Lovely peaceful break in a quite location just a stones throw from Whitby town. Nice view from lounge and bedroom, easy to find and access. Well equipped, lovely comfy sofas and appreciated the Christmas ornaments. Would use again and can highly recommend Host and stay as helpful and reliable.

We loved staying at Freshwater. Beautiful apartment with a stunning harbour view, modern design and lovely walk down into Whitby. The owners have really thought about the little things like key hooks, blackout blinds, box of childrens toys, umbarellas etc. We also really liked the parking space. It was very peaceful and always something to watch - train, boats, salmon jumping from the window. We would absolutely return. Our only little criticism was the cleaners letting the apartment down. There were alot of cobwebs on the livingroom roof, the whole apartment was very dusty and there were crumbs on the kitchen table. We had to do a big clean before we got going which wasnt the best first impression but once that was done we had a lovely time.

The place was great, very spacious and fresh feeling. Rooms all spotlessly clean and comfortable. Easy 15 minute walk into town with a toddler in tow, pleasant walking along the harbour. Located in a quiet residential area with nice views of the river, we would stay again.

EXCEPTIONAL! Immaculately clean. Positive: Everything was exceptional with the apartment. Negative: Maybe a little too far from the town, especially anyone with any kind of walking disability.

Excellent stay Positive: This apartment was a brilliant place to stay at. Lovely views across the river where you can watch the steam train come and go into Whitby station and it is only about a 10 -15 minute stroll to join in the hustle and bustle of the town etc. The apartment facilities were excellent and the beds were really comfortable and the shower was great...all in all a home from home. If we visit Whitby again we will definitely stay here again. Nice to have your own allocated parking too. Thank you. Negative: No complaints

Thank you for a great stay in your property in Whitby, it was everything described and more. Super clean and very modern property, overlooking the water. Very quiet and easily to walk into Whitby ( took me 16 minutes) sauntering. It was lovely to wake up seeing swans swimming by and a herring fishing. As well as seeing the lovely steam trains passing by. I would definitely recommend this apartment for anyone staying in Whitby.

A brilliant location, price and apartment! Positive: The price, the location, the cleanliness, the layout and facilities, the space, the pre-arrival communication, the communication during our stay, the free museum passes, the low cost offer of late checkout, the guidance folder... absolutely every detail was meticulous and made our stay in Whitby perfect. It was like home from home, there is no need to worry as you approach your stay because, sure enough, all check in details arrived exactly on time and as promised. There are helpful reminders in the run up and during the stay, even offer of booking a private chef for your stay if you so choose. Massive thank you, we will all be back (family of 4). Negative: The upstairs neighbours had a lot of young children running around from 6am. The noise through the floor was enough to wake us up and keep us awake.

Lovely apartment in a great location with very comfortable beds. Positive: The flat was light and bright, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owners obviously love and care for it. The location was great with a parking space, a flat 15 minute walk into Whitby, and a view of the harbour. We were left tea and coffee and milk. Negative: Just one or two very minor issues: there were no oven gloves, which we found odd when there was an oven! One of the blinds had a broken string and didn't pull up properly. Otherwise it was great.

I booked this place for a short break for my husband and his brother. It was in a great location, right by the river and a fantastic price. Plus had two great sized separate bedrooms. They found the place easily and parking was fine, there is a dedicated space for one car. Rooms were very good and looked like the listing. Very clean and well presented. Bathroom had all the usual stuff and towels were provided. Toiletries also. They ate out so didn't use the kitchen but it had all the equipment you'd need for a holiday. Great views and easy to walk to town and to access other walks etc. Fantastic location!

Had a fantastic stay, beautiful quiet location, nice walk into town (10 minutes ) parking space a bonus, apartment was modern and clean with great views of the river. Best chippy ever just down the road ( riverside fisheries ) blackout blinds were useful as the path outside the bedroom riverside is a brightly lit walkway. All in all loved the place and would definitely return.

Whitby is a lovely old fishing town full of character and charm. Freshwater View is in a good location, 15 mins walk fro Positive: The location is excellent; 15 minute walk into town, there is a nice seating area close to the apartment overlooking the river. The apartment is comfortable and has everything you need, the beds and bathrooms were very clean and the kitchen is well equipped and everything in the cupboards was clean. Negative: The floors and kitchen units could have done with a good clean, behind the doors and under furniture was particularly gritty and dusty. However this wasn’t significant enough to spoil the holiday. Just something to be aware of and improve.

Super leicht zu finden und der Check in war dank der Schlüsselbox super easy. Total hilfreich war auch der Privatparkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Eine schöne Aussicht auf den Fluss, andere Seite auf den Parkplatz. Innenstadt von Whitby ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Supermärkte ca. 3 Minuten mit dem Auto. Wir haben uns gleich sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist hell, freundlich und sauber. Absolut empfehlenswert. Die Umgebung ist ein Traum.

Beautiful Apartment Positive: Very comfortable, only 10 - 15 mins walk to town centre, plenty of space, lovely view. Great fish & chip shop 5 minute walk away. Got everything you need in the whole place. Lovely & clean. Would highly recommend. We would love to come back. Negative: There's no real negatives just suggestions. Would have been nice to have cupboard space for any food for self catering, without having to empty a cupboard out first. Also had 2 bath towels but only 1 hand towel between us both for 4 nights, luckily I had brought a spare with me so problem solved. I had also booked an extra day but I had to chase up check in details just before we set off. I did get them then. The next day I also received the check in details again for 3 nights. Just little things that could be improved.

Apartment was beautiful, everything you needed and more. Great location and check in/out was a doddle.

Just about exactly what we were looking for, easy walking into town/bars, every thing nicely presented. Wish we'd found the blackout blind on the first night! Wish it had been closer to town when the heavens opened walking back on Friday night! All in all a great stay and a super location, the view down the Esk from the waterside path to the town and abbey is great.

Had a great stay in Whitby the apartment was lovely with parking which was a bonus & was just as described in the pictures. Close to Whitby only a 10 min walk into town. Charlie was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay at Freshwater, the apartment had everything you could need and was very peaceful & quite. The stay was excellent, but we feel host and stay make complications Positive: Not applicable Negative: Getting the key code on the morning of arrival, was not a good experience as we had to chase up host and stay. We were told that an e mail would be sent at 10 am the morning of arrival. We told the rep that we would be travelling by then this was on the Tuesday , so we were to receive a text on the arrival date , again we had to ring and chase 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬

Great stay and comfortable would be back. Positive: It was very well presented, clean and comfortable and you had everything you needed. Negative: The only thing was the fire alarm kept going off after having a shower due to the steam even though the fan in the bathroom was on.

Lovely clean flat. Positive: Well laid out flat, with nice furniture, it was very clean and had lots of cups and cutlery. Negative: It would be really handy to have a washing machine especially if you have been to the beach.

Clean and comfortable, great location; the designated parking space was a real help. We very much enjoyed our stay, though the vibe was unexpectedly more corporate hotel than family home. The host company was responsive clear in its communication.

We absolutely loved Dales apartment. Everything was perfect. Location, amenities, decor, communication!! The bedrooms were huge, the bathroom was beautiful and the lounge/kitchen area was very well equipped and cosy. We will definitely stay again if we visit Whitby and would 100% recommend.

This was a lovely place to stay, just out of the hustle and bustle of Whitby. The directions and Google pin were an excellent way of locating the Apartment. Close enough to the centre for an easy walk in to all the shops and sights. This was a lovely, spacious apartment with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would highly recommend and definitely return.

Clean, modern apartment with everything you need for a short break. Great to be able to park the car at the property and walk into Whitby (approx 10 mins) rather than having to try and find that elusive (aka impossible) parking space in town!

Absolutely lovely apartment, really well situated and spotlessly clean. Received check in details first thing in the morning and a useful guide to everything in the apartment. Overlooks the harbour so nice view from the living room window, designated parking space and hardly used the car because everything was in walking distance. Can't fault the place or the hosts. Would definitely book again if coming to Whitby.

The apartment was in a very quiet block and had a designated car park spot. It was a 10/15 min flat walk to the centre of Whitby, exactly as described. The apartment was very nice, lovely fixtures and fittings and very clean. Instructions of how to gain access were clear and a very good guide book online and in the apartment. I would without doubt recommend this apartment and would be happy to stay there again.

Very pleasant stay here, it was both quiet and relaxing. Apartment was spacious and comfortable and well equipped (except it could have done with a tea towel!) The shower wasn’t great but not the owners fault, it was just because it was an electric shower. Parking space ideally located right outside the main door and no issues with availability. Location was ideally placed for a 10 minute stroll into the centre of Whitby. Would recommend and stay here again if back in Whitby

We had a great few days here in Whitby. The apartment is great, has everything you need and some lovely little touches. Location is amazing with plenty to see from the window, wildlife, trains, rowers, boats and of course seagulls! Short walk into the town and local chippy is amazing.

Everything we needed and more. Positive: Couldn’t fault a thing in the apartment :) Negative: Nothing we didn’t like, extra set of keys would have been perfect, only when we left the mother in law in the apartment she couldn’t get out of we took the key, and if we left the key we would have to wake her.

Everything in good working order and comfortable beds too. The area was close enough to walk into Whitby and felt safe in the area. Negative: Such beautiful views of the river just a shame not to able to sit outside. £25 damage deposit with only £15 refundable Which don’t really understand why all is not refunded

This apartment was spacious, comfortable, very clean and well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The area is peaceful with nice views over the river and the town and seafront is only about 15 minutes walk away, perhaps less for younger people! We spent 3 relaxing days here and would definitely come again. A couple of points to mention is the fridge,which froze everything in it even after turning it down, and a hand rail in the bath/shower for the less able would be good addition.

Well maintained and presented property, comfortable super king beds and nice bathroom. Shower was adequate. Kitchen compact but very useable, all the necessary equipment and dining table adjacent was handy and comfortable. Lounge was comfortable with lovely view across the river. Overall great location, easy parking in a reserved space. Quiet location with no noisy neighbours, easy 15 minute walk into town centre, loads of eateries of varying prices and standards, would recommend very highly. Only confusion came on checkout, e mail the night before said noon, whereas every other communication said 10am, called host and stay the managing agency and although I knew I was speaking to a call handler at Airbnb in USA she maintained she was working at host and stay in Uk. Airbnb don’t pretend please, be honest with your clients.

It was perfect apart from the confusion on the last days with departure time which had us rushing to leave when we thought we had plenty of time. Text arrived at 9.02 contradicting the departure time in the guidebook and email.
