The property was exceptionally clean, tidy, and well maintained, and my family and I truly enjoyed our time there. Unfortunately, several serious issues occurred. Communication before check-in was very poor. I was told details would be provided a few hours before arrival, but this did not happen. I was left on the side of the road with my family 30 minutes after check-in time, calling the number provided by Airbnb, which turned out to be incorrect. After being given another number, I was finally able to get directions. This was stressful and unacceptable. Shortly after arrival, we attempted to use the gas oven to cook for our children. Within minutes, the carbon monoxide alarm went off, forcing us to ventilate the house and turn the oven off, raising serious safety concerns. Additionally, I was injured by protruding screws on multiple chairs, including dining chairs and stools. This is dangerous and unacceptable.

If you are into caravan parks then it’s presented very well. Positive: Clean and the hot tub was hot. Central heating was good and the ducks that hang around are cute. Grounds are well kept. Negative: Other guests calling for dogs in the middle of the night, views of other caravans, poor check in communication, a bit pricey for a caravan park and watch your head on the low hanging lights.

Comfy, but expensive without a clean hot tub. Positive: Lodge was clean and comfy. Pleasant location, on site cafe/restaurant good food and reasonable value. Site was very quiet at the time of our stay. Negative: The hot tub had apparently been cleaned but it had lots of leaves in it, and the cover was covered in leaves too. Outdoor furniture was very dirty and unusable. Dirty mop left decking. Reported to hosts but no action taken - just told us it had been cleaned. This is a difficult review - if there was no hot tub and it had been cheaper as a result, this would have been a much more positive review. As it was, with, as far as I’m concerned, no usable hot tub, it was very expensive.

Perfect Peaceful Getaway. 10/10 Stay Positive: We had such a beautiful stay at Foxglove Lodge with Hot Tub. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, clean, and well looked after. The lodge itself was spotless and really comfortable, making it easy to settle in straight away. Local shops were about a 20-minute drive away, which was manageable, and we even made a day trip to the beach, which is around an hour away, definitely worth it. We came back and cooked a lovely dinner together, and the lodge had everything we needed to make it feel like home. One of the highlights for us was the hot tub, especially in the morning with the sun shining. Sitting there with a cup of tea, soaking in the warmth and peaceful surroundings, was just perfect. Overall, it was the ideal place to relax, unwind, and enjoy quality time. We would definitely recommend. 10/10. Negative: The only thing we would change is the check-out time, as it is 10am. We completely understand this is to allow cleaners to come in, but having the option of a slightly later check-out, at noon at an additional cleaner fee, would be a lovely touch.

Really enjoyed our stay overall, however a couple of minor issues let it down considering the cost. Thought the damage w Positive: Really nice and spacious, good kitchen facilities, comfortable beds. Good hot tub. Negative: Bath still had soap suds/hair on arrival. Water wasn’t hot in the bath so couldn’t run only use the main shower. Bottom shelf in the fridge was missing so couldn’t store milk in there.

Fantastic lodge for weekend away Positive: Spacious, comfortable, relaxing environment with a well stocked kitchen. Beautiful surroundings, great facilities and friendly staff. Negative: The sunken hot tub was difficult for some to access. Otherwise very minor, it would be helpful to have a kitchen welcome pack with a cloth and a couple of dishwasher tablets, and some kitchen towel.
