility issues. Very kind Christmas gift bag was left for us, as a nice touch. We had trouble with the boiler but the host was responsive.

A good clean house with everything you could want, in a very convenient location in Alnwick. It is walkable into town but not quite for us but the parking is free and right in the middle of town, with good charging points for an Electric Car, which we have. The Selection of restaurants is fantastic, including Britain,s best curry house , Sher Khan , which was fantastic. We would definitely stay there again. recommended

We had a lovely stay at Homewood. The property was perfect for our needs with enough space for 4 and a dog! The property was well located within easy walking distance of Alnwick centre and Alnwick is a great place to base yourself to visit the wonderful beaches along the coast! the hosts gave great information for check in and also local information for our stay. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend!

Had a great stay at Homewood, nice spacious property in a quiet area. We had the weather so were able to sit out in the rear garden. 10min walk into Alnwick centre- plenty of pubs, shops, restaurants etc. Visted Holy Island & Bamburgh by car- highly recommended. Hired ebikes from The bike shop, Alnwick & toured Alnmouth, Warkworth, Amble- a great day out. Would recommend the property.

Fantastic location for walking into Alnwick town centre. Positive: It had everything you would need for a holiday home.Felt relaxed and comfortable in the house. Negative: There wasn’t anything to dislike about the property.

Thank you for a lovely stay, we wouldnt hesitate to stay again! Positive: Location was in a nice quiet residential area. Less than 10 minutes walk to centre of Alnwick. The house suited our needs very well. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, utensils. A very good microwave, fridge, freezer, oven and hob. Negative: There was no shaver socket in the bathrooms but as we had an adaptor we managed.

Excellent property in a great location Positive: Quiet location but easy walk into town centre. Comfortable and very well equipped. Negative: Property was very clean, tidy and well maintained, but smelled strongly of smoke in the living room for the whole stay. Appreciate this is not the fault of the owners

Great location for exploring the area. House could do with a thorough clean & update. Only very basic amenities included, one small sachet of shampoo/body wash per bathroom, no kitchen roll or towel. Sofa/chairs very uncomfortable. Was generally disappointed.

Positive: Great location just a short walk to Alnwick centre. Well-equipped house and especially appreciated electric night lights and plugboards by beds. Comfortable beds and clean house. Negative: Sitting room furniture very uncomfortable. Please get a proper couch!

We were very pleased with this accommodation. Clean, spacious, well equipped (apart from fans), very good location for Alnwick Gardens, etc. Will definitely consider it again if we return to Alnwick.

Lovely quiet location, convenient access to town, shops, and the a1 Positive: Brilliant quiet location, easy access to town and the A1 to get out and about. The dog was very chilled, but did bark a couple of times at people walking down the footpath behind the garden

Lovely house in excellent location. Positive: Lovely house excellent location for walking into Alnwick, the castle and Barter books. Well equipped kitchen, with coffee/ tea, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc., comfy beds, quiet area and good showers. Negative: It’s really a minor issue, we’d have liked a hand towel each instead of just one between us.

Great place to stay with plenty space and felt right at home. Didn’t quite realise how out of town it was. Would be absolutely fine in summer/spring but given we were staying in autumn it was dark early meaning we wouldn’t walk into town at night-we took the car which wasn’t an issue. Place is great but only two little constructive feedback points- the kitchen bin is quite small for the size of the property meaning we had to take the bin bag out of the actual bin in order to put all our rubbish in it (we were only there 3 nights). And the sofa/chairs in the living room could be doing with being more comfortable especially if you planned to spend time in the accommodation or had family round for dinner/an evening. Everything else was absolutely excellent. Thanks a lot for the stay and clear communication.

Pros: - excellent location for walking down to castles & gardens, and into town - clear and helpful instructions in folder provided - clean - comfortable Cons: - felt slightly bombarded by messages during our stay as owners clearly weren’t communicating with each other - for example, I had several different messages plus phone calls from 2 different people regarding maintenance workers coming during our stay - the quantity of amenities given during our stay was not enough - for example, one roll of toilet paper for 3 adults on a 4 night stay

Stayed here for a long weekend and overall had a lovely time. We did feel that there wasn’t enough toilet roll, shower gel or coffee pods provided for a 3 night stay for 5 people and had to go out and buy some of our own. The wifi was also very poor. Location is quiet and peaceful and the house was very clean. Lovely back garden.

Excellent location to visit many places and a short walk into Alnwick. The house had all amenities.

Homewood was a lovely place to stay. Just a short walk from Alnwick Castle and the centre of town. The place was easy to find and really clean. The host Charlie was very responsive, answered our questions and sorted something out for us really quickly. The house was comfortable and had all we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

This is a lovely property. It's neat, tidy, spacious and well-equipped, and very well situated. You can walk into Alnwick, and there's plenty of things to do in the area.

Awesome Spot to See Alnwick Gardens We were in town to see the Alnwick Gardens, and this home was perfect for that - roughly 15 minutes door to door. Also easy walking distance to Barter Bookstore, and several restaurants and grocery stores. We have 5 people, so having separate beds and 2.5 bathrooms was a great size for us. We cooked. We did laundry. We sat on the back patio enjoying the weather and the birds. Property management was responsive and helpful. Absolutely would stay here again, when visiting Alnwick.

Nice break with great weather Positive: Quiet location & within walking distance to Alnwick town centre. Negative: The sofa/chairs in the living room weren’t very comfortable but we were only there for 3 nights. On the first night just before we retired to bed we realised there was no hot water but put this down to it being quite late & maybe the water had gone cold as the home guide stated the water was on a timer, however, this was not the case as the water was still cold the next morning. The issue was reported & the engineer who called the following day to try to resolve over the phone. He did offer to come out that evening if the water was still not heating up but it was our last night & we wanted to chill. Luckily the showers were electric so water needed to shave, wash up etc had to be kettle boiled..
