Airy and comfy apartment in a peaceful but convenient location, ideal as a base to explore the area. Positive: The location was great for us - close enough to be in Whitby town in a short 10 minute walk, but quiet enough to not have crowds of people passing, and really easy to drive to. The beds were huge and comfy, and the apartment was spotlessly clean and tidy. Negative: Only a minor detail, but the hot water taps in both kitchen and bathroom were scalding hot, which we had to be very careful of with our young children. This did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay, and I'm sure could be rectified.

Everything perfect including the weather. Positive: The Guest Book comments were all complementary and we agreed fully with them re: location, quality of the furniture and fittings and size of apartment. Negative: Just one little grouse: As a grandfather of young children I noted that the security of the windows had not been maintained , they were capable of opening very wide.

Amazing apartment, 11/10! Positive: What a beautiful apartment! We loved everything about it, location - max 10 min lovely walk to the centre, gorgeous home from home apartment, comfortable beds, gorgeous views onto the harbour with amazing sunset, lovely playground which the kids loved! Everything you would need was provided, really spacious too! Will definitely stay again, Lisa was particularly helpful & kind. Thank you x

Overall its a good stay, the room is supreme and my family love it. Also car park is an advantage! Positive: The room is nice and clean, have facilities for a family short stay. Heater in each room is definitely good, overall we are happy for the stay. Negative: Its bit confuse during check in, hard to locate the exact building (there are many hostage in the same estate using the same keylock box), will be good if the host can provide more details. Also, an admin fee will charges for deposit (we choose £300 and get back £290) which is not clearly shown in booking.com

Stayed two nights here with my wife and 2 kids. Everything felt perfect and clean also great location 5 min walk to centre but nice and quite around apartment. Would 100% recommend here and will definitely stay again! Thanks for being a great host!

Xmas getaway in Whiby Positive: Lovely stay in a large apartment. We especially enjoyed the view at night overlooking the river tucked up with a nice glass of wine. The apartment was really handy as it was only half a mile from the centre of the town. So it was handy for the attractions during the day and peaceful when returning at night. We will return soon next time we stay. The booking was really well organised and all the information was really clear and helpful on the app they sent.

This is our 4th stay with Host and stay. We included our cousin this year and she was delighted. Positive: The views, easy parking and walk to Whitby. Negative: The whole place was so well equipped. …down to a charging torch by the door and a stack of umbrellas

Excellent - I would definitely book again. Positive: Very close to the town centre (5mins walk), but in a quiet position, with a parking space. The cooking facilities were very good including microwave, airfryer, and coffee machine as well as cooker, although we struggled a bit to switch on the hob. There was plenty of entertainment for rainy days with TV, DVD, books and games. Plenty of space in the apartment. Negative: It was difficult to get at the plug sockets which were behind the beds in the smaller bedroom. We couldn't get the extractor to work above the cooker. But these are minor niggles in what was an otherwise excellent apartment.

Had a lovely couple of nights stay with two of our children. Great space and location, stunning views. Will be back.

Comfortable fatntastic views and close to town centre Positive: Simple key code lock Negative: A lot of light coming through windows due to street lighting. No dryer sign on washer door saying dryer broken but can use heated airer which are not great. Preference would have been for a Dishwasher over a Washer.

We had the most Memorable couple of days… my daughter and friend enjoyed also. Two things. Not criticism’s. 1. If the pics show a twin and a double the owners shouldn’t change to two doubles without checking on the nature/relationship of the visitors. (I attended with daughter and friend not daughter and partner). Minor issue we laughed at but worth feeding back. 2. My bad but I thought I’d booked 3 nights… having not used air bnb’s site before 11-13th to me is 3 nights. Not checking g out at 10am on the third day. My bad, highly embarrassing and stressful and my daughter was gutted we had to pack and leave in a hurry a day early with a cleaner waiting outside. But I accept I’m a Wally, but again a note of warning for all using air bnb ! Not the fault of the owners. Otherwise we loved it, including the noisey seagulls 🤣

Great views and a great location to explore Whitby

A lovely few days in Whitby. Positive: Great location, well equipped, lovely views.

Wonderful. Positive: Location. Very well fitted out. Negative: Loose toilet seat. Shower pole fell down but was fairly easily re-fitted as sprung pole.

Very close to the centre of Whitby. Negative: Only thing was the toilet seat is loose and it was mentioned by another guest in the guest book but it's not a criticism just an observation to inform you.

We know Whitby well but wanted something away from the crowds yet walkable. Harbour View fitted the bill exactly, being about 10mins from the centre, having superb views, peace and privacy.

We had a lovely weekend and didn’t need to drive anywhere. Positive: Free parking, short walk to town, felt like a nice area, Negative: Very roomy, great view.

We’ll be back! Positive: Location, endless hot water, nice and clean, comfy beds and very quiet. Perfect for our requirements. Negative: We didn’t really dislike anything. The kitchen fittings were a bit tired and the washer needs replacing with just a washing machine if the owners don’t want to fit a tumbler drier.

The location was good. The host is very responsive. However, I asked for an extra duvet and been told it cannot be satisfied. The bathroom and kitchen were old to be honest. Overall, it’s not bad.

Lovely clean property overlooking the river in Whitby. Walkable into town and local restaurants. Nice homely touches to the property and plenty of books and board games to keep you occupied! Would stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Whitby. The apartment was exactly as pictured/described, and perfect location for short walk by the river into town with the bonus of free allocated parking space. Absolutely loved our stay at Whitehall Landing, it was the perfect location, great views of the harbour, and only a short walk to the town centre, when we come back to Whitby I will definitely try and stop here, they even left us milk, tea bags and coffee!

Just back from a wonderful few nights stay in this lovely apartment. We were welcomed by a beautifully equipped apartment with pleasant decor and a lovely view of the river Esk. It comfortably accommodated 4 adults with all the facilities required for our stay. The apartment is an easy 15 min walk from the centre of Whitby with a local pub only 5 mins away. We would highly recommend this apartment and the host.

Had an amazing time! Only minor issues such as water pressure and small bin but nothing crazy that affected our stay. Am Positive: Lovely location, beds so comfortable, plenty of kitchen appliances. Negative: Water pressure in shower a bit low and only a small kitchen bin so had to empty quite often.

Positive: Location,spacious,everything you needed. Negative: The plumbing in the bathroom,the water from the taps of the sink don't always come on especially if you've flushed the toilet.

Nothing to really complain about except for agents. Positive: The property was very spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It would be improved by the addition of a dishwasher and it is a shame there is not an en-suite or a separate loo. Negative: The kitchen cupboards were full of assorted equipment which didn’t seem very clean (understandably, it is not possible to check and clean everything) but there was only one scratched frying pan and a wok and no ovenproof dishes (e.g. Pyrex/ casserole). The admin at Host and Stay were very poor - questions asked were never answered and the key code did not arrive when promised and had to be chased.

from Rotherham Positive: it's was close to town centre and the view of the harbour was amazing Negative: Well on arrival there was damage so I took photos. and sent them straight away. just to cover myself . because I didn't want to get blamed for something what was there on arrival but only response I got was all damaged should be reported. and paid for. but they was there on arrival . no proper response. obviously they knew they was there because they told me a deep clean is done as soon as someone leaves .

Positive: There was everything you needed, it's exactly as the photo's show, extremely clean, settee very comfortable (I have a bad back)mattress on beds high quality, lovely views of the harbour. Would highly recommend. Negative: Nothing to dislike.

Positive: Beautiful apartment in a great location. Communication with the hosts was great, they were on hand to answer any questions. The apartment is bigger than we expected and very clean. The kitchen was kitted out with all cooking appliances. Beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. WiFi was great and the added bonus of free parking was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Positive: Location stunning Clean and fresh apartment Nice to have a car park space Nice to have tea bags, coffee, bin bags, tin foil etc Negative: Shower pressure is awful, took ages to have a shower Cold water tap in bathroom had same issue, had to really turn it to work Damage waiver, didn’t like the admin fee being deducted. Feels a bit like you’re taking an additional admin fee on each guest that books with you.

Fabulous stay! Positive: Loved everything about the place! ...it was clean, comfortable and had everything you would need...a real home from home...very nicely furnished too. Also the person dealing with the property and any questions, was really good with keeping in touch. Will definitely rebook ..totally recommend!

Chill time Positive: It was a really luvly place and situated near the town Negative: Could do with some bigger towels as we're not big,but after shower the certainly don't go around you.Also not happy it takes up to 14 days to get deposit back

Highly recommended Positive: Really well presented with great facilities and in a superb location. Lovely comfortable bed and the place had an up to date feel. Negative: The toilet seat was a little clunky and kept falling down, took us a while to figure out how to turn the shower on!

A very pleasant, comfortable stay. Very close to the town and all amenities. Positive: The open plan layout and the lovely view. A private car parking space was a bonus. It was also nice to find supplies for Beverages on our arrival and little extras touches e.g. books,games and films. Negative: We couldn't find anything to dislike apart from the unusually cold and damp June weather. Still we came prepared with our wet weather gear.

Definitely a place to stay if I visit Whitby.Everything you need is there Positive: Dedicated parking space was nice. I like the individual heating in the various rooms. It saves electricity. Water pressure was good and hot consistently. Well equipped kitchen; the first place to offer an air fryer (that's top notch!) Negative: The flight of steps but it wasn't too steep, so ok. No clocks in the house. The non-refundable £25 for damage waiver before the stay; it was a shame.
