We had a lovely stay here. It was so nice and cosy. The hob is quite technical but we figured it out no problem. We celebrated my mums 70th here as she loves Whitby and it was a really close drive. We also had food on Sunday at the Stables which was so festive and cute! It was just a tad dark when arrives so some lights outside the cabin would have been good and on the lane towards the cabin.
Stayed as a family for 3 nights. Location is lovely, very well maintained and peaceful. Interior of the Lodge was really stylish and the living and kitchen areas were particularly comfortable and contemporary. The twin bedroom is a bit tricky for two adults as there is no gap between the beds but just a minor thing. Mattresses would probably benefit from being replaced soon but they did the job for a few days. The decking area was lovely to sit out in the sun and the furniture was really comfortable. Location is fantastic for getting into Whitby and the park and ride is only a short drive away. We ate in both pubs in Egton and received a warm welcome and a fantastic meal in each. Host was very responsive and we would stay again.
Have a lovely stay. Good location and very child friendly
Lovely cabin. Situated in quiet corner of caravan park with wooded area to rear. Short walk available through woods 1-2 miles, just enough for small children. Easy access to Whitby/Robin Hoods Bay etc. Checkin was simple and was clean on arrival. Tea/coffee provided and towels/bedding. Wi-Fi was fast, no issues watching IPTV or devices on an evening. Would Recommend.
Beautiful cabin, great space for families to relax. The cabin had everything we needed and hosts were very quick to respond to our queries.
Great location and area, lots to see and do, the lodge was a good size for our family, comfortable and clean. Some basics provided which is helpful as shop was a car drive away. We visited Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick Bay, all a short drive away, lots of parking but go early ish as it fills up quickly!
Lovely lodge in peaceful surroundings, very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. Conveniently located for Whitby park and ride and the NYMR at Grosmont. Would definitely stay again!
Really lovely location, great for exploring the area. The lodge is very well specified, living area is perfect for a family so the chef doesn't miss out. Highly recommended!
A stylish, comfortable and well equipped property. Warm & cosy during our November visit The site was beautiful and very handy for visits to Whitby and the Moors. Would recommend without hesitation, it accommodated two couples with ease and would also suit families.
Fantastic home from home in the woods Positive: Everything was first class. Negative: They should do an idiot guide for the cooker and hob.
A beautiful, clean and highly finished property on a lovely site! Positive: Absolutely beautiful property, everything was to a high standard and spotlessly clean. It’s a lovely touch to have shampoo, soap, tea and coffee etc. and nice to have access to all the tv subscription channels. The communication was excellent from the owner and the site is beautiful, and so tidy! A lovely location with a trail through the woods around the site, within a short drive of some lovely spots like Whitby, grosmont and a chip shop in the next village! Negative: There’s not much at all! Maybe the fact it doesn’t have a hot tub but that’s understandable, the dishwasher door was a little wobbly.
Lovely cabin in the woods very well located for Whitby and Runswick Bay. Beautiful forest walks and a lovely well-spaced out site.
wonderful peaceful setting in woodland. only 15 minutes away from the coast. spacious lodge with everything we needed.
We had a lovely short stay here, very peaceful surrounded by forest - we saw chickens and rabbits! Close to Whitby and surrounding areas. Easy checkin / clear instructions etc. Would recommend!
A beautiful and tranquil place. Feels really isolated and quiet. We spent the start of the year here with our friends and also celebrated our wedding anniversary. The cabin is modern and cosy with quite a technical induction hob - where thankfully the instruction booklet provided came in handy!\n\nThe cabin is located in a lovely place inside the woods and is a perfect base to explore the North York Moors and the Dales with scenic drives all around. \n\nOne thing to consider though is the accuracy of the amenities and lack of. Listing says salt, pepper and oil but upon clarifying with Host & Stay, unfortunately this isn’t the case. There is no paper towels, no extra bin bags, and limited dishwashing pods and an almost depleted dishwashing liquid provided. We were told to contact the receptionist for the place and the receptionist told us to contact Host & Stay instead. We went back and forth and in the end we decided to just go out and buy some.\n\nAll in all, a lovely & relaxing place!
This cabin truly surpassed our expectations. A very special experience over new year 2024/2025. Extremely clean, warm and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed every minute of staying there and only wish we could have stayed longer. Hopefully be back again soon.
Throughly enjoyed our stay over the August bank holiday. The lodge is amazing, plenty of space, beautiful decor and stunning location. Would definitely book again. The site the lodge is situated on is very quiet, nice walks around the woods surrounding it and the village is a short drive away. We ate at the Witching Post and can definitely recommend lovely food and friendly hosts/staff. We used the park and ride, about 10 minutes from the site, to get into Whitby and was ideal especially over the busy bank holiday.
Positive: So many luxurious touches. Beautiful decor, fantastic facilities and in an amazing location next to woodlands. Ideal place to visit coastal bays and enjoy fabulous resterants. Negative: Didn't want to leave, could have stayed there forever.
Absolutely fabulous. Wonderful luxury lodge situated in a great location for Whitby, Grosmont steam railway just for starters and a fab well run site at Lady Cross Plantation Egton.
Great place to explore Whitby and surrounding area. Cabin had plenty of space, quiet and brilliant for hosting our small group of friends. Would definitely return if visiting again
Beautiful lodge with excellent location for visiting Whitby! We wanted a relaxing weekend away with our baby girl and that's what we got. we definitely will be back. Only downfall is it's not very baby/infant friendly, with not much room for a cot in the rooms. no highchair or cot provided either, this could be a great addition here. All in all an excellent stay that we loved !
We really enjoyed our stay at Eller Beck. It was the perfect place for a family of four and well located for plenty of local attractions. The lodge was well equipped and felt very homely. Everything was very clean and tidy and we settled in very quickly.
Beautiful lodge in lovely surroundings.
Fantastic lodge and stay when finally got into park and lodge. Positive: Fantastic lodge in a nice quiet wooded area 4 miles outside Whhitby, just what we wanted. Outside and inside was luxury, all up market fixtures and fittings slept like a log, fantastic bathrooms and easy to work showers, just a shame we could only stop 2 nights. Two good pubs 1)tiger inn near elvinton 2) the ellerby country inn near Runswick bay. (we use them all the time) If weather good and warm there is a nice beer garden at the White house also with amazing food next to Whitby golf coures (whitby side) with free street parking. Negative: 1) we could NOT get into the secure area - we got a pass code sent to us 6 hours before hand, but could not get pass the barrier, because no persons were at reception to great us, we did text this person called Lisa in the afternoon as told to do via e-mail to let her know what time we were arriving (4-45), so we could not get into the park area and had NO idea which lodge ours were. Daughter got out the car and ran to test out other lodges key code and finally found our lodge. But we still not get pass the barrier, until a regular in a car and opened the barrier up for us, as she had a key fob, were us had to put a 4 digit code into pad. So we were in and went to lodge unpacked, but still could not get out of park as had NO code for Barrier as we had a table booked at a pub for 6-45. Me and daughter went back to barrier, and this person came out of the woods a worker called Kerian who told us that the wardens were on holiday and this lady called Lisa should have been there, he then tried to text her again and finally got a text back at 5-50 with the barrier code. THEW. 2) Too many e-mails from Host and Stay, they could easy put all the information we needed to get into the park and lodge into 1 e-mail. (we did ring Host and stay up at 5-15 about our entry problems and we were 7th in the queue, finally answered at 27 minutes past 5, we explained to the lady we were trapped in the park and could not get out, she said she would try and get in touch with reception but we close at 5-30, and we never heard from her again. 3) Morning of departure, at 9-30 daughter was getting a shower in main bathroom and we heard an almighty bang and a shout of pain, the shower pole that the hand held shower heard had come away from wall and landed on her foot, although bruised no broken bones, but was limping fro most of the day, the cleaners arrived at 9-55, so I told them what had happened, and I left a note as well, saying it must be fixed before new people arrive later in the day,
Great lodge in a lovely location. Positive: Lovely quiet location.
Lovely cabin. The site was very quiet and clean. There were pleasant short woodland walks. The furniture was very comfortable. Good quality bedding and comfortable beds.
A beautiful & very peaceful site, surrounded by woods & nature walks. The cabin was lovely, very spacious for 5 of us with a modern feel. 10/10, would recommend & definitely stay here again if we were in the area. It's very close to Whitby & lots of other places to visit both coastal and more inland.
We had a gorgeous stay at Eller Beck, it was peaceful, surrounded by beautiful woods, the lodge was super clean, spacious and modern. We had everything we needed and more. Sitting out on the veranda was lovely, relaxing in the living area was perfect. Just everything, 10/10, will stay again.
Magical Positive: The cabin was fabulous, it was just as it is in the photos, lots of little extras such as the illuminated, magnetic mirror in one of the bathrooms. Surrounded by nature a magical place to stay. Would definitely recommend 10/10. Negative: There was nothing that we did not like.
Positive: Rust en luxe inrichting Negative: Voor 10 nachten te weinig handdoeken Moeilijke thermostaat zorgde voor onnodige verwarming.
Gorgeous lodge Amazing location
beautiful location plenty to do and see decking was secure for the toddlers and fabulous for the adults when the children were in bed. would definitely recommend & hopefully return to
A beautiful location and very practical, close to Whitby but quiet and secluded. Perfect for our needs. Communication from Host & Stay was excellent. Good information, fast and friendly response to questions.
The lodge would have been perfect but badly let down by the kitchen equipment and utensils. Random equipment was just shoved in drawers and cupboards which had not been cleaned for sometime and if you wanted to cook from scratch you were struggling. I pulled out a baking tray to find it covered in grease and previous cooking debris so everything had to be washed before use. Such a shame as it is a lovely modern lodge on a quiet park.
loved our stay at this lodge..host was very attentive no complaints from us 😊
Very nice cabin and location. Could have been a 5 star trip but the cleanliness was appalling. Severe smell of mould in ensuite, extraction fans full of dirt, awful smell coming from dishwasher, and smell of sewage from kitchen drains.
quite, secluded, peaceful, close to town and good central base
Lovely clean cabin, very peaceful and quiet surroundings but only a short drive to Whitby with lots to do.
Gorgeous lodge in a beautiful location. Spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable accommodation. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a holiday in that part of the country and we hope to be back very soon.
Great lodge in great location Positive: Loved the lodge and the location. The lodge was beautifully finished with almost everything you might need. Negative: We stayed during particularly hot weather and the lodge was like an oven. It would have been great to have some fans as the temp inside reached 32c at one point. There was a fire nearby during our stay so opening the windows was not an option as when we did, the smell of smoke was overbearing. The owners can’t help the heat and the fire but maybe they may consider a fan per bedroom.
Great place, in a great location. Peaceful and tranquil, just what I was looking for. Highly recommend.
stunning location. Very nice lodge. kitchen drawers and utensils could have been cleaner.
On the whole we had great time Positive: modern and comfortable peaceful although I think it wouldn’t be so peaceful if the site was full, having said we had a really lovely stay and enjoyed Whitby and the surroundings would like to come again in the future. Negative: There were a few issues. The en suite shower door was very stiff, no tea towels or pan scrubbers. Would have appreciated a proper welcome pack for the price we paid for a weekend not a few sachets of coffee tea and milk.
Lovely lodge. Plenty of space for 4 of us. Very peaceful location.
Positive: Peaceful location surrounded by woodland. The lodge was very clean and comfortable with a lovely outside space with comfortable chairs and cushions. Negative: I thought that check in after 4pm and check out by 10.00am was a little too severe.
Nice clean lodge but more kitchenware is needed. Negative: Poorly equipped. Not enough pans. No cookware for the microwave. Not enough wine glasses or tumblers.
Fab time great cabin in a great location Positive: Beautiful property in very peaceful surroundings. Comfortable and everything needed for a great stay Negative: Nothing
We loved our stay was beautiful and quiet. Cabin was clean and spacious. very informative what there is to do around the area. We definitely could have stayed there few days longer.
Excellent stay, property as described and a lovely setting for a week away.
Stayed for the wk end, had a really good stay , beautiful location
Had a lovely stay but there's a lack of essentials such as tea towels and equipment in the kitchen but the area is lovely and it was a lovely and clean lodge
Very comfortable and clean. Lovely location, ideal for Yorkshire coast and Moors.
Lovely relaxing break Positive: Lovely location, lovely property. Mostly had everything we needed. Not far from anywhere we had planned to visit. Negative: No oven gloves, only 2 half pint size glasses, could do with some tumblers. One bed found uncomfortable, mattress too springy and dipped a lot in middle, turned mattress which made it a bit better but still dipped, uncomfortable with a bad back. Salt and pepper mills need filling up. Needs at least a bigger mirror in hall not a shaving mirror, plus some hooks in bathroom to hang things up whilst showering. Only small issues, nothing major.
Wonderful stay, we will be back Positive: Fabulous location and lovely decor. Very comfortable throughout. Negative: Cutlery/mugs and baking trays weren’t as clean as we would have liked. The rest of the property was extremely clean though.
We had a wonderful stay at Eller Beck 😀 Such a lovely lodge, spotlessly clean, amazingly quiet, great facilities, everything you need. Great base for exploring the area and coming back to a peaceful relaxing lodge. Would definitely visit again! Thanks for all
Really enjoyed our stay, the cabin was clean, spacious and quiet. Would recommend!
Happy with our stay. We had some issues with the heating in the cabin at first, probably due to quite cold temperature outside. We could only call Host & Stay if it was an emergency, so we had to ask for help by mail. It was ok, but took longer time that way. Would recomend the cabin for warm summer days :)
We had a lovely stay. All was as described by the hosts.
Great stay at Eller Beck - clean, spacious, warm, well-appointed & a good location to explore NYM & the coast. We're relatively local & will definitely be back! ( Note : accommodation run by a 3rd party, which can be slightly confusing )
Great lodge and beautiful location. Would recommend .
Positive: Lovely cosy cabin for a weekend away close to Whitby , peaceful location, would definitely stay again . Negative: Nothing
Very good Positive: Nice location, clean Negative: No handwash , shower gel, shampoo
Positive: quit location
Very clean and tidy
Lovely accommodation in a great location. Positive: Lovely modern accommodation. Good heating facilities. Great location with access to the North Yorkshire moors, Whitby, Sandsend and Saltburn-By-The-Sea. Negative: Very small constructive criticism; a few shelves in bedrooms two & three would have been great, also maybe some door hooks. We struggled with where to put stuff! Apart from that no negative feedback.
fantastic lodge, within a lovely quiet setting but within each reach of all attractions
Positive: Location and comfort and size Negative: Windows were a bit dirty and dusty light shades. Only one ‘proper’ wine glass
Positive: The cabin is fantastic, with everything you need for an enjoyable, comfortable stay. Negative: There was nothing that we didn't like.
Love lodge, really cosy and modern and well kept. Nice location just a 5 min drive into Whitby.
Excellent location for our needs, peaceful, and beautifully appointed accommodation.
All good
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cabin. It is modern yet cosy. The beds are comfortable and there is everything you need for a short break. It is just a 10 minute drive to Whitby. There is also a pub/restaurant which had just reopened after refurbishment during our stay called ‘the stables’, it is a 5 minute drive away from the cabin with a delicious Sunday lunch and a lovely beer garden with beautiful views. The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars is that there were crumbs left on the dining chairs and in the kitchen drawers but this wouldn’t stop us from returning. Thanks for a great stay!
Lovely stay. The cabin was beautiful and so clean. Very peaceful site and beautiful surroundings. Very clean and great communication
A nice private and peaceful cabin stay in the woods close to some nice coastal site seeing Positive: The cabin was very nicely decorated with comfortable beds and clean bed linen and fresh towels Negative: having to be out by 10am on a Sunday, the WIFI wasn't great and we had to figure out the code as it was written wrong on the Info we were given. A car charging point would have also been useful
A beautiful lodge at the edge of the woods. So peaceful and relaxing in a great location only 10 minutes from Whitby. Would highly recommend and felt at home as soon as we got there in the modern open living area. Will definitely be back
A nice property in a peaceful location
Wonderful stay in the most beautiful lodge
Lovely lodge - very well equipped. It is in a great location for Whitby and the surrounding area and we had a lovely stay with good weather which was a bonus!
fantastic stay with everything you need just loved it . Positive: excellent Negative: nothing
Well appointed cabin in quiet woodland location. Less than 10 minutes into Whitby. Great local pubs. Would recommend.
Excellent guest. We would love to welcome you back in the future!
We had a lovely relaxing stay. Perfect location would highly recommend.
Eller Beck was a fantastic place to stay - clean, comfortable, lovely decor and well appointed. The site was very peaceful and a perfect location to visit so many places. Two good pubs serving food in the village nearby. All communication was clear, prompt and friendly. We will definitely stay there again!
Lovely few days in Egton. Great location. Communication couldn’t have been better. Will definitely be returning in the future.
Positive: A lovely, clean spacious lodge in a quiet location. Nice walks around the site itself.
Excellent cabin. Has everything that you could want. 5 mins from the centre of whitby by car. Will definitely book again
