Lovely few days away with the family

Suitable for family

We had a lovely stay at Henry Bolckow Lodge. The lodge was beautifully decorated, super clean and super comfortable. The hot tub and log burner were also great. Host & Stay responded quickly to messages and were really helpful. The lodge was amazing value for money too and I would love to stay again!

Lovely stay. Nice and clean. Sauna and hot tub were lovely after a day out walking. Very homely and cosy on an evening.

We loved our stay here, accommodation was spotless and spacious, hot tub was divine. It very very peaceful and relaxed. Beautiful surroundings...we were sad to leave and will be back! Thank you 😊

After a confused start to our stay we had a great time. Yes the access roads to the lodges are badly potholed and yes there are a few maintenance issues, but overall the lodge was comfortable, warm and roomy. Great use was made of the hot tub... A couple of negatives: the mattress in the second bedroom was quite uncomfortable. Very thin!! And bizarrely there was no sieve or collander in the kitchen.

We immediately felt at home when we walked into the lodge. Everything was exactly as described and it was spacious enough for us as a family of 5. Beautiful location as well with an amazing view of Roseberry Topping. Only wish we could’ve stayed for longer!

Lovely picturesque location. Clean and spacious lodge with hot tub. Sauna at the end of the lake added that extra touch.

Positives. Peaceful, only 10 lodges in a semi circle around a lake with lots of friendly ducks. Easy to find, access, check in and out simple. If you want peace and quiet then this is perfect. Negatives. The lodge needs maintenance. There was a hole in the wall in the inner corridor where the door had been in contact with it and not repaired. The sofa is leather with lots of marks/tears.. presumably where pets have stayed. The chairs outside are stained, some blinds inside are broken. On arrival there was a full ashtray not cleaned from previous occupants. None of this spoilt our stay but there needs a general level of TLC required to the entire place, given the price you pay.

Beautiful stay in the gorgeous weather. The lodge overlooked a lake and had scenic views from the hot tub. Great walks nearby. Despite it being half term it was a tranquil stay as the lodges are nicely spaced. We'd definitely stay here again.

Stay was exactly as listed, simple check in and the property was spotless. Kitchen was very well equipped and would be ideal for a longer stay. Hot tub was very clean and the perfect touch to a fantastic stay.

Amazing property, host was welcoming and helped all the way through will definitely be booking again.
