We both enjoyed and happy to return Positive: Like the apartmennnt and location. Car park was convenient but not cheap. Negative: Noise from above room and noisy outside bedroom at night

The property was great in so many ways, clean, tidy, well kept, nice kitchen, good size bathroom - all apart from 1 really important point…the bed. It was so uncomfortable, myself and wife had terrible nights sleep to the point I slept better on their sofa. Such a let down given the amount of effort has been put into property to let it down so much. We ended up leaving early as the break wasnt relaxing, as both of us were incredibly tired due to the bed. I wouldn’t consider myself fussy, so don’t think these points are unfair, just being honest

Lovely AirB&B for 2 people. Very clean with everything required for a great stay. Near to restaurants and pubs. Host gave good instructions, much appreciated. I would certainly stay there again if and when visiting Whitby.

Positive: Immaculate, spacious,well situated modern, everything we needed except some hand soap.worth the money . Would definitely recommend. Negative: No hand soap.the blind strings were too high to reopen them.

we had a great stay at holmwood great location,easy access to town, carpark opposite ,well layed out apartment with everything you could need,just one thing a coat rack in hallway would be a good edition but apart from that it's a lovely apartment and good value

I had a really lovely stay here. The flat is cosy, clean, and in such a brilliant location, just a short walk from the Pavilion where I was attending a festival, and perfect for exploring Whitby. It felt like a welcoming little base to come back to after busy days. The only small thing to mention is that you can sometimes hear noise from the flat upstairs. It didn’t spoil my stay, but maybe a gentle sign for guests above would help. Overall, I’d happily come back – it’s a great spot in a wonderful town.

Great place, in an excellent location. We had little one with us, so had a pram, and the apartment was extremely easy to access. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely flat which was perfect for our 2 night stay. Clean and bright and everything explained well. Parked on silver street car park which was £9 for 24 hours. Would definitely stay here again. Jeanette, Ela and Rosie the dog !

Lovely place, well situated, clean, well equipped. Will stay here again next time in Whitby. Positive: Location is excellent, a fairly short walk to the harbour, although do remember this is Whitby - there are hills! The property is a comfortably decent size and well equipped. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean. We didn't bother with the free on-street parking 10 minutes walk away. We paid £9.20 per day in the car park across the road. Money well spent! Negative: The TV has no aerial input and therefore no terrestrial channels except through BBC iPlayer and ITVx. We don't have accounts with any of the online providers and it took us ages to get the hang of it all. Maybe we're just old-fashioned oldies and this is the way ahead but we didn't like it and that's what stopped the 10 rating.

Great spot to stay in central Whitby and is highly recommended. Easy access to the center and activities. Good pubs and restraunts. Fishing, the beach, coastal walks... just great :)

Great stay at Holmwood, would say again.

This flat was well presented and clean and pristine Walk into town took us seven minutes quiet area and flat was warm and roomy and clutter free We had a lovely stay at Holmwood and will definitely return Thank you so much

Perfect location to the harbour and shops. Carpark literally one minute walk away. Very clean, modern accommodation with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Great place not far to walk to the sea front

Really beautiful place. The location is great, everything is in a great, walkable distance, and it’s very useful that the flat is a private ground floor. We parked in Silver Street car park via the JustPark app, paying £18 for 48 hours, and while there were a lot of reviews online saying that people received a fine, we’ve not had that problem (as of yet!)

Great weekend, 5 star overall, lovely clean apartment within walking distance of everything Whitby had to offer. Smallest of drawbacks was that couldn't hardly get any channels on the TV, but didn't come to watch it and didn't effect our enjoyment. Hosts kept in touch with e mails throughout the weekend keeping us updated of everything that was to offer, well done, thank you.

Positive: Location, close to the centre. Negative: Drafty front door. Gale force winds making hall and front bedroom cool/cold. We had brought hot water bottles just in case and needed to use them!

Lovely apartment, would recommend and stay again Positive: The location is very good, pay and display parking very close by. The shower was good, comfy bed, kitchen fully equipped. Negative: The sofa has seen better days, wasn't very comfortable and the TV only had 5 channels to choose from - thank god for having a Netflix account!

Really good location, two minutes walk from everything. Handy paid for parking across the street, wasn’t too expensive. Do need to watch where your maps app sends you with the one way streets!

Clean smart flat close to all amenities

Lovely apartment in a great location, a five minute walk to the front and lots of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops in a couple of minutes walk away. Would definitely stay again. Host very helpful

The flat was great clean modern the tv wasn’t good could only get 1 channel bbc3 and just needs a blind at the bathroom window as it’s in a passage and people walk up it the location was ok

Stayed for two nights and found the accommodation to be very clean and comfortable, nice modern design and well-equipped kitchen with the usual appliances plus bonus of a dishwasher and washing machine. We did find the bed a little small, considering the size of the bedroom, a king-size could easily have been accommodated, and mattress was too soft for us, but that's just personal preference. We managed to park on Silver Street, there is a public car park, a bit rough and ready (not tarmacked) but very convenient. Be aware that Silver Street is very narrow at points, could be a bit tight for some SUV-type vehicles, depending on which end of the road you enter Silver Street from. Location was great, short walk down to harbour, or along to West Cliff. Botham's of Whitby has a shop very close by, they sell the most delicious cakes and pastries, highly recommend their lemon iced buns and pork pies! Lots of fab places for fish and chips, as you'd expect!

Lovely maisonette very close to the town centre nice. Clean and tidy and bigger than we expected. The only suggestion I would make would be to have a small map or better instructions to park opposite at the closest car park.

Great apartment within easy walking distance of all Whitby has to offer. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. A bit noisy upstairs sometimes and early morning on bin day outside, but not really a huge issue.

The apartment was easy to find, a great location in the centre of Whitby. The apartment is on the ground floor and we found it to be suited to our needs, with plenty of space. Tastefully decorated clean and welcoming. The host even left us shampoo & body wash samples in the bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities in the kitchen which was a nice touch. It does not come with a dedicated parking space but there is a pay & display car park just across the road from the apartment. The area was quiet in the evenings and we found the overall experience and stay a relaxing one. we will definitely be back!! Thank you host & stay.

Modern accommodation in a great location, but needs a few tweaks to make it better Positive: Really good location for walking around Whitby but also for travelling around from place to place in the local area. Negative: The property was on the ground floor and the bedroom was directly on the front, which meant it was noisy when people walked past and we could never open a window which would have been nice with the summer heat in the evenings, or it would have been nice for the accommodation to have a fan or something. The bedroom blind also needs to change because the light floods in very early due to the blinds not being ideal, every morning at like 3:30 the whole room was full of daylight. The bathroom has a frosted window which is down an alleyway of more accommodation, it has no blind on the window which means regardless of the frosted glass people can see your silhouette which isn’t very comforting when you’re in the shower. When booking the accommodation other guests had asked about parking and the answers suggested that each accommodation would receive a parking pass scratch card for the W zones in Whitby. When we arrived this was not in our property and when I asked about the parking scratch card I was advised we would not get one, which was a bit frustrating.

Had a great stay at Holmwood! It was close walking distance to central Whitby. There’s is a car park just across the street which is reasonably priced to leave the car overnight. Apartment looks exactly as pictured and is lovely and clean.

Pleasant enough stay despite issues on arrival Positive: Overall a pleasant enough stay and close to the seafront. Spacious well equipped apartment. Shower was lovely and big, with a choice of 2 shower heads. Fairly large TV in the living room and we were able to watch Netflix movies in the evenings. Though no terrestrial channels as no external feed. Negative: There were 2 main issues on arrival 1) the host was supposed to have provided a scratch card for street parking. After flagging this with the host, it did arrive the next morning, but not before having to pay for street parking. Though they did agree to refund this. Although no sign of the refund or communication since I submitted the receipt 9 days ago when they said they would process it. 2) the washing machine and dish washer were not working. Luckily I noticed that the water intake valves were switched off underneath the sink, so was able to fix this easily myself. The people upstairs were noisy on Saturday night, though fortunately not loud enough from the bedroom to prevent us sleeping.

Positive: Location location location!! Clean, new, quiet. Negative: No parking, noisy neighbours upstairs, not able to get TV channels for mum, no instructions for the heating.
