The lodge was fantastic! Me and my son had a fantastic time and it was very well accommodating. The site is based on a golfing resort, however the map location took us down a dirt path/private access and we struggled to find it. (Friendly locals pointed us in the right direction). Only comment would be the mattress in the main bedroom would benefit from being updated which was mentioned alot in the guest book. It wouldn't put us off coming bath though and we would book for longer if we could!

We had a wonderful stay, the accomadation was better than expected, the lodge was even decorated for Christmas. This is a really peaceful park, great for golfers, the park’s grill bar was better than expected - York’s Park and Ride only 15 minutes drive away and a great way to see the city. We will be coming back again soon. Well worth a visit.

Great stay. Difficult to find but the owner was very helpful when we called. Worth the price and lovely location.

This place we stayed in was lovely and our host’s were great at responding and very helpful with anything we needed! The place was nice and clean and we couldn’t have asked for any better. We would highly recommend them to anyone and we would stay again.

Positive: I liked the area was really good. Thought that the staff on sight were very helpful really good Negative: There was a few issues with the lodge was supposed to be a non smoking lodge and there was a few burn marks on the carpet. The shower was needing replaced it was running down the flexi cable. The beds weren't the most comfortable. Apart from that was clean

I'd definitely recommend for a couple getaway or a family holiday😁 Positive: We enjoyed the location as it was very peaceful and our highlight was the hot tub! It was more than big enough for 2 of us, i'd definitely come back for a family holiday. Negative: The only complaint we have is that there were some crumbs on the table when we came in but that was minor. The bed was okay just not the best but other than that it was great.

Definitely needs a new double bed mattress. This has been reported as far back as October 25. Terrible nights sleep so would definitely not be going back again. Wasn't happy about receiving an email a few days before our stay informing us we couldn't check in until a damage waiver is paid either £40 non refundable or £250 refundable. The carpets are stained in areas so could do with shampooing. The rubber seal around the oven was hanging off. The toilet roll holder was broken and just on the floor. Bedding dirty in the second bedroom on both the twin beds.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The peaceful location was definitely one of the highlights — it was quiet and surrounded by greenery, making it the perfect place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle. We really enjoyed the calm atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. Overall, a fantastic stay and a lovely property. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing break. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A wast of 700 pond that I will probably not get back Positive: Iv stayed with jj a few time but this is not the clean Negative: Not clean the sofa bed was broke the beding was dirty

A getaway with my friend to relax and recharge, our stay allowed us to completely unwind away from our busy lives x Positive: Clean and comfortable, a real retreat with beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings. Negative: Second visit to the same property, nothing to dislike.

Wouldn’t stay in this lodge again Positive: It was quite and hot tub was great Negative: When we got there the lodge wasn’t very clean. The single bedroom floor hadn’t been hovered as there was dirty tissues and rubbish under the bed. It took two days for them to come and hover the floor. The fridge had been turned off so took a long time to cool down enough to keep milk etc cold. The carpets and the sofa are stained. The two single beds were broken and had to ask for them to be fixed which they did straight away. The tv and WiFi is hit and miss and would cut out frequently. There was dirty dishes left in the dish washer which I had to clean before they could be used. The sliding doors stick so can make it hard for them to be closed and locked. The cushions for the outdoor chairs are extremely stained and do not have covers on so are not able to be used. We have stayed on this park a few times but first time in this lodge and I won’t be booking this lodge again. For the price I paid the lodge we stayed in 3 weeks prior which was the same price was so much better. Also there is no washing machine like the previous two lodges.

Positive: Really enjoyed the location, clean, quiet, kids and dog friendly, and the restaurant was very nice too with menu choice to please everyone in the family. The hot tub was a bonus after a day of activities!

Not entirely the owners fault- But riffy Positive: The location looked great lady who handed us keys was helpful and polite however this is where the good points end. Negative: The CARAVAN because let's me honest... it isnt a lodge, stunk of wet dog, dog hairs, dirty fridge, fusty blankets to cover sofa (also covered in dog hair, dirty seats outside looked as though dodgy paws had been all over them, a bed shaped like a banana, hair in the shower, crumbs all over dining room seats, dirty towels with hand prints.... and the best one- pillow cases turned inside out to hide the fact they were dirty, skid marks on the bedsheets, hair in the bed.... unclean bedding, then refused a housekeeper till next morning, pleas to owner ignored, staff unhelpful. We left as it was our Minimoon and I was told I would have to sleep in dirty sheets till the next day as she had already worked an hr and half over her shift and the team had left for the day.. IF she could get sheets to me... I would have to change the bed MYSELF ON MY MINIMOON! It took 5 weeks many back and forth emails and a rejection of 50% refund!! We didnt even stay 1 night and was offered 50% back! NEVER AGAIN RUINED OUR SPECIAL BREAK.

We had a lovely stay at Fir Tree Lodge. The surroundings were beautiful and so peaceful, and the hot tub was a real highlight. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The hosts were friendly and very responsive throughout our stay. Reported a few points to the host for future guests and they responded efficiently. The large stain on entrance halls carpet was not the best welcome but hosts were responsive when this was reported. JJ’s Kitchen on site is definitely worth a visit too. The food was lovely and it was a great addition to our stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily recommend Fir Tree Lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Lovely lodge - comfy beds, great hot tub, nice scenery. We had everything we needed for a long weekend away with family. The oven was quite difficult to work, but once we got a hang of it there were no issues at all. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Had a lovely few nights in the lodge and it was so peaceful and relaxing. We got lucky with the weather which was beautiful. Loved the hot tub in the evenings. The lodge itself is spacious, loads of room and storage. Will definitely be back for longer next time.

Positive: Nice lodge and the park is lovely Negative: Not been cleaned! Bins full to the brim of the last occupants. Food on the floor. Toenail clippings on the floor! Windows dirty. Tried calling to tell them about this but no answer until the next day and then they still didn’t come to clean it or empty the bins!

Positive: The size of the lodge and how modern it was. Fantastic location on site.

Total shambles from start to finish. Firstly, I would say that once you're there, the accommodation is nice. Well kept inside, however the hot tub cover is old and hard work to move. The review focuses more on Host & Stay (H&S) who I will never deal with again: - We made our booking at a certain price; 3 days later I was charged a higher amount. My booking on Vrbo app had also been retrospectively changed to reflect a new higher rate (had I never screengrabbed my app confirmation, I'd have been stuck). H&S and Vrbo both continually denied liability and pointed the finger at the other; the root cause seems to be 3rd party software that H&S use. - When trying to communicate with H&S through this process,I was repeatedly asked the same questions and even addressed by the wrong name. Another symptom according to their rep on the phone of 3rd party software. - I received zero check in information; on Vrbo it just says check in 1600-2000. Driving to the property, I missed a phone call at 1715hrs with someone from Host & Stay saying that I had not yet checked in and their office closes at 1730hrs. We arrived at 1746hrs and sure enough the H&S carpark 'shed' was locked. Sales team in main building (not H&S) thankfully helped direct me to the right pitch after H&S call centre gave me access codes but zero directions to the pitch (200 pitches on site). In all, never ever again will I use Host & Stay again.

Positive: Home from home. Great locations! Negative: The double bed was very uncomfortable. A mattress cover was provided, which made it slightly better.

Positive: Loved the hot tub! There was also plenty of space for us all and plenty of storage. Lovely little extras like games in the cupboard. Great place to stay!
