I was extremely disappointed with my stay and would not recommend this property. What was supposed to be a relaxing getaway turned into a frustrating and physically uncomfortable experience. Accessibility & Transparency: There is no mention in the listing of the steep hill/slope you must climb to reach the property. This is a major oversight for anyone with luggage or mobility concerns. Safety & Comfort: The heating instructions were non-existent. We spent a miserable, freezing night bordering on hypothermia because we couldn't figure out how to adjust the system to a functional level. Cleanliness: The property was not properly prepared. The bathroom was unclean, and the kitchen kettle still had stagnant water from the previous guest. Maintenance & Noise: Several bedroom lights were broken. Furthermore, the walls are paper-thin; we could hear every sound from the neighbors, making it impossible to rest. Communication: The host was completely unresponsive, ignoring my messages and

Steep hill and lots of stairs not suitable for most retired couples. We managed as location is great. Downstairs unit has a problem with excessive smoking and it leaks to the common areas and some on the unit.

Me and my friends had a nice time in Brighton this weekend. The apartment was decent place to keep our stuff and sleep. However, there was a smell of stale cigarette smoke from the apartment below that seeped into the bedroom and bathroom of the property. Few superficial imperfections like chipped paint and stained carpets but nothing unclean about the property. Location was great and close to the station and a straightforward walk to the centre.

Good location, it is a steep hill to get up followed by a lot of stairs but that’s what we expected from Brighton. The actual apartment was lovely, really enjoyed our stay.

Für Städteteip gut geeignet. Positive: Sehr nach zum Bahnhof. Typisch britischer Charm. Negative: Enges, schmutziges Treppenhaus. Sehr steile Straße

The place was perfect for time and purpose.

We had a lovely stay at the apartment- it has everything you need and is in a great location. Check in was easy and instructions in the flat were clear. It is on a hill but it’s completely manageable and just part of being in Brighton so wasn’t an issue for us!

Great stay in Brighton, it’s a good apartment to have as a base if staying for a short time. Positive: It is a great location, near the station and good kitchen facilities. Negative: • communal hall is very rundown. • strong smell of smoke from property below travelled to the flat • sofa bed was uncomfortable and bedroom window rattled very loudly so there was disturbed sleep.

Appartement très bien situé, proche de la gare et du centre ville. Équipement de base et linge quotidien disponible.

Très bon séjour, hôte très réactif et amical. Le logement est juste à côté de la gare ce qui est très pratique et il est à 15 20 minutes à pied de la plage du centre et autres attractions. J'ai adoré la décoration et le côté cosy de l'appartement. On s'y sent très bien. Il y a même des livres de cuisine et des livres pour enfants. Tout est disponible y compris des ventilateurs. Attention le logement n'est pas très pratique avec une poussette ou pour une personne à mobilité réduite, car il est situé en haut d'une pente et au deuxième étage sans ascenseur avec un couloir très étroit.

Merveilleux séjour dans cet appartement charmant Positive: Localisation idéale notamment pour les voyageurs arrivant en train. Possibilité de découvrir les merveilles de la ville à pied. Negative: La boîte à clés n’est pas de première jeunesse et est un peu réticente à s’ouvrir. Le canapé lit n’est pas du tout confortable.

Top locatie Positive: De locatie was echt top. Dichtbij het centrum en het station. In de buurt is een kleine supermarkt en restaurants. Voor 2 personen is het een prima ruimte. Negative: De schoonmaak kan echt beter. Het beddengoed leek ons wel schoon en verder het hoog nodige, maar verder viel het ons tegen. De badkamervloer is aan vervanging nodig. Als je het gebouw binnen komt lijkt het net of je een studenten gebouw binnenloopt. Heeft dringend wat liefde nodig.

We had a fantastic time staying here! Location is a bonus so close to the station and bus stops! Walking distance to Churchill Sq for more connections/shopping too! Was hesitant to book after some reviews but so glad it didn’t put us off! Flat was sparkly clean, nicely decorated and ample room for all of us! It’s an older Brighton building so expect narrow communal entryways that need some tlc and lots of stairs with no lift. But it’s a charming flat - newly decorated but with it’s original charm! Guildford Rd is a steep hill, even for Brighton, but we managed with two kids and a baby in a buggy just fine! Prepare to get your steps in when staying here though! This flat is the perfect spot for walking around Brighton and seeing all the central highlights! The 4pm checkin/10am checkout times are tight though and puts this on scale with lower budget stays. But overall we couldn’t have picked a better spot for our Brighton trip and would definitely be returning!

The location was great, lots of places to shop eat and about a 15 min walk to the beach. The host Dale was amazing at communication. It was easy to get a hold of him which was a plus. My one complaint was the stairs, the unit was about 3 or flights up. The stairs were narrow and because of my bad knees an large suitcase it was a bit of a pain. That's more of a me problem however just keep that in mind if you are in your 50's like me. The person above was a bit noisy at times at strange hours. Other than that I enjoyed my stay there. Great place to stay and right by the Brighton train station.

Très bon séjour à Brighton. Le logement est agréable, idéalement situé vers la gare et bien équipé. Il y a 2 multi prise avec prise usb , donc même pas besoin d’emmener vos adaptateurs pour prise anglaise. Plusieurs magasin , pub et restaurant à proximité

Generally it was a decent airbnb in a lovely location with lovely decor. The general maintenance of the place let it down slightly

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine. L'appartement est fonctionnel, confortable et correspond à la description sur le site. Il est très bien situé: près de la gare, près des commerces, pas loin de la plage. C'est juste difficile d'accéder à l'immeuble car la route est en pente et avec des valises, ce n'est pas toujours facile mais c'est juste pour l'arrivée et le retour... . Nous avons surtout apprécié la qualité de la communication avec notre interlocuteur de Airbnb Charlie qui a toujours été très réactif et sympathique, du début à la fin du séjour. C'est très rassurant surtout quand on voyage à l'étranger! Nous le remercions chaleureusement. Nous recommandons cet appartement sans problème et nous y reviendrons sûrement à l'avenir!

Nice flat in a calmer area of Brighton, we loved staying there

Flat was good size in good location and near train station, bed was comfy and kitchen had necessary cooking equipment. Unfortunately there were a few issues. The smell of old cigarettes from a neighbour was awful and in every space of the flat. It got especially worse at night and meant we had all the windows open all the time even when it was cold. No handwash in bathroom (had to buy some) and lots of damp stains in bedroom with paint peeling off wall. Windows at front barely opened and the smell was unbearable at times. The corridors and communal spaces were very dirty and smelly too. check in was very late compared to other places and they emailed saying check out was an hour earlier than advertised which had to be disputed and was a little stressful.

Positive: Location excellent. Walk (up a steep hill ) 5 mins from Brighton station . Easily located. Directions and instructions excellent. Apartment finished to a high standard and complete with everything you could want. A small newsagents is at the top of the hill for bread milk etc Negative: The communal hall and stairway are a tad sad but having lived in Brighton some time ago I appreciate that this is a common thing and in no way represents the condition of the apartment

Apartment in guter Lage aber mit fragwürdiger Sauberkeit Positive: Gute Lage - Nähe zum Bahnhof und zu den Lanes, 15 min Fußweg zum Strand. Ein ganzes Apartment mit Bad & Küche. Charlie (von Stay & Host) hat schnell geantwortet. Negative: Es war nicht sauber als wir ankamen (Bsp.: unter dem Auszieh-Sofa lag ein Pommes, im Badeschrank war ein benutztes Wattestäbchen). Die Fotos entsprechen nicht ganz dem aktuellen Aussehen des Apartments. Im Apartment und im Hausflur hat es nach Zigarettenrauch gerochen. Das Auszieh-Sofa war sehr durchgelegen und unbequem, außerdem nicht vorbereitet, obwohl wir angaben zu dritt anzureisen.

A centrally located one bedroom flat right near the train station (flat is located up a v steep street, and is on the top floor of the building so not ideal for anyone with accessibility issues!) For us though, the flat itself great… it was clean and tidy, bed was super comfy and it was quiet outside at night. Common areas, staircase carpet etc could do with a good clean, and there was a strong smell of smoke outside the main door to the flat which I think comes from a neighbouring apartment.
