Great location, modern and spacious, dog friendly, would book again Positive: Really well done out, lots of space, smart tvs in both bedrooms, lovely rooms, fully equipped kitchen. Good location as equal walking distance to the beach and the centre, free parking on the street. Dog friendly near patches of grass and also has a secure space outdoor to allow them to use the loo. Would definitely book again highly reccomend Negative: Only little things but just for feedback: It was very cold when we arrived, heating took a good day to take the edge off. No loo roll at all. Seating for 3 x people rather than x 4 in the living room, 2 seater chair and single chair. No lamps, cushions, tables for drinks ect. No tea, coffee, milk. So just make sure you bring everything with you.

Brilliant, would stay again Positive: It was spacious. Very comfortable beds. Slept like a dream. Good shower. Great for pets. Big television. Negative: The taps in the kitchen was already damaged, struggle to get the water out. Struggle with the hobs. Wasn’t sure how the work.

Excellent location. We’ll definitely return. Positive: The bed was very comfy and the apartment quiet. The facilities were brilliant too. This is a stylish and tastefully decorated apartment. For us the added bonus was being able to bring the dogs who were quite at home on their beds in the lounge.

Loved the property and its facilities. Very comfy. Positive: Beautiful flat type property. Very modern, extremely clean. Allowed dogs however no allowing us to bath them would have been an issue if staying a week. Negative: The insurance scam. You really need to add that to the cost upfront. Sending a message giving a choice of £250 upfront deposit isn’t a pleasant.

Positive: Whilst the flat itself is lovely and furnished to a high standard and the location is okay for street parking, the overall experience felt rigid and unwelcoming. The constant messaging and lack of basic provisions made it hard to relax. We come to this area twice a year, but sadly we wouldn’t stay at this property again—or with Host and Stay Negative: We stayed at Fauna, 2 Chubb Hill Road for a weekend getaway with x4 adults, and unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations. • The WiFi password listed in the app was incorrect - we needed this for the tele. We eventually found the updated password handwritten in a picture frame, which felt disorganised and confusing. • The living room only had comfortable seating for three, despite our booking being for four adults. This meant one of our party—aged 50—had to sit on a bean bag or at the kitchen table during the evenings, which was far from comfortable. • Only two toilet rolls were provided for four people over 2 nights/3 days. This felt unnecessarily stingy and inconvenient. • There was just one key available, even though the flat is set up with two double beds for two couples. This made coordinating days out difficult, as we had to stay together or meet up to share the key. • The view from the window included dead birds on the sill, which was unpleasant and unsettling. • The flat was cold throughout our stay. The thermostat is located in the kitchen, where everyone tends to gather, but the rest of the flat remained chilly. We had to leave internal doors open and the bathroom door closed to try and spread some warmth. • The tone of communication from the host and stay company was off-putting. We received multiple emails and messages warning about damage and liability before arrival, which created a negative impression. We felt compelled to take photos of existing damage upon arrival to avoid being blamed, and ended up purchasing the £30 accident insurance purely out of concern/pressure. • A neighbour’s dog barked and woke us up at 7am each morning, which disrupted our rest - not something anyone can control. • There were only four cups provided, which is the bare minimum for a group of four—again, not thoughtful or generous. • The bath plug was broken, which made using the shower difficult

Positive: Fantastic location to walk into Whitby, perfect apartment for a weekend away with friends. There is everything you need to have a great time away spotlessly clean and comfortable. Negative: It was all perfect from start to finish.

Positive: Great location, 5 minutes walk to harbour. Managed to park outside property, but not always available. Seems to be more chance of parking outside property after people have finished work. Very clean with all facilities for a longer stay. NOTE: Apartment is on a first floor Negative: Had no issues and would happily book again.

Fauna Whitby Positive: Love this appartment ,Its modern ,clean, with comfy beds ,a well equipped kitchen for long or short stay ,we have done both here, Good location only a short walk into town , will be back again soon

Negative: There was a mix up so despite me checking that the property had a twin and a double room, we got two doubles. This meant an adult and child had to share.

The apartment was convenient for meeting up with family in the centre of Whitby. Positive: Light & spacious living area Negative: Provision of a coffee table or small nest of tables would make it easier when relaxing with a cup of coffee or having a drink whilst watch tv. This could be placed against the wall underneath the tv screen.

Good base for a stay in Whitby but a few steps from greatness. It's fine. Positive: Location, large double bed was comfy and normal double bed was also comfy. If I were going to Whitby I'd stay there again if needed but also look around. Negative: Could have been cleaner. We found hair on the floor and had to clean a few things but we had an 11 month old so maybe we wouldn't have check so thoroughly if they weren't crawling around the floor. The sofa was a bit uncomfortable and it could have used a foot stool or coffee table but everything shown on pictures were there. Slightly smaller then we though but that's always the case with judging things from pictures. A few things were broken too like the plug for the bath and some window catches but standard wear and tear from a holiday home. There were a lot of subtle things that are fine on their own but add up. Things like no keyring on the keys, broken plug as mentioned, wobbly dining chairs, torn sofa that was quite uncomfortable, having to wedge windows open with random objects, no instructions for hob but eventually got it working and wobbly toilet seat. That said, I'd stay there again, probably for a weekend but max 3 nights.

Very enjoyable Positive: Property was clean and tidy. Comfortable with everything we needed for a 2 night stay. Great pub 5mins walking distance. Negative: Although we were a party of 3 the sitting area needed an extra chair, not suitable for a party of 4. When taking a shower you are on view to the road above. My husband and I were very uncomfortable with this view. Please install a blind.

Ideal Location for exploring Whitby Positive: Large clean open space. Little things like dishwasher tablets, soaps, towels etc provided Negative: Parking was a struggle

Enjoyable weekend. More comfortable seating needed. Positive: Location. Bedrooms and beds comfortable. View from the lounge window. Negative: Only comfortable seating for 3 people and 4 of us. Not many 50/60 year olds want to sit on the floor on bean bags. A rug on the wooden floor would make it more homely.

Excellent accommodation, beautiful town Positive: Very clean and modern, the property was not too far from the town centre but far enough away from the night life Negative: The only thing we think it needed was a couple of small tables to put your drinks on whilst sitting on the settee

Positive: We liked the cleanliness and the spacious furnishings, also we particularly liked the fitted kitchen units. The location was convenient for the town centre. Negative: I was disappointed there was no hairdryer but realise that there wasn't one listed. Also we couldn't get the shower to work but managed as we were only there a couple of days.

Overall a very happy stay Positive: Location & accommodation great. Very clean & very comfortable Negative: Minor details bit the bath drain plug didn't work, we had to do it manually. The kitchen tap was loose in the sink unit.

Pictures a fair representation. Soft seats for 3 ppl+ dining table & four old school upright chairs (no good to watch a movie if 4 ppl). No coffee table so drinks on the floor. Big dining table.Listing states no private parking. Implies good street parking. Nope. Short walk fr the sea & the first street with unrestricted parking. Everybody parks there. Pay to use car park couple of streets away. Wi-fi details provided not correct (wrong network name). Easy to work out which you should connect to (by property name) but the password did not work either (phone/laptop/ipad). No typo as even copied and pasted from the supplied info. Called the office day 1, advised to restart router etc. No joy so sent an email AND messaged them via the AirBnb website. Nobody did anything to help. No WiFi for 4 nights. Review on their website shows I’m not thew only one. Mobile signal weak. Ok for text or App & voice not web pages. No instructions in flat. Why? Cld not unlock hob, Next flat had same prob.

Really lovely apartment in a great location. Ideal if you are exploring the coast line or needing somewhere near to Scarborough to go to the outdoor theatre for an event if you are planning on driving over, but do not want to stay in Scarborough

It was okay. You need a plumber. Positive: Self catering Negative: On arrival at 4 pm the flat was cold and there was no hot water. The boiler was broken. I managed to fix the boiler and got heating and hot water. In the bathroom the bath plug mechanism was broken. You had to lift out the plug. In addition the bathroom radiator was leaking. We've have left one of the kitchen bowls catching the drips otherwise the tiling will be ruined. In lounge there were only 3 seats. One of us pensioners had to sit on the dining room table chair or the beanbag; that was fun getting up. We also noted at scratch on the wall above the radiator. I've taken a photo. No hair dryer.

Overall Excellent! Positive: The apartment was in the perfect location, beautifully decorated and was lovely and spacious. It was lovely and clean with excellent facilities (including a dishwasher and a washing machine). Negative: There were some teething problems when we arrived- 1) the parking is not an available space for the apartment, it is just on street parking so first come first serve, this is not detailed in the advertisement and was a bit of a disappointment as I filtered by parking space; 2) the lock boxes were not labelled on the outside so we had to check all 3 to find the right one and the label for Fauna was missing, plus the locks were a bit fiddly and took a bit to get in; 3) the remote for the TV was not out so we had to try 3 different ones and change the batteries; 4) the radiators in the bedrooms were not on and there were no instructions for them so that took a while to figure out which in winter was a bit disappointing.

Lots of style at a price Positive: Excellent finish to renovation work, nice selection of furniture and fittings Negative: Parking. The info provided states on street on first come first served basis. Didnt say it was virtually impossible to get a space close to the property. An explanation of the local parking disc scheme would have helped Instructions about appliances would have been helpful. Online brochure goes into tv in depth, nothing about induction hon The request for a returnable deposit also seemed a bit off, we were almost afraid to do anything in apartment incase it prevented deposit return Lack of bathroom blind off putting as were comments about what temperature expected from boiler

Brilliant apartment with a great location Positive: High quality finishings with home from home comfort. Great location easily walkable to town Negative: Nothing to dislike, property is great. Only point to note is the key safe is a little temperamental one of the buttons doesn’t work well, we managed to open it after several attempts

Positive: The aoartment was excellent, Negative: We had trouble with the lock box the numbers were sticking it took us over an hour to gain access the only way to contact anyone was via the booking agent there were numerous calls and flat phone batteries did not make it easy, we were charged a £25 waver which was none refundable however we were highly delighted with the property
