Negative: I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but unfortunately our experience here warrants one. When we arrived at the lodge, the cleanliness was not what we would expect from serviced accommodation. Several pieces of cutlery and bowls had visible food residue, there was debris on the floors, food under furniture, and parts of the floor were sticky. We took photographs on arrival to document the condition. A number of basic items were also missing, including bathroom bins for sanitary products, bin bags, dishwasher tablets and washing-up liquid. With five guests staying for two nights and only a very small bin provided, this made managing waste difficult. The listing also states the property has four beds and sleeps up to six guests. This gave the impression that there were four proper beds available, however one of these is actually a sofa bed. As a result, three adults ended up sharing a double bed, which was disappointing and not what we expected when booking. After our stay we were charged an additional £93.80 cleaning fee. We contacted the host immediately with photos and a detailed explanation of the condition the lodge was in when we arrived. The deposit was eventually refunded, however we were told the matter would be investigated and we have not received any further response or outcome since 4 February, despite following up. It was disappointing that the issues raised were never properly addressed and that communication stopped entirely. Future guests may want to clarify the bed configuration and amenities provided before booking.

Our stay was absolutely great, the lodge was furnished to a really high standard it was stunning. Hot tub was spot on. Honestly cannot fault this place at all. We will be back later this year when the warm and dry weather comes so I can try the golf course out, we can’t wait to go back it was perfect. See you again soon 👌👍

A fabulous break away for my 40th with friends. The lodge was spotless, warm and inviting. The beds are super comfy and the shower was nice and powerful. No complaints whatsoever! Will definitely book again! Thank you

Beautiful stay at allerthorpe country park, grounds were peaceful, tidy and friendly. Home was beautifully decorated and clean throughout everything you need for a great vacation.

A lovely break in a lovely place!

Just returned from Allerthorpe park. Wow what an absolutely beautiful place to stay! Our lodge was 5 star, park and golf was first class. On site restaurant and bar was amazing, every meal was delicious and reasonable prices. Staff were polite and courteous, and went out of their way to serve kindly and promptly. Can’t fault this place. We stayed at Louise grace lodge, hot tub was so relaxing, no noisy neighbours, clean and spacious. Had the most relaxing holiday ever, we took our dog and she thoroughly enjoyed the park, watching the ducks, swans and squirrels! Perfect little place for a relaxing break.

Lovely place, spotless and modern. 30 minute drive to York centre and a few nearby towns that are lovely for a few hours of shopping and a coffee. Hot tub was lovely to relax on an evening and the views were so nice. Kitchen had everything we needed, nice touch of some family games and blankets too for the cooler evenings. The site was beautiful and the pizza shack was a lovely extra for a night when we couldn’t be bothered cooking. Would 100% recommend, perfect for a family trip away, girls weekend or romantic getaway. Thank you for our lovely weekend.

we had a fantastic time. we had lunch at jjs which we really recommend. on arrival we had a issue with the TV Ariel connection but this was rectified swify. lovey location we just wish we had booked a couple of extra days..

We had an amazing 4 night stay in May. Great peaceful location to explore the beautiful local area. Positive: As a family of 4 with a small dog (on his first holiday!) we found the property very well equipped, very spacious and in a great location.
