Good value for money and excellent location Positive: Well equipped, lots of space and lots of extras like DVD s etc. comfortable beds Negative: Kitchen and hall had a damp smell. Bathroom set up was a little inconvenient, no wash-hand basin in actual toilet
A nice house in a great location, with a secure enclosed garden for the dog; ideal for what we needed. Would definitely Positive: The house was very pleasant; nothing too twee or typically ‘seaside’ about it which we liked; just a nice normal house. It was clean and tidy, functional and surprisingly spacious; it felt comfortable and like we could relax with the dog without worrying about everything being too pristine and all white like some places, which would be traumatic with a dog! Negative: Agreeing with the other reviews the bathroom does need an upgrade, but the water was hot and the towels were clean - it has everything we needed. I didn’t find the bed particularly comfy, but my husband did, so I guess that’s personal preference.
The property was exactly as described and in an excellent location in Seahouses. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. We had a really enjoyable stay.

Excellent location and lovely character property but needs some updating and a deep clean Positive: The property is in an excellent location right in the town. The property has character but definitely needs some updating. The bathroom was very tired and mouldy in places and was difficult that the toilet was separate from the bathroom with no handwashing facilities. The rooms are big and bright but the bedrooms would benefit from a deep clean. Downstairs has ample space and lots of extras like DVDs and board games. The kitchen is small but well equipped. Parking is on the side of the property and needed several attempts to reverse cars close enough to the fence to allow access to the rest of the street. There is a large yard so would benefit from this being used for 1 parking space but it was padlocked. Negative: Tired interior with lots of cobwebs and mould on ceilings and bathroom. Bathroom set up not ideal for 6 people
The property was not properly cleaned upon arrival, and we found a lot of dust and dirt, including stains on the bedding. Additionally, the grill did not function for the duration of our stay and the microwave was dirty inside. While the location was convenient for the harbour and town centre, the lack of upkeep and cleanliness had a very negative effect on the enjoyability of our holiday. Unfortunately, in its current state, I would not recommend this property. Hopefully the host can make improvements soon.

Value for money well equipped house Positive: Close to shops and beach/harbour. Negative: Did not find the key box. As there are two which was confusing as we tried the first one we spotted which was obsolete the other one was not clearly visible.
Spacious house with a nice quiet garden close to seahouses Main Street and the harbour, making it an ideal base. The weather was lovely when we were there and the garden was a lovely peaceful and sunny spot to relax, although we brought our own garden chairs! Everything you need in the house for a comfortable stay.
We had a good holiday and the accommodation was a great base for what we wanted to do. We felt, however, that the property was tired, especially the bathroom. There was also a rusty baking sheet and loose handle on a saucepan, so some attention needed. Paint work in general was chipped and discoloured. If people booked this for a family of 6, it would be rather cramped.

Our family's stay at Highgarth was very enjoyable . The location and proximity to all the amenities and activities on offer in Seahouses was superb . We were only there for a weekend and did not need to use the car once . The children were very well catered for with plenty of things to do and the adults in our group were equally happy with some lovely places to eat and drink . The surrounding area and beaches are beautiful . The house itself was clean , comfortable and spacious and there was plenty of room for our party of five to spread out comfortably . There are lots of games and puzzles which we all enjoyed . The kitchen is a little bit tight for space , only two at a time to prepare , cook , and wash up but it was manageable . The only problem we encountered was there were no curtains in one of the bedrooms . We managed to improvise with an odd curtain that we found in a cupboard and weighted down on top of the pelmit with heavy books ! The shower head leaks also
Establishing a great location for exploration of the Northumberland Coast Golf Venues required an accommodation which was suitable for all the party, keeping costs to a level which made the break overall Great Value for Money. We found that here. Well appointed and had everything we need.
Super cute place, can very comfortably accommodate a family of 6. We were a family of 3, so lots of extra beds. There is really only 1 bathroom split into two rooms vs the 1.5 they have advertised. Home was clean, quiet, and had lots of natural light. It was also easily walkable to the shops and activities in town. Note, if you stay here May-July be sure to book a landing trip from the harbor to Farne Islands to see the puffins!
We had a fantastic family holiday based in the very centre of Seahouses. very close to all local shops, restaurants and pubs. 2 minute walk to sea front. The house had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable and also alot of seating in the living areas which we usually struggle with as a family of 5. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a home from home stay.
House smelt of damp upon entry. There was off street parking but no gate key. Plug sockets overloaded with plugs. Grille and upper oven not working even tho it was noted in a review a few months ago. Dining table in a place with no light so had to eat in the dark. Hot water was poor and slow shower.
Great location with everything you could need for your stay. Photos don’t reflect the age of the house, lot darker than in the photos and in need of a bit of renovation in our opinion. Grill still doesn’t work. Windows hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Still: it was a comfortable stay and would recommend it 100%

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the location, the beach and local area. The house was ok and smaller than we expected. There was an immediate smell of damp in the hall and dining area , the kettle didn’t work and we were given a replacement after a couple of days. The kitchen was small and not really suitable for cooking a full meal and the grill didn’t work. There was no cleaning products or other bathroom products as clearly stated on the description. Seems to be a newly added home that’s not adapted for Airbnb use . Despite this we still had a lovely time

Also the seperate toilet did not have a wash basin in to wash hands.There was 6 adults and only one bathroom to share .
